00:00It was a very exciting finish to the week in the NFL,
00:03and we do have a couple of very big games coming up this week
00:07that will decide who is in and who is out with a couple of divisions.
00:10One of the things was wrapped up pretty tight last night
00:13in one of the best games of the NFL season.
00:16The San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears just went toe-to-toe,
00:20scoring points constantly, tied at 7, tied at 14, tied at 21,
00:25tied at 28, tied at 35, and then eventually the 49ers
00:29end up taking this one because the Chicago Bears
00:33failed to score a touchdown late.
00:35They were near the goal line.
00:37Awesome game, 42-38, the final.
00:41The 49ers now controlling their own destiny, a win next week.
00:44They're the number one overall seed in the National Football Conference.
00:49That's the NFC, not the AFC.
00:51And by the way, the 49ers could potentially get to a Super Bowl
00:54where they would play it in their home building in February.
00:58What a game last night.
01:00Here's Kyle Shanahan on the Chicago Bears playing great
01:04but just coming up short against his team.
01:06They stepped it up huge, man.
01:08I mean, that team's had more fourth-quarter comebacks, I think,
01:11than anyone in the history of the NFL.
01:13I know there's a lot we can clean up from the whole game.
01:16Probably made too many mistakes, but to get it done,
01:19they're at their best when their best was needed,
01:22and to stop them on that last drive was huge.
01:23You know, that's a tough one for our guys.
01:26It's somewhat similar there to the Green Bay game a few weeks ago
01:31just in terms of coming down to the last minute and last play of the game
01:35and just coming up one play short there.
01:38So, you know, the first half certainly didn't go the way we wanted it to.
01:42As a team, you know, they controlled the ball.
01:46They did a good job building the lead there, you know, down by seven at halftime.
01:51We couldn't stay on the field on offense.
01:53We were 0 for 3 on third downs.
01:55They were 5 for 7 on third downs in that first half.
01:59And yet, second half, I did feel like we picked up our game a little bit as a team.
02:03And, you know, we closed that gap,
02:05and we made it to where we could potentially win that thing there at the end.
02:09So I was proud of the guys for that.
02:13And now we get to the other games in the NFL.
02:15Maybe not as exciting, but certainly the end result in the last couple of minutes
02:20saw the Philadelphia Eagles, in a very low-scoring slog,
02:24beat the Buffalo Bills 13-12.
02:27Buffalo went for a two-point conversion, which they did not complete.
02:30That essentially ended the game.
02:33The Bills are favored.
02:34Now they're destined to go on the road in the playoffs.
02:38Total was 45 and a half, so this went under.
02:40Eagles, of course, have already wrapped up the division.
02:42Here's Nick Sirianni on needing some offense as we move forward here.
02:46You got to give yourself points when you win football games.
02:49There's always things to clean up when you come out of a football game.
02:53But if you come out of a football game where you win in the road,
02:57or on the road, again, in a hostile environment,
03:00they got really good fans against a really good football team
03:05that's had the sustained success that we have.
03:07If you come out of this and you're just thinking about all the negative things
03:13that happened, that makes for a miserable existence.
03:15We'll get there.
03:16We'll get to what we need to clean up.
03:18A really good first half by the offense, not a great second half,
03:21and a lot of different reasons why.
03:23But I'm never going to – winning's hard in this league,
03:29and I'm always going to enjoy a win.
03:32And then I'm going to be really hypercritical on myself first and foremost,
03:35and then the rest of the guys after that and the coaches.
03:39So, yeah, you feel great.
03:41Meanwhile, the hottest team of the NFL remains the Jacksonville Jaguars.
03:45They win again.
03:46Seven straight wins on the doorstep of winning the AFC South.
03:49They need one more.
03:50They were four-and-a-half-point favorites.
03:52They beat Indianapolis on the road 23-17,
03:56led once again by Trevor Lawrence, who rushed for a couple of touchdowns.
03:59Liam Cohen said a lot of his players, like the rest of the league,
04:02seemingly sick going into the game but coming out with the win.
04:04Guys that came up sick today, and a ton of them were key contributors as well.
04:10So very proud of the group, going on the road in the division again, getting a huge win.
04:15This sets you up next week for winning the division titles right there.
04:19Yeah.
04:19I'm assuming you're not going to have to use the disrespect thing for that next week.
04:22No, I mean, we had a pretty chippy battle against those guys the first time we played them.
04:27Know that it's going to be a physical football game.
04:30They're coming off – I don't know what – obviously they're up to.
04:32But they came off a good win against Kansas City, physical football game.
04:36We know what kind of players they have.
04:38And that quarterback keeps getting better.
04:39So, yeah, this is definitely an opportunity for us to continue to ascend and get better.
04:46Not all is rosy in the NFL.
04:48Just ask the Pittsburgh Steelers.
04:50All they needed to do was beat the Cleveland Browns.
04:52They couldn't get it done.
04:53Now they've got to play a win-or-go-home game against the Baltimore Ravens coming up on Sunday.
04:58They lose 13-6 in Cleveland.
05:00Mike Tomlin certainly knows what is next for his team after a tough divisional loss.
05:07You know, tough, hard for AFC North matchup.
05:11We certainly didn't make enough plays today.
05:13And they did.
05:14You've got to compliment those guys on an outstanding winning effort.
05:18And it's back to work for us.
05:21We've been here before.
05:22And so certainly we've got a big week ahead of us, man, in the big game in Akashure next weekend.
05:27From an injury standpoint, man, Darnell Washington had a broken arm.
05:30He wasn't able to go back in.
05:32The rest is just bumps and bruises associated with play.
05:35Questions?
05:36Mike, you surprised your team played like you did with so much on the one?
05:39You know, I didn't think we played poorly.
05:41We just didn't make enough plays.
05:43I thought they played well.
05:44I thought the game was kind of unfolding in the way that you would anticipate.
05:48But we never made that signature play that kind of got us over the hump that generally is the deciding factor in games like this.
05:57And we generally make them.
05:58We didn't make them today.
06:00Sunday night, Ravens and Steelers for the division.
06:04Meanwhile, Derrick Henry had his best game of the season.
06:07The Ravens did stay alive.
06:08They beat the Packers 41-24 on the road.
06:11Henry had 216 rushing yards.
06:12Meanwhile, the Buccaneers will play the Carolina Panthers for the division Saturday afternoon.
06:18What in the world is going on with Tampa Bay?
06:21They lose again, this time to the Dolphins in Miami.
06:2420-17.
06:25The Bucs were huge favorites in this one.
06:28The Dolphins looked like the better team.
06:29Baker Mayfield at this point is searching for answers.
06:32Physical mistakes are going to happen.
06:34But then later on, you know, some of those penalties really hurt us to not get some points.
06:38And then obviously the block field goal.
06:40So, that's just a matter of execution, of, you know, not shooting yourselves in the foot in the first half.
06:45In the second half, yeah, that second interception, 21 did a good job of, he's rolling back to the middle of the field.
06:54It's cover three, but he went off my eyes and reacted and stopped and went back for it.
06:59So, for me, it's don't just assume that he's going to be where he's supposed to be.
07:04But, you know, football players make plays, and he made a good play right there and read my eyes.
07:08So, offensively, it comes back to execution.
07:12You know, we obviously gave ourselves a fighting chance right there, but, yeah, didn't do enough.
07:19And, yeah, those turnovers obviously crushed us.
07:22So, got to come back.
07:24And here's the thing, we still have a chance next week.
07:27We have been blessed with a chance next week, and guys need to handle it the right way.
07:31I think Levante spoke to the team right after the game and hit the nail on the head.
07:37So, got to respond.
07:41Big second half for the Seahawks as they beat the Panthers 27-10.
07:46Again, Seattle will play next week for the division as well.
07:49Patriots already have things wrapped up.
07:51They beat the Jets in the first five minutes of the game.
07:53But the final score is 42-10.
07:55They win in MetLife.
07:56Finally, the Giants beat the Raiders on Sunday.
08:00So, the Raiders look like they're going to have the number one overall pick in the draft.
08:03Second year in a row that this has happened to the Giants, or second out of the last three years.
08:0734-10.
08:08Saints beat the Titans 34-26.
08:11New Orleans finishing the season strong.
08:13They've won four straight games.
08:15And the Cincinnati Bengals, led by Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase, he threw two touchdowns to Chase in this one.
08:21They beat the hapless Arizona Cardinals, who have lost seven games in a row to wrap up their season.
08:27They'll do that next week.
