00:00So, let's take a look at this a little bit closer here before we get back into this award

00:08So, we know the teams with the buys as of last night would be Oregon, Texas, SMU, and

00:17Boise State, which would then set you up for Penn State, Arizona State, Ohio State, and

00:22Tennessee, Notre Dame, Alabama, which is a blockbuster game, and Georgia and Indiana

00:30would be as of now.

00:32The matchups for the college football playoff, I don't think any of those four will be the

00:40same on Sunday.

00:43I think it will change a little bit based on the winners and losers of the Texas-Georgia

00:50game and the Oregon-Penn State game and how those shift slightly.

00:54And obviously, if Arizona State loses to Iowa State and if Boise loses to UNLV.

00:58Well, first of all, when I look at it, I can't believe that SMU is the three and a buy and

01:04that Boise is a four and a buy.

01:07That to me is just, that's the beginning of the problems you have with this whole thing.

01:12Neither one of those teams, I am sorry, deserves to have a buy in this whole thing.

01:20First of all, and nobody wants to hear it, but nobody gives a rat's ass about Boise State.

01:25Second of all, nobody gives a rat's ass about SMU.

01:28They bought their way into the ACC and you've got to be kidding, they're going to win it

01:33and they're going to be the team with a buy?

01:36I have seen it all.

01:37And then, you know, Indiana get killed by Georgia, they're going to get killed.

01:44But that doesn't mean for one second, one iota, that they don't deserve to be there.

01:49Now, people are going to say they should have never been in there to begin with.

01:53We've argued about this yesterday or Monday, whatever it is.

01:56And I said, look, you go 11 and one, you lose at Columbus, but you were forced to kick Purdue's

02:03ass and they did that at 66.

02:04Now they deserve to be in there, 11 and one.

02:07That's like telling me that Alabama deserves to be in at nine and three.

02:12If you're going to argue with me about a team that's 11 and one, shut the F up.

02:16But they will get their ass beat.

02:18Show me those other games.

02:19I want to see those other games.

02:21Again, like in franchise.

02:25Notre Dame, Alabama and Penn State and Arizona State were the other games that were up there.

02:32Notre Dame's going to win.

02:33Penn State will beat Arizona State.

02:35I think Arizona State's a great story and they'll be lucky if they beat Iowa State this

02:41week.

02:42Although, I will say, I think they can beat Iowa State.

02:46Doing it is another story.

02:47And then Ohio State, Tennessee, obviously Ohio State will be at home, which will be

02:53an advantage for them.

02:55But we saw them with their big advantage last Saturday against Michigan, a five win, a five

03:01loss team that beat their ass.

03:03Frankly, if you ask me, they beat their ass.

03:05They controlled them the whole day and they beat them 13, 10 in their building.

03:09So if Michigan can do it, Tennessee can do it.

03:12Yeah.

03:13Well, yeah, this is obviously the first year that they're doing this.

03:15This is the first year we've gone to 12 teams.

03:18We like that they've gone to 12, but they have some things that they're going to need

03:22to fix going forward.

03:24And one of those was the first thing you brought up.

03:27I think that you should guarantee getting into the tournament to those five conference

03:34champions.

03:35I do not think that you should guarantee buys for all of the conference champions.

03:41I think that you're setting yourself up to now.

03:44I mean, I've seen people make this point.

03:46I kind of made it to yesterday.

03:47You know, if you're the five seed, you conceivably have an easier road to get to the semis and

03:54the final than the one seed.

03:55And even though you got to play an extra game, you're playing easier games along the way

04:00to get there.

04:01I think they need to just give the buys to whoever the four highest seeds are.

04:07And if that means it's three Big Ten teams or two Big Ten teams or two SEC teams or however,

04:13it is what it is.

04:15I think that that's kind of how they have to do things.

04:18I don't like the automatic buys.

04:21They should get rid of the, frankly, the people that make the decisions.

04:25I think they're doing a terrible job of this.

04:29They have botched this thing.

04:31There isn't one person that hasn't been complaining about it.

04:34Even the people that have the automatic bids, they're all complaining about their buy or

04:40where they're playing or when they're playing.

04:43These guys in the Crack Crab and Lobster Committee, I think, have done a terrible job of butchering

04:49this thing already with the Alabama decision, which is so fixed, it's not even funny.

04:55So for my money, those same people should be replaced.

05:00Why don't we get some people in there that are fair to Midland, that are neutral, and

05:05that aren't biased?

05:07Like look at these people that are on this committee.

05:09They're all like these powerful people from the SEC and the Big Ten making the decisions.

05:15Why don't they bring in people that are completely oblivious to any of that, that just love football?

05:21I mean, I'd even have, you know, I'd have respect if it was some sort of semblance of

05:28people from the media that matter, that know their college football.

05:33Like are you telling me that Jerry Palm couldn't do a better job than these losers that they

05:39have doing it now?

05:41These old men, losers that are completely biased and on the take and fixed?

05:45I guarantee you think politicians are bad, accepting bribes and taking money since the

05:51beginning of time?

05:52What do you think these guys are doing?

05:55I mean, this guy, these guys, Manuel, the rest of them, they remind me of Bob Melendez,

06:00Gold Bar Bob.

06:02These are the guys making the decisions in college football.

06:05The whole thing's corrupt.

06:08And then let's not call them out.

06:10They're corrupt.

06:11They are dirty.

06:12I don't care what anybody says.

06:14Like just the fact that they are doing this and I look, I could give a rat's ass Miami.

06:20I even said earlier this week, they don't deserve to be in it.

06:23But when I saw Alabama jumped down with three losses and the two losses they had at Vandy

06:27and Oklahoma over the two, five and four point losses that Miami had, that's all I need to

06:33know that it's corrupt.

06:35Here it is.

06:36I know you've been waiting for it.

06:37This is him explaining why Alabama is ahead of Miami and in that last spot instead of

06:43them.

06:44This is from ESPN last night.

06:45What it came down to is that we evaluated both teams and looked at how they rank.

06:51Obviously we think highly of both teams, one's at 11, one's at 12, but what it really came

06:55down to is Alabama is three and one against current top 25 teams and Miami is all in one.

07:04Alabama is six and one against teams above 500 and Miami's four and two.

07:10Both have had some losses that weren't what they wanted out of those games.

07:17But in the last three games, Miami has lost two twice.

07:23And so for us, in evaluating their body of work, we felt that Alabama got the edge over

07:30Miami.

07:31Well the body of work is complete for Alabama, for Miami, for Ole Miss, for South Carolina.

07:36There's one more ranking to do.

07:38Well where's Reese?

07:39What could change?

07:42Yes, it could change.

07:45It all depends on the outcome of these games.

08:12At the end of the day, Cam Ward was a Heisman finalist.

08:16The Miami offense is awesome.

08:19Alabama can lose by 21 at Oklahoma, but they don't even evaluate that at all.

08:24It's like a bad day that didn't count.

08:25It's like saying yesterday didn't happen.

08:28Monday and Tuesday didn't count because Wednesday was so beautiful.

08:33It's just the most ridiculous reasoning I've ever listened to.

08:36And then at the end of the day, the five-time national champs get just shafted because they

08:42lost by five and lost by four to really good teams and really good quarterbacks.

08:47I evaluate things based on losses, not on wins.

08:52Like I even said, they barely beat Cal, they came back from 35 down, so they don't deserve

08:57anything.

08:58I told you they didn't deserve to be in the playoff.

09:02It's who they put in instead.

09:03They put in everyone's favorite puppy, the cute little adorable Alabama Crimson Tide,

09:08no matter what.

09:09Honest to Christ, they could effing lose seven games and they would still be in this goddamn

09:14playoff.

09:15And you know it.

09:16They would still be in the playoff if they lost seven games.

09:20They'd find a way to get them in.

09:21They'd find a way.
