While many spent Christmas celebrating with family, police were responding to a spate of break-ins
and thefts across the country. Several incidents, reported hours apart are now under active investigation.

00:00Police in the St. Joseph District are investigating a larceny after a man reported that his vehicle was broken into on Christmas night in Curap.
00:09The victim told officers he had parked and secured his black Honda CRV in a parking lot along the western side of Passage, Curap, around 10.20 p.m. on Christmas Day,
00:20when a suspect smashed a window and stole two bags containing a total of $50,000 in cash, along with equipment valued at $5,000.
00:31The suspect was seen fleeing west.
00:34In a separate incident, police are probing a store breaking at Massey's Store St. Augustine.
00:40The supermarket was reportedly locked and secured around 7.15 on Christmas Eve.
00:44Security footage alerted staff to suspicious activity just before 4 a.m. on Boxing Day.
00:51Checks revealed a damaged glass panel and two cases of alcoholic beverages missing.
00:57The stolen items are valued at approximately $500.
01:02Meanwhile in Baruga, police are investigating a pavilion breaking and larceny at an MP fuel station in St. Mary's Village.
01:09The business was secured on Christmas evening, but early Boxing Day, staff discovered the premises ransacked.
01:17A safe containing cash along with NLCB scratch cards was reported stolen.
01:23Investigators say entry was gained by removing an extractive fan on the eastern side of the building.
01:29Crime scene officers processed the area, recovered workable prints and are awaiting CCTV footage.
01:36Police inquiries into all three incidents are continuing.
