Transcript
00:00A residential camp was held in Coover, bringing in players from the Secondary Schools League
00:05plus those from England and USA.
00:08They were being monitored by TNT Under-17 head coach Randolph Boyce.
00:12We have reached out and we have got an overwhelming response from people abroad that wanted to
00:18come and represent the country.
00:21The camp was well represented, I mean the pain in the work, there was a lot of them and
00:27we see how it goes.
00:29Regarding the players, coach Boyce had to focus on the technical, tactical, physical and
00:34psychological aspects to assess if they understood their roles.
00:39And what about the talent?
00:40We have a wealth of talent, we're excited about the talent that come together, right?
00:47You wouldn't get everything that you want, first and foremost, but what they display, it
00:52shows that we have a good thing going in terms of talent, resources, to be able to represent
00:58our country well and we hope that they can now work together properly, organize as a
01:04unit, as a team together.
01:0642 players attended the camp at which they went through certain drills as though it was
01:11part of an exam.
01:13The exercise was important to decide who makes the cut moving forward.
01:16The practice game and things was like the little exam, to see who could now make the level in
01:22terms of what we're looking for.
01:23Now we'd have to meet the staff and evaluate, you know, who ticked the boxes that we were
01:31looking for and then we would see who would be able to go forward based on that.
01:35According to reports, the qualifiers in Trinidad run from February 3rd to the 12th, with Team
01:41TNT playing their matches at the Haisley Crawford Stadium.
01:45Vinod Nawani, Team 6 Sport.
