Akhmat special forces commander Major General Apti Alaudinov has issued a stark and controversial warning, claiming Russia’s greatest existential threat does not come from NATO’s military power, but from internal subversion allegedly cultivated by the West over decades. Speaking about national security and unity, Alaudinov argued that Russia is impossible to defeat through conventional warfare due to its vast resources, nuclear deterrence, and modern weapons systems.

According to Alaudinov, Western adversaries have instead focused on building internal networks inside Russia over the past 30 years, designed to destabilize the country from within at a critical moment. He described this as a deliberate long-term strategy aimed at provoking internal collapse rather than direct military confrontation.

The Akhmat commander stressed that Russia’s survival depends on unity across ethnic, religious, and regional lines, warning that slogans promoting exclusivity or division only serve the interests of Russia’s enemies. Drawing on his experience commanding a multi-ethnic force made up of Chechens, Russians, Central Asians, and soldiers from across the post-Soviet space, Alaudinov said the front line proves that national unity is essential for resilience.

He also framed Russia’s internal vulnerability within a broader geopolitical context, pointing to the country’s vast landmass and immense natural resources, including a significant share of the world’s fresh water. Alaudinov suggested that these riches make Russia a permanent target for external powers seeking to weaken or fragment it through internal discord.

The remarks reflect a growing emphasis within Russian security discourse on internal threats, ideological cohesion, and total mobilization. Analysts say such statements also serve to rally nationalist sentiment, discredit dissent, and justify tougher internal security measures as Russia continues to face pressure from the West amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

00:00Major General Abdi Aladonov, commander of Russia's elite Ahmad Special Forces unit,
00:13delivered a stark warning.
00:15Russia's true existential threat comes not from NATO military superiority,
00:20but from Western-orchestrated internal subversion networks
00:24embedded throughout Russian society.
00:27Aladonov stated,
00:27The enemy is well aware that it is physically impossible to defeat Russia with weapons.
00:34Even taking into account the fact that we are resisting such a block as NATO,
00:38our country's resource is truly great.
00:40Moreover, we have nuclear weapons,
00:43and the most modern means of their delivery to targets.
00:46For this reason, Russia's external opponents are trying to blow up the country from within.
00:52Aladonov's most explosive claim.
00:54Over the past 30 years, entire networks of people have been created in Russia,
00:59which were supposed to provoke this internal explosion at a critical moment.
01:03The commander framed this as a deliberate Western strategy,
01:07recognising military defeat is impossible against Russian nuclear power.
01:12So adversaries instead cultivate sleeper networks of saboteurs, dissidents, and collaborators
01:18positioned to destabilise the state during periods of crisis.
01:22Aladonov's statement reflects official Russian security doctrine,
01:26increasingly focusing on internal threats rather than external military ones.
01:32Aladonov positioned his warning within a broader ideological framework.
01:36Russia's defense requires abandoning ethnic, religious, and regional divisions
01:41in favour of unified Russian identity, transcending ethno-nationalism.
01:46He declared,
01:47Let those people who say that Russia is only for Russians come and say this to the guys on the front line,
01:54standing shoulder to shoulder and dying for each other.
01:57We must realise that we are at the crossroads of times.
02:01This historical moment requires us to unite regardless of religion, nationality, or skin colour.
02:06Therefore, only Russia's enemies can put forward such slogans.
02:09Aladonov emphasised that Russia's AKMAT Special Forces Unit,
02:15comprised of Chechens, Russians, Central Asians, and soldiers from post-Soviet republics,
02:21demonstrates the necessity of multi-ethnic unity for national survival.
02:27Aladonov grounded his subversion warning in geostrategic vulnerability.
02:31He noted,
02:32We live on one-sixth of the Earth.
02:35There are only 148 million of us.
02:37At the same time, Russia has 40% of the world's fresh water and huge reserves of other resources.
02:45However, all this is being tried to be taken away from us.
02:49Imagine what would happen if we, Russians, quarrelled with each other and started fighting among ourselves.
02:55This statement encodes a strategic narrative.
02:58Russia's enormous natural resource wealth makes it perpetually targeted for dismemberment by Western powers.
03:04Alladonov's statement represents an escalation in official Russian threat perception,
03:11from external military deterrence to internal security mobilisation.
03:16The commander's warnings thus serve multiple purposes.
03:20Rallying nationalist sentiment, delegitimising opposition,
03:24justifying further repression,
03:26and preparing domestic society for total mobilisation against internal enemies of the state.
03:32The attack claimed to be one-sixth of Israel in Israel in Israel in Israel.
03:36It's really addressed to the government's
03:50The guard has created in Israel in Israel
03:52The battle has created in Israel
03:54to criticize miles in Israel
