00:00:16We got the guy, Brian Baldinger, stopping by to talk some NFL preview of the week,
00:00:22and that will be in Megan Making Money's Money Corner.
00:00:25She swept last week, makes more money this week,
00:00:28and guys, it all starts now on FS1.
00:00:54What's happening?

00:01:00T-Bomb Hebert, Mike Kadick, Dana Beers, and Megan Making Money.
00:01:06Sweat in the money corner last week, guys, sweat.
00:01:10So lock it in and pay attention, because it's Christmas,
00:01:14and you know, gamble responsibly and everything.
00:01:16But you know what would be nice?
00:01:17What if you had a good weekend and you could buy an extra present or two?
00:01:20Christmas Trio.
00:01:21Megan going to put you on some game this morning.
00:01:23Guys, is this your first time in the beautiful new Christmas studios?
00:01:28Live in and Lisa made it?
00:01:29Oh, look at that!
00:01:30You still killed it, bro.
00:01:30You got a stocking.
00:01:31Yeah, you got a stocking.
00:01:32You got your pets.
00:01:33Pretty cool, man.
00:01:35Mikey, you got the Steelers.
00:01:36Yep.
00:01:37I got the Saints.
00:01:37I think I would have preferred LSU maybe right now.
00:01:39That's beautiful.
00:01:41Isn't it nice?
00:01:41Yeah, Live in and Lisa killed it.
00:01:42Lisa kills it.
00:01:43I love Christmas.
00:01:44Who's your alum?
00:01:45I do, too.
00:01:46I mean, look, we got the red and green logos, guys.
00:01:48The red and green lights.
00:01:50It is, the vibes are incredible.
00:01:51Shout out Christmas, man.
00:01:52Shout out Christmas.
00:01:53Christmas rocks.
00:01:55It does, man.
00:01:56Shout out the holidays.
00:01:58Look, guys, if you want to ask us any Christmas questions,
00:02:01tweet with the hashtag AskWub,
00:02:04and you can ask anything,
00:02:05and we'll get to them at the end of the show today.
00:02:08First off, guys, let's talk a little Thursday night football.
00:02:12Last night, a lot of flags.
00:02:15Yes, yes.
00:02:17The Atlanta Falcons somehow overcome a franchise record 19 penalties
00:02:24to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
00:02:29I think the most obvious angle here is this is the continued collapse
00:02:34of a Bucs team that we were very high on early on.
00:02:39Baker Mayfield was the MVP frontrunner.
00:02:42There wasn't a more fun team to watch.
00:02:43They were winning every game with these last-second drives.
00:02:46Well, now the math gods are coming for them,
00:02:48and the complete opposite is taking place.
00:02:50But before we get there, guys, the Kyle Pitts game.
00:02:55Woo!
00:02:55It finally happened.
00:02:56I mean, what a game for that guy.
00:02:58It finally happened, dude.
00:03:00Kyle Pitts, he's been banging the KP drum forever.
00:03:03Over, what was it, 11 catches, over 150 yards, three touchdowns.
00:03:08He had three?
00:03:09Three.
00:03:10Became the first tight end since Shannon Sharp in 1996
00:03:14to have three touchdowns and 150 receiving yards in a game.
00:03:17You love to see it.
00:03:18Kyle Pitts?
00:03:19You love to see it, man.
00:03:20And he's in his free age.
00:03:21He's in his contract year, so.
00:03:23He probably made a lot of money from that.
00:03:24I feel like we've just been waiting for this for years.
00:03:27Yeah, for the entire rookie contract.
00:03:29He's so athletic and so, like, skilled,
00:03:31and you're just waiting for this big game to happen,
00:03:33and good for him.
00:03:35Yeah.
00:03:35Good for him.
00:03:35That's what I was going to say.
00:03:36I'm pretty sure that was Jerry's signs for the week.
00:03:39Yeah.
00:03:39It was a Kyle Pitts anytime touchdown.
00:03:41And I think he was, like, 0 and 12.
00:03:43And he was, like, this one I actually hate.
00:03:46Like, this one's not going to hit because I hate it so much
00:03:48or vice versa.
00:03:49And then, I mean, three touchdowns.
00:03:51Yeah.
00:03:51Well, and to Dana's point, it's like there's been so many weekends
00:03:57where you just don't think about Kyle Pitts,
00:03:59so you don't look at Kyle Pitts.
00:04:00And then you see him make a play, and you're like, oh, wait,
00:04:02this guy's an Adonis.
00:04:05Yeah.
00:04:05He looks like a god amongst men.
00:04:07Like, those are NFL players out there,
00:04:09and he looks significantly bigger, stronger, and faster
00:04:12than the other most elite athletes in the world
00:04:15that are on that field.
00:04:17I think there's also some interesting conversation
00:04:19to be had about Kirk Cousins.
00:04:20Oh, yeah.
00:04:21That's what I was going to say.
00:04:22I mean, what's the deal there, Dana?
00:04:25Is there a question that we could have been asking all season
00:04:29should he have just been playing a little bit more over Pennix
00:04:31because Pennix just didn't look good this year.
00:04:34And I'm a Michael Pennix guy.
00:04:35You are as well, of course.
00:04:37You played with the guy.
00:04:38But, man, Kirky, he looked fire last night.
00:04:42He did.
00:04:42And I feel like he's the guy that needs a little bit of consistency
00:04:46and actually to be able to show up and play every week
00:04:50instead of being this guy that's coming in because of an injury.
00:04:54Kirky can ball still.
00:04:56Yeah.
00:04:56He's throwing dimes.
00:04:57And the big thing with him last year was his arm strength
00:05:00was leaving him in games.
00:05:02But last night, that was not a question whatsoever.
00:05:05No.
00:05:06He was throwing dimes.
00:05:07Yeah.
00:05:08Apparently, Kirko Cousins is just a Bucs killer.
00:05:10In his time in Atlanta, he's now 3-0 against them
00:05:14with 1,100 yards, 11 touchdowns, 1-0.
00:05:17Just dominates Tampa for whatever reason.
00:05:20Now, from the – and look, yes, like, if you're an Atlanta fan,
00:05:24there's a lot of conversation about mismanagement.
00:05:27Is this actually worse for Raheem Morris because you're like,
00:05:30what the hell have we been doing all year to Dana's point?
00:05:32Why weren't we playing Kirk Cousins?
00:05:33We're paying him $100 million.
00:05:35It's a bizarre situation.
00:05:37Very.
00:05:37Very bizarre.
00:05:38Top to bottom.
00:05:39And they have these just elite weapons.
00:05:40I mean, P. John Robinson and Kyle Fitz, probably two of them more –
00:05:43I mean, Drake London, like, some more exciting skill players
00:05:45in the entire NFL.
00:05:46You have a good young defense.
00:05:47Why is it all so bad in Atlanta?
00:05:49But the bigger story from a national standpoint is likely,
00:05:53why is it all so bad in Tampa Bay?
00:05:55Yeah.
00:05:56Right.
00:05:56Like we said, early on in this season,
00:05:58there was not a better fourth-quarter team,
00:06:00a better fourth-quarter quarterback than Baker Mayfield and the Bucs.
00:06:03And yet, last night, they take a 14-point lead
00:06:05right at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
00:06:08And it's Baker's very mistakes that end up setting the table.
00:06:11For the Falcons did not just score twice,
00:06:13but remember, they missed two-point conversion.
00:06:15Yep.
00:06:15So they had to stop Atlanta again,
00:06:17get the ball back to then kick the game-winning field goal.
00:06:21Yeah.
00:06:21I mean, just a complete and utter collapse.
00:06:25And now, you have a Bucs team that has lost 5-6.
00:06:29They're 7-7.
00:06:29Who do the Panthers play?
00:06:31They play your Saints.
00:06:33Oh, yeah.
00:06:33Well, I mean, you know, bad news for them,
00:06:35because Tyler's shot!
00:06:37Uh-oh.
00:06:38But no, I mean, look, the Bucs, sorry, Che,
00:06:42it's all in danger of collapsing around them.
00:06:44It's insane.
00:06:45Like, if, with the team that they believe that they had injuries or not,
00:06:52look at that, look at the Panthers, man.
00:06:52In the division that they are in, that's what I'm saying.
00:06:56It is, uh...
00:06:57Look at the NFC.
00:06:59It is inexcusable for Tampa to lose the NFC,
00:07:03or maybe not inexcusable, because shout-out to the Panthers,
00:07:05they're doing what they need to do.
00:07:06What am I trying to say here?
00:07:07I don't know.
00:07:08I'm trying to say that, if I'm a Bucs fan,
00:07:11this is one of the harder seasons, narrative turns to swallow
00:07:17in terms of, like, there's no way we should have lost the division.
00:07:20No.
00:07:20The play, we've won it so many years in a row,
00:07:22that should have been locked up.
00:07:23The question mark should have been,
00:07:25how far will we go in the playoffs?
00:07:27And yet, now, you may be sitting home,
00:07:29watching with the likes of the Falcons, the Saints,
00:07:33and all these teams that you just thought you were clearly better than.
00:07:35Look, they've got to play twice in the final two weeks.
00:07:37This tells me that Drake May killed them.
00:07:40Look at that.
00:07:41Yeah.
00:07:42Ever since Drake May came to town, they have been struggling.
00:07:46Aren't you Patriots fans just so lucky?
00:07:49In all seriousness, how are the Panthers, what?
00:07:56Like, how are they in this position?
00:07:58Good for them, but, like, they're not good.
00:08:00Yeah, I mean, look, Rico Dattles had some really big games.
00:08:04Bryce Young is up and down.
00:08:09But I would say this season there's more good than bad.
00:08:12I read a pretty crazy stat.
00:08:14He was either the quick, I can look it up.
00:08:17It's buried somewhere in my notes from the last couple of weeks.
00:08:20But he's either the quickest 2-11 comeback wins or fourth quarter wins.
00:08:26He's, like, right there with Peyton Manning.
00:08:27Like, Bryce Young's okay.
00:08:28He's okay.
00:08:29He's probably better than we think.
00:08:31Good for the Panthers.
00:08:32It's a feel-good story.
00:08:33Somebody else needs to win the NFC South.
00:08:35We'll see if they can get it done.
00:08:36Again, going to play the Bucs twice in the final three weeks.
00:08:38You mentioned the Patriots.
00:08:41Massive one.
00:08:41Oh, boy.
00:08:42Coming up for the Pats this week.
00:08:44And Pats-Bills part two.
00:08:45Of course, the Patriots, the only big win to speak of now, as the Bucs win is not exactly appreciated in value,
00:08:52is them going into Buffalo earlier this year.
00:08:54Here's the crazy thing about New England that I cannot shake.
00:08:57It's in a year where you all somehow, like, the Titans decide to fire Vrabel.
00:09:02You somehow get him.
00:09:04You're bad enough where you hit on another quarterback in a top-five pick, which is always hard to do and sketchy.
00:09:09All these elements that kind of, it all came together for you to get these elements, they all come online.
00:09:15And the same time they come online, Patrick Mahomes is probably going to miss the playoffs.
00:09:20There's a very good chance of Lamar Jackson will miss the playoffs.
00:09:23Everything's coming up New England, Dana.
00:09:25It's beautiful to see, man.
00:09:26It's not.
00:09:27This guy's playing like a, he's playing like a 10-year vet at this point.
00:09:31And I'm just so happy.
00:09:33And I don't deserve this.
00:09:35I just want to be clear.
00:09:36I'm not one of those Patriots fans who sits here and says, oh, we stunk for five years.
00:09:41Poor us.
00:09:42I'm one of those Patriots fans who's realistic and said, we had it made for 20 years.
00:09:46We had an amazing, amazing run, and this is not fair.
00:09:49But, again, I've sat in this seat many times.
00:09:54I've said, let's all slow down.
00:09:56Let's see what happens with these tough schedules, the tough part of the schedule coming up.
00:10:01And let's see what happens in the playoffs.
00:10:02Before we start going crazy and saying we are the best team of all time, like, let's just see what happens.
00:10:09And I was wrong when I said that six weeks ago.
00:10:13I was like, let's slow down.
00:10:14Let's see what happens.
00:10:15I don't know how they're going to be against the Bucs and against the Ravens and against the Bills.
00:10:21And it turns out they just keep winning.
00:10:23So these next couple games are going to be tough.
00:10:25But, man, it's so fun to watch.
00:10:27I love Rames.
00:10:28I love Diggs.
00:10:30I love them all.
00:10:32To me, the narratives hanging on this Bills game are absolutely massive, right?
00:10:40For the Buffalo Bills, this represents a bit of a golden ticket game.
00:10:44Because right now, Bills fans are on the verge of panicking, thinking they wasted their window of the Patriots being bad
00:10:50because all of a sudden here the Pats are, they're back.
00:10:52Well, you go into New England this time of year when it matters more, you get revenge, you beat them?
00:10:57Okay, it's all good.
00:10:59And then for the Patriots, the entire season, we're all saying, well, have they played anybody?
00:11:04Like, as a joke, we did the NFL playoff committee where we took college criteria and selected teams,
00:11:10and I left the Patriots out because their schedule.
00:11:13This might be 11-2, right?
00:11:15So, like, if the Patriots want to quiet that down, go win this weekend.
00:11:20But if they lose, then all the people that are calling them schedule merchants are just going to get that much louder.
00:11:26So, like, the narrative swing potential in this game is as big as any game in the NFL this weekend.
00:11:34Yes, I've been very, I've been hesitant, like I said, to just, like, call them an elite team.
00:11:40They're winning who is put on their schedule, and that's all you can ask for.
00:11:43Yeah.
00:11:44Don't apologize for it.
00:11:45This is the biggest test, of course, that they've had so far, and we'll see, man.
00:11:50I mean, it's exciting.
00:11:51It's at home.
00:11:52It's going to be nice and cold, but this is just one of those games you strap in, and you just hope for a good one.
00:11:59Dana, do you think we're going to see a potential legacy game out of Drake May?
00:12:03I don't know.
00:12:04Maybe.
00:12:04It's a little early.
00:12:06Early legacy.
00:12:07Early break legacy.
00:12:08But, I mean, if he can beat Joshie at Foxborough, that's a nice win in his pocket.
00:12:14I mean, if Drake May were to two-piece Josh Allen the first year that he comes online.
00:12:20It would be nice.
00:12:21That, I agree with Megan, that's like, that's one of those first kind of foundational breaks in the legacy.
00:12:27It's kind of like Tyler Shuck.
00:12:30It's definitely, like I said, with the-
00:12:32Those two don't belong in that same sentence.
00:12:34No, okay, no, no.
00:12:36I legit-
00:12:36All respect to Tyler Shuck.
00:12:38Ever since I watched the Tyler Shuck propaganda video that went viral a couple of weeks ago, he looks like Drake May to me.
00:12:44Like how he moves.
00:12:46He's the next Drake May.
00:12:47Except he's like 29 years old.
00:12:49It doesn't matter.
00:12:50It doesn't matter.
00:12:50He's still the next Drake May.
00:12:52Get out of here.
00:12:52Our cousins are showing us age is nothing but a number.
00:12:54Yeah, dude, we got Phillip Rivers about to start, dude.
00:12:56Maybe.
00:12:57Hey, okay, another great game this week.
00:12:59Guys, potential Super Bowl preview.
00:13:01Packers-Broncos.
00:13:04Obviously, the Packers, a team that, it's odd that they can be so great.
00:13:09I believe they're now the one seed in the NFC after beating the Bears last week.
00:13:14But they've kind of done it quietly.
00:13:17Yeah.
00:13:17Gone about their business.
00:13:19The Broncos, they're a team that's a bit odd as well in that they don't blow teams out.
00:13:25They're not like Seattle.
00:13:26But they just consistently find ways to win.
00:13:28They have an elite defense.
00:13:30And Bo Nix has a little Elway in him where he sucks for three quarters and turns it on in the fourth.
00:13:35Yeah.
00:13:36Listen, man.
00:13:37This is similar to the Patriots where it's like you see the Broncos winning all these games.
00:13:43But for some reason, you still have a little doubt just because, you know, it's this young quarterback.
00:13:47And you don't know really who they beat.
00:13:51But they keep winning.
00:13:52And they just keep getting these, you know, tough, hard wins.
00:13:55And their defense is amazing.
00:13:57So, it's like until they give you a real reason to doubt them, like, why are we doubting them so much?
00:14:02I think it's because, like, because, I mean, your point stands.
00:14:05What wins championships, defense or quarterback?
00:14:10Defense.
00:14:11Okay.
00:14:11Defense wins championships.
00:14:1455 sacks is a lot of sacks.
00:14:16No, I know.
00:14:17They're incredible.
00:14:17And I guess, okay, like, look, I think there's a few playoff teams that are in the Broncos' defensive tier.
00:14:25The Seahawks would be one of them.
00:14:27Definitely the Texans with those pass rushers.
00:14:30And then it's probably the Broncos.
00:14:32Yeah.
00:14:32So, then you look at those teams and say, okay, who has the quarterback that you trust the most?
00:14:36And that becomes interesting.
00:14:37I'm actually not sure.
00:14:39I mean, I would think Sam Darnold.
00:14:41Sam Darnold, dude.
00:14:41But then the playoffs last year, people are always going to point to you, but really that's almost more of a Sam Darnold L.A. problem that he has specifically.
00:14:50But have we seen Bo Nix in the playoff pressure?
00:14:53No, no, no.
00:14:54You know, I mean, you know what product you're getting with Dan Darnold, and I don't know.
00:15:00You just don't know what the pressure will be like on Bo Nix.
00:15:04Answer me this, Mikey.
00:15:05If I was to pose Dana's question to you, right, why don't we believe in the Broncos that much?
00:15:08Why do you think?
00:15:09Like, haven't been there in a while.
00:15:12That's fair.
00:15:13Yeah.
00:15:13Sean Payton's been there, but that's fair.
00:15:15I also think Bo Nix, like, I don't want to say he was kind of a joke forever, but, like, no one really respected him for a large period of time.
00:15:23You never knew what you were going to get out of him, like, coming out of college.
00:15:26So, it's just like, maybe that's our hesitancy to go full in on the Broncos is just still because it's Bo Nix at the end of the day.
00:15:33Yeah.
00:15:33I think it's that, and I think it's the fact that they've won a lot of one-score games.
00:15:37But, again, we'll see.
00:15:38This, look, this is a great opportunity for them to shut us up.
00:15:42And, on the flip side, a lot of teams in the NFC hoping that the Packers will fall.
00:15:47All right.
00:15:47Coming up next, guys, it's time to relive last week's Big Ten Championship.
00:15:52We got the K-Nix Crawlers who are going to break down some of the biggest plays from Indiana, Ohio State.
00:15:57Don't go away to our beautiful Chicago.
00:16:00Mark, wake up, barstool.
00:16:02Coming up next, Starling B.
00:16:05What's happening, guys?
00:16:10Welcome back to Wake Up Barstool right here on FS1.
00:16:13How about it?
00:16:14Mikey Kadick.
00:16:16Big Ten champion.
00:16:17What you are looking at right here is a Big Ten champion.
00:16:20Not me.
00:16:21Not me.
00:16:21Indiana Houston.
00:16:22Yes, my team, but not me.
00:16:24Yeah, so?
00:16:24Hoo, hoo, hoo.
00:16:26Look, we are a office of fans.
00:16:31Yes.
00:16:31Of fans.
00:16:32And when our team wins, we win.
00:16:34Okay.
00:16:35So, own it.
00:16:36Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo.
00:16:37Yes.
00:16:38All right.
00:16:39So, before we get into the Crawler Corner, because we've got some film to break down from the game,
00:16:43we're going to go over some of the biggest plays of the night.
00:16:46Before that, how about this?
00:16:48Oh, people were not happy about this.
00:16:51So, uh.
00:16:52This was during their alma mater, which was kind of screwed up.
00:16:56But.
00:16:57The pan over to the alma mater.
00:17:00But may I add here, every year we played at their stadium, right?
00:17:05Yeah.
00:17:05We would walk off, phone in my face.
00:17:08I'm not going to say what they say to me.
00:17:11Throwing shit at us.
00:17:12F you.
00:17:14You.
00:17:14Oh, no.
00:17:18Oh, no.
00:17:19Hey, between cheese and Indianapolis, it's going to happen.
00:17:22It's going to happen.
00:17:23You get passionate.
00:17:24You got to love something.
00:17:25Yeah.
00:17:26Yeah, they weren't happy about this.
00:17:27But.
00:17:28They said, oh, win with class.
00:17:29Win with class.
00:17:30It's the same fans telling me to win with class as they're recording me saying insane stuff.
00:17:36Yeah.
00:17:37Me as I'm walking off their field.
00:17:38So, they can all kick it, man.
00:17:40No, man.
00:17:40Win with class overrated.
00:17:42Just win, baby.
00:17:43And then celebrate.
00:17:43It looks like you're being nice.
00:17:45It looks like you're saying sorry to me.
00:17:47Yeah.
00:17:47Yeah.
00:17:48I don't realize how close I was.
00:17:49Look.
00:17:50You're like, oh, good game, guys.
00:17:51Yeah.
00:17:52Oh, sorry.
00:17:52Look.
00:17:53I hope you're going home safely.
00:17:54Yeah.
00:17:55Get home.
00:17:55I love that video.
00:17:58K-Nick, you deserve to talk all the smack in the world.
00:18:01I agree.
00:18:02Like, it's like, we come from a place where we play neck.
00:18:05Yeah, that's right, baby.
00:18:06That's not very respectful.
00:18:07Guess what?
00:18:08You deserve to talk your smack to everyone.
00:18:11Shout out to Indy.
00:18:12I will.
00:18:12To the victor goes the spoils.
00:18:14Yes.
00:18:15And here we have an Indiana Hoosier team that has, in some ways, completed the most incredible
00:18:22sports journey that we've ever seen.
00:18:24I mean, Kurt Cignetti could almost quite, well, I would say this.
00:18:27Kurt Cignetti could be considered the single greatest college football hire in the sports
00:18:34history.
00:18:34Here you have an Indiana team that was the losingest franchise in college football history
00:18:40with over 100 years of a sample size, guys.
00:18:44Cignetti shows up, and now in two years, he has lost two games to the teams that would
00:18:51play for the national championship, and he has now avenged the loss against one of those
00:18:57teams in the Big Ten championship when they were in their prohibited favorite.
00:19:00It's actually insane.
00:19:02And look, you see it right here, guys.
00:19:05The Heisman odds.
00:19:06A very funny moment from Gus Johnson at the end of the game, where, as the broadcast is
00:19:11about to go dark, he goes, and how about now?
00:19:14Give him the Heisman.
00:19:15Kind of a reference when he made the Heisman call.
00:19:18Remember, Gus did in that Penn State game.
00:19:21And a lot of people clowned him, said it's too early.
00:19:23Doesn't look like it's too early anymore.
00:19:25Remember, Fernando Mendoza, minus 1,800 to take home the award.
00:19:29Me and Rick went down to Bloomington on Wednesday, hanging out with Fernando, shooting a video.
00:19:35Just, I mean, he knows the Heisman's coming up, but he's, like, focused on the boys, man.
00:19:41I got in late, but I got still 25-1 on Heisman.
00:19:44Oh, no way.
00:19:46It's fantastic.
00:19:47The only Heisman's vote I made was Jake Malisek got me to bet on Chandler Morris.
00:19:53That was pretty dumb.
00:19:53Oh, God.
00:19:54Rule number one about working here, never listen to Jake Malisek when it comes to anything football.
00:19:59Sorry, Megan.
00:20:00Oh, you're fine, baby.
00:20:00Do you have any Heisman winners when you were playing at LSU?
00:20:03No.
00:20:04No, no.
00:20:04I know LSU now seems like a school that produces Heisman.
00:20:07Yeah.
00:20:07I was just wondering.
00:20:08No, Billy Cannon was the only one in the 50s for, like, forever, for the entire, until Joe Burrow.
00:20:14Sick name.
00:20:15Great name.
00:20:16Sick name.
00:20:17And, look, I personally think Diego would be my vote, but I have no problem.
00:20:25I have no problem with Ndoza winning.
00:20:26He's a very deserving winner.
00:20:27Also, his post-game interview, I will continue to champion and continue to celebrate because the sincerity shown,
00:20:35the genuine emotion and joy, is far too rare in this uber-cynical age in which we live.
00:20:42Dana, any questions?
00:20:44I want you to pancake me soon.
00:20:47We can do that.
00:20:48Oh, hell yeah, dude.
00:20:49Can I watch?
00:20:50That's not a question, but...
00:20:51Can I watch?
00:20:52I want a field, and I want to go at you.
00:20:55Oh, okay.
00:20:57I want an open field, and I want to run at you with a spin move.
00:21:01Okay.
00:21:01And I don't know if you will pancake me.
00:21:03Can we do a run block as well?
00:21:04Absolutely.
00:21:05Okay.
00:21:05Yes.
00:21:06Because you like to get really high.
00:21:07I wouldn't hate putting a helmet on.
00:21:10All right.
00:21:11Are you craving contact?
00:21:13I'm craving contact.
00:21:14We can get into something on Saturday night.
00:21:15No, no.
00:21:16The producers aren't wanting to do it in here right now.
00:21:18No, guys.
00:21:18Saturday night, though.
00:21:19There's too many sharp corners, I think, in here to do this right now.
00:21:23But, well, sounds like we've got a soft booth.
00:21:27Should I do it?
00:21:28Should we?
00:21:28No, no, no, no, no.
00:21:29The mom in me is looking at all.
00:21:30I've counted 15 corners.
00:21:32That was my first FCC violation.
00:21:35That was my first FCC violation.
00:21:39Welcome to the club, bud.
00:21:40All right, guys.
00:21:41Oh, crud.
00:21:42More wake-up bars.
00:21:43So we got smash or pass and plenty more shades coming out here on FS1.
00:21:48Here we go.
00:21:52Let's see.
00:21:59And big fat people sing.
00:22:02And big fat people sing.
00:22:05What's happening, guys?
00:22:06Welcome back to Wig of Barshal here on FS1.
00:22:08All right.
00:22:09Are those words?
00:22:11No.
00:22:11No.
00:22:12No.
00:22:12No.
00:22:13No.
00:22:13Not at all.
00:22:14Fat people sing.
00:22:16What do you say?
00:22:17Because you guys both did it.
00:22:18People sing.
00:22:20And big and big fat people sing.
00:22:25Yeah.
00:22:25You fooled me.
00:22:26No, that's the...
00:22:27BBC.
00:22:29BBC.
00:22:29That's the BBC theme.
00:22:31Wednesdays.
00:22:31New episodes dropping Wednesdays at 9 a.m. now.
00:22:34Subscribe to the channel.
00:22:36Please.
00:22:36Greatest pod in the history of the world.
00:22:38It's a very fun pod.
00:22:39This crew is unbelievable.
00:22:40It's a very fun pod.
00:22:41It shocks me every week.
00:22:42It's so much fun.
00:22:43A lot of breast milk talk this last episode.
00:22:48Who did you shout out, Kate?
00:22:50Shout out...
00:22:50Was it Women for Babies?
00:22:52I thought it was shout out Women for Giving Birth.
00:22:54Yeah, yeah.
00:22:55Shout out Women for Giving Birth.
00:22:56In case...
00:22:56You know what?
00:22:57Hell yeah, Kate.
00:22:58Yeah.
00:22:58Hang it behind that.
00:22:59Hell yeah.
00:22:59There you go, Meg.
00:23:00Hell yeah.
00:23:01Shout out.
00:23:01Shout out to you, Meg.
00:23:03Anyway, there was a graphic.
00:23:05And we're going to do Smasher Pass in a minute.
00:23:07But I want to show you all this NIL graphic that I ran across a couple of days ago.
00:23:12This is...
00:23:13And let's be clear.
00:23:14Do not get too married...
00:23:17And can we get this on the big screen for my bad eyes as well, guys?
00:23:19Do not get too married to the uber accuracy of the number.
00:23:26Yeah.
00:23:26These could be off by a couple hundred thousand maybe here or there.
00:23:29But for the most part, they are genuinely correct.
00:23:32These are the top 25 NIL college football earners.
00:23:36You have Arch Manning at the top, six and a half million.
00:23:39Again, proximate value, guys.
00:23:41Carson Beck, number two, 4.2 million.
00:23:44And then you go down the list and see Lagway, Sellers, Nuss, Klubnik, Drew Aller, Nico, Sam Levitt.
00:23:51Tough list.
00:23:51Well, so that's kind of the takeaway here, right?
00:23:56You look at this list and you realize you're kind of getting a questionable return on a lot of these investments.
00:24:06I don't have one Heisman finalist on there at all.
00:24:08I mean, look, like Ole Miss, they've been a very good team this year.
00:24:12They don't have a single player on there.
00:24:15Indiana?
00:24:16Do I see a single Indiana player on there?
00:24:18Is that Caleb Downs?
00:24:20Yeah.
00:24:20I mean, yeah, Caleb Downs, that's probably the best investment there with Ohio State at number three.
00:24:24And July Smith, for sure.
00:24:27Wait, where's Smith?
00:24:28Oh, there's Smith down there.
00:24:28Yeah, I see him.
00:24:30But the point being, if you look at the playoff teams, you don't see a lot of representation here.
00:24:36And so I'll ask you all this, because I think I have a couple takeaways.
00:24:40But, like, what is your takeaway from seeing a chart like this?
00:24:44It's just so rich.
00:24:46So are these kids.
00:24:48So awesome.
00:24:49I mean, my take is Arch Manning doesn't need that much money.
00:24:53Like, he'll be fine.
00:24:54The Mannings are great.
00:24:55I mean, like, great guy, potential great quarterback.
00:24:59But at the moment, $6.5 million spent on a Manning that hasn't proven really anything seems kind of tough.
00:25:07Well, and look, I'll be clear.
00:25:10Like, from the Manning's perspective, yes, he's not playing at 6'5 level.
00:25:13He did play better and better as the year went on.
00:25:15I'm still buying or holding my Manning stock.
00:25:19But obviously—
00:25:19All $6.5 million of it?
00:25:20Well, the thing is, with NIL, though, it's not one-to-one like a football salary cap where the NFL is going to pay you just based on your play, right?
00:25:31Obviously, Arch's number is inflated because of everything you said.
00:25:34He's royalty.
00:25:35Yeah.
00:25:35He's literally a football royalty here in America.
00:25:40Another?
00:25:40Here's my—okay, go ahead, Mike, and then I'll get to mine.
00:25:43Another thing I was going to say was there's not as many transfers on this list as you'd think.
00:25:49Well, I think—
00:25:50A lot of these guys are retaining.
00:25:52Like, obviously, Beck and I don't even know who other—
00:25:56So, I think the reason being is that because these teams went all in to keep—
00:26:04A lot of times, they're quarterbacks.
00:26:06You have a lot of quarterbacks on this.
00:26:07But what they viewed to be, maybe they're the most talented player.
00:26:10But here's my biggest takeaway.
00:26:13Is that when I look at a chart like this, I think you could hypothesize that if I have millions of dollars to spend,
00:26:20instead of going all in on one great player, it might be good to spread that among multiple good players.
00:26:28Spread the love.
00:26:29Yeah.
00:26:30Take $3.5 million that you were going to give to your quarterback.
00:26:32Maybe accept or get a lesser guy at quarterback and then go get you a million-dollar D-tackle.
00:26:40Right.
00:26:40A million-dollar linebacker.
00:26:41A million-dollar guard.
00:26:43And you turn one player into three or four, and maybe your team gets better overall.
00:26:46Again, I know that math gets a little spotty with quarterback, but you see a lot of quarterback-desperate teams.
00:26:52DJ Lagway had to hold on to him.
00:26:54Lenora Sellers had to pay him.
00:26:55Had to hold on to him.
00:26:56Cade Klubnick, Garrett Nussmeyer, Drew Aller, and yet the teams fell apart around him, and it meant nothing.
00:27:03I can give you an example in basketball.
00:27:05The University of Kentucky right now is spending a historical amount on their roster just with NIL and the players they have, and they're not good.
00:27:15Yeah.
00:27:15They're losing games.
00:27:16And it kind of makes you think a little bit, like, is there something here with all this money stuff that might not be the best thing for some of these guys?
00:27:25Maybe they get a little comfortable.
00:27:27I don't know.
00:27:27It's not just in football, but in basketball, too.
00:27:30It's like it really complicates things when there's finances involved and when one guy might be making a lot more than another.
00:27:36Like, there can be jealousy or there can be rifts within the team.
00:27:40And it always brings expectation, and talent evaluation is hard enough to begin with without the added expectation of, oh, you have to be good because we are now paying you this money.
00:27:52So a lot of wasted money on this chart.
00:27:53Do you guys remember anything that you have wasted money on that stands out in your head?
00:27:59I mean, yeah.
00:28:03Every day.
00:28:04Yeah.
00:28:04I mean, I got some NIL money last year, and I just spent it on the boys.
00:28:12Love that.
00:28:12I would just always...
00:28:13That's not wasted.
00:28:14Yeah, no, not at all.
00:28:15I would just, you know, a lot of people, like, buy shoes and cars and stuff like that.
00:28:19I just bought bottles and tables for the boys.
00:28:22Bottles for the boys.
00:28:23You know what I think about quite often is if the dream of mine is to walk into a room one day and see all the stuff that I've lost, you know?
00:28:31Yes.
00:28:32There's probably a lot of that stuff that I've spent a good amount of money on just, like, whether it's clothes or, like, something, I don't know, some technology or whatever.
00:28:42Wait, I actually love this.
00:28:43You somehow magically discover the dream of the room with everything you've lost in your entire life.
00:28:49So sick.
00:28:50I love that, actually.
00:28:51Oh, God.
00:28:51That's like a genie.
00:28:52Have you seen The Labyrinth?
00:28:53Uh, I've never seen Labyrinth, actually.
00:28:56Wow, man.
00:28:56I know.
00:28:56There's a spot where she has, like, all of her missing things.
00:28:59It's like this garbage dump and it's, like, where everything goes.
00:29:02It's just kind of like that.
00:29:03Oh, man, that's a really...
00:29:04Yeah, no, that's a great fantasy concept.
00:29:06Yeah.
00:29:06I'm historically...
00:29:07I'm a historically poor financial individual.
00:29:10Same.
00:29:10So if I had any NIL money, whoo, in college, too, when I was paying for 40-ouncers with nickels...
00:29:18Oh, yeah, it would have been bad.
00:29:19It would have been bad.
00:29:21I don't know.
00:29:22I bought, like, a ton of...
00:29:23I bought...
00:29:24I have a bad habit of buying board games, card games, miniatures that I know I'm never going
00:29:30to have time to play, that I know I'm never going to have time to paint, but I buy them anyway.
00:29:34Also, one time I bought one of those UFC, like, half-humans.
00:29:38Yeah.
00:29:38You know, like, the upper body.
00:29:39Oh, yeah.
00:29:40And I don't think I ever threw a single punch at it.
00:29:43And then I don't know what happened to it.
00:29:45Did you ever see my jersey collection?
00:29:46No, uh-uh.
00:29:47I just buy backup quarterback jerseys.
00:29:50I spend thousands of dollars on that.
00:29:52That's a hobby, though.
00:29:53Thousands of dollars.
00:29:54I love that, dude.
00:29:55Who's your best backup quarterback jersey?
00:29:57I love Rock and Jamarcus Russell.
00:29:59Did you play with him?
00:30:00Oh, hell yeah.
00:30:00J-Rock.
00:30:01No, no, no.
00:30:01He was before my time.
00:30:03I have three Nathan Petermans.
00:30:06Three?
00:30:07Yeah.
00:30:07I mean, J.P. Lawsman.
00:30:09You name it, I probably have it.
00:30:11I'll buy one this weekend.
00:30:12I'll buy a new one this weekend.
00:30:13It's an addiction.
00:30:14How many brown jerseys do you have?
00:30:16I have Derek Anderson.
00:30:18I have Jason Campbell.
00:30:19Oh, my God.
00:30:20Uh, I haven't gotten Johnny Football yet, but that might be up there.
00:30:24Oh, my God.
00:30:25There's a lot.
00:30:26I've lost count.
00:30:27It's a problem.
00:30:28Like, how many legitimately do you think you have?
00:30:30Fifty?
00:30:31What?
00:30:32Wow.
00:30:33I've never been a jersey guy.
00:30:35Let me send it to the producers.
00:30:37Who can I send it?
00:30:38We have got to get a picture of this collection.
00:30:41Megan, what have you wasted money on?
00:30:44It wasn't really me.
00:30:45It was more of my mom's money, but, like, the four years, I mean, the four months I went
00:30:49to college, I mean, a dorm for a year, like, the meal package.
00:30:54Oh, yeah.
00:30:54Yeah, that wasn't needed, but I got where I needed to.
00:30:58What happened?
00:30:59Did you fall into that age-old college trap?
00:31:02Yeah, so I wanted to go elsewhere.
00:31:06My grandparents were like, we're not going to let you use our address for in-state.
00:31:10You're just going to party.
00:31:11We know who your parents are.
00:31:12So I went to a school I didn't even really care about.
00:31:15I was there for four months, and, again, I went for broadcast journalism, and...
00:31:21Hey.
00:31:22Yeah.
00:31:22Look at you now, dude.
00:31:23Broadcast journalism.
00:31:24Here we are.
00:31:25So shout out, Mom, for paying that off.
00:31:27Shout out, Mom, for making money.
00:31:29I, uh, oh, man, I just...
00:31:33I also bought a really expensive bike for my kid.
00:31:35It was, like, a $400 super safety bike.
00:31:37Bikes are sick, though.
00:31:38Never rode it once.
00:31:39I used to shred it.
00:31:40Guardian bike?
00:31:40Yeah, it was when they first came out.
00:31:42I will say this.
00:31:43Guardian bike?
00:31:44My oldest daughter learned to ride a bike in, like, 30 minutes the other day.
00:31:47They're actually pretty sick.
00:31:48That is the hardest thing to do as a parent ever.
00:31:51Potty training's pretty bad.
00:31:52I'm about to have to get the three-year-old in.
00:31:54Man, I just had a good waste of money answer.
00:31:55I don't remember, though.
00:31:56Coming up next, let's make some money in the money corner.
00:31:59Megan McMaster.
00:31:59Fresh off our clean sweep last week.
00:32:02Don't go anywhere more.
00:32:03Wake up.
00:32:04Coming up on FS1.
00:32:12What's happening?
00:32:13Welcome back to Wake Up Barstool.
00:32:15It's time for Megan Makin' Money's Money Corner.
00:32:21Welcome back in.
00:32:22As T-Bob has already alluded, we swept last week, but we're going to have to change gears.
00:32:29Not a lot of college football on, so we're going to go with the NFL.
00:32:31Uh-oh.
00:32:32First pick, we're going to stay here in the Windy City.
00:32:35And I'm going to take Caleb Williams over 200-plus passing yards.
00:32:38That was plus 109.
00:32:40Bears are off of a loss, playing at home.
00:32:42Yes, the Browns' defense can be stingy.
00:32:44Miles Garrett is always scary.
00:32:46However, it's not like quarterbacks aren't putting up big numbers.
00:32:49For example, last five games, Geno, Rodgers, and Drake May were all able to throw over 200.
00:32:54And while Caleb has not surpassed this number in two games, he's very capable as he's hit
00:32:58this prop in four out of his last seven.
00:33:01There you go.
00:33:01So, that's the first one.
00:33:02Second one, you guys have already seen teasers whenever Big T is here.
00:33:06We're going to go with a teaser.
00:33:08And we're going to tease the Patriots to plus 7.5 along with the Bengals.
00:33:11Plus 8.5.
00:33:12We already alluded that the Patriots, Drake May, a potential legacy game.
00:33:16I think they stay at least within plus 7.5.
00:33:18And obviously with the Bengals, Joe Burrow, he's expressed his sadness.
00:33:21Sad.
00:33:22He's expressed his sadness.
00:33:23His sadness, but part of being sad is not being able to play and winning games.
00:33:28So, I think he's still going to go out there.
00:33:30He has winning in his DNA.
00:33:31I think they're able to cover the 8.5.
00:33:33Up next, this is one that I'm kind of calling my shot on.
00:33:37We're going to go to the Raiders-Eagles game.
00:33:39And I'm going to go the team total under 7.5 for the Raiders.
00:33:43It's plus 260.
00:33:46The Eagles need a humongous get-right game at home in the city of brotherly love.
00:33:51I think they're going to have a defensive shutout here.
00:33:55And the Raiders, under 7.5, plus 260.
00:34:00Let's see.
00:34:01I also like the Chargers.
00:34:03Don't really need to say much on that.
00:34:04I just think they're the better team right now.
00:34:06And, of course, Mahomes will probably pull Rabbit out of his hat,
00:34:08but I like them plus the 5.5.
00:34:10And lastly, we have Brock Purdy, over 22-plus completions.
00:34:15He's done this in three home appearances, in his last three home appearances.
00:34:19I'm sorry.
00:34:20Titans defense stinks.
00:34:21Bottom of the league.
00:34:22And, look, I think Purdy's going to be running around a lot.
00:34:25A lot of dink and dunks.
00:34:2622-plus.
00:34:27And that's what we're going to go with for this week.
00:34:30Hell, yeah.
00:34:31That is the money corner, guys.
00:34:33Put the graphic up in case people want to screenshot it and have it saved for later.
00:34:38Let's make some Christmas money.
00:34:40Yeah, let's make some money to stuff those stockings.
00:34:43I have a question.
00:34:44Yeah.
00:34:45What is pulling a rabbit out of a hat?
00:34:47Where does that come from?
00:34:48Magicians.
00:34:49Magicians.
00:34:50They do that?
00:34:50Mm-hmm.
00:34:51Dana.
00:34:51I think it's a classic old trick.
00:34:53Okay.
00:34:54I thought they pulled birds out of it.
00:34:56They do birds.
00:34:57There's a lot of doves, a lot of birds as well.
00:34:59God, I love you.
00:35:00You didn't know.
00:35:00Come on, man.
00:35:01It's like, dude, dude?
00:35:02Come on.
00:35:02You've never seen a magic wand?
00:35:03I've heard the phrase before.
00:35:04You've seen it in, like, cartoons.
00:35:05I've heard the phrase, but I've never seen it in person.
00:35:08Like, Bugs Bunny out of a hat?
00:35:09Unless I see it, it's not real.
00:35:11Hour two of Wake Up Barstool coming up next.
00:35:14Brian Baldinger kicking us off.
00:35:16Woo!
00:35:18Let's go.
00:35:27Wake Up Barstool FS1.
00:35:30We got Brian Baldinger coming up here in a minute.
00:35:32As soon as Baldy joins the show, we will go and break down some NFL with him,
00:35:38as nobody watches more film than Baldy.
00:35:41Remember last time we had him on, he said, what does he commit to it?
00:35:43I think 40 or 60 hours a week or something, watching every single game.
00:35:49And that's on top of, even if you go on his Twitter right now,
00:35:52Baldy's breakdowns, he's got breakdowns of Fernando Mendoza even in Indiana.
00:35:56So the man never sleeps.
00:35:58We'll get to some Baldy.
00:35:59But first, Dana B., you mentioned that you have a backup quarterback jersey collection
00:36:07with damn near 50 jerseys.
00:36:10This is about half of them.
00:36:11Here is a sampling.
00:36:13I lost that Culpepper one.
00:36:15Oh, that sucks.
00:36:16Remember I brought it to the bar, me and you, and I left it in the Uber.
00:36:20Oh, no.
00:36:21Yeah.
00:36:21That's, that's...
00:36:22Somebody out there, an Uber driver, has a Miami Dolphins Dante Culpepper jersey.
00:36:27Well, no, it's, it's, it's now just safely tucked away in that magical room that you will
00:36:31one day stumble upon, the room of lost and hidden things.
00:36:35Yeah.
00:36:36This is about half of them.
00:36:37You can see a couple stuffed away up top.
00:36:40I've bought a lot more since this photo.
00:36:43Are these authentics?
00:36:44These are pretty much whatever I find out there.
00:36:45Okay.
00:36:46Okay.
00:36:46Because they look good.
00:36:47Uh, yeah, we got Elvis Gerbach, two Petermans.
00:36:51There's a third one somewhere.
00:36:53God.
00:36:53Scott Zolak, that's a Patriots, uh, broadcaster.
00:36:57Brandon Whedon, that's another Browns one I have.
00:36:59Jay Cutler, let me say, I don't, I don't know why he's in there.
00:37:02Uh.
00:37:02He's not a backup.
00:37:03Who's that?
00:37:04By any means.
00:37:05Jay Cutler.
00:37:05Okay, look, we got Baldy here.
00:37:07Uh, Brian Baldinger, Baldi's breakdowns.
00:37:09Nobody knows more NFL breaks down film better than our guy Baldi.
00:37:14Baldi, what's up, man?
00:37:15How we doing today?
00:37:17I'm looking at that Dante Culpepper jersey.
00:37:20That was a, that's a, that's a sore point in, uh, Jimmy Johnson's career.
00:37:24Yeah.
00:37:24Yeah, man.
00:37:25Coming back to Miami.
00:37:26Coming back and, you know, missing out on Drew Brees and settling for Drew, uh, for Dante Culpepper.
00:37:32Things, things might've gotten a little bit different down there in South Florida.
00:37:35Yeah.
00:37:36I mean, as the story goes, right, the doctors didn't clear Brees' shoulder.
00:37:40This was after the labrum surgery with Dr. Andrews.
00:37:43And, well, I'm glad they didn't.
00:37:46Because my New Orleans Saints, it's the only way that they were ever going to win a Super Bowl.
00:37:49All roads.
00:37:51So, look, sometimes it's better be lucky than good, Baldy.
00:37:54No doubt.
00:37:54Well, I mean, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's the perfect definition of better than, better lucky than good.
00:37:59I mean, where would Sean Payton be if he didn't have Drew Brees?
00:38:02He'd be in that graveyard of other Saint coaches, probably.
00:38:05Well, and, and now look at him.
00:38:07Now he's in Denver and they're freaking awesome and they're winning games really closely.
00:38:11And it's a conversation, Baldy, that we had earlier in the show.
00:38:14And so, I want to bring your expertise in.
00:38:16And, um, we all were talking about the Broncos.
00:38:20They're 11-2.
00:38:21They've been great.
00:38:22They, they have an incredible defense, championship-level defense.
00:38:24They, they, they're really good in the margins and close games.
00:38:27But we all kind of have a lack of belief in them.
00:38:31Maybe compared to some of the other elite NFL teams.
00:38:34Where do you sit with the Denver Broncos?
00:38:38Well, I mean, they haven't played the toughest schedule.
00:38:40I think the second easiest schedule in the league.
00:38:42Them and the Patriots.
00:38:43That's one of the reasons why both teams are 11-2.
00:38:45But I don't want to take anything away.
00:38:47A win is a win.
00:38:48They're going to get, they're going to get a good test this week from Green Bay.
00:38:51We'll find out a lot more about them.
00:38:52I don't think they run the ball particularly well.
00:38:55R.J. Harvey had a good game last week.
00:38:57Um, you got to run the ball in January to win football games.
00:39:00You got to be able to melt the clock when you get a lead.
00:39:03You know, you saw what happened last night to the Bucs.
00:39:06I mean, they had a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter.
00:39:07They couldn't hold it.
00:39:09That happens in playoff games.
00:39:10You know, that, that stuff is important.
00:39:12Especially when you start getting to, you know, December, January football.
00:39:15When the weather gets lousy and the fields get lousy.
00:39:18So, we'll see how that holds up.
00:39:20But, you know, I mean, yes, they can sack the quarterback.
00:39:22They don't take the ball away very much.
00:39:24Which is a little bit weird.
00:39:26How you can have 56 sacks and yet only, I think, 9 or 10 takeaways.
00:39:30Oh, that's crazy.
00:39:30Yeah, you would think, like, with the pressure that they apply, that they get the ball out of the quarterback's hands or intercept more passes than they do.
00:39:39And so, those are, I'm knocking them a little bit.
00:39:41Because I think you have to, like, to your point, are they for real?
00:39:45Well, if you look closer, there's some, there's some deficiency there.
00:39:49However, you've got to love what Bo Nix is doing and how he does it.
00:39:53He's very elusive.
00:39:55And he's, I don't know, I played up there at Mile High seven different times.
00:40:00I never won a game.
00:40:00I never could catch my breath.
00:40:02He never looks like it bothers him at all.
00:40:04So, that's a real, I mean, that's a real advantage.
00:40:08Like, because I feel as a common man or somebody who hasn't experienced Mile High, it's very easy to kind of hand wave that away.
00:40:14Like, as an actual NFL player, when you go up there, like, if they were to get home field advantage out of the playoffs, that's a real advantage for them.
00:40:21I think it is.
00:40:22I mean, I felt it.
00:40:23Now, maybe Micah Parsons won't feel it this week, chasing Bo Nix.
00:40:28It'd be a good question to ask him at the end of the game if it got to him.
00:40:32But it always, I always felt it.
00:40:34I didn't think it was psychological either.
00:40:36I felt it up there.
00:40:37You know, when you're out there as an offense lineman chasing down the field, picking up your running back or, you know, picking up your receiver.
00:40:43Like, the way guys like Quentin Nelson does, you know, that's what I did as well.
00:40:47And I felt it jump on my back every time.
00:40:51I don't care if I played him in a preseason game in the summer or if I played him, you know, during the regular season, at any point during the season.
00:40:57I felt that effect.
00:40:59Baldy, we're talking a little bit more about this Packers-Broncos game.
00:41:03Obviously, the Packers are starting to get a little bit healthier here with some of their receivers coming back.
00:41:07When they are healthy and they're rolling, would you say they're probably one of the top offenses in the league?
00:41:13Where would you rank them just in terms of when everything is going right, that offense with Jordan Love?
00:41:18Well, the problem they had in the middle of the season, they lost Tucker Craft.
00:41:22He was a great player.
00:41:23Yeah.
00:41:23Locker and receiver.
00:41:24So they struggled a little bit.
00:41:26But the bigger issue to me was, you know, when they lost Elton Jenkins, they put Sean Ryan in at center and they put Jordan Morgan at right guard.
00:41:33And Morgan wasn't very good.
00:41:35And they weren't very good in the middle.
00:41:38And then they replaced him with Anthony Belton, the rookie at a North Carolina State.
00:41:41And I feel like now, at least the last two weeks with Belton at right guard, they look a lot better.
00:41:47And now they've gotten Josh Jacobs back healthy, who's just a beast.
00:41:50But now you're talking about the receivers.
00:41:52Now you can get the ball to Christian Watson and, you know, Romeo Dobbs and Jane Reed.
00:41:57You can get the – and even Musgrave is waking up right now and Fitzgerald.
00:42:01Like, it feels like there's real targets.
00:42:03And Jordan Love doesn't feel like he's under siege right now.
00:42:07So I feel like they fixed the offense line.
00:42:10It took a while.
00:42:11But I believe in his kid, Anthony Belton.
00:42:13He's a big, wide body.
00:42:15You know, he's got good bounce.
00:42:16He's never on the ground.
00:42:17So we'll see.
00:42:19We'll see what he's like against, you know, Jonathan, you know, Franklin Myers and Zach Allen and Malcolm Roach,
00:42:25the interior guys for the Broncos, who are really good players.
00:42:29Hey, Baldy, I love breaking down offensive line film.
00:42:32It's like something I love doing.
00:42:34What's your favorite scheme to break down?
00:42:37Like, run blockers?
00:42:37Wait, wait, Baldy, real quick.
00:42:38I got to jump in here because this guy right here, this is Michael Kadick.
00:42:41He was Indiana's center last year on the playoff team.
00:42:44So this guy was on the ground floor of the rise of the Hoosiers right here, Baldy.
00:42:48And he loves O-Line.
00:42:50He loves you.
00:42:51I just wanted to be very clear about that.
00:42:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:42:52So you were snapping O'Rourke last year.
00:42:55Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:42:56Yeah, so you've watched Mendoza this year.
00:42:58What's the big difference between the two?
00:43:00I just don't.
00:43:02I think Mendoza's accuracy is unbelievable.
00:43:07Yeah.
00:43:08His deep ball accuracy is great, you know.
00:43:10You saw him the touchdown throw.
00:43:12Yeah, that all year, his back shoulder throws.
00:43:16Yeah, the one against Oregon after the pick six.
00:43:19And I think, you know, Rourke's way to manipulate the deep ball as well,
00:43:26manipulate defenses.
00:43:28He was so smart, and he would watch film with us and break it down,
00:43:33and he was just such a smart – I'm sure Fernando's just as smart,
00:43:37but I'm just not in the room with him.
00:43:39But, yeah, it was just kind of the –
00:43:41I mean, Fernando's like 6'5", 220, right?
00:43:43I mean, Rourke was 6'4".
00:43:45Oh, was he?
00:43:45Okay, never mind.
00:43:46Not bad.
00:43:47All right, sorry.
00:43:49I just wanted you two to meet because I know you love ball.
00:43:51Yes.
00:43:51Oh, yeah, I was asking your favorite run-blocking scheme to break down.
00:43:57Duo guy.
00:43:58What are you?
00:44:00I know they run a lot of duo in the NFL, so.
00:44:03Yeah.
00:44:03Well, I mean, there's a play that everybody has,
00:44:07and they run it once or twice a game.
00:44:09Almost everybody.
00:44:10Detroit started it.
00:44:11I call it triple trap, double scoop, right?
00:44:14What?
00:44:15And so you've got a tight end and a wing position, and he's whamming,
00:44:19and then the right guard is trapping,
00:44:21and then the left guard is kicking out as the left tackle is going up to the
00:44:26second level and the center is going up to the second level.
00:44:28And they get, like, these double scoops, and a guy like, you know,
00:44:32you get a guy like Jameer Gibbs.
00:44:34He sees that, and there's some space there and some, you know, some daylight.
00:44:38I mean, those backs, Bijan, you know, Gibbs, like,
00:44:42these guys just hit it and split it.
00:44:43Like, I see that play, and I go, oh, God.
00:44:47Triple trap, double scoop.
00:44:49I mean, that's heaven right there.
00:44:50Yeah, I love that.
00:44:51It sounds like an ice cream order.
00:44:52Baldy, look, okay, actually, you know what?
00:44:57I have a million questions the producers want me to ask,
00:44:59but I'm going selfish here.
00:44:59I'm going off script.
00:45:01How about Tyler Shuck, dude?
00:45:03Is Tyler Shuck legit?
00:45:05I know I'm buying into the propaganda,
00:45:06but I like a little bit of what I'm seeing out of this Saints young quarterback.
00:45:10So I met him this summer, and it was on a Saturday,
00:45:15and Kellen Moore had a full scrimmage, right?
00:45:19It was a 160-play scrimmage.
00:45:21Damn.
00:45:22But he wanted two games, and it was in the heat,
00:45:25like in the soup of New Orleans, right?
00:45:27Yeah, hell yeah.
00:45:28Wherever that is.
00:45:29Yeah, that counts.
00:45:30So I know some of the guys there, like some of the coaches and everything.
00:45:34I stood behind the offense and watched this scrimmage, right?
00:45:38So I meet Tyler Shuck, and the first thing you meet is he's a big kid.
00:45:43Yeah.
00:45:43Like, you know, I'm 6'4", 250, but he's every bit of 6'5", right?
00:45:47He's got to – and so, you know, when I left that scrimmage that day,
00:45:50I was like, that's their starting quarterback.
00:45:52I know he's a rookie, but that's their starter.
00:45:54Nothing against Spencer Rattler, but he just looked the part.
00:45:57And then you watch him run like you did last week against Tampa,
00:46:01and he's like – he's elusive.
00:46:03Like, he's fast.
00:46:04So now he's big, strong, fast, and he's got a good arm.
00:46:07All right.
00:46:08But, you know, you watch him the last two weeks against Miami
00:46:11and then last week against Tampa, and all you see is this guy
00:46:14that is just improving.
00:46:16Like, he knows where to go with the ball, and I feel like there's a future for him.
00:46:20I don't want to, like – like, I've seen guys have, you know,
00:46:23a resume of three games, and you, like, you just want to put them
00:46:26in the Hall of Fame, you know?
00:46:27Like, I'm not doing anything crazy, but I feel like that's a guy
00:46:31that the Saints can develop.
00:46:33I know Kellen Moore.
00:46:34I know how he thinks.
00:46:35I know what he wants.
00:46:36Like, this touchdown run, all right, how many guys can do that?
00:46:40I thought he played really well.
00:46:43You know, he gets out of harm's way right there.
00:46:44That was Vita Vea trying to put him on the turf right there.
00:46:47Like, you get away from some Polynesian power.
00:46:50That's just like – that's legit.
00:46:51But I do like what I've seen, and look, to go into Tampa
00:46:56and win that game like they did, I know Tampa's struggling on defense,
00:46:59but I don't care.
00:47:00Like, he's played well the last couple weeks.
00:47:02Yeah, you know Vita Vea's third-off play with no gloves.
00:47:07That's always a red flag.
00:47:09But, you know, the thing about Vita is he doesn't – he could play that game
00:47:13with no helmet.
00:47:14He could play with no shoulder pads.
00:47:15Yeah, he's like a sumo.
00:47:16It would just be like rugby and some more.
00:47:20Me and Caden got to go up against some professional sumos here in the office
00:47:24the other day, Baldy, and the power.
00:47:26They may not have the lateral quickness, but the power that these guys have,
00:47:30if it's un-freaking-real.
00:47:31I was in Japan last year.
00:47:32I took my girlfriend to a sumo wrestling –
00:47:35Oh, my hell yeah, dude.
00:47:36Like, dinner and a show.
00:47:38And, you know, I took pictures of some of the guys.
00:47:41Like, it's something special in this world when we can celebrate fat.
00:47:47Yes!
00:47:48Hell yeah, yes!
00:47:49Just celebrate.
00:47:51Like, can we stop, like, with the, you know, the toned bodies and all that.
00:47:55Yes!
00:47:56And just celebrate fat.
00:47:57Look at that.
00:47:57Guys, enjoy being fat and strong.
00:48:00Oh, my God, I love it.
00:48:02Strong, fat, and, like, a good base.
00:48:03Give me somebody that's fat with a good base, and I'll find a way to celebrate that.
00:48:08Big boys are in.
00:48:09That's so bad.
00:48:09Yeah, we need to make a BB – we need to make a Big Boys Club shirt.
00:48:13Strong, fat, with a good base.
00:48:15Baldy, that lights me up, man.
00:48:17All right, Baldy, more NFL here.
00:48:19Lions-Rams this weekend.
00:48:22The Lions, we know they're a solid team.
00:48:24We know they're a solid culture, right?
00:48:27Like, the fact that they haven't lost back-to-back games in three years, it proves that.
00:48:32And yet, the NFC margins are tough right now.
00:48:35And, like, they're kind of on the edge of not being able to make it.
00:48:38The Rams look like they might be a Super Bowl favorite-esque team.
00:48:42How are you scoring this one?
00:48:43Is this a last stand for the Lions?
00:48:46Well, here's the thing.
00:48:47While they haven't lost two in a row, they haven't won two in a row since October 5th.
00:48:52Yeah.
00:48:52They've gone nine weeks without stacking a W.
00:48:55And now you've got to go and face the Rams.
00:48:57I feel like this is a bad matchup for Detroit here.
00:49:01Because their secondary has been beat up all year, and it is again.
00:49:05And this is not the team that you want to play.
00:49:08Like, I love the way the Rams have been constructed.
00:49:12Like, I don't think anybody wants to give any love to Larrick Jackson.
00:49:16The guy hasn't had a holding call, and he doesn't get beat.
00:49:19You know, Hutch will be out there against him.
00:49:22We'll go both sides.
00:49:23But I want to see him against Hutch.
00:49:24Because if you protect Stafford, he's going to carve you up.
00:49:28He's just that good.
00:49:29And Puka and Devontae and any one of four tight ends can beat you.
00:49:33I think this is a tough matchup for Detroit.
00:49:35Now, maybe they can get in a track meet with, you know, with Jameer and with Jameson Williams and Amon Ra.
00:49:41Like, that could be a track meet.
00:49:44Because they're capable of doing it.
00:49:45I would attack the corners in Los Angeles.
00:49:48But you've got to deal with a good front now.
00:49:50You've got to deal with, you know, Jared Verse and Byron Young and Kobe Turner and the whole group now.
00:49:54They're very, very good.
00:49:56They don't have to blitz much to get pressure.
00:49:59But I feel like this game favors the Rams.
00:50:02Just because the secondary in Detroit has been beat up all year.
00:50:06Yeah, it's so crazy.
00:50:07I always think of Verse and Braden Fisk.
00:50:10But yeah, you're right.
00:50:11They've got Young.
00:50:11They've got Turner.
00:50:12Like, the Rams, despite not having draft picks for years, have a lot of very good young talent.
00:50:18Very confusing and very frustrating.
00:50:21We're talking red zone offense.
00:50:24You watch everything.
00:50:26The Rams packages with the three tight ends, getting Devontae out there one-on-one, having Puka on the other side at times.
00:50:33Are they the most unstoppable red zone offense in the NFL right now?
00:50:36Well, I mean, look at, I went back and Devontae has got 14 touchdown passes.
00:50:41And I think 10 of them are inside the five.
00:50:44Yeah.
00:50:44Like, I saw a play, I saw him play, I forget which team it was, maybe three, four weeks ago.
00:50:49And, you know, they single him out.
00:50:51You know, he's to the wide side of the field.
00:50:53Like, he's spread way out and he's got a corner out there on him.
00:50:56And they throw the fade to him and they don't complete it.
00:50:59They come right back to next play and instead of running the fade, he kind of, like, gives a little head fake out there and he beats him inside.
00:51:05And Stafford, like, they were going to Devontae.
00:51:08Like, two plays in a row against the same corner, the same look, and he just gave him a different release.
00:51:14And so, I haven't seen a corner.
00:51:16I mean, I go back to, you know, maybe when Jalen Ramsey was playing against him.
00:51:22Like, when he was in Green Bay, like, he was, he's almost unstoppable down there because he has about 10 different releases.
00:51:30And you never know what he's going to do.
00:51:32It could be a stutter.
00:51:33It could be a crossover dribble.
00:51:35You know, it could just be a stab.
00:51:38Like, so, if you take Devontae and then you take, you know, whether it's Parkinson or Higby or any of the Ferguson, any of the tight ends, they all could beat you too.
00:51:47And so, and then, at the same time, Kyron Williams is a great, and in-court, they're really good short yardage goal line runners.
00:51:56So, they have a lot of different ways they can beat you.
00:51:59So, I would agree that they're as good as anybody at that part of the field.
00:52:04Baldy, we only have time for one more here.
00:52:06So sad.
00:52:07I get to talk to you all day.
00:52:08Thank you for carving out the time for us when you're not watching film 24-7.
00:52:13A million different directions I could go.
00:52:15But let's stick with an individual here.
00:52:17Miles Garrett, on the edge of setting the NFL record for most sacks in a single season, you look at his career numbers, nearly averaging a sack a game for his entire career up to this point in the NFL.
00:52:31Where does Miles Garrett rank among the all-time great pass rushers?
00:52:34Could he be the best ever?
00:52:36And what makes him so unstoppable?
00:52:39So, I talked to Miles this summer.
00:52:41And, you know, I was joking with him because, you know, he's got a graveyard for all these quarterbacks in the sack.
00:52:47So, you know, he's also, though, been blocking field goals, just jumping over offense alignment and blocking field goals.
00:52:52I said, well, why don't you get, like, a graveyard for kickers, too, Mike?
00:52:56I thought that was a good idea.
00:52:58He had a move two weeks ago against Trent Williams.
00:53:02Yes.
00:53:03Yep.
00:53:04Where he literally looked like an avatar.
00:53:06Like, he looked like one of these, like, fantasy, like, movies where men could just, or people can just start flying, you know, like, they just take off, like, some fantasy thing, sci-fi thing.
00:53:17He took off from the right side, and he literally jumped from his, from outside of Trent Williams all the way to the inside and then sacked, you know, Brady.
00:53:32Right?
00:53:32So, I go, so I'm looking at that, and I'm looking at Trent's reaction.
00:53:37Now, Trent has seen everything in his business, right?
00:53:39He's seen every pass, but he kind of looked at, like, nobody wants to give up a sack, but he kind of looked at the ground going, what just, how did that guy just do that, you know?
00:53:49So, and I, and I think, you know, the combination of power and all that kind of stuff, it's, you know, he's a freak.
00:53:55But I asked him also, like, how long would you stay around this league to break Bruce Smith's record?
00:54:01He's close with Bruce.
00:54:02Yeah.
00:54:03And Bruce has 200 sacks.
00:54:05Yeah.
00:54:05And I think Miles is at 140 or something, but he's only, like, 30 years old.
00:54:09Right.
00:54:09Like, he's going to break the all-time sack record if he, you know, he stays reasonably healthy.
00:54:14He said he didn't want to play the game until he's 37, 38 years old to do it.
00:54:19So, but I feel like he could be the all-time sack.
00:54:21And I played with Reggie White and played against Reg.
00:54:24Like, we're looking at maybe the best of all time.
00:54:26Yeah.
00:54:27And so, that's, you know, that's something else.
00:54:29And then to do it on one of the worst franchises in football, imagine if he did it, like, say, with the Rams.
00:54:36Yeah.
00:54:37You know, they're scoring 30 every week, and he got a chance to rush the quarterback where they got to throw it a lot more.
00:54:43Oh, that's a good point.
00:54:44He's even got limited opportunities because of game flow.
00:54:46He's got limited opportunities, and he's putting up those kind of numbers.
00:54:49Jeez.
00:54:49Baldy, you're the absolute best.
00:54:51Hey, real quick, Phillip Rivers.
00:54:52Is it possible?
00:54:5344 years old?
00:54:54Can he play?
00:54:55Yeah.
00:54:56You know, look, I mean, every athlete, I don't care if you're a boxer, football player, bat.
00:55:02What goes on you, even if you're healthy like Phillip Rivers, your reflexes go.
00:55:07Your reaction time goes.
00:55:09It just does.
00:55:10It happens to all of us.
00:55:11And I feel like Phillip might know the offense.
00:55:14It might be, okay, let's open the door and see what we can do.
00:55:17He's thrown the ball to Pittman before.
00:55:20I just think his reaction time, especially in Seattle with that defense, like, they've got some pit bulls coming after you now.
00:55:26That would be tough.
00:55:27Devin Witherspoon, you know, like Emin Worry, like Big Cat Williams.
00:55:31I don't think this is going to go well if he plays.
00:55:33I don't want to see that.
00:55:35He's got the Texans staring him down week seven.
00:55:37It's scary times.
00:55:39Hey, Baldy, you're the absolute best.
00:55:40I know we kept you long.
00:55:41I apologize.
00:55:41Thank you, though.
00:55:42Thank you, Baldy.
00:55:43You're the man.
00:55:44All right.
00:55:44My pleasure, guys.
00:55:45Brian Baldinger.
00:55:46Baldy NFL.
00:55:47Baldy's breakdown.
00:55:49I love it.
00:55:49You can ask him anything in the NFL because nobody watches more NFL football than that man.
00:55:55Love him.
00:55:55All right.
00:55:56Smash your pass and plenty of other fun coming up next here on Wake Up Barstool.
00:56:01Oh, that's a good one right there, boys.
00:56:04I love basketball.
00:56:05You guys don't, but it's okay.
00:56:07I love basketball.
00:56:08Okay, okay, okay.
00:56:08Actually, not true because Megan, first off, is a mid-major basketball sharp.
00:56:13She's made a lot of money betting mid-majors through the years.
00:56:15Not this year, but through the years.
00:56:16Through the years.
00:56:17Well, it's not time yet.
00:56:18Yeah.
00:56:18I was more talking about Kadic.
00:56:20Yeah, Kadic.
00:56:21I like March Madness.
00:56:23Basketball was my favorite sport growing up.
00:56:25I still love the Pelicans.
00:56:26Now, I'm on kind of a little bit of a break.
00:56:30It's been tough.
00:56:31It's been tough years.
00:56:32I'll get you.
00:56:33But, Fierce is fun and Derrick Queen is very fun.
00:56:36He's nasty.
00:56:37Derrick Queen's actually good.
00:56:38He's the next Jokic.
00:56:40Yes.
00:56:41That's what we like.
00:56:42All right, Dana, give us some quick thoughts on the NBA since we're here.
00:56:44I mean, the Thunder keep just plowing teams.
00:56:48Are we still in the 73-9 potential base?
00:56:51They beat the Suns the other night by 50, and the Suns are a good team.
00:56:5724-1?
00:56:58And they're not just winning.
00:56:59They're just beating teams down.
00:57:02The Celtics let me down last night.
00:57:04That was tough.
00:57:04But the Celtics are low-key better than people thought.
00:57:08And Jason Tatum is going to be back.
00:57:09Celtics are low-key the most unlikable franchise in all of sports.
00:57:12Don't say that.
00:57:13I mean, am I wrong?
00:57:15Yeah, you're wrong.
00:57:16In all of sports?
00:57:17I don't mind them.
00:57:18I'm just saying.
00:57:18I got them.
00:57:19I got them.
00:57:19I don't know all of sports.
00:57:20I'm, like, kind of next to the Cowboys.
00:57:23Eagles.
00:57:25Come on.
00:57:26Nah, Celtics.
00:57:28You're wrong.
00:57:29No, Celtics suck.
00:57:30You're wrong.
00:57:31All right, it's time, guys, for a little smash or pass.
00:57:36See what we got on the docket this week.
00:57:39Oh, it's back.
00:57:40We had a lot of debate over raisins on Wednesday's show.
00:57:45So, this is a certified double smash.
00:57:48What?
00:57:49I'm passing so hard.
00:57:50Just give me grapes.
00:57:51I don't want them to, like, get all withered and gross.
00:57:53I like raisins.
00:57:54Wait, guys.
00:57:55Are you saying a double smash?
00:57:57A double smash.
00:57:58Raisins are freaking incredible.
00:57:59It's nature's candy.
00:58:00Raisins are good.
00:58:01They're like gummies.
00:58:02I don't.
00:58:02You don't like the texture of raisins?
00:58:04I like the texture.
00:58:05I don't like the taste.
00:58:06What?
00:58:07It's sweet.
00:58:08I don't like it.
00:58:09You ever have a...
00:58:10I'm passing.
00:58:10Is that okay with you?
00:58:11No, I just...
00:58:12I'm so sick of all the Annie Raisin...
00:58:14Energy out of this...
00:58:16Everybody here.
00:58:17This might be a dumb question.
00:58:18Shut the flip up.
00:58:19Have you ever had a salad with raisins in it?
00:58:21Yeah, I don't...
00:58:22Yeah.
00:58:22Yeah, like one of those, like...
00:58:23Not bad.
00:58:24They're good because the texture changed.
00:58:26It is.
00:58:27Also, I was eating trail mix the other day, again, to put this to the test, and like,
00:58:31well, raisins wouldn't be my number one element, judge, on an individual basis.
00:58:34That's obviously cashews.
00:58:36Raisins are the O-line of trail mix, okay?
00:58:38I'm a known raisins.
00:58:39They hold everything together.
00:58:40There.
00:58:41The texture change from the crunchy nut to then the gummy raisin is what makes everything
00:58:48work.
00:58:48Yes.
00:58:49Don't ever compare raisins to the...
00:58:50I don't know if I've ever seen...
00:58:51Unheralded, yet makes everything work.
00:58:54It all starts up front in the trail mix.
00:58:56I'm with K-Dick.
00:58:58I've never seen K-Dick so disgusted.
00:59:00You're disgusted.
00:59:00At what you just said.
00:59:01I can't believe...
00:59:02The M&M's are the back...
00:59:03Trail mix is horrendous.
00:59:05No.
00:59:05Oh, whoa.
00:59:06Okay, okay.
00:59:06We're not besmirched in trail mix.
00:59:09Raisins ruin trail mix.
00:59:11That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard you say, which is saying something.
00:59:14No, the dumbest thing you said will trail mix with M&M's.
00:59:16Also, Megan, no, M&M's should not be in trail mix.
00:59:20Raisins should...
00:59:21The most overrated part of it, easily.
00:59:22All right, all right, all right.
00:59:23Look, raisins has caused a rift that this show has never had before.
00:59:27Let's go to next.
00:59:28Get the...
00:59:30Get the...
00:59:30Oh.
00:59:30Wasabi.
00:59:31Is it by itself, or is it with sushi?
00:59:33We're going to assume it's with sushi.
00:59:35Okay, I'll smash.
00:59:36I don't know many people who are eating wasabi bites.
00:59:38I like putting it in the soy sauce.
00:59:40Yeah.
00:59:40Mix it up in there.
00:59:41I like to put that.
00:59:42I like to do that, and then put little bits on each bite of sushi.
00:59:45What is wasabi?
00:59:46Is it a plant?
00:59:47It's horseradish.
00:59:48It's ground Asian horseradish.
00:59:50Okay, that makes sense.
00:59:51I thought it was peas.
00:59:54I thought it was hot peas.
00:59:55Where did you think the extreme...
00:59:57I'm liking sushi.
00:59:57Have you tried horserad...
00:59:58Sorry, have you tried wasabi now, David?
01:00:00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:00:01I thought it was, like, peas smashed up and just, like, with some spices in there.
01:00:06Like horseradish, I love a good clear-out-your-sinuses bite of food.
01:00:11Oh, I could use one of those right now.
01:00:13Yeah.
01:00:13Bro, the cocktail sauce at St. Elmo's in Indianapolis?
01:00:16Yeah.
01:00:17Oh, I've heard that.
01:00:18You want to talk about a Mike Tyson right hook?
01:00:21Yes.
01:00:22That'll knock everything.
01:00:23Where is it?
01:00:24In Indianapolis.
01:00:24Oh, should we go?
01:00:25Everybody talks about St. Elmo's.
01:00:27Oh, my God.
01:00:27I've never been.
01:00:28Oh, I want to eat...
01:00:29This happens every week.
01:00:31I'm so hungry.
01:00:32Megan, help me out here.
01:00:33So, Dana just had cocktail shrimp for the first time.
01:00:37And he is claiming that shrimp doesn't taste like anything.
01:00:41It does.
01:00:42I think maybe, like, if you're getting it from a supermarket and they're already, like, washing it and, like, putting it...
01:00:48Like, you're not going to get, like, the good seafood, salty brine flavor.
01:00:52Like, but if you're getting it at a restaurant, I think they taste like something.
01:00:56It tastes like shrimp.
01:00:57It just tastes like nothing.
01:00:58The day that you said that, I found some in my fridge and I was eating them to be like, is Dana right?
01:01:03No.
01:01:04It tastes like ice.
01:01:05No, it tastes like shrimp, brother.
01:01:06I'm telling you.
01:01:07It's like water.
01:01:09It does.
01:01:09It tastes like a cube of water.
01:01:13That'd be an ice cube.
01:01:14No, he...
01:01:15Matt wants to know if you're unfreezing your shrimp.
01:01:18The shrimp are not...
01:01:19They are unfrozen.
01:01:21I mean, they're just, like, what you get out of a bag somewhere, you know?
01:01:23Dana's just eating, like, bait shrimp.
01:01:25A frozen cube of water.
01:01:27It's an ice cube.
01:01:28You're eating an ice cube.
01:01:29Next.
01:01:30Smash or pass.
01:01:32Eggplant.
01:01:33I'll smash.
01:01:34I like fried eggplant.
01:01:35Not on its own.
01:01:35Yeah, the fried eggplant.
01:01:37You have to just smother it in sauce.
01:01:39Fried eggplant fries with, like, parm.
01:01:41I'll smash.
01:01:42I'm going to go...
01:01:43I'm going to have a trust tree honesty moment here.
01:01:46I don't think I've ever had eggplant.
01:01:48I've never had eggplant parm.
01:01:50Okay.
01:01:51Fried eggplant.
01:01:51I've never had a fried eggplant.
01:01:53It reminds me a lot of a fried green tomato, but, like, not...
01:01:57I've never had fried green tomatoes.
01:01:58I've never had fried anything.
01:01:59And you're talking about revoking my southern card.
01:02:01Well, I mean...
01:02:02Oh, my God.
01:02:02Did I?
01:02:03You tried.
01:02:04You tried for...
01:02:04Whenever I said I didn't like grits.
01:02:06Oh, yeah, I did.
01:02:07Oh, damn.
01:02:08You fry anything, Beersy's eating it.
01:02:10Yep.
01:02:11Yeah.
01:02:11Yeah, for sure.
01:02:12Fry a shoe.
01:02:12I'd eat the shoe.
01:02:14We fried a football in here.
01:02:15It did not go well.
01:02:16I saw a guy that deep fried a knife recently.
01:02:18Really?
01:02:18I would have eaten that.
01:02:20That seems like it would do a number on your insides.
01:02:23Yeah, for sure.
01:02:24Just shards of metal blades going out.
01:02:26It's next on Dan and Trash.
01:02:27But he fried it.
01:02:28He fried it.
01:02:29I had to eat it, too.
01:02:30All right.
01:02:30Welcome back to Dan and Trash.
01:02:32We're trying a fried knife.
01:02:35We tried to eat the fried football on Thursday's show here, and it did not go well.
01:02:39All right.
01:02:40Okay, sorry.
01:02:41Where's everybody on eggplant?
01:02:42Oh, smash.
01:02:42I'm smashing it.
01:02:43Yeah, smash.
01:02:43I love sauerkraut.
01:02:45Yep.
01:02:46I'm passing.
01:02:47Never had, actually.
01:02:48I'll put that on my list right now.
01:02:49Yeah.
01:02:50I've only had it on, like, I think, like, sandwiches and maybe, like, sauces.
01:02:55It seems fine.
01:02:56Yeah.
01:02:56I don't mind it, but I'm not going to, like, go out of my way to, like, seek out something.
01:02:59Yeah, I don't think I could say smash because I don't crave it.
01:03:02Yeah.
01:03:03But maybe, but, I mean, I'm open to it.
01:03:05Yeah.
01:03:06I'm open to it.
01:03:07You want me to read, uh, Jeremy wants me to read some of the things I haven't tried here.
01:03:10Yes.
01:03:11All right, let's go.
01:03:12Calamari.
01:03:13Delicious.
01:03:14Whoa, bro, speaking of great fried food, brother.
01:03:17Dana, you're going to like a change.
01:03:18I'm going to put you on some calamari, dude.
01:03:20I don't know what this, it just says candies.
01:03:22I don't know why I wrote candies.
01:03:23That doesn't make sense because I've had a lot of candies.
01:03:26Poutine.
01:03:26Ooh.
01:03:27I've never, I've never had either.
01:03:28You'll love poutine, too.
01:03:29It's like gravy fries, right?
01:03:30Oh, yeah.
01:03:31Eggs Benny.
01:03:32Oh, so good.
01:03:34Like a crab eggs benedict.
01:03:35Matcha.
01:03:36Matcha, is that what they call it?
01:03:37Yeah, matcha.
01:03:38I don't think they'll like that.
01:03:39Crab legs.
01:03:40Yes.
01:03:41Oh, Dana.
01:03:42And then I've had lobster in, like, a lobster roll, but I've never had a physical just, like,
01:03:46lobster where you have to crack it open and eat it.
01:03:48Crab legs are so much better than lobster.
01:03:51We had crab legs here at the office.
01:03:52It's not even close.
01:03:52It's not even close.
01:03:53I think I'm doing, I think I'm doing, I'm going to do lobster and crab legs.
01:03:56Might be a hot take.
01:03:57My, oh, wait, sorry, go ahead, Mikey.
01:03:59Hot, no, my hot take, crab legs are leagues above lobster.
01:04:04I think there's a time and a place for both.
01:04:06Like, I love lobster, but, like, the crab legs, the satisfaction you get with a big meaty pull,
01:04:11being able to just dunk it in that butter and just slide it off.
01:04:16Uh-huh.
01:04:16I've almost never had, I mean, I'm kind of with Mikey, but it's probably a function of me not having as much lobster.
01:04:21Yeah, I would say.
01:04:22I love the taste of crab.
01:04:24I'm eating my 1-3.
01:04:25And just, like, blue crab, busting those open and just going to town.
01:04:28I love it.
01:04:29My wife's family, they're Maryland people, and so they do crab feasts, which is just like the Maryland version of crawfish boils.
01:04:38And wait, why do Old Bay?
01:04:39I just don't like it.
01:04:39When you're in Maryland, you've got to do Old Bay.
01:04:40It's the same thing.
01:04:41It's great.
01:04:42It has, like, nutmeg or something in it.
01:04:44I don't like it.
01:04:44You've got to do Old Bay when you're in Maryland.
01:04:46Yeah, Old Bay's great, dude.
01:04:47Old Bay's great.
01:04:48I love a good all-purpose seasoning.
01:04:51Yes.
01:04:52Any all-purpose seasoning.
01:04:53I'm all Tony's this way.
01:04:57Dana, producers had the same reaction, of course, that everybody has when they hear you haven't tried something.
01:05:02I thought he was from the Northeast.
01:05:03Everyone said, I know, man.
01:05:05I know.
01:05:06It's not my fault.
01:05:07Guys, back up.
01:05:08Well, no, it is your fault.
01:05:09It's not your mom's fault.
01:05:09It's not my mom's fault.
01:05:10It's not my dad's fault.
01:05:12We just didn't do it.
01:05:14I don't know what to tell you guys.
01:05:16We didn't go to seafood restaurants.
01:05:18We didn't make seafood.
01:05:19We didn't live on the water.
01:05:21Seafood's my one-one.
01:05:22Smash or pass?
01:05:24Ginger beer.
01:05:25Smash.
01:05:26Pass.
01:05:26A mule and a mule?
01:05:27Connor Griffin beer.
01:05:28I'll do a mule.
01:05:30I just don't really like ginger stuff.
01:05:32I like, uh, I don't know if I'm going to say I like it enough to smash,
01:05:36but it does help settle the tummy.
01:05:38I think ginger ale is pretty underrated.
01:05:41Ginger ale is great.
01:05:42Very underrated.
01:05:43Another, another tummy, tummy ache.
01:05:45Oh, yeah.
01:05:46I crush ginger ale.
01:05:48When you're having, when you're having, uh, puke on your phallus sundaes.
01:05:51Carson's asking me if St. Louis pizza was good or bad.
01:05:55Uh, I had emo's in St. Louis.
01:05:57You ever have that?
01:05:58Uh, trust me, Carson.
01:05:59Uh, I forgot to text you.
01:06:00Carson texted me to give you a bunch of recommendations.
01:06:02Toasted raviolis.
01:06:03Uh, there you go, Carson.
01:06:04He hit them all.
01:06:06I mean, yeah, the toasted raviolis were fantastic.
01:06:08The emo's pizza, I would say, is something you would eat at, like, a children's birthday party.
01:06:12Ooh.
01:06:12Ooh.
01:06:13That's not an insult.
01:06:14It's just...
01:06:15Like a Chuck E. Cheese?
01:06:16It's just like a...
01:06:17Is that not an insult?
01:06:18No, no, it's like, uh, you know, kids would like it.
01:06:21Like Carson.
01:06:22Like a kid does it.
01:06:23So is it, like, super cheesy and, like, not very, like...
01:06:25No, it's just, like, it's just a cheese...
01:06:27I don't know how to...
01:06:28I'm not trying to insult the pizza.
01:06:29Or the cheese.
01:06:31It's the cheese.
01:06:31It's like a kid's pizza.
01:06:33Like a Chuck E. Cheese.
01:06:34I feel like it's, like, more insulting because you're genuinely not trying to insult them.
01:06:38I'm not.
01:06:38I'm not.
01:06:39It's like...
01:06:39You're like, yeah, it's just like a kid's.
01:06:41It's a toddler.
01:06:41If you had kids, they would love Emo's Pizza.
01:06:44It sounds like a kid's pizza name, to be fair.
01:06:47It's...
01:06:47It's...
01:06:47It's...
01:06:48Good?
01:06:50Ish?
01:06:50You said that with a question mark.
01:06:51He goes, it's good?
01:06:53Me, Elmo.
01:06:53Ish?
01:06:54Me like Emo's Pizza.
01:06:55Oh, I'm so hungry.
01:06:57Yeah, man.
01:06:58All right, guys.
01:06:59When we get back, we're going to go around the office.
01:07:01Got a little holiday check.
01:07:02We got the skill and schedule parlay coming up.
01:07:04We got plenty more right here.
01:07:06We're still going to get to some of these NFL games as well.
01:07:08Wake Up Barstool.
01:07:09More on FS1.
01:07:11Look at the bean.
01:07:15What's up, y'all?
01:07:16It's once again time to go around the office with Wake Up Barstool.
01:07:19What's the worst present you've ever gotten?
01:07:21Let's go find out.
01:07:23Ryan, what's the worst Christmas gift you've ever gotten?
01:07:25Coal.
01:07:26Who gave you coal?
01:07:27Oh, my parents.
01:07:28I was a bad kid.
01:07:29Yeah, no, I stole from Target when I was like, what, 12 years old.
01:07:33Stole some Pokemon cards, shoved them in my pants, and I was a bad kid.
01:07:37My great aunt, she was really old.
01:07:38She gave me one of those free America online discs that you get on like a desk at a dentist's office.
01:07:44Like the demo disc.
01:07:44Yeah, she gave me one of those.
01:07:46Mike Betts, what's the worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
01:07:48Worst Christmas gift?
01:07:49I asked for basketball cards.
01:07:51I should have explained it because I got WNBA cards.
01:07:54That was tough.
01:07:55One Christmas, my parents forgot to put my presents under the tree, so I woke up to no gifts and was convinced I was a very bad child.
01:08:04And they had to find a loophole to bring me down to the basement and show me the gifts.
01:08:08Like, Santa, put them down this way.
01:08:10It wasn't a bit.
01:08:12They just forgot.
01:08:13They forgot.
01:08:13Completely forgot about me.
01:08:14It was great.
01:08:15Annika, worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
01:08:17My mom surprised me with the drug test.
01:08:19Yay, that was fun.
01:08:21Growing up, I loved Derek Jeter.
01:08:23I wanted everything Derek Jeter.
01:08:24And my mom bought me a Derek Jeter model baseball glove.
01:08:30But she bought a glove that goes on my right hand because I'm right-handed.
01:08:34But when you're right-handed, the baseball glove goes on your left hand.
01:08:37So I immediately started crying because I was like, I love Derek Jeter so much.
01:08:40And then I tried to put the glove on and I realized it was the wrong hand.
01:08:42And I had to break my mom's heart after she had broken my heart that I couldn't use the gift.
01:08:46Brandon, what's the worst Christmas gift you ever got?
01:08:48Oh, my God.
01:08:49One time, my parents got me this sweater that had a lot of brown with some blue stripes across
01:08:54and a lot of different patterns.
01:08:56And there were some Christmas trees on it.
01:08:58It was the stupidest-looking sweater I've ever seen in my entire life.
01:09:01It was an awful sweater.
01:09:02And then I wore brown pants with it.
01:09:04Yeah, I looked terrible.
01:09:05I feel like the brown pants match this sweater.
01:09:08You have a Jalen Waddle jersey on.
01:09:10Yeah, I sure did, J-Bop, but I'm not wearing that sweater.
01:09:13Welcome back.
01:09:14Wake up, Barstool.
01:09:15Shout out everybody who answered.
01:09:17Brandon is the Grinch, man.
01:09:17He is the Grinch.
01:09:19There's like never been a wholesome moment that Brandon hasn't crapped on.
01:09:23No.
01:09:24Immediately afterwards.
01:09:27Some of you know if he likes me.
01:09:30Oh, he does.
01:09:31I don't know.
01:09:32I think he likes you.
01:09:32Cool.
01:09:35I don't know, actually.
01:09:36I mean, that's a field that I had a lot when I started working here as well.
01:09:39I don't know about Christmas, but it was my birthday one year.
01:09:42I got a football, and it was like the wrong size football.
01:09:47And I was in third grade, and I started crying.
01:09:49And I was like, that's not the right size.
01:09:51And then I was just being like a little brat.
01:09:53But I was at Disney World at the time.
01:09:56And to make me stop crying, I got a phone call, and it was Goofy.
01:10:00Let's go.
01:10:01Of course, dude.
01:10:02Goofy was like, I think I've told that story on here before.
01:10:04But he was like, what's up, dude?
01:10:06Like, what's up, dude?
01:10:07Is that what he's like?
01:10:08He's like, happy birthday.
01:10:10And then I was great for the rest of my birthday.
01:10:12I forgot about the football.
01:10:13Wow.
01:10:14Wrong size football.
01:10:15I was a brat, man.
01:10:17Yeah, I mean, that's a little kid.
01:10:19I think, God, that'd be crazy to give your kid a present and they start crying.
01:10:23Yeah, I was a child.
01:10:25No, it happens.
01:10:26I'm not blaming you.
01:10:26I think it happens.
01:10:28How is everybody's Christmas preparation going?
01:10:31I mean, the trees are up.
01:10:34The decorations are up.
01:10:35What do you think I'm about?
01:10:36I don't really do much.
01:10:39As a single man?
01:10:40I wouldn't either.
01:10:40Yeah, I don't really do much.
01:10:41I wouldn't either.
01:10:42You live alone?
01:10:42I don't have.
01:10:43Yeah, I don't really.
01:10:45When I was by myself, I didn't do anything.
01:10:47Yeah, I don't think I'm going to.
01:10:49Not even a tree?
01:10:50No.
01:10:51Why?
01:10:53Who am I trying?
01:10:54Yeah, I'm with you.
01:10:55I think you do it.
01:10:56Don't you do it for yourself?
01:10:57I don't think you do it for anybody else.
01:10:58I mean, if you want to just have the nice, peaceful, glistening of the Christmas tree vibe,
01:11:06yeah, you do it for yourself.
01:11:07But again, if I was K-Dick and I was just a single dude, I'd have my camping chair and my TV.
01:11:13Or a climber.
01:11:14Literally, that's all you need.
01:11:15Yeah, but maybe I'll get a Christmas-scented candle.
01:11:18You get a little Charlie Brown tree, you put some lights on it, and then when it's beautiful
01:11:23and it's cold at night and the snow's falling and you're at peace and maybe you're having
01:11:28a whiskey or something and you've got the soft glow of the tree at the edge of your vision.
01:11:34It's just a beautiful feeling.
01:11:35It is beautiful, especially here.
01:11:36Like, we never got snow, especially like this, down south.
01:11:39So, like, having your tree lit up with the snow flurries gently falling in the background.
01:11:45That's amazing, guys.
01:11:46Don't take it for granted.
01:11:47Just need a fireplace.
01:11:48We're going to get there soon.
01:11:49It does sound nice.
01:11:52Megan, how's your Christmas prep going, your decorations and everything?
01:11:54Y'all good to go?
01:11:55Yes and no.
01:11:56So, we're in between, like, moving right now.
01:11:58And we're also going out of town for Christmas.
01:12:01So, I've had to, like, figure out how Santa's going to get to California, how the gifts, what
01:12:07house to put the tree at.
01:12:08So, you made me feel like a jerk whenever I told you I don't think I was putting up a
01:12:12tree since I'm, like, moving stuff.
01:12:13Yeah.
01:12:14So, I did buy a little Charlie Brown Christmas tree and I'm putting it at the new house and
01:12:17then we're going to do presents the day before Christmas, probably, or maybe the day of Christmas.
01:12:23Peer pressure works, guys.
01:12:25I always was fascinated by the people that would go to, like, Florida or, like, nicer,
01:12:32like, warmer places for, like, Christmas.
01:12:34And they're like, how do we get the presents there?
01:12:37Yeah, because I always wondered.
01:12:38Because Santa is an omniscient and omnipresent magical being that knows where we all are
01:12:46at all times.
01:12:48Yes.
01:12:48In fact, many governments throughout world history have tried to kidnap and weaponize
01:12:53Santa because he has the ability to track every single human being.
01:12:57But his magic is so powerful and such that he's been able to escape multiple regimes.
01:13:04I'm talking to everybody from the Mongols back in, like, the 1300s to the papacy during
01:13:10medieval times.
01:13:11Oh, I don't know what's going on.
01:13:13All I'm thinking about is Mrs. Claus is fine.
01:13:14Recently, Napoleon launched an entire, like, the people think Napoleon launched a two-front
01:13:19campaign.
01:13:20That's a god mid-trouble.
01:13:21He really launched a tri-part campaign.
01:13:24He was also heading to the North Pole, but the elves turned him back.
01:13:28While you're giving a history lesson, all I can think about is if Mrs. Claus is fine.
01:13:32Like, fine?
01:13:33Like, fine.
01:13:34Attractive?
01:13:35Yeah.
01:13:36Damn, dude, you're going to talk about Miss Kringle like that.
01:13:39One time, my dad, we had snow on top of our roof, and he, I think he went up there, I
01:13:45don't, I think, and he said, ho-ho, when we got home.
01:13:49There you go.
01:13:50Oh, that's what my parents did.
01:13:51Ho-ho-ho.
01:13:51One of the best things ever when I was younger.
01:13:53They got the fake snow, and my mom put shoes down and sprayed the fake snow, so it looked
01:13:58like footprints like going to the fireplace, and then left a piece of like red fabric like
01:14:04tucked into like the fireplace little rung things.
01:14:07Yep.
01:14:07And also, there was like half-eaten carrots like everywhere, so I just assumed my mom
01:14:12was out there just like gnawing on them and spitting them out.
01:14:15You know what would be sick?
01:14:15Well, you assume, but I don't know.
01:14:16The reindeer get hungry during a full world journey, dude.
01:14:19Because maybe, you know how you can, how he eats cookies?
01:14:22Yep.
01:14:23100% Marty.
01:14:23Eat all the cookies and leave them there.
01:14:25I can't wait to do that.
01:14:26I was literally about to bring that up.
01:14:27Wait, how are you going to eat Santa's cookies, Danny?
01:14:29Then what's Santa going to eat when he shows up?
01:14:31If you eat all the cookies.
01:14:32Eat his cookies.
01:14:33I hope you're happy.
01:14:34You're trying to eat Santa's cookies.
01:14:35That man runs, that man, no I do not.
01:14:38That man works his butt off to get all the way around the world delivering presents, and y'all
01:14:43going to eat his cookies.
01:14:45I have a question.
01:14:46That's sad.
01:14:46Did you guys ever have to leave out anything obscure for Santa, like other than milk and
01:14:50cookies?
01:14:50Like, my Santa needed a bush instead of milk.
01:14:54Like, it was a bush beer with a cookie.
01:14:56My Santa, like, that was, I had to leave that out.
01:14:58Yeah, my Santa wanted a bottle of whiskey.
01:15:02A bottle of bourbon, actually.
01:15:04Yeah, makes sense now, but.
01:15:06Wait, are y'all, when it comes to Christmas gift shopping, have y'all gone fully online,
01:15:10or do you still like going into stores?
01:15:11Because, because I have a sickness, where I doubt I have the time for it anymore, but
01:15:17for probably well over 10 years straight, I would do the majority of my shopping on,
01:15:22like, Christmas Eve in a mall.
01:15:25Do you hate yourself?
01:15:26I, I, something about.
01:15:28That sounds miserable.
01:15:29Being out there amongst the people, the hustle, the bustle, the vibes, I just love it.
01:15:34More of an online guy.
01:15:36I just love it.
01:15:36I hit up Black Friday, got everything done.
01:15:39Smart.
01:15:39Easy, easy peasy.
01:15:40All right, never mind.
01:15:44All right, let's get to an Ask Web question here.
01:15:47T-Bubby.
01:15:49Stay at home dad, shout out, Ask Web, is Hanukkah gift giving way superior than Christmas, both
01:15:55for kids and parents?
01:15:57You don't have a kid open 20 gifts and play with only one, because you have eight days to
01:16:01open them.
01:16:02I guess I never considered this question.
01:16:04I think it'd be way better for kids.
01:16:06Like, every day you get to open it up, like, you know?
01:16:08Yeah, every day you get to open a gift, but it is better for the parents, because they're
01:16:12focused on that one gift every day.
01:16:15It is, it is like a nightmare when your kids, like, open up all of, like, the small toy,
01:16:19like, gifts, and it's, you go from putting batteries in one, and they've already moved
01:16:23on to the next toy.
01:16:24And it's just like, why did I, why did I spend this?
01:16:26Now, that said, there's something wonderfully gluttonous and exorbitant about seeing your
01:16:37child open up just a, a, a pile full of presents.
01:16:42Yeah.
01:16:42Knowing that it's wasted, knowing that they'll likely find a bottle cap on the ground that
01:16:47will intrigue them more for some unknown reason for the next three days.
01:16:50But it feels so good to watch them open it up.
01:16:53Are you the trash, are you the trash bag guy?
01:16:55Uh, when presents are being opened?
01:16:56Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:16:57For all the wrapping paper and everything.
01:16:58Yeah, absolutely.
01:16:59What's the best gifts y'all have ever received on Christmas, like, that you can remember?
01:17:02Hoverboard.
01:17:02Was it a hoverboard?
01:17:03Remember those hoverboards?
01:17:04I remember, I, I wouldn't say it's the best, but just an event we did that was really
01:17:08fun was, uh, and we did, like, what's it called?
01:17:12Secret Santa?
01:17:13No.
01:17:13The White Elephant?
01:17:14Yankee Swap.
01:17:14White Elephant?
01:17:15Yeah, Yankee Swap, whatever you call it.
01:17:17Yeah.
01:17:17Uh, with bottles of liquor, and, but every time you got one, you had to drink it.
01:17:24Ooh.
01:17:24Yeah, I think we're, I think we were.
01:17:25And it was awesome, but this was my family.
01:17:27Yeah.
01:17:28We were talking about doing something like that with the, uh, with the wake-up team.
01:17:31I'm not sure if we're going to or not.
01:17:32It was very fun, but your stomach is in shambles.
01:17:35Yeah.
01:17:35I mean, you have, like, ten different things in there.
01:17:37Oh.
01:17:38How big is a bottle of liquor?
01:17:39No, it's just like, it's a, it's a, it's a, everybody has, like, handles.
01:17:42Oh, it's like, handles, and then you end up, whatever you end up with, that's what
01:17:45you end up with.
01:17:46Oh, oh, oh.
01:17:47But as it, but as it, but as it, when you get it.
01:17:49As it crosses your path, you gotta drink it.
01:17:51Okay, I was, I love the impression you had to drink the whole thing.
01:17:53No, no, no, no, no.
01:17:56Uh, uh, I probably, for me, Meg, it's like video game consoles, right?
01:18:00Oh, dude, yeah.
01:18:01Like, in 64, I remember playing Super Mario 64, Day of Christmas, having my mind blown.
01:18:07Uh, playing Resistance on PS3.
01:18:10The Wii.
01:18:11Dreamcast, playing Sonic Adventures.
01:18:14I love it.
01:18:14I love the whole time.
01:18:15My dad, for me, my dad was, like, kind of hit or missed for holidays because of work,
01:18:20and he wasn't supposed to be home for Christmas, and he came home and then said, like, because
01:18:25I already opened the gifts, but he's, like, checked behind the fridge, and I'd wanted
01:18:28a dog forever, and I checked behind the fridge, and there's a little crate, and there's a
01:18:33little West Highland Terrier puppy, and I cried, and cried, and cried, like, it would
01:18:39have gone so violent, like, the videos now of the kids just being like, oh, my God, is
01:18:43this mine?
01:18:44That was me, and I, I loved that.
01:18:46There is something so awesome.
01:18:48Behind the fridge is a crazy place to store the dog to.
01:18:50Well, it was, like, a double fridge, so it was, like, it had, like, a gap.
01:18:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:18:54You know, I wouldn't look there.
01:18:55I wasn't gonna look.
01:18:56Yeah, for sure.
01:18:57There's something so awesome and exciting about, like, opening all your presents, and
01:19:01then your parents are, like, check behind, yeah, you're, like, one more, or, like, you
01:19:06think you're all done, and they're, like, check behind that, or, oh.
01:19:11All right, guys.
01:19:11Good luck in the garage.
01:19:12Yes.
01:19:13We got one more segment on the other side of this break.
01:19:16We got our skillet special parlay coming up.
01:19:19Gonna try to win it.
01:19:20We got a Youngernauts update.
01:19:22Word of the day and more.
01:19:23Don't go anywhere.
01:19:24This is Wake Up Barstool.
01:19:25And that is Chicago, and we are hungry.
01:19:28Yes.
01:19:32Jingle bells.
01:19:33Here it is, guys.
01:19:34The skillet special parlay.
01:19:36Last week, we were oh so close to hitting.
01:19:39This is plus 1,300.
01:19:41Megan.
01:19:42I'm gonna go with the Colts, plus 13 and a half.
01:19:44I know we don't know who's playing quarterback.
01:19:46However, Seahawks aren't blowing people out.
01:19:48I think this game is close, and whoever they put in, what?
01:19:53Didn't they just blow something?
01:19:54I think the Seahawks might have the biggest point differential in the NFL.
01:19:57Oh, maybe I got that flipped whenever I sent this this morning.
01:20:01But, hey, you know what?
01:20:02We're still gonna go with it.
01:20:03Yeah.
01:20:03No, hey, screw it.
01:20:04Instinct.
01:20:05Instinct, baby.
01:20:06Hey, look.
01:20:06Whenever you're asking for a pick at 5 o'clock in the morning, maybe my brain gets a little janky.
01:20:10Well, this skillet special parlay is just kind of a fun fire it off.
01:20:13It is.
01:20:14See what happens.
01:20:15It's a lot of points, okay?
01:20:16Dana went with the heart here.
01:20:18Yes.
01:20:20No, that kid did.
01:20:21Oh, my bad.
01:20:23Everything's wrong.
01:20:24I went with the fighting Danas.
01:20:26I assumed.
01:20:26I apologize.
01:20:27It's all right.
01:20:28Mikey.
01:20:29Well, what happens when you assume?
01:20:31You make an ass of you and me.
01:20:33I went with the fighting Danas plus one and a half.
01:20:36Woo!
01:20:36All right, Dana, back to the association.
01:20:39I'm hot right now.
01:20:40I've been doing my job in the skillet parlays.
01:20:42Hell yeah, Dana.
01:20:43I'm giving the NBA picks and they're hitting.
01:20:45All I do is watch basketball.
01:20:48The Timberwolves are better than the Warriors.
01:20:51Steph Curry's back, but it's the T-Wolves tonight.
01:20:54So, I have the Army-Navy under.
01:20:56This is something that's hit like 19 in the last 20 years or something.
01:21:00But PFT just told me that we've changed the Department of Defense to now the Department of War.
01:21:06Oh!
01:21:07Meaning we're adopting a war offensive bit.
01:21:10I, you know what?
01:21:12Last thing I can switch, guys.
01:21:13Give me the over.
01:21:14Woo!
01:21:14We're over 38 and a half.
01:21:16Let's bump up those odds some more.
01:21:18All right, there it is.
01:21:19Go official parlay.
01:21:20Dana, why do the Yuggernauts suck?
01:21:22What's going on?
01:21:23The Yuggernauts, our basketball team is just, listen, man.
01:21:27We don't have any chemistry.
01:21:28We don't have any chemistry.
01:21:29Bunch of me guys.
01:21:31We need some me guys.
01:21:31I don't know if it's a me guy problem.
01:21:33It's just we haven't played together.
01:21:35In our first week, two guys were missing.
01:21:37We had two subs.
01:21:38Last week, two guys were missing.
01:21:40We had two subs.
01:21:40Next week, we're supposed to have our full team.
01:21:42I might have to bring Kate again.
01:21:43Do you want to call out the guys that didn't show up?
01:21:47Was it a sick issue?
01:21:48Ebo had a shoulder issue or something.
01:21:51You can't say Rick.
01:21:52Rick was doing a video.
01:21:54That's fair.
01:21:54First week, Tate went to an Alabama basketball game.
01:21:57It's like, all right, listen.
01:21:58Priorities, guys.
01:21:59You know where this all starts?
01:22:01It starts off the court.
01:22:02It does.
01:22:03It does.
01:22:03You got to gel.
01:22:04We went and got beers after the game the other day.
01:22:06All right.
01:22:08Word of the day, boys.
01:22:09Yeah.
01:22:09To close things out here.
01:22:12Sycophant.
01:22:12Sycophant.
01:22:13I know that.
01:22:14There's a lot of these people in this company.
01:22:17Myself included.
01:22:19Sycophant?
01:22:19Sycophant?
01:22:20No.
01:22:20Some of them doesn't like to say others do that.
01:22:22Negative?
01:22:23No, that's very funny, though.
01:22:25Sycophants?
01:22:25No.
01:22:27Yes, men.
01:22:28Oh.
01:22:28People who are just always going to say, oh, yeah, boss.
01:22:31Oh, yeah, you're right.
01:22:32Oh, I am that.
01:22:33Oh, yeah, you're the absolute best.
01:22:34I'm a sycophant.
01:22:35We're all David Beckett sycophants here.
01:22:38I have no problem admitting that one.
01:22:39It's sick because it says sycophants.
01:22:40I'm like, yo, check out this snow globe.
01:22:42Dana goes narcissist.
01:22:43Check out this really cool snow globe, guys.
01:22:46All right, we love you guys.
01:22:47Have a great weekend.
01:22:48More Wake Up coming up Monday.
01:22:49Jingle bells.
01:22:50Jingle bells.
01:22:52Jingle bells.
01:22:53Narcissist?
01:22:54Let's thank you.
