New Zealand have the advantage after two days of the second Test against West Indies in Wellington.

Resuming on 24 for no loss, the Black Caps were dismissed for 278, to lead by 73 runs.

Batting a second time, West Indies closed on a shaky 32 for 2, to trail by 41 runs.

00:08Captain Tom Latham was bowled by Kemal Roach for 11 and it was 36 for 1.
00:12Overnight batsmen Devon Conway and Kane Williamson put on 67 for the second wicket.
00:17Williamson received a peach of a delivery from Anderson Phillip and was bowled for 37.
00:22Then Roach took his second by removing Rechan Ravindra for 5.
00:26He was followed by Conway who fell for 6th there with Justin Graves getting a wicket himself.
00:31Michael Hay on Test debut was batting with aplomb.
00:37Hay was out for 61 with OJ Shields picking up the scab.
00:44But Phillip was the best of the lot with 3 wickets.
00:49And Jaden Shields got the last one with the injured Blair Tickner absent hurt.
