The West Indies batters, led by Amir Jangoo, put up a strong fight on day two of the opening Test against Sri Lanka.

Resuming without a run on the board, the Windies closed on 271 for 5, with Jangoo unbeaten on 78, that being his maiden 50, and skipper Roston Chase 42 not out, which sees them still 37 behind.
