00:00We're back! We're back!
00:02So, new town, new mystery.
00:04That's right. Absolutely.
00:06Allison is new to Beacon Heights.
00:08She is.
00:09Is there a deeper reason why she's there?
00:12Absolutely, and to be honest, I don't even know all of it.
00:16You definitely start to understand. It's a mystery that's still being unfolded.
00:20Absolutely, but it's so worth it to be invested in it because it is very interesting.
00:25And part of the reason is Mona, of course.
00:28But, of course, she doesn't understand the full mystery behind it as well.
00:32It's a really fun mystery that I think is going to take some time to dole out,
00:35which is what's exciting about it.
00:37It's worth it, but also this is the first murder in Beacon Heights.
00:41And it's like a seemingly perfect town.
00:43Yeah, yeah.
00:44But that's what makes it creepy, exactly.
00:47Darkness follows Allison everywhere she goes, yes.
00:50What can you say about Allison and Mona's dynamic?
00:53Are they frenemies, allies?
00:55It's interesting, I think you see, this is what's fun, right?
00:57I think fans are excited to finally see Ally and Mona scenes.
01:01Yeah.
01:01Because from the few that we've had in life, we've been enemies.
01:05Yeah.
01:05Straight two frenemies.
01:07And now you get to really see them form a friendship.
01:10Yeah, they start to rely on each other.
01:11They both need each other, and I think they both start to like each other.
01:15Yeah.
01:16Which I think neither of them were really expecting.
01:18And they end up with a very sweet, very truthful friendship.
01:21Although I do love our slap scenes.
01:23I do love it.
01:24Yeah, you might get one.
01:25Yeah, you might, yeah.
01:26Yeah, they are fun.
01:28There is a murder mystery at the heart of this, I guess.
01:31Can we expect like an A-type figure on this show?
01:33Possibly.
01:35We'll see.
01:35Might be PTSD for these two.
01:37I know, right?
01:38A is buried, but some of the tactics aren't.
01:43I'm looking at.
01:43I think the general theme of the show is still very much like somebody watching, somebody
01:48knows your secrets, watch your back.
01:51And in that way, it is very much, again, in the vein of A, but not necessarily A.
01:57Right.
01:58Yeah.
01:58Different agendas, different reasons.
01:59Which you're just going to have to watch and see.
02:01Absolutely.
02:02And it's interesting.
02:03Will, Alice and Mona have been through so much.
02:06Yes.
02:07Will these past sort of continue to haunt them?
02:09Will we sort of see that impact in the perfectionists?
02:12Yeah, and I think you almost see it immediately with Allison.
02:14She's very confused, because her whole reason for going to Beacon Heights is for a fresh start,
02:18and to prove that she can be a better person, and she's not her old self.
02:23And almost immediately, some of her past is exposed, and she doesn't like it.
02:31Yeah.
02:32I think they both have some PTSD, and for Mona, I think she's so badly trying to like fight
02:37the person that she was, you know, how addicted she was to the dark side, and being in charge,
02:41and being this kind of puppet master.
02:42And she's like, no.
02:44You know, I'm going to try this different life.
02:47And she is always kind of tempted by the dark side.
02:50Yeah.
02:51So you'll see her kind of fall off a little bit, and then Allison comes in and kind of
02:54tries to help her.
02:55And it's a sweet friendship.
02:56Okay.
02:57Bring you back to life.
02:58Yeah.
02:59When I fall down the rabbit hole.
03:00Like, hey, come back.
03:01I need you.
03:02Okay, let me get you.
03:03And you two are coming from Pretty Little Liars.
03:06When fans found out that Emily wasn't going to be a part of the show, they were a little
03:10panicked.
03:11What would you...
03:12I understand.
03:13How would you describe their relationship status?
03:14Well, I mean, Emily and the babies are completely on Allison's mind all the time.
03:19And I think, you know, Marlene knows what she's doing.
03:24And you can't always please everybody.
03:26And the realistic side is people are busy.
03:28But honestly, I think she's handling it in the perfect way.
03:33The dust is settling with A. You know, that's not a thing anymore.
03:36And they're adults.
03:37And they have this family.
03:38And they're trying to figure out who they are as people.
03:42And, you know, a lot has happened.
03:44And Allison's done a lot of bad things.
03:46And she's hurt Emily in a lot of ways in the past.
03:49And I think a lot of it's based on trust.
03:51And so she's trying to get her masters and trying to become a professor.
03:56And at the same time, she's teaching.
03:57But her whole reason is so that she can get back to her family and make a better life for
04:02them.
04:03But, you know, it doesn't always work out that way.
04:05And we'll see how that unfolds.
04:06Any romance potential for Mona?
04:08That's a possibility.
04:10I think what's fun about Mona that you're starting to see, you know, is that she, with the help
04:14of Allison, realizes, you know, she can't always just be a lone wolf.
04:18She has to let people in sometimes.
04:19If she wants to have a happy, full life.
04:21And that starts with friendships, with our friendship.
04:23But it also could be something with a relationship, you know.
04:26I mean, she found love once before with Mike.
04:30And I don't think she's really opened herself up to that possibility again.
04:33So Allison kind of says to her, like, you know, you should just try to put yourself out there a little bit more.
04:37Like, let people in.
04:38I'm a little harsher than that.
04:39I'm like, hey, can you connect with the real people?
04:40Yeah, pretty much.
04:41You're right.
04:42I was sugarcoating it.
04:43You're kind of mean about that.
04:44Okay.
04:45I am kind of mean about that.
04:46But the little push helps Mona to kind of put herself out there.
04:48And you might see a little spark.
04:49We'll see.
04:50It could be fun.
04:51I think she deserves it.
04:52I'm just kidding.
04:53She totally deserves it.
