00:00Harold Landry, you got any info on him?
00:02So he's managing the knee.
00:05This goes back to week six with Kyrus Tonga.
00:10Kyrus Tonga was defending a running play, dove, and landed on...
00:14It looked far worse than it ended up being for Harold Landry.
00:17Is this just maintenance?
00:19Veteran getting the rest that they want him to be closer to 100%?
00:23I believe that to be the case.
00:25I could be wrong, Beatle.
00:26I talked to Harold Landry leading into the last game before the bye,
00:32and he had mentioned, like, it's the NFL.
00:35You got to play through this stuff.
00:38But he said he wishes he didn't have to deal with the nagging...
00:41He called it nagging, you know, the nagging knee injury.
00:45And if I recall, the Patriots, Mike Vrabel's been shouting out their content team
00:50when Vrabel shaking hands with players coming back to the locker room after the win right
00:57before the bye, I think he said to Harold Landry something like,
01:01we're going to get you back, meaning, like, this break.
01:04And I'll go back and try to listen to that at the break so I make sure I'm not misrepresenting it.
01:09But we're going to get you back.
01:10Like, the idea of, we're going to give you this little break to try to get you,
01:14after the bye, you know, back up and running.
01:17And it's hard, you know...
01:18I did rest him in practice, too.
01:19Like, do what he's doing.
01:20He's a veteran.
01:21So, with veterans who do that...
01:23And that's what he's been doing.
01:24That's good.
01:24And Harold had said that, Beatle.
01:26Like, he had said, Vrabels has...
01:28Going back to Tennessee, he's always...
01:29He said, Vrabels has always done a good job knowing how to manage, you know...
01:34I think that's, like, one of Mike's best qualities, is that the relationship with his players that he's learned from, like,
01:40hey, this is what I'd do different if I become the head coach.
01:43This is how I would take care of guys.
01:44Because you don't need the tyrant yelling at you, hey, you don't practice, you don't play.
01:47That's right.
01:48You know, you get to a certain point as a veteran, and you know what the guy can do, what his max is.
01:53What's going to serve you better?
01:54Making sure that he's well-rested, or that you went out there and broke his balls for three days of practice,
01:59and he's going to be 10% less.
02:01And it is a different approach than we've been used to.
02:04And I think there's different ways to do it.
02:06I think some coaches look at it and say, well, I need that guy out there, because if we don't practice it,
02:12how can I have the highest degree of confidence that when we put it into action in the game,
02:17that it's going to work the way we want it to work?
02:20Where I think, in my view, Mike Rabel approaches it a little differently.
02:24He says, you know, I'm going to put my faith that we can make that happen,
02:29because the player's going to feel better about themselves based on the way we manage their personal situation relative to their health.
02:37And I think that's all that we're going to do it.
02:38Here we go.
02:39Here we go.
02:39Here we go.
