00:00Are the Patriots the number two team in the AFC behind the Kansas City Chiefs?
00:05Wow, firing right out of the...
00:07Yeah, let's get to it.
00:07Answer it.
00:09No.
00:10No.
00:10Add to the list.
00:11No, the Chiefs are...
00:12Put Brer on that list.
00:14I mean, I just think, like, I think the first month of the season, like, honestly,
00:18like, and I look at, like, the Ravens, right?
00:21Look at their schedule.
00:23There's a very good chance on Thanksgiving night they're playing against the Bengals
00:26and they're 6-5.
00:27I just think it's, like, the way the NFL is now, I mean, people were burying the Chiefs
00:35three or four weeks ago, and I told everybody that you were going to look stupid if you did
00:39that, and everybody looks stupid now.
00:41Patrick Mahomes is probably the MVP of the league.
00:44He just got his best skill player back.
00:47So, like, I think these things evolve over time, and I think it's tough to make real sweeping
00:52judgments.
00:52I'd still, if you're talking about contender, like, if we're not basing it on, like, who's
00:58playing the best right now, like, who will be the best in January, I still think the teams
01:04that are most capable of challenging the Chiefs who've won the AFC three years in a row are
01:09Buffalo and Baltimore, you know?
01:11I mean, I just think that is what it is.
01:13I think Denver's in that, I think Denver is closer.
01:18I think Denver's really well-balanced, and they're good at pretty much everything, and
01:25I think you saw it at the end of that Giants game, and we've seen the guts that they have
01:28now and how tough they are.
01:30We can argue about the quarterback if you want.
01:32We haven't seen, like, the Chargers.
01:33I don't think he's that great.
01:35Well, no, but I mean, like, I think that they're really good.
01:37Like, even if you take the quarterback.
01:39Oh, I understand what you're saying for them.
01:40Like, they're really good all the way around.
01:41Like, their defense, they might have the best defense in football.
01:44No, they get the right play caller in Peyton to where you get him in play action and some
01:47remote, you know, get him on a perimeter, and he's throwing some.
01:49And he's, and he makes big, I mean, he made big throws in that Giants game.
01:52One down left he did, yeah.
01:53Like, there was the one down the middle of Mims that got them out from, like, way backed up,
01:58being way backed up in their territory, where he threw it to, like, he anticipated it,
02:02and there was a hole in the zone, and he put it there.
02:04And, like, Mims sat down and wound up picking up 29 yards, and then recognizing man coverage
02:11and going to Sutton on the outside, like, they, I'd say Nix does some stuff.
02:16And I understand what you're saying, though, with some of the physical limitations.
02:19Yeah, like, Drake, at times, is carrying this team and elevating guys around him.
02:23Nix isn't doing that, but Nix is functioning well within Peyton's system.
02:26Nix does some stuff where it's, like, when you hear about, like, what actually happened
02:29on the play, you're like, it's, like, pretty high-level stuff, you know?
02:33Oh, he played enough ball in college.
02:34Yep.
02:35Yeah, he did.
02:35Played a ton of football in college.
02:38So, yeah, I think it's a big jumbled mess in the AFC.
02:43And we still, I think we're still kind of at a point where there are eight or nine teams
02:50that are in there as teams that could at least advance in the playoffs.
02:53And I don't think that all those teams are true contenders, but, you know,
02:58I think you're one of those eight or nine teams.
02:59And we'll take this one.
03:00Yes.
03:01So, yeah.
