00:03I think it is something that happens early in a new coach's regime.

00:08It happens when you have a team that's not overly talented.

00:11And they outplayed the Steelers yesterday.

00:14And I look at that as a positive.

00:16Because I don't think they're making the playoffs this year.

00:19So wins and losses don't mean a ton to me right now.

00:25It's basically how the team is coming together.

00:28And I think Drake may, despite the turnovers, which I expect to happen for a young quarterback,

00:33looks like a legit kid that could be a top 10 quarterback in the league.

00:38It's certainly not now.

00:39But looks like he could be a top 10 quarterback in the league.

00:42And that's a lottery gift, you know?

00:45I really think two things can be true, Fred.

00:48Because I agree with everything you said.

00:50At the same time, when they hired Mike Rabel as the coach,

00:54one of the things that I believe would be true is that this team would be more buttoned up.

01:00Fewer penalties.

01:02And I'm talking about the penalties that aren't judgment calls,

01:05like some of those PI calls that you can be like, really?

01:08But more like jumping off sides.

01:10And really, the fundamentals of turnovers, you know, making good decisions.

01:18And maybe it's still early, so I have to acknowledge that.

01:22But I am a little surprised that they're not a little more buttoned up under Rabel at this point.

01:28Okay.

01:28So what I will tell you with that is, I agree.

01:31And it's three games in.

01:33I think Rabel should cut Stevenson because I think that that makes a very –

01:38I don't think, A, you need him this season.

01:41I don't think he's irreplaceable.

01:43And you are making – and every good game you have, 100-yard game,

01:48two-touchdown game you have is completely eliminated by turning the ball over two times.

01:53So I'd rather have the guy have 50 yards in a touchdown than 100 yards in two touchdowns

02:00if he's going to fumble the ball twice.

02:03I mean, the most important thing you can do is not fumble.

02:06And I think if you cut Stevenson, then you're sending a message.

02:09He's not your guy.

02:10You didn't draft him.

02:11You didn't give him the extension.

02:12You cut him, and that sends a message, and that gets things buttoned up pretty quick.

02:18That's my opinion, but what are you going to do?

02:19And I love that you're going to that extreme.

02:23And honestly, I think people listening might agree with you.

02:26I think the one thing just to be careful of is reacting on emotion.

02:30What you can do is what they did yesterday, which was only put him out on the field

02:34for a couple snaps after the miscue to send a message and then try to build him back up

02:41because if you cut him, then you only have Antonio Gibson and Travion Henderson

02:45probably promoting Terrell Jennings from the practice squad.

02:50You might have made your team less talented by doing that

02:53instead of trying to work through and coach up a problem.
