00:00Everyone after a show would be so sweaty and you'd be like peeling them off like leggings
00:03So like fans will bring us things and they've loved to bring us crystals on this tour. No shorts on stage
00:08It's too damn hot out there. So we're breaking the rules
00:30Hey everybody, I'm Tyler Williams from the Head and the Heart. We're here in Chicago for the Aputure tour
00:43We put our new record out back in May and we're excited to bring it to the people and today
00:50I'm going to be showing you some of the clothes I wear on stage some of the other things that keep me happy on the road
00:55Let's dive into it. This has been probably my favorite shirt
01:00to wear on stage currently
01:02It's a Madewell shirt and it's knit which kind of breathes a little bit because I play drums so
01:10Get sweaty out there. Got to get some cool air in
01:13This one's been great. Looks fantastic on stage. Maybe a little gold chain rocking right here around the neck, you know
01:20And I'll pair those
01:23I'll pair that shirt with
01:24these corduroy shorts which I've been hanging up to dry
01:29The aforementioned sweat on stage
01:32You know, they also double as clothes dryers when you're on the road
01:35So I usually have
01:39A little bit
01:42Of a rule
01:44And it might be an unwritten rule for a lot of bands out there, but no shorts on stage
01:48It's too done. It's too damn hot out there. So we're breaking the rules
01:53Shorts on stage
01:55If only for the drummers, okay, don't no guitar players need to be wearing shorts on stage
02:00These are also Madewell
02:02Yeah, and they're super comfortable and they stretch and they're perfect for drumming
02:08Then I've got one of my favorite brands right now is Todd Snyder
02:14I've got this knit as well. I don't know for some reason it's the summer of knits
02:19And this one is just super light
02:22Just breathes airy
02:24Drapes really well
02:26So, you know, the couple beers that I had the night before won't show up too much on the belly on this one
02:32It's perfect
02:34I'm also in the Todd Snyder world
02:38I've got this Todd Snyder
02:41Champion
02:42Collaboration sweatshirt
02:44Short sleeve
02:45And this has been
02:47This has been probably my favorite piece to drum in because it
02:51You ever have those clothes where you like feel like a superhero in them
02:55And they just make you look good
02:56And you're confident
02:58And I always feel like that's what I try to
03:01Take out on stage
03:03Something that makes me feel larger than life
03:05Here, yeah, this is a cool label

03:13He's doing good work

03:19Virginia, where I live
03:21We've got this really great menswear shop
03:24It's called Olm

03:31It's just a basic shirt

03:36Probably on the east coast
03:37Honestly

03:48They just opened for us
03:50For probably about ten shows or so

03:55Their merch line was sick
03:56They've got the ringer tees
03:57They've got the five-sided hats
04:00Like everything about them
04:02Fashion dialed
04:03And I want to know where they buy their pants
04:05So Marfa, if you're watching
04:07Hit a brother up

04:11This is usually where I kind of keep like
04:14Maybe dirty clothes
04:15You know
04:16Because we can't do laundry every day
04:18So this is
04:19It's almost like my closet

04:21It's nice to have a little laundry hamper here
04:23We also get a lot of stuff
04:25Made by fans for us
04:27So like fans will bring us things
04:30And they've loved to bring us crystals on this tour
04:33We get little like
04:36Like this is the album cover
04:37Somebody made a little like
04:38Thing and then wrote us
04:41A little bit on the back
04:43So
04:43Always try to keep like fan mementos in there
04:46And they just kind of make you feel good
04:47As you're getting ready for the day
04:48And help you walk on stage
04:50With a little more confidence
04:51And then speaking of like
04:53This is
04:53This thing's never charged up
04:55But
04:56For a minute there
04:57We were actually like
04:59Using these overnight
05:00When the
05:01Wardrobes were in our trailers
05:03Traveling with us to the next show
05:05We actually have these like
05:06Blasting air on them
05:07So
05:07Maybe the clothes would dry a little bit better

05:10I don't know anyone who
05:11Keeps them charged
05:12But they still exist
05:14They're in there
05:15Then down here

05:22He's a hilarious comedian
05:24He's been to a bunch of our shows
05:26And we've had him on stage
05:27At Red Rocks with us
05:28Just a great human
05:30So pick up his book
05:31If you feel like it

05:36But it becomes fashion
05:37Because it's wearable
05:38Sometimes I get like
05:39Blisters on my hands
05:40From playing shows
05:41Feel like I drum
05:43Pretty intensely

06:45It was like a battle
06:46Of who could find
06:46The skinniest jeans
06:47And everyone after a show
06:49Would be so sweaty
06:49And you'd be like
06:50Peeling them off
06:51Like leggings
06:51So it's a lot nicer
