00:00it's doing around 200 yards an hour right now so we can go higher possibly let's leave her where
00:14she is for now Parker's happy with where it is so what happened to the young and wild Tyson I
00:19used to know he's dead I'm gonna go talk to Parker well happy with the plant don't want
00:28the runs Washington I would prioritize the bridge cut okay next weekend I've got a new guy showing up
00:37pick me out somebody to fire so just cut your worst one out want to give me a list of names of who it
00:47can be no because then you're gonna latch on to the options and I don't want to give you options
00:51all right okay don't be afraid to just tell people to take a walk okay
00:57Tyson he's got something to prove this season giving him a lot more responsibility has been
01:08good because he takes that very seriously and very personally you want to have as few people
01:15doing as much work as possible you pretty much told me that someone's got to go by the end of
01:21the week I've never fired anyone before we got to figure out who's gonna make it and who's not
01:27right now we have a lot going on here at Dominion we have Bob running the bridge cut we have
01:50Lucifer running the Golden Mile one month into the season Parker Schnabel's foreman Tyson Lee has his
01:59hands full to hit a 10,000 ounce season gold Parker's pushing Tyson to mine as much gold as possible on his
02:09Dominion Creek claim normally it's been moved that wash plant get it set up have a month to breathe this
02:17year it's moved that wash plant get it set up move to the next get that wash plant set up get it running
02:22move to the next and somewhere in between there I have to find the time to go through all these
02:28operators and one of them isn't gonna make the cut letting someone go getting rid of someone it's not a
02:36decision I'm taking lightly you know they could have come up here like myself 10 years ago hoping to
02:41be up here for years and years to come just a decade ago Tyson arrived in the Yukon pretty green at the
02:51mining aspect of things Parker saw something special in the rookie minor I'm letting Tyson runs Lucifer see
03:00what he's got and hopefully this doesn't fight either of us in the ass let's get her going and gave him
03:05a chance to step up to the plate nice job thanks man back when I first started for Parker and up
03:15until now I've seen this company go through a lot of gross a lot of changes every year I get thrown more
03:22and more and this year more than ever Parker said find your weakest operator send one of them packing so
03:28right now we have Charlie up top who's doing fine and coarse tailings then we have Michael down below
03:34who's loading trucks two new truck drivers there's Lauren and Julian and then upstream we have
03:39Caden loading Mary and who the is with Mary it's a lot of new people men over at the bridge cut
03:49new loader operator Charlie Carlton is struggling to clear tailings from wash plant Bob Charlie seems to
04:01be having issues with his loader overheating he doesn't understand when to curl hopefully it's nothing
04:09too crazy yo yo hey so how's it going I let it go down a few more degrees it's up 107 now so that is
04:20caused by two different issues you always want to have the tires moving when you're going in for a scoop watch
04:29me scoop the zero resistance against the machine if you're going in for a scoop like this see how
04:37much the machine is struggling it's making that number of climb another thing that does it is riding the
04:44brake so if you're riding around like this that number is going to climb those are the two reasons
04:52why your rear axle oil temp is rising and then what is a safe temperature to start running again I think
04:59it got to about 120 122 it really shouldn't get over a hundred yeah 122 is on all right thank you no worries
05:10so I'll pay attention to both those things more next times newbie learning curve I guess
05:20stuff that's common sense hey the tires aren't moving it's overheating I wonder why
05:31this year I do not have time for that we've hired some experienced guys because we need some experience
05:39Charlie's experience level does not match what I was told he had when we hired him
05:52concerned with Charlie's performance Tyson tasks operator Sandy Dubois with keeping an eye on him
05:59so how did you get the job here I used to work as a software developer and systems engineer and I'd spend my
06:08days in front of computers and I was just sick of it I'm like man I need to get out get into gold mining
06:13and get out in the wilderness
06:15I don't really know what to say man oh what's he doing I'm hoping to be able to get him to go a bit
06:24faster because he's gonna have to take care of this on his own you're not always gonna get the best bucket but you need more than a
06:33problem hey Charles you gotta copy Charles
06:36hey Sandy
06:40if we're not utilizing our whole bucket it's kind of just like waste of fuel and a waste of time
06:46I can see that your bucket's not fully curled in making a mess over the road so just make sure your
07:04bucket's curled all the way up okay I'll do that next
07:07because yeah at this point I can't leave him alone it would not work out he'd fall behind
07:14if that plant washes out then we're not gonna have a happy Parker and that's what I'm trying to avoid
07:19right now and he's starting to slowly get it one bucket at a time yeah that looks a lot better
07:27Tyson and Parker leave no stone unturned
07:33they have to train up some people that they can be confident we'll get every last drop of gold out of this cut
07:40in the golden mile new hire Caden Foote digs out pockets of pay from a section of the cut
07:50I'm a very driven motivated person I also like to think of myself as a little bit of a perfectionist
08:01I like to do things right the first time and I don't like to come back and do them again
08:05we have a lot of new people and a couple of them are struggling here Caden's one of them
08:15yo yo how's it going pretty good yourself oh you know just fighting water
08:28the ditch needs to be lowered and then you're into pay here into pay rate here
08:34lower the ditch then you can carry on with what you're doing okay does that make sense
08:39yep that makes sense any questions comments concerns like I can jump in there for you and
08:43you can watch me for five minutes if you want up to you I don't want to take up more of your time
08:47than necessary no it's all good I just want to make sure what I'm saying is what you're understanding
08:53and the best way to do that is for you to sit and watch me for five minutes
08:56Sheriff come on
08:57so far so good just have a few little things I need to get adjusted to
09:05right now I'm trying to show Caden how to go about ditching
09:12he seems to be struggling with a lot of water flowing down
09:15what we need to do is get that water under control
09:19Tyson's making the ditch around the cut deeper and digging channels to funnel water from the center
09:27cut down to the ditch exposing the pay dirt beneath
09:31hey Caden come take a look at this because I can see there's still pay out here right
09:41makes me wonder what else is under this water right and you see just just listen for a sec you
09:50see that gravel seam there right there yeah so there's that's pay right kind of I'll point you
09:56down as I'm going with the cut full of water Caden's leaving behind pockets of pay potentially costing
10:05Parker thousands of dollars in lost gold biggest thing of all is to get the water out
10:11and and if you've got a drain running right beside where the water needs to go
10:18then you can see what's there and what needs to be dug out because it's only been a few minutes and
10:23he's got that drain in 100 percent and we'll be off to the races yes ma'am
10:37you have to go over every inch of it right because if you didn't do it how do you know it's
10:41done okay thank you thank you for your time I really appreciate that no worries have fun
10:46I'll see you in a bit come on let's go
10:52hopefully he gets it now Caden he's thinking he understands more than he does
10:58I would agree with that yeah maybe come in a little cocky you know a little hot
11:02god help us if Parker came in there and decided to dig there
11:05and found that we were burying pay pockets yeah no he wouldn't be a happy camper no
11:18this year we showed up early we were flusing most miners weren't even here yet and we had a pretty
11:37decent payday already so no complaints there whatsoever it was kind of like early bird gets
11:42the worm while we sure got us at indian river king of the klondike tony beats is off to a strong start
11:53so far his early bird cut has banked over 1 000 ounces of gold of his 6 500 ounce target
12:01tony wants to keep up the pace and is on a mission to sluice 24-7
12:11right now we're ripping this piece of frost out of here i don't want to
12:14light i just want to make sure that you can just start sluicing day and night
12:20yeah tony seems to have a little bit of a rocket up his ass he is getting older but he is not tired yet
12:26cousin mike is running tony's only working money maker sluice a lot feeding it 250 yards of pay dirt
12:35an hour and eating through ground faster than tony can open it up i just need more equipment because
12:44they're going to be stripping day and night and then that opens up the whole world behind us you see
12:50to increase his indian river stripping power tony's on the hunt for a dozer an excavator and three more rock
12:58trucks i just got an email this morning saying that it was a dozer for sale so we're going to go over
13:08check this out you never have enough toys the guy that dies with the most of toys wins i'm well on my way
13:17to have a whole pile okay well let's go have a look connor even second hand a d10 dozer could set tony
13:33back more than one million dollars those are all good yeah so he's brought along trusted mechanic
13:41connor elms don't hurt yourself to assess it paint looks nice what are you doing
13:56what are you doing there's a man spying on your stuff to keep his indian river operation running
14:0424 7. tony beats is hunting for another dozer how's it going burger good how are you same every day huh
14:15what are you doing he said you had a cat for sale
14:19what you want to buy this thing well he said you want to get rid of it maybe i haven't decided yet i
14:24was like put some feelers out but i'm a little hesitant to sell it right now because we're in
14:29we'd use it this summer but for you tony i knew i knew that was coming i knew it was coming you know
14:39you got to help the guys out that are struggling right oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah we're
14:43struggling every day there you go well name your price what do you want um one five
14:54one three
15:03that's the end of season price
15:08no no no no no okay one three you're at one three um probably not so then make a counter
15:17okay let me think about it one two well one five no no no why not it's worth it all day long tony no
15:29no no no no no but do you want to do something very quick no i don't really care that much you
15:36want to do it really quick no no yeah i'm in no rush me neither so yeah i know
15:42say if you want to do something quick let me know okay okay we'll talk let me know see you dude
15:51you bet do it later good to see you guys later no
16:00it's quite simple there's no buddies or friends in business if so you would never make it
16:06well you have a prize in mind you should stick to it we'll just find something else
16:11how do you say rome wasn't built in a day
16:19it's been a tough start to the season i did a classic rick move and i made a quick decision and
16:34bought uh this ground down at lightning creek people that know me know i don't have a whole lot
16:39of patience we gotta hope the gold's there and uh we're gonna go soon
16:44rick ness has gone all in on his biggest gamble yet
16:52after his water license on duncan creek expired rick's thrown down seven hundred thousand dollars
16:59for the lightning creek claim with no idea how much gold is in the ground
17:05it's a hell of a gamble i made this purchase based off of like a two-yard test probably more
17:14like a yard and a half you know one pan with you know a few grams not even a gram of golden
17:21it probably is one of the crazier things i've ever done you know what i'm stubborn like that i want
17:27to do things my way and that's just how it's going to be at the end of the day if i know the gold's
17:31there we just got to make a payoff if rick hits a hot spot on the notoriously unpredictable keno ground
17:40it could mean a massive payday
17:45rick loves taking big risks is it smart i don't know yet obviously time will tell but uh
17:51we we all support him i think this whole crew is big risk takers and you know that's why we're here for
17:56him i mean you can make a plan and it sounds good it looks good on paper but it's definitely a finger
18:04cross moment now it's time to find out if rick's bet will pay off we are down to pay now it actually
18:12went really quick the guys did a great job they stuck with me and now they're seeing paid already
18:17so i'm gonna get to lightning creek get the guys together get a plan to get rocky set up and get on
18:21the damn gold to start sluicing rick just needs to move wash plant rocky into place
18:34look good down here boys we're gonna set up sluicing eh yeah yeah i mean there's not a whole
18:38lot of space to deal with right here we're all set up i'll drag it backward then the only thing i'm
18:42worried about is it's a real narrow area the creek on one side and kind of a bank on that side
18:46i'm gonna have to hug the creek to get this you know that sluice box past that bank otherwise it's
18:51dragging it all bent out of shape so it's gonna have to have everybody on you know on both sides
18:56both banks just yelling and screaming at me not to hit anything and it should be good
19:04rick's crew has already removed the two acre diamond cuts shallow overburden and 15 feet of pay
19:12to make a stockpile ready to run now he wants to pull his 32 foot wide 25 ton wash plant rocky from
19:23its current home 300 feet along a narrow and winding track using his 750 excavator avoiding a bank on one
19:33side and the creek on the other then drag it into position near his pay pile
19:40and finally fire it up
19:48i just need eyes around me yeah yeah eyes around right the hills have eyes yeah well this is it start
20:04frozen i mean it's been sitting all winter in ice
20:07this just turns into concrete all those fines oh that's it right there oh oh that's what we needed
20:16look at that look at that nothing broke no one got hurt no
20:20it's important for us to get this wash plant up and running
20:35a lot of money going out and without gold coming in it hurts so we have to get gold coming in right away
20:48so all we can do down is drag it into place set it up and see what happens
21:03we have kyle on that side and kai both beating my eyes on that sluice box because i can't see behind me
21:07i'm gonna hug this side by the river hope not hope we don't dump it in the drink and here we go
21:21lots of room lots of room lots of room
21:27go that side
21:28go that side
21:35go that way
21:37go that way
21:39go that way
21:41What? You're getting a little close.
21:43Rick, you're getting a little close.
21:45Dang.
21:46Oh!
21:47Oh!
21:49Oh!
21:50Oh!
21:54You're getting a little close, Jack.
21:57Oh!
21:57Oh!
21:59Oh!
22:00Oh!
22:03Did I hit?
22:05I can't see that side, so I really f***ed that up.
22:07At Lightning Creek, Rick and his crew are fighting to get Wash Plant Rocky up and running by the end of the day.
22:16Yeah, it's got to go that way. Let me see if I can do that.
22:21Yeah, keep going that way.
22:27We got two things. You don't want to bend the sluice boxes and you don't want to put it in the river because we don't have another one.
22:37We're close. We're close.
22:44Oh, yeah!
22:55Yeah!
22:57Whoa, whoa, whoa.
23:02Are you unhooked?
23:03Yeah.
23:04Looks like it.
23:05Should we just stop overthinking it and plug this in and see what happens?
23:07Yeah.
23:13Ugh.
23:14Just getting a water line set.
23:18Are we ready, you think?
23:19I think so.
23:19Put some water in this thing?
23:20Yeah.
23:24There it goes.
23:25Oh, oh, oh!
23:26That's what I'm talking about.
23:27Wow!
23:30Well, we got water.
23:34That's what I'm talking about.
23:38He's running, boys.
23:39He's running.
23:43All right.
23:44That's good.
23:45Whoo!
23:46Whoo!
23:53Hey, Rick.
23:54Yeah, it's going to wash off pretty bad right there.
23:57Other side?
23:58Yeah.
24:04It's just going to wash it out, you know?
24:07The bank's eroding way too fast.
24:09It's already creeping back towards the plant.
24:13There's too much fines and not enough big rock.
24:15Yeah.
24:16It's just all topsoil.
24:20Dude, hey, hey!
24:21Shut it off!
24:22Shut it off!
24:23It's already gone too far.
24:25I mean, you can honestly look at this and say, if we ran it 10 more minutes, it's going
24:33to go.
24:35We haven't even put any dirt in it yet, right?
24:36And the whole bank's trying to wash away.
24:38But we're going to have to yank this thing out of here and build it out, build it up with
24:42rock.
24:44It's going to take some days.
24:46It just sucks, man.
24:47We've been spending money since I got here and nothing's coming in.
24:51We've still got 1,800 ounces to get.
24:53Bottom line is we're not solution today.
25:10Things are going real nice here at Sulphur.
25:12I'm really happy with how this project has gone.
25:17We've seen some really good gold come out of here and I feel good about it.
25:22Foreman Mitch Blaschke is on the gold, running wash plant rock sand at full tilt.
25:29We've got a busy week ahead of us here, keeping rock sand running.
25:33You know, these gold prices are high and profit is what it's all about.
25:4225 miles east at Dominion.
25:45Parker's asked me to find the weakest link and get him out of here.
25:48So I'm going to try and figure that out because my deadline's due.
25:53Tyson is back to check in on recent hire Caden and see how he's doing cleaning out pockets of leftover pay.
26:02Hi.
26:04Hi.
26:05You having fun?
26:06Yes.
26:08Getting there.
26:09But I might have to do a little more ditching.
26:13I'll go clean it up.
26:14All this trapped water back here, right?
26:17I'll kind of cut a little trough here.
26:19Because then all this stuff can drain.
26:21Wet pay, as you know, doesn't like going up conveyors.
26:24No, belts do not like wet material.
26:27And this is f***ing soup.
26:28Yeah.
26:29And we can make it so it's not soup.
26:31So we've got to get the water out.
26:32Yeah.
26:33Because if we dug with that trapped water, it would come this way.
26:36All that yellow s*** would end up back down here.
26:39Which is where we don't want it.
26:40That's what we're after, right?
26:41We're after that yellow s***.
26:42It's worth something for some weird reason.
26:44I'm just watching what you're doing so I can mimic it in my own work.
26:49Yeah.
26:50Yeah, pretty much.
26:51I think Tyson will feel that I'm really trying my best to do what he wants and get it right the first time.
27:00We need to get this material out of here and we need it to happen now.
27:04My goal is to get Caden spelt out on the way we do things here.
27:10The main thing is just getting the water out, letting it so it can drain.
27:14You can see how the water is draining towards the ditch now because it's sloped.
27:18So you can see kind of what I'm doing here, right?
27:22Yeah, sloping the edge, leveling it out.
27:25Well, not leveling but giving it a slope so water can run down into the trench.
27:31But yeah, have fun.
27:33I will try my absolute best to make you proud.
27:36Yeah.
27:43He explained it the way we like it done, but there's zero execution.
27:48We have operators here who said they had lots of experience and when they got here, it didn't show.
27:54So are one of those people going to be the ones to leave?
27:57Maybe, maybe not.
27:58Is it going to be due to poor attitude?
28:00Maybe, maybe not.
28:01Not a decision I take lightly, but these people were hired to do a job and if they can't do that job, we'll find someone else.
28:09No issues with the temperature, I'm fine.
28:16Over at the bridge cut, loader operator Charlie is still on tailings.
28:22I'm starting to feel a little more comfortable.
28:24It's a little less chaotic.
28:31I don't see much of Tyson.
28:32He's so busy.
28:33Maybe that's a good thing that I don't see him much.
28:36Trust me, if I was doing a bad job, I'm sure I would hear more from him though.
28:40Can you hear me?
28:41Yeah.
28:42Want to walk down?
28:45Okay.
28:51Ah, my helmet.
28:52No, there's no panic Charlie.
28:54There's no need to run.
28:56We're all good.
28:57Okay.
29:04How's he going Charlie?
29:05Pretty good.
29:07Sorry, can I ask you a question?
29:09Yeah.
29:10Do I have a minute?
29:11Yeah.
29:12So, the part that you told me before, I did not realize that the...
29:16So, we've got to talk then.
29:17Go ahead.
29:18I'm training.
29:19Yeah, go ahead.
29:20You can keep going.
29:21No, I'm listening.
29:22Now that I understand that the tailings is what's most important to us now.
29:26Well, everything's most important, right?
29:28Feeding the plant's important.
29:29Yeah, yeah.
29:30Getting tailings is important.
29:31Everything's important and that's why we have multiple people doing different jobs.
29:35For you, that's making sure this wash plant doesn't bury itself.
29:39Okay.
29:40Awesome.
29:43You all set, Charlie?
29:45Okay, thanks.
29:46Okay, jump in.
29:47I gotta go.
29:50He came with 20 years experience is what I was told.
29:53If I have to do that with him, then we're .
29:56Tyson, this year, has a lot of responsibility.
30:05So, I thought I'd just run down and see how he's doing.
30:08How he's getting along with his crew.
30:10He takes his job very, very seriously.
30:13If he's having any problems, we need to remedy those right off the bat.
30:17T-Bird.
30:18Yo, yo.
30:19Hey, T.
30:20Hey, Dumit.
30:21How's it going?
30:22Good.
30:23How about you?
30:24Oh, pretty good, thanks.
30:25You surviving so far, huh?
30:26Yeah.
30:27So far, so good.
30:28Parker said by the end of the week he wants someone's name on the board to chop because he's got another operator coming.
30:38You know Parker better than anybody when he gives a deadline.
30:41So now I'm trying to figure out, okay, the guy over there in the excavator, is he helping me or hurting me?
30:47Or is he not cleaning the pay properly?
30:50And then I have to tell him two, three times to go in when I could have gotten his, what he could get done in three days, what I could get done in one.
30:55One of my favorite sayings, I would have been done by now, but I had help.
30:59Yeah.
31:00Right.
31:01Exactly.
31:02Maybe you can help me, you know, figure out if I'm making the right decision.
31:05If they aren't doing the job, they don't understand the job, you're going to fight with him all season long.
31:11Now's the time to sort those people out.
31:13Yeah.
31:14You're aware of that.
31:15Every promotion, every step up you've taken, you've earned.
31:20Thanks, Dumit.
31:21So make a decision and stick with it.
31:24Start surrounding yourself with good people.
31:27Okay, you take care, buddy.
31:28You're doing a great job.
31:29Thanks, Dumit.
31:30Proud of you, son.
31:32Later.
31:35You know, Dumit just came down to the cut to check on me and see how I'm doing.
31:39I got some good insight from him.
31:41I've reached a decision on who's going to be let go.
31:45I'm going to have to let the first person go of the season.
32:00At Dominion Creek, it's time for Tyson to send someone home.
32:05You know, this is a new role to me.
32:06I've never fired anyone before.
32:08But I have a lot of people that deserve my time.
32:11And I'm spending it on people that should have experience.
32:14So enough is enough.
32:15Yo, yo.
32:16Things aren't really working out, man.
32:17I'm going to have to let you go.
32:18Okay.
32:19Yeah.
32:20It's just you let on to have more experience than you have.
32:21So I only have so much of my time that I can spend training people.
32:22Okay.
32:23So, yeah.
32:24If you want to grab your stuff, we'll just shut this loader off.
32:26Okay.
32:27Oh, man.
32:28Oh.
32:29Oh, man.
32:30Oh, man.
32:31Oh, man.
32:32Oh, man.
32:33You're going to have to keep it.
32:34Sorry.
32:35Oh, man.
32:36How do you want to?
32:37Oh, man.
32:38Oh, man.
32:40Oh, man.
32:41What's that?
32:42What's that?
32:43Oh, man.
32:44Oh, man.
32:45Oh, man.
32:46Oh, man.
32:47Oh, man.
32:48Oh, man.
32:49Oh, man.
32:50We'll just shut this loader off.
33:04I gave it a try.
33:06I guess it was harder than I expected it would be, to be honest.
33:11You know, Parker asked me to find someone to let go,
33:15and we've done that.
33:18When we're hiring experienced operators, we need experience.
33:22Or, sadly, they're going to have to go down the road.
33:2525 miles west at Sulphur Creek, Caden has survived,
33:31but been demoted to loader operator.
33:35Right now, Parker doesn't have enough guys to run loader.
33:40I'm not sure if Tyson had anything to do with me coming out here,
33:44but it ain't my fault that Tyson's not around to give me guidance.
33:48Hopefully, I can go back to dig and pay,
33:51because that's my happy place in my big sandbox.
33:59We don't have time for people to be not good at their job.
34:03We only have so much time up here in the Yukon to get as much gold out of the ground as we can.
34:10I just care I'm getting the cuts stripped and ready,
34:26because then I have lots of pay ready for when I do start sluicing.
34:29But what I need is to get my trommel set up.
34:32At Paradise Hill, Mike Beetz is trying to prove himself to his dad, Tony,
34:38in the hope that one day he'll get his own ground.
34:41But so far, he hasn't sluiced an ounce of gold.
34:46I've got to get my pump set up.
34:48I've got to get a bunch of welding and clean up,
34:50and then set up all the conveyors.
34:52And then I'm also going to have to put in my hopper and everything.
35:00Hey, how's it going?
35:03I don't even know.
35:04Probably three days by the time I'm all said and done.
35:07Okay.
35:09I'd love to sluice my pay paws,
35:11but we fight the trommel every step of the way.
35:15Every step of the way.
35:17It's kind of frustrating.
35:19I want to move things along in the end.
35:22I just need more equipment,
35:24because they're going to be stripping day and night.
35:26So let's pick it up.
35:29Tony's on the hunt for more equipment
35:32to increase his gold haul from the Indian River claims.
35:36There ain't another thing happening here.
35:39If there's dry wind down and with everybody.
35:49I'm going to steal some people.
35:50I'm going to steal some trucks.
35:51I'm going to steal a dozer.
35:56Hey, Dad.
35:58Hey, Mike.
35:59I'm going to steal some trucks of you.
36:00I'm going to steal a hoe of you.
36:02I need Keith to get a weld something.
36:05So I need him for a week or so to give me a boost.
36:08Am I going to get him back?
36:09Yeah, you're going to get him back.
36:11But in the meantime,
36:12I'm going to steal some of your bingo.
36:14Put the bobcat on the back, OK?
36:29Holy .
36:31It's not his stuff.
36:32It's my stuff.
36:33So I might as well utilize it
36:35where we're making the money right now.
36:37If you don't like it, guess what?
36:39It sucks to be him.
36:41If you try to take all my people
36:43and then all my ,
36:44and then expect me to still run the hill,
36:46you might as well take me too.
36:47And we all work out there.
36:52There you go.
36:58OK, who's in that rock truck?
36:59Hurry the up.
37:02Rock trucks follow west.
37:03Rock trucks follow west.
37:04Let's go, go, go, go.
37:06After raiding his son's operation,
37:08Tony's heading 40 miles to Indian River.
37:12We're running a shipping department,
37:13not a mine site.
37:14I got a D10 going to the Indian River right now.
37:15So what the am I supposed to do?
37:18Because as much as he says I'm in charge,
37:19he's still the boss.
37:20The big, big boss.
37:21The big, big boss.
37:22Might as well walk there, you know what I'm saying?
37:53A bit faster down there.
37:56They're going to be stripping day and night with more trucks.
37:59They just need a little boost.
38:00This needs a little boost.
38:02Tony can now take the Indian River operation up a level.
38:06And start running 24-7.
38:09But he's leaving Mike short on equipment and crew.
38:14He ain't getting them back.
38:15There's no friends and family in business.
38:18Absolutely not.
38:19No, no, no, no.
38:21Tough luck.
38:22Good thing is everything is here.
38:40Everything in one piece.
38:42Perfect.
38:43I don't give a fuck if Mike is annoyed.
38:46I mean this is where the money is being made.
38:48So I suggest that this is where we start paying attention.
38:51On the end of the day, it's my call.
38:58With a crew down there day and night,
39:00close 24 hours a day.
39:01I like to stay ahead of the game.
39:03And this is what that takes.
39:07This worked out just right, I think.
39:18You want to get out of here?
39:19Let's go.
39:20No, but yeah.
39:21Yeah, I know.
39:23At Lightning Creek,
39:24Wash Plant Rocky is still not sluicing.
39:27And Rick is still not getting gold.
39:30And now, his friend Z is headed home.
39:34We're going straight to the airport.
39:36I mean, it sucks going home this early.
39:38I mean, usually when I'm up here,
39:39we at least have the plant going and seeing some gold.
39:41I'm sorry you can't see some gold too,
39:43but I'm not good at planting a stays.
39:45Right?
39:46Let's just be honest.
39:47Yeah.
39:48Not your strongest suit.
39:50I know.
39:52Do you think there's 1,800 ounces in this ground?
39:55I think there is.
39:56I don't think.
39:57Would I be a lot more comfortable getting it
39:59out of Vegas Valley?
40:01Absolutely.
40:02You're not going to go home with any gold right now,
40:05but if you can make her back in the fall.
40:07Yeah.
40:08Different story, buddy.
40:09Hi, guys.
40:22Hello.
40:23Well, look at Tony.
40:24There's a whole bunch of them.
40:25Spilling coffee everywhere.
40:27Tony is about to find out if his push to run 24-7
40:32at Indian River has paid off.
40:35So how's it going out there?
40:37Pretty good.
40:38The plan has been going steady.
40:40We just got to stay ahead, do some more stripping
40:42and early bird cuts.
40:43More equipment, some more doses maybe, some more crap.
40:46How's Paradise Hill going, Mike?
40:48Everything keeps coming to a screeching halt.
40:50I'm losing a bunch of equipment and a bunch of people.
40:52Well, maybe you should time down.
40:54This is how it works.
40:56You guys always got to remember I'm number one.
40:58So I would like to go back to work, young lady.
41:02So why don't you put some gold on that scale, would you please?
41:05How many hours did we get on this?
41:07All week, right?
41:08Are you ready?
41:09Last week, before Tony started running 24-7, Slusalot delivered 250 ounces.
41:19It's 100, 120, 180, 250, 300, 350, 370.
41:33400.
41:344.52 ounces.
41:37Worth over $1.4 million.
41:41Nothing wrong with that.
41:43Hi.
41:44So how much is that roughly an hour?
41:46It's 2.9 ounces an hour-ish.
41:48Well, a little bit over two is not bad.
41:51Yeah, it was amazing.
41:53I drilled that cut 20 years ago and there was only one good hole in it.
41:57That's why you never mind it.
41:59And it wasn't even that good.
42:01It's funny how that can pay off, isn't it?
42:04Anyway, that's all pretty good.
42:05I'll take it any time, any day.
42:07Yeah.
42:08It'd be nice if we have two boxes going.
42:10Can you imagine?
42:11That'd be a good day.
42:12Only a month into the season, Tony Slusalot has pulled in 1,400.
42:171,430 ounces, banking him $5 million.
42:23Okay.
42:24Talk to you later.
42:25Yep.
42:26Bye.
42:29That's doing pretty nice, huh?
42:31Yeah, that looked pretty good.
42:32But the way that is going these days, so far so good.
42:47That was a busy week.
42:50You must have been busy, Chris.
42:52Very busy.
42:53What's up, Tice?
42:54Heard you had some weak links kicking around.
42:56Yeah, well, Parker wanted one of them to go, so I had to let Charlie go.
43:00He said he had more experience than he had when he came here, so just had to pull the plug there.
43:06Too bad, because he was a nice guy.
43:07He was really nice.
43:08He was really trying, but yeah, he just kind of oversold, I guess.
43:13This is definitely jumping off the deep end.
43:15Yeah, for sure.
43:16When I was driving him back, he was like, I thought it would be a lot easier than this.
43:21For the first time this season, Parker has been running three wash plants all week and is hoping to blast past last week's 527-ounce haul.
43:33First up, Roxanne at Sulphur.
43:39Well, I hope you had fun with Roxanne here.
43:42Roxanne?
43:43Yeah.
43:44Come on.
43:45Roxanne's a little bit unique, Mitch.
43:46Why's that?
43:47Because I didn't have a thermos big enough, my scale doesn't go high enough.
43:52So, this is Roxanne.
43:55Starting off with a full pan there.
43:58Alright, we got 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 right on the dot?
44:12Right on the dot, but we got to move this aside.
44:15Because we have a thermos coming, too.
44:19Wow.
44:20Now, what's crazy, it's doing 150 yards an hour right now, too.
44:23That's what I was just thinking about.
44:25So, we got 300 plus, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50.70.
44:40That's a 350.7.
44:43Worth one and a quarter million dollars.
44:47Holy.
44:48That is sick.
44:49At 150 yards an hour.
44:51At three ounces per 100 yards sluiced,
44:55Sulphur is some of the richest ground Parker has ever mined.
44:59Clean up like this.
45:01Make my job fun.
45:03Now, it's Tyson's turn.
45:06Yeah.
45:07You want to take a look at what you got?
45:08Let's see.
45:09First up, Bob from Dominion's Bridge Cut.
45:13Bob been running pretty consistent lately.
45:16Good old Bob.
45:17Chuggaluck Bob, right?
45:19Here we go.
45:2010, 20, 40, 80, 100, 120, 160.
45:28We're going to beat two.
45:30195.
45:31Not quite.
45:32196.2.
45:33Yeah.
45:34Yeah.
45:35And then just up the creek from that,
45:39Slucifer's got the big thermos, too.
45:42All righty.
45:43Here we go.
45:44Slucifer's been running all week at the Golden Mile.
45:48Here we go.
45:49This is Slucifer, buddy.
45:50Here we go.
45:5120, 40, 80, 100, 150.
45:59Oh, there's 200, 220, 240.
46:03Keeps coming, doing it.
46:05260, 1.25.
46:07The Golden Mile is living up to its name,
46:11and Tyson's two wash plants have banked Parker
46:15another 1.6 million dollars.
46:20Last week, we had 527.5 ounces.
46:25This week, we have 808.15 ounces in one week.
46:32To give you an idea what's going on,
46:35this time last year, we had 288 ounces.
46:41We now have 2,043.5 ounces.
46:46Worth 7.1 million dollars.
46:51Which we did over a third of this week.
46:54Yeah.
46:55Oh.
46:56Man, if it's like that all the way through,
46:58it's going to be great.
47:00So we just need to do that 10 more times.
47:02Yeah.
47:03Yeah.
47:04And then, like, some more times after that.
47:08It's 2.5 million dollars sitting there.
47:12Can you do that thing where it's like,
47:13you get a pan, you get a pan, you get a pan?
47:15That's wild.
47:20That's crazy.
47:21That used to be like what we would spend
47:22in an entire season.
47:24Yeah.
47:25Wow.
47:27Impressive.
47:28Mesmerizing looking at that much gold, eh?
47:30Yeah.
47:31Get out of here.
47:32You're going to start.
47:33You're going to come to my bedroom
47:34with a gun here soon.
47:35You get an airplane.
47:36You get an airplane.
47:37Good job, guys.
47:39Genuinely, that's insane.
47:42Oh, man.
47:45Get this.
47:46Make sure this ends up in the safe.
47:48All of it?
47:49Okay.
47:50We'll do that.
47:55We'll do that.
47:56We'll do that.
47:57We'll do that again.
47:58All right.
47:59Go.
48:00See you next time.
48:01Go to our church.
48:02Go to our church.
48:03With our church.
48:04Go to farm to save us.
48:05Go to the church.
48:06Go to the church.
48:07Go to food TJs.
48:08Go to the church.
48:09Go to farm to
