Punjab’s Moga district hosted a one-of-a-kind “Vella Championship” — a competition where participants had to sit still for hours without phones, talking, sleeping, or even getting up.
00:00This is MOCA's wildest competition, the Vela competition, meaning doing nothing at all.
00:05It was sitting, yes, just sitting, and that too without phones, without talking, without sleeping, without standing, not even for the washroom.
00:16Welcome to MOCA's Do Nothing Challenge.
00:19It kicked off with 55 brave warriors, kids, youngsters, women, even grandparents, all ready to prove that they can live without their phones.
00:28Food delivered to their spot. Water also delivered. Washroom denied.
00:33This marathon of boredom lasted 32 hours straight.
00:36The final showdown came down to the last two participants.
00:39Both sat for 32 hours.
00:41As joint winners, each received a bicycle and 3500 rupees.
00:45The goal of this competition was to encourage people to step away from their mobile phones and experience peace, focus, and uninterrupted time away from digital distractions.
