00:00with Lane Kiffin inevitably deciding to leave Mississippi to take the job at LSU for a heck
00:07of a lot more money. Definitely went into it a little bit with the media yesterday,
00:11so we finally realized some of the decision-making process, which seems to be a very polarizing
00:17topic right now, Bill, in college football. I'm wondering your opinion on this. Do you think
00:21that Kiffin handled himself in the right way? A lot of people say yes, some people say no.
00:27Did he do the right thing here, leaving Mississippi for LSU, a place where, of course, they fire their
00:32head coach for four years? What do you make of this entire situation? Well, I see both sides,
00:38and I'm trying to be political about it. Now, if Lane Kiffin wants to go to LSU, who are we to tell
00:44him what to do with his life, right? I mean, it is a great opportunity. Three coaches have won national
00:50titles there this century. The only other school that's done that is Ohio State. He'll have
00:56a ton of resources, recruiting ability, and a better shot, honestly, to win a national title
01:02at LSU than he would at Ole Miss. Is the way he left, Lane Kiffin, circus style, what we come
01:08to expect? Yes. Does it hurt the players in that locker room? Absolutely. Ole Miss had a magical
01:14season. I understand all that, but in an era where players can go in and out of the portal during the
01:20playoff, coaches can too. This is part of the ugly business. I get that. I mean, Greg, I think you
01:26backed this up, knowing the SEC, that he could have gone to USC and maybe coached or something,
01:33but you can't go from one school to the other in the SEC and coach in the playoff during signing
01:37day. You just can't.
