But I wonder if it's a sign that the Bible is pointing to. That there's going to be this change which is going to affect the ecology of the world in the last days. And I believe we have to realize that this is part of what's happening in our time in our world. Another thing which you notice is that many of these countries which I've mentioned are actually countries which are provoking God in some way. Particularly Iran, its Islamist police state oppressing the people, its weapons against Israel, persecuting the Christians. China with its communist police state oppressing the people, persecuting the Christians, and supporting Antichrist dictatorships around the world. Russia with its Putin style police state pursuing war against Ukraine, suppressing true Christians with a corrupt mafia regime. 00:00:00Storms coming in the world, and God's love is the anchor.

00:00:05Let's read some verses which Jesus spoke about in the last days in Luke 21.

00:00:13When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.

00:00:18Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart,

00:00:22let not those who are in the country enter her.

00:00:24These are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

00:00:29But woe to those who are pregnant, those who are nursing babies in those days.

00:00:32There will be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

00:00:35They will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations.

00:00:39And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

00:00:45There will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars, and on the earth distress of nations with perplexity.

00:00:51The sea and the waves roaring, men's hearts fading them from fear,

00:00:54and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth.

00:00:56For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

00:00:59They will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

00:01:03Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

00:01:08Praise the Lord, Jesus is coming.

00:01:11He said there will be a fall of Jerusalem, which happened 40 years after he gave this prophecy on the Mount of Olives.

00:01:19Jewish people will be scattered, Jerusalem will be trodden down, ruled by the Gentiles,

00:01:22until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

00:01:25Something is going to happen in the end of days, which will focus world attention on Jerusalem and upon Israel.

00:01:32And I believe we're living in a privileged generation, we're seeing those things happening.

00:01:36He also said at the same time, you're going to see what he described here as the distress of nations with perplexity.

00:01:41In the Greek, the word for with perplexity is aperea, which means with no way out.

00:01:47So we're going to see a situation in the world which nations are going to be perplexed by a crisis coming,

00:01:51which they have no solution for.

00:01:54And as a result of this, people are going to be afraid of what's coming on the earth.

00:01:57I think that's pretty much what's happening now.

00:02:01And those are two of the things we're going to look at tonight,

00:02:04looking at the issue of things happening in Israel, the Middle East, Jerusalem,

00:02:08and also the distress of nations in the world today.

00:02:13So praise the Lord.

00:02:14Let's just have a word of prayer.

00:02:15Lord, I pray you help me to give this talk and guide me and lead us into all truth, we pray in Jesus' name.

00:02:21We have to understand that the situation in Israel is in line with Bible prophecy

00:02:28and also the situation in the world.

00:02:31When you have that understanding, it can be a little bit scary

00:02:34because the things which the Bible says are going to happen in these days

00:02:37are not exactly peaceful and calm and nice.

00:02:40There are some pretty bad things happening.

00:02:43Jesus spoke about a time of trouble unlike any that's been before or ever shall be.

00:02:47But if you're a Christian, if you believe the Bible, you have a great hope

00:02:51because into all this, Jesus is going to come and he has the solution.

00:02:55And if I didn't believe this, I think I would be either just cop out and forget it all

00:03:01or I'd be in total despair because frankly, nobody has an answer

00:03:05and they're not getting anywhere near to it.

00:03:09But Jesus is coming and he has the answer.

00:03:11And we're going to look at one or two situations.

00:03:13We're going to start off with the thing which we looked at last time,

00:03:17the peace plan of Donald Trump

00:03:19and certain developments have taken an interesting course in this matter.

00:03:25We did look last time at the Trump peace plan when I did this talk

00:03:28which has resulted in the return of the hostages from Gaza, which is good,

00:03:35and a kind of ceasefire which has taken place.

00:03:40And Donald Trump actually held it as a new dawn for the Middle East

00:03:43when he gave a speech at the Knesset and he said,

00:03:46the sun rises on a holy land that is finally at peace,

00:03:49a land and a region that will live, God willing, in peace for all eternity.

00:03:53This is not only the end of war, this is the end of an age of terror and death

00:03:57and the beginning of the age of faith and hope and of God.

00:04:00It's the start of a grand concord and lasting harmony for Israel

00:04:04and all the nations of what will soon be a truly magnificent region.

00:04:08I believe that so strongly.

00:04:10This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East.

00:04:14So it sounds good.

00:04:15A historic dawn of peace, justice, etc., etc.

00:04:19And I don't doubt that Donald Trump actually has some good intentions.

00:04:26He wants to make peace, wants to stop the killing, which is good.

00:04:30Unfortunately, in the process, there can be a lot of deception

00:04:33and a lot of false peace which the Bible indicates will happen at the end of days.

00:04:38And some of these boys who are sitting around here from the Middle East

00:04:41may be saying, yeah, we'll sign on to the document,

00:04:44but they don't really mean it in their hearts

00:04:45because what they want is not peace with Israel

00:04:49but a peace of Israel and literally the whole of Israel

00:04:52and the elimination of Israel.

00:04:55And the Bible does tell us that when the Jewish people go back to the land of Israel,

00:04:58they're going to be surrounded by enemies

00:04:59and one of the things they're going to say is that they're to make an end of Israel

00:05:05and to bring in an end of the state of Israel.

00:05:10And the situation is going to actually focus on Jerusalem.

00:05:15And there's going to be a time of wars and time of troubles, the Bible says that.

00:05:19It's going to culminate in the war of Gog and Magog, according to Ezekiel 38,

00:05:23Armageddon, according to the New Testament.

00:05:26And as the nations come against Israel, so it's going to prepare the way for Jesus to come back.

00:05:30And according to the Scriptures, the Messiah is going to stand on the Mount of Olives

00:05:34at a time of great conflict over Israel and the Middle East.

00:05:37And then he is really going to bring in a new dawn,

00:05:40and a historic dawn of real peace, not just for Israel, but for the whole world.

00:05:44And that's why we, as believers in the Bible, can have a hope

00:05:49in the midst of all these situations which are going on in the world today.

00:05:54Now, somewhere along the line, which we looked at last time,

00:05:58the Bible indicates there is going to be a kind of a temporary peace,

00:06:02a covenant, which will offer peace, but it won't really bring peace.

00:06:07And there's a very amazing prophecy in the book of Daniel.

00:06:10I've spoken about this several times, but just to remind you,

00:06:14in the book of Daniel, there is a time frame which Daniel is given

00:06:17concerning events which are going to take place after the return of the Jews from Babylon,

00:06:22which happened about 400 or so, 480 years before Christ,

00:06:28leading up to the coming of the Messiah.

00:06:30And in this prophecy, he actually has a very specific prophecy concerning Messiah.

00:06:37Verse, chapter 9, verse 26 of Daniel, it says,

00:06:40After 62 weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for himself.

00:06:43And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.

00:06:47The end of it shall be with a flood until the end of the war.

00:06:50Desolations are determined.

00:06:53That prophecy uses the Hebrew word Mashiach.

00:06:55It says,

00:06:57The Messiah will be cut off, not for himself,

00:07:02in other words, not for his own sins, but for others.

00:07:06It says that after this, then the people of the prince to come

00:07:09is going to come and destroy the city and the sanctuary.

00:07:11The city is Jerusalem, the sanctuary is the temple.

00:07:14If you know your history, you may know that Jesus came as the Messiah.

00:07:18He died a violent death, not for his own sins,

00:07:21but for the sins of others in order that he might redeem us,

00:07:23because he didn't have any sins.

00:07:24He was the one upon whom the Lord laid the iniquity of us all.

00:07:27He died, he was buried, he rose again from the dead,

00:07:30he appeared to the disciples for 40 days,

00:07:31he ascended into heaven,

00:07:33and sent the disciples out to preach the gospel.

00:07:36Forty years later, there was a rebellion by the Jews against the Romans,

00:07:39and it was put down with great brutality by the Roman Empire,

00:07:43and Jerusalem itself was surrounded by enemies and then destroyed,

00:07:48and the temple itself was destroyed,

00:07:49and began the time of the desolations of Jerusalem

00:07:54and the dispersion of Jewish people around the world.

00:07:58And that time has gone on until our time,

00:08:01and in our time we have been a unique generation

00:08:03to see the return of the Jewish people to the land of Israel,

00:08:05and also the return of Jerusalem to Jewish control since 1967.

00:08:11That set up a situation which corresponds with the book of Zechariah,

00:08:15where it says that in the last days Jerusalem is going to be what he called

00:08:18a burdensome stone burdening all nations.

00:08:21It means actually that the nations of the world

00:08:23are going to be focused on what's taking place in Jerusalem.

00:08:26It's going to be the subject of world attention.

00:08:29And you can see that that is the situation today,

00:08:32that the organization representing all nations,

00:08:35the United Nations,

00:08:35passes more resolutions on Jerusalem and Israel

00:08:38than any other situation in the world today.

00:08:41Prophecy then goes on to describe an event

00:08:45which is, according to my understanding,

00:08:47going to take place many years later.

00:08:50It speaks about,

00:08:51He shall confirm a covenant with many for one week.

00:08:54In the middle of the week,

00:08:55He will bring an end to sacrifice,

00:08:57an offering on the wing of abomination

00:08:59shall be one who makes desolate,

00:09:01even until the consummation which is determined

00:09:03is poured out on the desolate.

00:09:06Very interesting prophecy, quite a complex one.

00:09:09I won't go into it in detail,

00:09:10but it speaks about someone who's going to come

00:09:11and make a covenant,

00:09:13some kind of an agreement.

00:09:15He actually doesn't say he's going to make it,

00:09:16he's going to confirm it.

00:09:17That's the point I'll bring out in a moment.

00:09:20He's going to make,

00:09:21this covenant will be confirmed,

00:09:22it will be confirmed for a period of seven years.

00:09:25In the middle of that seven year period,

00:09:26something's going to happen to break it

00:09:28and it will lead to an abomination of desolation,

00:09:31something causing desolation,

00:09:33which will then lead to,

00:09:34finally, the consummation,

00:09:35the end which is determined,

00:09:37which will be poured out

00:09:38on the one who makes desolate.

00:09:40Daniel goes on to describe

00:09:41what the consummation is going to be

00:09:43in chapter 12,

00:09:45when he describes the time of trouble

00:09:47at the end of days

00:09:48and points forward to the event

00:09:50which the other prophets speak about,

00:09:51the coming of the Lord,

00:09:52the coming of the Messiah.

00:09:54And from the Jewish point of view,

00:09:56that's the first coming of Messiah.

00:09:57From the Christian point of view,

00:09:59that is the second coming of the Messiah.

00:10:01And from the Messianic Jewish point of view,

00:10:02that's also the second coming of the Messiah

00:10:04because he's been once to suffer,

00:10:06to die for our sins.

00:10:07He's coming again the second time

00:10:08to take up his rule and reign from Jerusalem.

00:10:12Now, the indication of this passage in Daniel

00:10:15is that there's going to be

00:10:16some sort of a covenant made.

00:10:18It's going to involve many,

00:10:20in other words, many nations.

00:10:22There's going to be a lot of people

00:10:23involved in this covenant.

00:10:25It's going to begin a seven-year plan.

00:10:28The word for one week there

00:10:29is a period of seven years.

00:10:31It's going to be headed by the prince to come.

00:10:33Now, that's the last person mentioned

00:10:35in chapter 20, verse 26,

00:10:38where it says,

00:10:38he shall confirm a covenant

00:10:42with many for one week.

00:10:44So we have to ask the question,

00:10:45who is he?

00:10:48Now, some Christians say he is the Messiah

00:10:50making the covenant the new covenant,

00:10:52which doesn't actually make much sense

00:10:53with the text.

00:10:55If you take the interpretation I have,

00:10:57he is actually the last person mentioned

00:10:58who is the prince to come.

00:11:00So who's the prince to come?

00:11:01Well, Daniel has a lot of prophecies

00:11:04about a one who lines up

00:11:05with the Antichrist

00:11:07or the beast of Revelation chapter 13.

00:11:10As passages relating to that

00:11:12in chapter 7, chapter 9, chapter 11 of Daniel,

00:11:16all speaking about some person of great power,

00:11:19some ruler who is going to come

00:11:20at the end of days,

00:11:21who will be possibly promising peace,

00:11:25but actually bringing, in the end,

00:11:27the opposite.

00:11:29So someone is going to come,

00:11:30and he's going to be a ruler.

00:11:34He's also the prince of the,

00:11:36the people of the prince to come

00:11:38are the ones who put down the temple.

00:11:41So we've got some connection

00:11:42with the people who put down,

00:11:44who destroyed the temple in the year 70.

00:11:47So who were the people who were responsible

00:11:48for the destruction of the temple?

00:11:51Who were they?

00:11:52The Romans.

00:11:54Okay, so some connection with Rome.

00:11:55Now, it's interesting that Rome,

00:12:00by the time of,

00:12:01in the time of Jesus,

00:12:02it had one capital,

00:12:05which was Rome.

00:12:06Later times,

00:12:07actually had two capitals.

00:12:08In fact, we've already,

00:12:09someone's haven't mentioned it,

00:12:10of Istanbul.

00:12:12Istanbul, in the time,

00:12:13was called Constantinopolis,

00:12:15which was the Greek name

00:12:17for Constantinople,

00:12:20as we call it,

00:12:21which was the capital

00:12:22of the eastern side

00:12:23of the Roman Empire.

00:12:25So you have West Rome,

00:12:27you have East Rome.

00:12:28And some scholars say

00:12:29that the troops

00:12:30who were actually attacking Jerusalem

00:12:33at that time

00:12:33were most likely taken

00:12:34from the eastern side

00:12:35of the Roman Empire.

00:12:36So they could have been recruited

00:12:37from that side.

00:12:38So although it is the Romans,

00:12:40you could say it was also

00:12:41the people of living

00:12:42in the eastern side.

00:12:44Now, if you know your history,

00:12:45what happened in the western side

00:12:46of the Roman Empire,

00:12:47it became Europe,

00:12:49as we know it,

00:12:50dominated by Roman Catholicism.

00:12:51So you had Roman Catholicism

00:12:53and Western Christianity.

00:12:55Eastern side,

00:12:56you had, first of all,

00:12:57Eastern Christianity,

00:12:58Greek Orthodox,

00:12:59Russian Orthodox,

00:13:00in the eastern side.

00:13:01Taken over in 1492,

00:13:04I think it was,

00:13:04by the Turks,

00:13:05who then made it

00:13:06into Istanbul

00:13:08instead of Constantinopolis.

00:13:11Praise the Lord.

00:13:12Just an aside,

00:13:13I remember when I was

00:13:13hitchhiking around Europe

00:13:14in my youth,

00:13:16we were going through

00:13:16the northern part of Greece

00:13:17and we came near to a place

00:13:19called Alexandropolis.

00:13:20We were on the way

00:13:21to Istanbul

00:13:22and a Greek truck driver

00:13:23picked us up

00:13:24and he asked us,

00:13:25where are you going?

00:13:26I said,

00:13:27we're going for Istanbul.

00:13:28He said,

00:13:28Istanbul, no,

00:13:29Constantinopolis.

00:13:32So he put me right

00:13:33on that one.

00:13:34But the Greeks

00:13:34saw that as part

00:13:36of their empire,

00:13:36which it was.

00:13:37And it was Greek speaking

00:13:38and it was part

00:13:40of the Greek Orthodox Church,

00:13:41which then became Islamic.

00:13:43So I just tell that story

00:13:44because it reminds you

00:13:45of the history.

00:13:46There is a history

00:13:46in that place

00:13:47which shifted

00:13:48from being nominal Christian,

00:13:51Byzantine Christian,

00:13:52Eastern Orthodox Christian

00:13:53to becoming Islamic.

00:13:55And this is kind of interesting

00:13:56because you have now

00:13:57two forces

00:13:58which are working

00:13:58on this peace program.

00:14:01You have the Western one,

00:14:02European,

00:14:03and in a sense,

00:14:04America came out of Europe.

00:14:05So you have America,

00:14:07Europe plus America.

00:14:09And you have

00:14:09the Eastern Muslim

00:14:11part of the world

00:14:12with Turkey involved,

00:14:14with the Arab countries involved.

00:14:17So you've got

00:14:17the East and the West

00:14:19coming together

00:14:19and involved

00:14:21in the peace program.

00:14:24Out of this

00:14:25is going to come

00:14:25the Prince to Come.

00:14:27Now the debate

00:14:27whether it's going to be

00:14:28a Pope or a Muslim

00:14:30or somebody else coming up,

00:14:31I'm not going to tell you

00:14:32who it is

00:14:32because I don't know.

00:14:33But someone's going to come

00:14:34out of this process

00:14:35who's going to be a ruler

00:14:36who's going to create power.

00:14:38Now going back to the

00:14:39Trump peace plan

00:14:41in Daniel 9.27

00:14:42When this event happens,

00:14:47when the final confirmation

00:14:49of it takes place,

00:14:50it will unlock

00:14:51a whole lot of other things

00:14:52taking place in prophecy.

00:14:53That's why people

00:14:54are interested in it.

00:14:56According to,

00:14:57if you take a pre-tribulation

00:14:58view of the rapture,

00:14:59then the rapture

00:15:00is going to come

00:15:00round about the time

00:15:01of either just before

00:15:03or just after

00:15:04the signing of this peace treaty.

00:15:06So when you see people

00:15:07on the way to it,

00:15:07it's going to be a sign

00:15:08of the imminence

00:15:09of the rapture of the church.

00:15:11That's a big story

00:15:12which I'm not going to

00:15:12go into in detail.

00:15:14If you take the other view,

00:15:15the post-tribulation view,

00:15:17as well as actually

00:15:17the pre-tribulation view,

00:15:18it says that this

00:15:19is going to set off

00:15:20the seven-year period

00:15:21which will lead

00:15:22to the time

00:15:22of the great tribulation.

00:15:24So when you see

00:15:25this thing actually happening,

00:15:26it's going to be

00:15:27a very big milestone

00:15:28in prophecy.

00:15:29That's why

00:15:30we take an interest in it.

00:15:31Now,

00:15:34it will lead,

00:15:35as far as Israel

00:15:36is concerned,

00:15:37also to a covenant

00:15:39which turns out

00:15:39to be a covenant

00:15:40with death.

00:15:42Isaiah 28 says

00:15:43that this is not

00:15:43going to end up well.

00:15:45They promise peace

00:15:46but it will not bring peace.

00:15:47It will bring a time

00:15:47of unparalleled trouble

00:15:49as we read about

00:15:50in Jeremiah chapter 30,

00:15:52the time of Jacob's trouble

00:15:53which will then lead

00:15:55to the return of the Messiah

00:15:56who is Yeshua

00:15:56coming back again

00:15:58to bring real

00:15:59and final peace

00:16:00to the world

00:16:00and peace to Jerusalem

00:16:01and peace to Israel.

00:16:04And he'll come back

00:16:05to save Israel actually.

00:16:07Now,

00:16:07we're not yet

00:16:07at this point.

00:16:09That's why I'm saying

00:16:10that sort of preamble this.

00:16:12We're not at the point

00:16:13of this taking place

00:16:14because the Trump Treaty

00:16:17has just put up

00:16:19a few ideas

00:16:20and a program

00:16:21but it's not actually

00:16:23anywhere near

00:16:25the fulfillment

00:16:25of this covenant.

00:16:26There are a lot of things

00:16:27that have to happen first.

00:16:29It has to be ratified

00:16:30by the one

00:16:31who's going to be

00:16:32the Antichrist

00:16:32and I don't think

00:16:33it's Trump

00:16:33so we're still waiting

00:16:35for the one to come

00:16:36and to ratify

00:16:37the peace treaty.

00:16:38It has to have

00:16:39a seven-year dimension

00:16:40and it has to deal

00:16:41with the issue

00:16:42of Jerusalem.

00:16:43It has to come

00:16:44to come kind of

00:16:45conclusion

00:16:45which is going to change

00:16:46or seal

00:16:47the status of Jerusalem.

00:16:50So we don't see

00:16:51it yet happening

00:16:52but we do see

00:16:52something being set in motion

00:16:54and it's interesting

00:16:56that the word

00:16:57which is used

00:16:57about

00:16:58he shall confirm

00:17:00a covenant

00:17:02is significant

00:17:04because the word

00:17:05is not

00:17:05he shall make

00:17:05a covenant

00:17:06he won't create it

00:17:08he's going to confirm

00:17:09something which is

00:17:09already there.

00:17:11So some prophecy

00:17:12teachers are saying

00:17:13that this is actually

00:17:14the beginning of it

00:17:16it's a kind of embryo

00:17:17it's not there yet

00:17:18but it has all the elements

00:17:20which are going to lead

00:17:20to the final one

00:17:21and when the man

00:17:22comes along

00:17:22who is the Antichrist

00:17:24and the right time

00:17:24comes he's going

00:17:25to confirm

00:17:26the basics

00:17:27of this particular

00:17:28treaty

00:17:29he's going to agree

00:17:30to it.

00:17:32If that's the case

00:17:33something did happen

00:17:34which was interesting

00:17:35this month

00:17:36because this month

00:17:36this agreement

00:17:38was adopted

00:17:39by the UN Security Council

00:17:40so does that matter?

00:17:46Now I read an article

00:17:48here which was

00:17:48I got off

00:17:49the Prophecy Newswatch

00:17:50website

00:17:51said

00:17:52what began

00:17:52as a US-led

00:17:53peace proposal

00:17:54has now been

00:17:54elevated into

00:17:55a global plan

00:17:56the world's top

00:17:58governing body

00:17:58the UN Security Council

00:17:59has publicly embraced it

00:18:01transforming it

00:18:02from a multinational

00:18:03multi-power initiative

00:18:04that will be overseen

00:18:06by a new

00:18:06approved

00:18:07Board of Peace

00:18:08as things stand

00:18:09this board will be

00:18:10chaired by Donald Trump

00:18:11but beyond that

00:18:12its members

00:18:12remain unknown

00:18:13what we do know

00:18:15is that Trump

00:18:15has already suggested

00:18:16it be composed

00:18:17of some very powerful people

00:18:19it will oversee

00:18:21reconstruction

00:18:21demilitarization

00:18:22and long-term

00:18:23security of Gaza

00:18:24it will guide the region

00:18:26towards what many

00:18:27leaders hope

00:18:28will become

00:18:28a Palestinian

00:18:29Arab state

00:18:30alongside the

00:18:31Jewish state

00:18:32of Israel

00:18:32this will involve

00:18:34some settlement

00:18:35of the issue

00:18:35concerning Jerusalem

00:18:36now that is

00:18:38very significant

00:18:39because Jerusalem

00:18:40is going to be

00:18:41the burdensome stone

00:18:41burdening all nations

00:18:43and the UN

00:18:44represents all nations

00:18:45so now it's been

00:18:46adopted by the UN

00:18:47so there's another stage

00:18:48in the development

00:18:49of it

00:18:50this means it's no longer

00:18:52a regional project

00:18:53it's no longer

00:18:53an American project

00:18:54it's now a global project

00:18:56it's now got the UN

00:18:57seal of approval

00:18:58so reading again

00:19:01from the prophecy

00:19:02article it says

00:19:04when scripture speaks

00:19:05of a covenant

00:19:05confirmed with many

00:19:06it's describing

00:19:07a political architecture

00:19:08built not by one nation

00:19:10but by many nations

00:19:11aligning behind

00:19:12a single plan

00:19:13offering guarantees

00:19:14creating enforcement

00:19:15mechanisms

00:19:16and presenting

00:19:17themselves as

00:19:17guardians of peace

00:19:18according to Daniel

00:19:209 27

00:19:21the final peace

00:19:22covenant will be

00:19:23confirmed by many

00:19:24there's a single word

00:19:25in Bible prophecy

00:19:26that demands our

00:19:27attention confirmed

00:19:28Daniel 9 27

00:19:30describes a peace

00:19:31a seven year covenant

00:42:21and we have

00:42:22other points

00:42:24a huge movement

00:48:02burnt up then

00:48:03something going to

00:48:04be poured into the

00:48:05sea which is going to

00:48:06cause the fish to

00:48:06die some kind of

00:48:08pollution of the

00:48:08sea then the

00:48:10rivers and the

00:48:10springs are going to

00:48:11come bitter and you

00:48:12won't be able to

00:48:13drink from the

00:48:13bitter so some

00:48:14pollution something

00:48:14going to happen

00:48:15which is going to

00:48:15affect the waters of

00:48:17the rivers and

00:48:20something going to

00:48:20happen in the

00:48:20atmosphere so that you

00:48:21can't see the sun

00:48:22and the moon I

00:48:24say you could say

00:48:25these things are

00:48:26definite judgments

00:48:27coming but if you

00:48:28look at them in

00:48:28general all of those

00:48:30things are happening

00:48:30as a result of human

00:48:32mismanagement of the

00:48:32earth seeing trees

00:48:34burnt up vegetation

00:48:37dying fish dying in

00:48:38the sea as a result of

00:48:39pollution you've seen

00:48:40waters being polluted

00:48:41in the rivers and

00:48:42you're seeing the air

00:48:43being polluted in some

00:48:45cities including

00:48:45actually Tehran

00:48:46Delhi there are times

00:48:48when you can't see the

00:48:49sun and the moon

00:48:50because of the

00:48:50pollution in those

00:48:51cities so you're

00:48:53seeing these things

00:48:53happening in embryo in

00:48:54our time which I

00:48:56find kind of

00:48:57interesting and so

00:49:00you've got this

00:49:01environmental crisis

00:49:03which is coming

00:49:04so is that what it's

00:49:09leading to and also

00:49:10of course you have a

00:49:11lot of prophecies

00:49:12which speak about

00:49:12famine Jesus spoke

00:49:14about famine as one

00:49:15of the signs as a

00:49:17result of environmental

00:49:18things happening

00:49:19floods and droughts

00:49:20you're seeing food

00:49:21production being

00:49:21destroyed in various

00:49:22parts of the earth

00:49:23result of the war in

00:49:25Ukraine there's a

00:49:25whole supply of the

00:49:28world's food which has

00:49:29been cut off because of

00:49:30war you're seeing

00:49:31things happening which

00:49:32are attacking the

00:49:32world's food supply

00:49:33and some of the crazy

00:49:36things our government

00:49:37are doing is actually

00:49:37not doing as much

00:49:38help for the food

00:49:39supply of this country

00:49:40so you're seeing

00:49:42generally things

00:49:43happening in the world

00:49:44which are attacking the

00:49:45food supply which is

00:49:46another sign of the

00:49:47prophecies

00:49:48now where do we

00:49:50stand on the subject

00:49:51of climate change

00:49:52there are a lot of

00:49:54people in the

00:49:55prophecy movement who

00:49:56say that this is part

00:49:58of the world government

00:49:58conspiracy to believe

00:50:00that there is this

00:50:01climate change and it's

00:50:02a part of the plan

00:50:03towards world government

00:50:04maybe it is part of the

00:50:06plan to world government

00:50:07but I think we can't

00:50:08deny that something is

00:50:09happening in the

00:50:09climate there is a

00:50:11change which is taking

00:50:12place and we can't

00:50:19avoid that it's

00:50:20happening there are

00:50:22changes taking place

00:50:22and I'm going to give

00:50:23you one or two

00:50:23examples which show you

00:50:24that it's definitely

00:50:25happening now whether

00:50:26it is because we're

00:50:27burning fossil fuels

00:50:28that's another question

00:50:29some people say it's

00:50:31not another point is

00:50:33that they're trying to

00:50:34I mentioned before

00:50:36about in Iran they're

00:50:37trying to cloud seed

00:50:38which is another thing

00:50:39taking place and one

00:50:41of the things we see

00:50:41happening in the world

00:50:42today is an increase in

00:50:44two things droughts and

00:50:46floods so you've got to

00:50:48ask why are these

00:50:49happening and maybe we

00:50:53don't even have to ask

00:50:54the question why they

00:50:54happen but to face the

00:50:55fact that they are

00:50:56happening you're seeing

00:50:57a huge increase in very

00:50:59big droughts and floods

00:51:01even in this country you

00:51:04know the other day we

00:51:04were in the Midlands we

00:51:05went to Rutland Water

00:51:06which is the biggest

00:51:07reservoir in England

00:51:10and the water was way

00:51:12down in fact it showed

00:51:13that there were villages

00:51:14which had been flooded

00:51:15when they put the

00:51:16reservoir there now the

00:51:18villages have been on

00:51:20the surface and we had

00:51:23an exceptionally dry

00:51:23spring and summer in

00:51:25this country Iran much

00:51:28worse parts of southern

00:51:29Africa much worse

00:51:31Namibia they're really

00:51:33struggling for water

00:51:34many parts of Africa

00:51:35there's major droughts

00:51:37which means there's no

00:51:38food there's people

00:51:39suffering with the basic

00:51:40needs you've also got

00:51:44floods in various places

00:51:45as well and because of

00:51:49these things you have

00:51:51things like the climate

00:51:52change conference which

00:51:53took place last month in

00:51:55Brazil when you've got the

00:51:58nations coming together to

00:51:59try to work out the

00:52:00problem and this again is an

00:52:02interesting development

00:52:03because you've got an

00:52:04emerging kind of world

00:52:05government trying to impose

00:52:07some solution on the climate

00:52:09question but at the same

00:52:11time now it's kind of

00:52:12falling apart America

00:52:13didn't go and there's

00:52:14disagreement actually the

00:52:15green lobby was very

00:52:16disappointed with this

00:52:17because they didn't pass any

00:52:19resolutions about limiting

00:52:21fossil fuels they just made

00:52:23some resolutions to give

00:52:25money from the rich

00:52:26countries to the poor

00:52:26countries to help them out

00:52:27with their climate

00:52:28problems which won't

00:52:30actually solve anything

00:52:31now one of the problems

00:52:35is that if we say that

00:52:37it's true that we have

00:52:38the burning fossil fuels is

00:52:40affecting the world's

00:52:43climate then we have got to

00:52:46stop burning fossil fuels

00:52:47problem is if we do stop

00:52:50using fossil fuels then

00:52:53civilizations like ours

00:52:54actually fall apart because

00:52:57we need we're never going

00:52:58to get enough electricity

00:53:00from green lobby to keep

00:53:02the system going and even

00:53:04if you try you've got to

00:53:06build the plants which are

00:53:08usually using a lot of

00:53:09energy and then you've got

00:53:10to destroy them and it's

00:53:11it's not going to work you

00:53:13cannot solve you cannot

00:53:15supply a city like London

00:53:16and all the big cities of

00:53:18the world just on green it's

00:53:21not going to work even

00:53:23though Ed Miliband wants to

00:53:24push us in that direction

00:53:25and anybody knows it's not

00:53:27going to work so you're

00:53:28going to have to keep using

00:53:29fossil fuels if that's the

00:53:31problem then we're doomed

00:53:36really and it's shown that

00:53:39actually the fossil fuels are

00:53:41increasing dramatically

00:53:42especially in third world

00:53:44countries like well not

00:53:45you didn't use the word

00:53:46third world developing

00:53:46countries they used to say

00:53:47now isn't it especially in

00:53:49India Indonesia all these

00:53:51countries are using huge

00:53:53amounts of fossil fuels so

00:53:54the amount of fossil fuels is

00:53:56not going down in the world

00:53:57it's it's increasing if

00:53:59that's the case according to

00:54:00the green lobby then the

00:54:01climate's going to go up and

00:54:03we're heading towards

00:54:05things which are going to

00:54:06cause extinction on the

00:54:07human level if we do get

00:54:10if we do get rid of them

00:54:11if we had no fossil fuels

00:54:14are cool in this country and

00:54:15we tried to run everything on

00:54:17the green lobby your

00:54:18electricity would go down

00:54:19your food supply would go

00:54:20down your transport would

00:54:21go down our society would

00:54:23actually face such a

00:54:25radical change that it

00:54:25would not be able to

00:54:26continue because we built

00:54:28the system already so we've

00:54:30got this kind of a peria

00:54:32situation I was talking

00:54:33about earlier a crisis with

00:54:35no way out no one's got a

00:54:36solution only the Lord

00:54:38coming back can solve it

00:54:39now the Bible does indicate

00:54:44that this is actually I've

00:54:45already read this one so

00:54:46we'll go on to that yeah so

00:54:49it does indicate that this

00:54:50is going to be the

00:54:51situation in the last

00:54:53days you're going to have

00:54:54this crisis and no one's

00:54:57going to have a solution to

00:54:58it

00:55:07world which indicate it's

00:55:19know Siberia is temperatures

00:55:21go down to minus 50 and as

00:55:26a result of the freezing

00:55:26temperature Siberia has

00:55:28something called permafrost

00:55:29underneath the ground so

00:55:31there's whole areas which

00:55:33the ground is permanently

00:55:34frozen and they build houses

00:55:37and transportation systems on

00:55:39the permafrost the problem is

00:55:42that the temperature is

00:55:43definitely rising in the north

00:55:44of Russia and you can measure

00:55:46it it's gone up two or three

00:55:47degrees as a result of this

00:55:50rising temperature in the

00:55:51north of Russia the permafrost

00:55:52is melting and houses like

00:55:54this are falling into it and

00:55:56all over Siberia and north of

00:55:58Russia I think also in Alaska

00:56:01I'm not sure about Alaska but

00:56:02certainly in Russia you've got

00:56:03this problem of houses falling

00:56:08down also pipelines are broken

00:56:11because of it they built

00:56:12pipelines over the permafrost the

00:56:13pipeline then cracks and spills

00:56:16all over the place which adds

00:56:17to the environmental problem

00:56:18that's happening in Russia

00:56:20today and Russia's got no way

00:56:23to solve it because they

00:56:23haven't got any money they

00:56:25spend all their money on

00:56:26useless war in Ukraine

00:56:28generally their infrastructure is

00:56:31falling apart all over Russia

00:56:32and they're not going to be able

00:56:34to fix this one so it's another

00:56:37no way out situation which is

00:56:40affecting the lives of people who

00:56:42live in that part of the world

00:56:43and it's a sign that we have to

00:56:46say the temperature is rising

00:56:47there's no other explanation for

00:56:48why this is happening as it as it

00:56:51happens then also methane is

00:56:52released from the permafrost which

00:56:54also affects the climate and

00:56:56causes that to rise as well

00:56:58China and East Asia have not had

00:57:05droughts they've had torrential rains

00:57:08I've just seen a video showing the

00:57:11rains and the floods in in in Asia and

00:57:14in China it's quite horrific in October

00:57:1825th October the 25th they had an

00:57:23unbelievably strong rainstorm which

00:57:25caused dams to collapse so you've got a

00:57:27dam breaking in China the floods

00:57:30inundated the cities the agricultural land

00:57:32experienced a catastrophic series of

00:57:36dam failures due to extreme wet

00:57:40conditions which led to flooding and

00:57:43including flooding in Beijing itself

00:57:48when a major dam failed in the north of

00:57:50Beijing

00:57:51video also showed some of the results

00:57:58Wuhan place where COVID came from been

00:58:04underwater Nanjing underwater a million

00:58:06people have been evacuated roads have

00:58:09become impossible impassable farms and

00:58:11livelihoods along the riverbank have

00:58:13gone millions of tons of food have been

00:58:15lost industrial zones along the riverbank

00:58:19have caused have cascaded into the

00:58:22river which has caused contamination from

00:58:25the industrial chemicals to go into the

00:58:27rivers and in fact China's rivers are

00:58:29heavily polluted I think that 10% of

00:58:31the rivers in China are beyond any kind

00:58:34of useful drinking or anything like

00:58:36that because of the pollution in that

00:58:38part of the world so you can see this

00:58:41catastrophic thing taking place and one

00:58:47of the problems is the building of dams

00:58:49I'll come on to that in a moment but

00:58:52it's not just in China there are floods

00:58:54now in Indonesia Vietnam I think you

00:58:56talked about Philippines in the Punjab in

00:59:00in Pakistan there was unprecedented

00:59:01flooding earlier which submerged

00:59:03thousands of villages devastated

00:59:05millions of acres of farmland destroying

00:59:08rice sugarcane maize and vegetables and

00:59:11cotton displacing over two million people

00:59:13and killing I think half a million animals

00:59:19so these things are happening much more

00:59:23frequently and much more intensely than they

00:59:24have happened before whatever we think

00:59:27about global warming and climate change we

00:59:29can't deny that these things are happening

00:59:31and they're happening much more intensely

00:59:32I mentioned dams one of the features also

00:59:37of our time has been the building of dams

00:59:39and I did a bit of research into this

00:59:40it's quite interesting but building large

00:59:43dams for hydroelectric power and for

00:59:46irrigation seen by many as a way out of poverty

00:59:50in a way to develop their countries including in

00:59:53China but when they do that it disrupts the

00:59:56natural flow of the rivers and causes a change in

00:59:59the agriculture and the way that farming has been done for

01:00:03millennia so you have changes which take place

01:00:06one of the places it's really affected is the

01:00:12Tigris Euphrates Valley they built huge dams in Turkey

01:00:18which are put where the headwaters if you look at the map you see the

01:00:21headwaters of the Tigris and Euphrates which go down into Syria and into Iraq

01:00:25into the Persian Gulf are found in in Turkey

01:00:30as a result of this the flow of waters and also as a result of lack of rainfall

01:00:36the flow of water in the Euphrates has dripped dramatically so now there's the river

01:00:44says the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates

01:00:47and its water was dried up another prophetic sign but it's happening happening now

01:00:55I mentioned this one this is the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in Egypt built by Ethiopia

01:01:02which impacts the waters of the white Nile which flow into the blue Nile and then flow into Egypt

01:01:12and Egypt is very worried about this because it's only just been built it's a hydroelectric power

01:01:17station got a big lake behind it now and Egypt's worried because it's going to affect its water supply

01:01:24Egypt and Sudan for fear that their water supply will be affected especially if there are droughts

01:01:32affecting agricultural livelihoods and of course that's the city of Cairo

01:01:38Egypt was built on the Nile without the Nile Egypt is just desert but now it's

01:01:45ancient civilization going right back to bible times to the pharaohs and Joseph and Moses

01:01:52all because of this river if this river goes Egypt is finished

01:01:58and Egypt has already been affected by a dam which they built this was quite interesting as well because

01:02:03it's going to tie in with another prophecy I'm going to read to you

01:02:05this is the Aswan Dam that's taking it from space there's the river going out and there's a big lake

01:02:13behind it it's somewhere here on the map you can see there's a lake behind it and it flows into the

01:02:20river Nile which goes up through Cairo to the Nile delta there

01:02:27now the dam's construction was actually built by the Russians in 1960 as a gift to Egypt and it

01:02:32supplies them with hydroelectric power it's been a very mixed blessing because

01:02:38as a result of this dam it dams up the river the water which comes down from central Africa

01:02:45and it disrupted the natural flow of the Nile river which in normal times and this was happening way

01:02:52back in the bible times the Nile would flood and the Nile river would flood in this area here and

01:02:59as it flooded its waters would go out into the surrounding region and because it came down from

01:03:04Africa it had all these nutrients which would come in from it being brought down from central Africa

01:03:10and when it flooded it put all sorts of good stuff into the soil so Egypt could then grow crops and make

01:03:16this a very fertile part of the world round to the Nile delta there in fact in the time of the new

01:03:23testament Egypt was the bread basket of the Roman empire do you know that you read that in fact Paul

01:03:30was on a grain ship heading from Egypt to Rome so Egypt was very fertile now as a result of this dam

01:03:37being built down here what's happened is that all the fertile all the nutrients which came down from Africa

01:03:44are now stuck behind the lake here they don't go up

01:03:48so no longer is Egypt being fed with this fertile stuff which caused floods but it also helped them

01:03:55with the agriculture so centuries millennia in fact of agriculture in Egypt has been changed because of

01:04:01this dam so now instead of putting the natural resources which come through the flooding of the river

01:04:07they have to put fertilizers on the banks to fertilize their food the fertilizers are then washed into the river

01:04:15and they affect the river downstream which has also affected the

01:04:22fertility of the lower part especially in the delta area and killed the fish

01:04:28so the dam has actually created an ecological crisis in Egypt

01:04:34which is kind of interesting because there's a prophecy in the book of Isaiah

01:04:38and I find this fascinating but it's sad but it's also fascinating in the book of Isaiah chapter 19

01:04:49which is a prophecy about Egypt and it has a prophecy relating to the last days it says the waters

01:04:53shall fail from the sea the river shall be wasted and dried up the river will turn fail foul the brooks of

01:05:00defense will be emptied and dried up the reeds and rushes will wither the paris reeds by the river

01:05:05by the mouth of the river and everything sown by the river will wither and be driven away and will be no more

01:05:11the fishermen will also mourn all those will lament

01:05:15who cast hot hooks into the river and they will anguish who spread lead nets on the waters

01:05:21those who work in fine flax those who are we've fine fabric will be ashamed and its foundations will be broken

01:05:27and all who make wages will be troubled in soul so they're speaking about some kind of ecological crisis

01:05:33which affects the river of Egypt

01:05:37and these things are happening now

01:05:40and I find it fascinating you've got in the bible you have two big rivers the euphrates and the nile

01:05:46and bible prophecy says that something can happen in the last days which will affect both of these two big rivers

01:05:51now obviously they didn't know much about the amazon and the

01:05:56mekong river in east asia

01:05:58but I wonder if it's a kind of sign that the bible is saying that there's going to be this thing which can affect

01:06:04the ecology of the world in the last days

01:06:09and I believe we have to

01:06:11realize that this is part of what's happening in our time in our world

01:06:14another thing which you notice is that

01:06:22many of these countries which I've mentioned are actually countries which are provoking god

01:06:27in some way particularly Iran

01:06:30its islamist police state oppressing the people its weapons against israel

01:06:35persecuting the christians

01:06:38China with its communist police state oppressing the people persecuting the christians

01:06:42and supporting anti-christ dictatorships around the world

01:06:47Russia

01:06:48with its

01:06:50Putin style police state pursuing war against ukraine

01:06:53suppressing true christians with a corrupt mafia regime

01:06:59and of course we can't say that we're

01:07:01perfect either

01:07:03and when you look at these things you can see that there's an element of natural things happening like

01:07:08climate change I think we have to say that climate change is happening

01:07:12we have to say that there is pollution there is destruction of the environment there's also the element of the just the judgment of god

01:07:20and when you look at the prophecies of the bible it's clear that there's going to be this

01:07:24judgment and in fact the isaiah passage I read to you

01:07:27speaks about this happening as a curse devouring the earth

01:07:30because the inhabitants of the world are

01:07:33disregarding god's covenant

01:07:36and as we look at the world today we can see that as the world becomes more and more anti-god and anti-christian

01:07:41there is this judgment coming upon the world

01:07:45what can we do about it

01:07:47well I wish we could solve all these problems

01:07:49I'm afraid we can't

01:07:52we can do our little bit to

01:07:54look after the environment and we should do I mean I think we should be concerned for

01:08:00green policies up to a point

01:08:02not the manic ones but we should be concerned to care for our environment

01:08:08but we should also recognize that there is a process which has been set in motion which we're

01:08:11not actually going to reverse and again it ties in with the end time prophecies

01:08:17and there's going to be a time when someone is going to come who can sort it out

01:08:22and that's the one who made it in the first place

01:08:24when you look in the prophecies of Jesus coming you see all sorts of

01:08:28wonderful prophecies of

01:08:30huge fertility in the earth

01:08:32the psalm 72 speaks about the

01:08:35the corn waving in the hills and

01:08:37so as I 32 speaks about rivers flowing in the desert and

01:08:43the lord doing something to change the the ecology of the world

01:08:47even causing the river to flow out from Jerusalem and make the dead sea into a fertile place full of fish

01:08:52so God can actually sort it out

01:08:56and the hopeful thing is that Jesus is going to come back and he will sort it out

01:09:00so while we see a lot of things happening which

01:09:03can be very troubling

01:09:06we do that there is a great hope in the Messiah

01:09:09now I do believe that there will be a time when the world is put to rights

01:09:13some people say that the second coming of Jesus is just the end of the world and then we go to the new heavens and new earth

01:09:17but the bible makes it clear that to me if you believe the prophecies of the old testament of Isaiah

01:09:25and the book of Revelation chapter 20 it says that the Messiah is going to reign on the earth

01:09:29during a thousand year period in which he's going to put these things to right

01:09:33and to be honest we can't put it to right we're not going to succeed

01:09:37but Jesus is because he made it

01:09:40and in the revelation it says the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of our God and of his Messiah

01:09:47and he shall reign forever and ever

01:09:49Jesus is coming he's going to put right all these things which have gone wrong

01:09:55one thing which we can do is make sure that our lives are right with God

01:09:58because when Jesus comes it is the day of judgment

01:10:02whether you believe in the pre-tribulation or the post-tribulation

01:10:06one day we're going to die and we're going to be taken to be with the Lord

01:10:09we have to be ready to meet him by accepting salvation through Jesus the Messiah

01:10:14and that's the most important thing we can learn which is to be sure that we are in a right relationship with God

01:10:20through faith in Jesus

01:10:23so that no matter what bad things happen in the world we're not shaken by them and we don't fear like the rest of the world

01:10:29in the passage I read in the beginning it said men's hearts are going to be fainting them with fear what's coming on the earth

01:10:35people who do understand what's coming on the earth are afraid of what's happening

01:10:39rightly so

01:10:42but

01:10:43although

01:10:45we can use that fear in one sense because we can say to people well yes

01:10:50there is a crisis coming

01:10:53but there is a solution as well

01:10:55and the only solution actually is Jesus coming

01:10:58so my last word is believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved put your trust in him

01:11:03he's got it sorted

01:11:05and he's able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think

01:11:09and he can in a moment destroy all the nuclear nonsense and all the

01:11:14weapons and missiles and all the horrible things which people are making in our time

01:11:19and he can sort out the mess which we've made of the planet

01:11:22and he can bring in a good new old order in which there's peace and justice

01:11:27and rivers flowing in the desert and crops growing to feed the people instead of war and horrible things happening

01:11:34so praise the Lord

01:11:36when these things begin to happen

01:11:38don't panic look up lift up your heads your redemption draws near Jesus is coming

01:11:44amen
