At The Hollywood Reporter‘s annual Women in Entertainment breakfast gala, Dua Lipa tells THR on the red carpet about her love for Adele, her new song, and more.

00:00How does it feel to be here this morning as one of our scholarship presenters?

00:03Oh I'm so touched to be here. I mean it's amazing. We're giving we're giving away

00:09like over a million dollars to high school seniors across all of LA and I

00:16mean not just any high school seniors but the ones that have been taking part

00:19in the Hollywood Reporter Mentorship Program, the Women's Mentorship Program.

00:23And I just I'm so thrilled I feel so lucky to be here around so many

00:28inspiring women and to also be here to champion the new women in the

00:32entertainment and and see how they flourish and progress in this industry

00:36it's it's amazing so I feel very lucky to be here.

00:39From Barbie which you were in to Beyonce and Taylor Swift it's been a huge year for

00:43women in entertainment what's your take on the way that women have dominated the

00:46industry this year? I think it's incredible and it's about time.

00:51Definitely now Adele is receiving a huge honor this morning what's one thing you

00:55love about Adele? Well first of all she's our British Queen.

00:59I just love her and I'm just such a fan of her music she's got the most

01:03unbelievable voice and her lyrics have always been very touching to me and

01:08she's somebody I've always looked up to. Something I love about Adele is that she's

01:11such a fangirl for other female artists like Beyonce and the Spice Girls.

01:16Who's one female artist that you've been fangirling over and just loving their

01:19music lately? I'm always fanning over Adele.

01:22That's just like that's my queen. Of course you released new music recently with Houdini.

01:26What has the fan response been like to that song for you?

01:29Oh it's been amazing unlike anything I've experienced like it was so intense and

01:35overwhelming when the song came out and I'm just I'm so so happy so I'm excited for more.

01:41What can you tease about the more new music that's coming in 2024?

01:45That there's more of it and we're going to have a really good time and I'm just

01:48going to keep my cards close to my chest for now but I'll see you in the new year for sure.

01:51We can't wait to hear it. Of course you also have Argyle coming out so you've been getting more

01:55into movies with Barbie now Argyle. Can we see more movie roles from you in the future and if so

01:59what kind of roles would you love to take on? Maybe. I think for now like music's my number one

02:05priority. I'm like diving in head first into my new album. I've had the best most incredible

02:11experience working on both Barbie and Argyle and I'm excited for everyone to see Argyle on February 2nd

02:16and in terms of what roles next, I don't know. We'll just see. We'll see.
