00:00Congratulations. Huge week for you. You just won Dancing with the Stars.
00:04I know. Isn't that crazy? I don't know how that even happened.
00:08It feels like the week all just went by so fast. When they called your names, what was your reaction?
00:12Oh my gosh. I was just, I have to say, like, each week
00:16whenever Val and I would dance, it had that similar feeling, you know?
00:20It was just kind of this joy of just how exciting it felt.
00:24And so the thing is, winning was that exact same feeling except like times ten
00:28and I think it's just only now process that I won the Len
00:32Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, which is crazy. But, you know,
00:36I'm very grateful and very thankful, you know? What was the highlight
00:40of the whole experience on Dancing with the Stars? Probably meeting
00:44Val, you know? He has really taught me so much. He has been such a
00:48great mentor and teacher and I don't think I have ever had
00:52my voice heard as much as he has let me feel that, you know?
00:56And I think as a young girl, I think that is a really big feeling
01:00to have and also to be validated. And, you know,
01:04I'm very thankful for that, especially in this space, you know?
01:06Watching this show, he always seems like he's such a great partner.
01:10He is, yeah. Well, no, he just very much
01:12listens to you and also
01:14I have dyslexia. I have like certain things
01:16where it's a little harder for me to learn and
01:18he really knew how to pick up on that
01:20and I think that's what makes a good teacher is being
01:22able to adapt to the person that you're teaching and he knows how to do that.
01:26We're here this morning honoring women in entertainment like yourself.
01:30How does it feel to be here surrounded by so many powerful women?
01:32It's amazing. You know, as a young kid, I felt like there wasn't too much of that.
01:38And growing up, I've definitely seen a huge change.
01:40And so to be here and to be surrounded by such amazing, talented, powerful women, I'm really happy.
01:46You know, even on the way here, I was listening to music
01:48and I'm like, wow.
01:50Women have really been able to put their voices out there
01:52and be heard and it's just so amazing
01:54how much, you know, we have that.
01:56I'm very thankful.
01:58It's been a huge year for women in entertainment and female artists.
02:00The Grammy nominations are dominated
02:02by female artists going into next year.
02:04I'm like, let's freaking go.
02:06Who's one female artist
02:08that you've been loving their music lately?
02:10Ooh, lately, it's been
02:12Sabrina Carpenter.
02:14That's one that I have to say I'm really impressed by just because of her sass
02:19that she's able to put into her music is very cheeky but also very strategic.
02:24Same with Olivia Rodrigo, you know.
02:26And I think that has a lot to do with, you know, Taylor Swift
02:29and having that kind of young female artist to be able to listen to.
02:33It's crazy and awesome.
02:35Are you a Swifty?
02:37I am.
02:39Me too. I'm a huge Swifty.
02:40Huge Swifties. I'm like, guys, come on. How could we not, you know?
02:43What Taylor Swift era would you say you're in right now in your life?
02:47It's similar to the one that I performed.
02:49So definitely my lover era still, especially because of the wind.
02:52I'm just like, it's all roses and rainbows and sunshine.
02:56So that's where I'm at.
02:58You nailed that lover era dance. It was so good.
03:00Thank you. That was probably one of my favorites just because it's so me
03:03and it was just so fun and light and airy.
03:06It was a cute one.
03:07Coming off this big Dancing with the Stars win, what are you excited for in 2024?
03:11In 2024, you know, I'm excited for just what's to come.
03:16You never know what's going to happen.
03:18And I think that's what's so wonderful about just life, you know?
03:22And so I'm excited for that.
03:23And honestly, I'm excited for tour because I'm going to be going on tour for Dancing with the Stars.
03:28And I don't know what that entails, but Mandy Moore is choreography, doing choreography for that.
03:33And so I'm excited to work with her and excited to be on the road.
03:36I don't know what that's like.
03:37So fun.
03:39You'll be in your, you know, like your era's tour era.
03:42Mandy Moore choreographed the era's tour and you're on tour.
03:44I know. Literally, guys, I'm just trying to manifest my relationship with Taylor Swift in some way.
