00:00How does it feel to be here this morning and honoring Adele in this way and presenting this award to her?
00:05I feel honored to be honoring her, honestly.
00:10She's a fellow Londoner.
00:12She's a fellow artist, but on such a scale that it is absolutely mind-blowing.
00:19I think she's an incredible artist, one that we will all be very proud of, Americans and British people,
00:27but very specifically Londoners.
00:29So I'm presenting it to her as a fellow Londoner tonight.
00:33You are a fellow Sherry Lansing Leadership Award recipient.
00:37Why do you think Adele is another perfect recipient of this honor?
00:43Well, people keep asking me that.
00:46I keep saying, well, because it's Adele, that's why.
00:51You know, what more do I need to say, really?
00:53You know, but it's not only that glorious, extraordinary voice for the century, but also her work as a songwriter.
01:05And, of course, then after all of her work as an artist, it's her work as a philanthropist as well that we are recognizing tonight.
