00:00Boy, what to say about the Pittsburgh Steelers, huh?
00:02This Monday morning, armchair quarterback, we love to play.
00:05And at the break yesterday, Joe Ranieri, we saw a 7-3 lead for the Pittsburgh Steelers,
00:09playing exactly the way they wanted to.
00:10Slow the football game down, play good defense.
00:12We don't think Buffalo's passing game is good enough for us to win.
00:16Then the game changed with a lightning bolt.
00:18Strip sack fumble of Aaron Rodgers into the end zone.
00:21You go 10-7 lead for the Buffalo Bills, and they never look back.
00:2523-0 was the second-half tally in the favor of the Buffalo Bills in a 26-7 victory.
00:3315-23 for a buck, 23 for Josh Allen, and one touchdown.
00:37That wasn't the marquee.
00:38It was James Cook, who toted the rock 32 times for 144 yards.
00:44Sweet baby Ray, nine carries for 62 yards.
00:47Josh Allen, eight for 38.
00:49All in all, Joe, 51 carries for 249 and a touchdown.
00:53They absolutely bullied Pittsburgh in their own building, and now the Steelers sit back
00:58at a 6-6 record, and we're starting to question them even more.
01:03Yeah, well, and you should, right?
01:06I mean, because the way they got bullied, this Steelers team, especially the second half,
01:12I mean, 249 yards on the ground is what that Pittsburgh defense had given up.
01:19The most since they opened this stadium in 2001.
01:23So, you know, very much that is the version of Buffalo we know, Donnie, that makes them
01:29very dangerous in December and January, right?
01:33That's how you win playoff games.
01:35The conditions weren't great.
01:36They can go on the road.
01:38They can play in Buffalo.
01:39All of that, all of what you saw without their two starting tackles is why you can't stick
01:45a fork in the Buffalo Bills just yet, but what we saw from Pittsburgh and a 41-year-old
01:52quarterback bloodied.
01:54They can't run the ball.
01:55They can't pass the ball down the field.
01:58It's not looking good for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
02:02Yeah, I remember this also.
02:03Like, they got DK Metcalf.
02:04Damn, DK and George Pickens.
02:06Oh, yeah, Paul Pickens isn't part of the picture anymore.
02:08Let's move on.
02:09That is a major cog that is missing from that offense.
02:12An extra weapon at the wide receiver position, but here's Mike Tomlin talking about the loss.
02:19You know, not a lot needs to be said, man.
02:21That's an awful performance by us, but it's us.
02:27We didn't do a lot well tonight, obviously.
02:30We didn't possess the ball or maintain ball security on offense.
02:35We were highly penalized.
02:36We allowed those guys to run the ball.
02:40Didn't play 60 minutes of action.
02:41Didn't play complimentary football, and so we got to absorb that result.
02:49You know, we're certainly not going to feel sorry for ourselves.
02:51That's just business we're in.
02:52Kevin, you have a couple of big splash plays against you early in the third quarter.
02:56Still a lot of game ahead.
02:58Do you feel like you weren't able to find an emotional response to that in addition to the on-the-field stuff?
03:02Forget the emotional response, man.
03:04We didn't produce plays, you know.
03:07We didn't produce enough plays to put the fire out.
03:10You know, that's very secondary as we sit here tonight, man.
03:14We had a poor performance, and that's where our energy is and should be in terms of the analysis of this.
03:22All right?
03:23Got to get back to the tape there in Pittsburgh.
03:26Can it get better, Joe?
03:28Because, again, we talked about the Eagles.
03:30They're just broken on offense.
03:32I don't know how it gets better or if it's even possible it can get better.
03:37I don't think it can.
03:38I mean, where is it going to get better?
03:40I mean, they are what they are, right?
03:42They are still scratching their head trying to figure out a quarterback situation there.
03:47Now you've got a guy with, you know, a broken wrist who can't get hit.
03:51It's just bad, man.
03:54There's nothing good.
03:56And as crazy as that is, Donnie, they are still very much in the thick of the AFC North race.
04:01I don't get it.
04:02Is that mediocrity?
04:04Is that parity?
04:05I don't know what that is, but that whole division is an absolute mess.
