The Prime Minister's former senior political secretary Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin and businessman Albert Tei have arrived at the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court for a remand application.

Both men arrived in a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) van at 8.59am on Saturday (Nov 29).

00:28M.A.C.C. van at 8.59 a.m. on Saturday.
00:33As Teh was escorted into the building, he was heard shouting in Bahasa, Malaysia,
00:37claiming that the action taken against him was an injustice towards
00:41someone who loves the country.
00:44Shamsul, meanwhile, remained silent as he was led inside by M.A.C.C. officers.
00:50On Friday, M.A.C.C. Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azambaki said,
00:54Shamsul, Teh and Sophia Rini-Buyong had been detained in connection with investigations
01:00into allegations that Teh paid bribes to recover funds said to have been distributed to several
01:06Sabah assemblymen.
01:08Azam said the case carries significant public interest,
01:11and the M.A.C.C. is expediting investigations to prevent speculation or manipulation.
01:17He emphasized that the probe will be conducted professionally and fairly,
01:22and that any individual wishing to challenge the arrests may do so in court.
01:27Investigating officers have been instructed to complete the probe within a week
01:31before it is forwarded to the Attorney General's chambers for further action.
