00:30He reached out to The Weeknd's team in 2017 because he wanted to include the singer's alter ego in his comic book universe, but they never ended up working together.
00:39Now the writer is saying the Marvel comic book has a near identical premise to the one he pitched and he's suing The Weeknd for trademark infringement.
00:48The Weeknd's lawyers have pointed out that Ayman has a habit of timing his trademark filings to allegedly increase his chances of riding the coattails of successful artists.
00:58For example, the writer trademarked Running Through the Six right around the time the line from Drake's 2015 song Know Yourself was growing in popularity.
