00:13With The Haunting of Bly Manor, Mike Flanagan follows 2018's The Haunting of Hill House

00:18with another moody, evocative, and well-acted ghost story.

00:22This one based on Henry James' classic The Turn of the Screw.

00:26The cast is strong, including several stars from Hill House.

00:30The atmosphere is menacing, but the big scares don't necessarily materialize.

00:34There's a lot to enjoy, but on a less frightening, more romantic level than its Netflix predecessor.

00:49Disney Plus's adaptation of The Right Stuff has Leonardo DiCaprio among its producers,

00:54and the literary source material, Tom Wolfe's colorful look at the Mercury 7 astronauts,

00:59couldn't be more admired.

01:01The 1983 film version of The Right Stuff sets the bar even higher.

01:04And the show itself, it's fine.

01:07The ensemble, including Patrick J. Adams and Jake McDormand, is great.

01:12And it's nicely shot, respectfully researched, what it lacks is flair, inspiration.
