00:00I can't remember how I got into it. I think I had wanted to watch a movie called The World
00:07According to Garp and it wouldn't load fast enough because one huge streaming service merged with
00:12another huge streaming service and I think whoever did it just dragged and dropped. The whole thing
00:16was crashing so I went on YouTube to look up stretches to fix my lower back. I fell into a
00:22general fitness YouTube hole. It was the usual start. I bought new running shoes. With any hobby
00:29you start acquiring gear and sometimes it ends there. The hobby is really shopping for something
00:33you don't usually shop for. Yeah it looks good. I just want to make sure you understand that
00:42this is trash. This is a garbage room where I keep all the garbage in my house. Cool yeah and before
00:52it was here it was in somebody else's garbage room and then a trash room before that before
00:59that. I don't think anyone has ever used this machine. Yeah it's perfect.
01:09Further down the whole of research you learn well actually cardio is useless. It was never going to
01:14get you an ass. Hypertrophy only. That's the science of like making a muscle and actually cardio isn't
01:20useless because you need to build your work capacity so you can do more volume because volume is key but
01:25it's not the only key. It's also progressive overload. You think abs are made with crunches
01:29but then you learn they're made in the kitchen and then you learn that's not true either. They're a muscle
01:33you can grow them so you're back to crunches. Of course you idiot. I just miss being yelled at you
01:38know. My softball coach yelled at me because she believed in me. Nobody yells at me anymore. Nobody
01:43cares. It's up to me. I have to yell at myself. All this research and I realized all the resistance bands
01:49I bought won't give me the ass I want. That's something the entire planet can agree on. For that
01:54you need hip thrusts. Hip thrusts three times a week. However many you're doing it's probably not
02:00enough. Just do more. Now I can see that this is what was holding me back before. I need a nice ass
02:07before I can do anything else. I've done life completely backwards. I've looked into it and
02:12apparently to get a nice ass the research says you have to eat pounds and pounds of chicken every week.
02:20Basically what I was reading was you can't make an ass without chicken and you can't get chicken
02:25without money and you can't get money without an ass and you can't get an ass without chicken. You can
02:30hip thrust anything. If you really want an ass you won't make excuses. Why is my ass the same shape
02:36and size as it was a year ago even though I've done 12 by 3 sets a week for 52 weeks hip thrust?
02:41Fucking A. I'm not doing enough volume. Just do more hip thrusts. Between sets I start to wonder.
02:48Well I look back on this time in my life like I was a completely different person. Like that time I bought
02:54French magazines and did Duolingo every morning. S'il vous plaît. But French is useless. Having a huge ass

03:11where I buy the mass amounts of chicken it takes to maybe get an ass as a result of doing 12 by 3 sets
03:16of hip thrust three times per week but now I'm hearing what I need to be doing is just lunges.
03:20So I'm incorporating lunges now. Someone commented on a video I put up yesterday.
03:27She said today I tried to do what you do. Lunges in the grocery store aisles and everyone was looking
03:31at me like I was crazy. I just told her that happens to me too. You just got to ignore them.
03:38They don't understand what we're doing. They don't understand that we have to get a nice ass
03:42first before we do anything else. Yeah. Lunges now. Still hip thrust. Maybe sets of closer to 15 knots
03:51down if you can do 20 reps. The most important thing is to go to failure. Going to failure means
03:56you can't do any more. Muscle gives out. That's the only way it grows is if it gives out. You have
04:01to go to failure. Sometimes technical failure. Sometimes push past failure until complete technique
04:06breakdown. You have to go to failure. Don't worry about your spine. Go to failure. Be careful not to
04:10anterior pelvic tilt. You injure yourself doing that for a couple weeks and then your ass will
04:14really disappear. Go to failure. The low standards you have for yourself are truly shocking to what
04:18you thought you could be as a kid. You really have to go to failure. I wish you could see the way my
04:22ass looks to other people. How are they perceiving my ass? When I sleep my ass is getting made. I eat
04:28to make sleep easier. And after taking my whole life to failure I'm going to pay my fucking car off.
04:34And the shower is going to actually drain. And I'm going to take the air conditioner out when it gets
04:38winter. Not just wait for it to get summer again. And I'm going to get the bird shit off my car.
04:42And I'm going to take these clothes to Buffalo Exchange. They're going to pay me in cash that I
04:46use right then and there to buy the most revealing pair of shorts I can find for my hot new ass. And
04:51then I will look at myself in the mirror. What was I doing before this? I honestly can't remember.
04:56Was I doing something? It doesn't matter. All my life I've been going to failure.
