The host made the gaffe, which has been skewered mercilessly on social media, during what he described as "one of the most important monologues" he will ever give on his show.

00:00What did President Clinton, or President Clinton want to be, President Obama?
00:05The Russia scandal may be getting to Sean Hannity. The Fox News host made an embarrassing slip
00:10on his show Monday, calling Hillary Clinton President Clinton during what he dubbed one
00:15of the most important monologues of his career. The slip quickly went viral and social media
00:20had a field day. The flub occurred on the same day a federal grand jury indicted three members
00:25of the Trump campaign. A somber Hannity opened his show railing against what he called
00:29unequal justice and questioned the probity of Robert Mueller and his special counsel
00:34investigation. Before too long, Hannity was back to attacking Clinton. And just over three
00:39minutes into his monologue, he asked,
00:51Hannity tried to style out his stumble, but the internet sees and hears all.
00:55Many pointed out that the slip fit with the joke Clinton herself has made, that Fox News
00:59is more comfortable pretending she is in the White House. The Twitter reactions included,
01:04Sean Hannity just called Hillary President Clinton. It's okay, Sean. She is the popular choice.
01:09Hannity, just after calling her President Clinton, is now going after Hillary for making a joke
01:14about how Fox News thinks she's president. Sean Hannity just called Hillary President Clinton.
01:19If he's privy to some info we're not, I'm open to it.
01:22It'll be weird when Warren wins in 2020 because Fox accidentally spent four years attacking Hillary
01:28instead. And, I know Sean, we all wish she was president too.
