00:14band since 2011 and the group succeeded in getting the star-studded audience to their
00:18feet, singing along and fist pumping. The performance began with,
00:22We Will Rock You,
00:32before moving into a rousing rendition of We Are The Champions.
00:43As Lambert welcomed everyone to the Oscars, a picture of Freddie Mercury, the band's
00:47late lead singer, appeared on the screen behind the stage.
00:50The opening performance may not be the only time Queen take the stage at the awards ceremony
00:54as Bohemian Rhapsody, which details the formation and rise of the band, and the life of
00:58the enigmatic Mercury is up for five awards including Best Picture and Best Actor for
01:02Rami Malek for his portrayal of the late lead singer.
