00:00Donald Trump took his hatred for CNN and his former friend Jeff Zucker one step further
00:04on Monday when he suggested boycotting the network's parent company to force
00:09management changes. Trump took to Twitter, writing,
00:11"...I believe that if people stopped using or subscribing to AT&T, they would be
00:16forced to make big changes at CNN, which is dying in the ratings anyway.
00:20It is so unfair with such bad, fake news. Why wouldn't they act?"
00:24Apparently the president was set off after watching the network while traveling abroad
00:27in the U.K. In an earlier tweet, he wrote,
00:30"...the only problem is that CNN is the primary source of news available from the U.S.
00:34After watching it for a short while, I turned it off. All negative and so much fake news.
00:38Very bad for U.S. Big ratings drop. Why doesn't owner AT&T do something?"
00:43Now Trump's animosity towards Zucker is already well established considering he previously
00:48called for AT&T to fire the CNN chief, who had his contract renewed through the 2020 election.
00:53Trump wrote back in August of 2018,
00:55"...little Jeff Z has done a terrible job. His ratings suck and AT&T should fire him
01:00to save credibility."
01:01A CNN spokesperson has not yet responded to a request for comment on the president's
01:05call for a boycott.
