If you're traveling in the Great Lakes region this Thanksgiving week, expect blizzard conditions to disrupt travel. AccuWeather's Anna Azallion says some areas could get up to three feet of snow.

00:00Get ready for up to three feet of snow this week. And if that sounds like something that could disrupt your Thanksgiving travel plans, well, you would be correct.
00:07So the storm starts in the northern plains. Really, the Midwest is going to see a couple inches of snow, even upwards of a foot in some areas.
00:14But the big concern through the day Wednesday is blizzard conditions, because, yeah, wind is a factor here as well.
00:19Then the storm moves east. It moves over the Great Lakes, and hello, lake effect snow.
00:24And here's where up to three feet of snow comes in.
00:27Now, for some of you who live in these areas, you're used to lake effect snow.
00:30You know what driving in it can be like and how quickly visibility can drop.
00:33But for others, you're traveling to these areas, and you should be prepared for those quick drops in visibility, the slick spots on the roads, and, yes, several feet of snow.
00:43But it's lake effect, so not everybody is going to get those kinds of totals.
00:47Some of you will only get a couple inches, but those lake effect snow bands, they can be very narrow.
00:52So just miles apart, the snow totals can be very, very different.
00:55Wind is a factor here as well, and that's really where we get into issues for airport travel.
01:00So first, Wednesday, airports like Cleveland, Buffalo, you could see delays because of 40 to 50 mile-per-hour wind gusts.
01:06Then Thursday, even New York City airports can be impacted here.
01:10So make sure you're ready for possible delays.
01:12You have your airline app downloaded so you get those push notifications and can plan accordingly.
01:17So let's get started.
