00:51It's cast iron, so I got to bust it out,

00:53putting the shower pan back in, just getting ready for stone coat.

00:57There was plenty of water damage.

00:58We're still working through some of that.

01:03Two bi-hinged patio doors, 72-inch wide,

01:07and then that whole wall gets barn wood there.

01:10So we're building a pergola on this build.

01:12It's a beautiful wood structure that has absolutely no purpose.

01:17We're building an actual 10 by 12 shelter for M&M barbecue.

01:20Lay down some pavers.

01:22We're going to smooth it all out.

01:23We're going to keep plugging along,

01:24as long as we don't have any rain falling down on us.

05:05I got the shooting bench done.

05:08I was able to get a little hand from our new castmate, Kyle and Brock.

05:13We were able to kind of get all the pieces cut up, assemble them.

05:17Six and a quarter here.

05:18Once it was coming together, you could tell how much of a fit it's going to be here on

05:23this property.

05:24Kevin and Hal really pulled one out here as far as what was going to be a good fit for

05:29this family.

05:48When it comes to habitat here in this area of Mississippi, the biggest problem you have

06:01is the soil.

06:02The pH levels are way out of whack here.

06:05Lots of pine trees, which means your pH is off.

06:09It literally is going to take about eight to nine tons of lime.

06:15Fertilizer don't work until you get your pH right.

06:18Your seed's not going to germinate right, nor is your root development going to be very

06:21good.

06:22So we have got to get this ground's pH level up to at least 6.3 to 6.8.

06:28Somewhere in there, that's going to be our minimum.

06:35And then you just make it round.

06:54I was worried about the paneling itself, but putting an accent wall in here broke that

10:26And I'm gonna clean it so we can get a better look at that

10:29Flute in there and we're gonna make sure what's the best plan of action of fixing it to where it don't happen again

10:44All right, next one's 93 and three-eighths

10:58So one of the things like many of these cabins

11:01They need bedroom space this living room wasn't being used for much they had a dining room table there

11:07But the dining room is going to be in that garage area now

11:10So it makes a perfect opportunity for this to be a bunkhouse. So we're gonna put this wall up here. I think it'll work out perfect for them. So

11:18Alex and I are getting this thing framed up. We will be hanging drywall in

11:2320 minutes

11:31So what we got okay, your brick is pretty much deteriorated on the back wall, so

11:35It's a safety hazard the top blue towel is cracked pretty much the only thing that's holding it up there is the cap and

11:44The crown is busted has holes in it. So we're looking at a crown

11:49We're looking at a new cap a heat shield and a fire back and some profile semen because your cracks right here

11:58That leads back into the framing of the home. Okay, if any fire gets back there. It's gone. You got a house fire

12:05Hey, good news is walls looking good. It's getting everybody bad news is the chimney's got more problems in our government

12:13Now what a lot of damage from the fire. Yeah, they can put a metal insert down in the bottom

12:20Do some patch but how's it gonna affect you they they'll they'll be done by Thursday night

12:54We're past the halfway point, but we're not past halfway. That's the downside. So we got to

13:01Buckle down today and it's gonna be a short day because today we're meeting the family and we're gonna have a nice evening with them

13:08Some entertainment some food. So I'd like to bust out as much as we can because you know if we don't get

13:15Far enough along today. That means an early start tomorrow

13:18Remember we will have flooring guys finishing up and the chimney company is gonna be there to get this chimney straightened out

13:24So we can get this fireplace straightened up. So got to work around them

13:29But the faster we can get them through here the sooner we can complete our journey

13:38You know that you think they may have to do all the painting because of my awesome painting skills, but it's because I'm the only one tall enough could go without a ladder

14:0512,000 plus pounds of lime is down. We are now moving on to the next phase. We are drilling seed

14:14We got about

14:17500 pounds of green cover seed going in multiple different ones

14:20We're going from soybean to summer release which is a blend of all sorts of stuff that builds organic matter in the soil

14:26But also puts nitrogen in the soil. There's peas there's soybeans there's sorghum

14:31There's millet there's sunflowers in this stuff is good for everything they have quail here

14:37This is going to be a number one for quail

14:39They'll be able to hide in it or baby turkeys will be able to hide in it

14:42The deer are gonna love it. They'll actually bed in it and feed in it this summer release from green cover. It's something that everybody should be planning

14:50Well, give me three of them point three and seven eight gotcha

15:12I've got 22 and 13, 16, three of them as well.

15:21All my life I've been around construction really.

15:24Ever since I was little, I knew how to hit a nail on the head with a hammer.

15:28And honestly, I'm just glad to be around all these great people that have the experience that I don't yet have.

15:35And they're willing to teach me all these great things and all these skills that are very important,

15:39especially to a young person like me.

15:41My favorite part about the build is the team dynamic we have here.

15:45Everyone knows exactly what to do and how to get it done.

15:56Sweet Dreams couldn't make it out here to Mississippi, so I'm helping with the decorating of all rooms.

16:02Katie and I sat down preparing and picking out furniture and getting everything ordered and put a game plan together, and here we are.

16:10This house, we wanted to do more of a masculine feel to it.

16:16It's 90% of the time, it's like guys here hunting.

16:19So when they're done hunting, at the end of the day, they still have a cozy and relaxing place to come back to.

16:24Yeah, this worked out really good, man. Rob did a great job.

17:40We're going to a little place called Smallwood Hunting Club,

17:44where all these people just migrate and hang out.

17:49We're very excited to meet the crew.

17:51I've met a few of the crew members.

17:53I've seen a lot through all the seasons.

17:55I know a lot of them on the show, so I'm ready to meet them in person

17:59and kind of fill them out.

18:01Everybody is different from whatever part of the state of there.

18:04I think that's one cool thing.

18:06On the show, you got people from all around the country that comes in.

18:09and builds one united thing, and that's...

18:12I want to meet them in person and just get to know them.

18:15That's something that every time that we've been able to make it happen,

18:19midweek, we're working 12 to 14-hour days.

18:22The family comes in. It always energizes the crew.

18:25Each one of us is sore. Each one of us is tired.

18:28But meeting the people and the community around why we're doing this

18:32always gets us through those last three days.

18:35We're getting a chance to hang out with them tonight, talk a little bit.

18:38They're going to be trying to get information from us to see what we've done.

18:41We're going to give them nothing.

18:43But the family, we're excited to see what they're all about,

18:46hear their story, and really connect with them,

18:48especially when they come here and they see the final result.

18:50It makes it that much more emotional.

18:52I love what you're calling it. You're calling it family night.

18:54And that's what family is all about,

18:56fellowshipping, and all of a sudden you guys are going to be a part of our family,

18:59and we're going to be part of your family.

19:01That's going to be a lot of fun.

19:02I'm looking forward to that, too, because I haven't got to meet everybody

19:04because we can't see it.

19:46and so to be able to high-five, hang out, and eat some good groceries,

19:48and, you know, get some camaraderie in,

19:55Y'all, the reason we're here, because of your story, your mission,

19:59you want to pass this on for generations to come to all of them

20:03and all their kids, and that's what touched our heart,

20:06and that's why Kevin and I said this is the one we got to come do.

20:37talking about turkeys and deer,

20:38but the whole time, all the family members are like,

20:40man, so what are they doing over there?

20:42Because, you know, I'm kind of the inside outsider,

20:44but I'm actually not part of the crew,

20:46so they're thinking they can pick me,

20:47and I ain't saying nothing,

20:48and I'm the worst at holding secrets,

20:50but I ain't said nothing about what's going on over here.
