00:00You can't get away from the fact that the overall picture in terms of people's quality
00:04of life and standard of living is very poor at the moment and that's because the government
00:09has taken various choices that have driven up inflation. So putting tax on businesses
00:13which gets passed on by way of higher prices, borrowing and spending lots of money driving
00:19up inflation. And if you look at inflation now it's almost double what it was when we
00:24left office and within that food inflation has actually gone up quite dramatically in
00:28the last figures from four and a half to four point nine percent and that's why people
00:32are really feeling it in their pockets. What we've got to do is get government spending
00:36down and get taxes down. That's the way to really take pressure off hard working people.
