00:00We have not taken the choices that have led to this unexpectedly large rise that is going
00:04to impact families right up and down the country, particularly the poorest families actually,
00:10particularly as food has been going up more than other items. But look, this has happened
00:15because of choices this government has made. It's gone out and spent a lot of money, borrowed
00:18a lot of money, that's been inflationary. It has also neglected productivity when it
00:24cut those public sector wage deals, there were no productivity requirements attached
00:28to that. And of course the National Insurance increases for employers will in part at least
00:33be passed on, and is being passed on, by way of higher prices. So those are decisions that
00:39this government took, and they were the wrong decisions.
