After President Trump stirred controversy for his Sunday comments that a group of Democratic congresswomen of color should go back to the "broken and crime infested places from which they came," late-night hosts fired back during Monday night shows.

00:00There were some big stories while we were gone.
00:02The sun rose in the east.
00:04A bear relieved himself in the woods.
00:07Donald Trump was racist.
00:10After President Donald Trump stirred controversy for his Sunday comments that a group of Democratic
00:14Congresswomen of color should go back to the broken and crime-infested places from which
00:19they came, late-night hosts fired back during their Monday night shows.
00:23In his tweets, Trump referred to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and her
00:28allies in what's become known as The Squad, which includes Representatives Ilhan Omar
00:32of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.
00:37Only Omar from Somalia is foreign-born.
00:39On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the host commented on Trump's personal best at being
00:44the worst moment.
00:45If that strikes you as a little racist, you do not know the meaning of the word little.
00:51And it's so full, it's a choc-black, it's a burrito of wrongness.
00:55It kind of feels like that burrito is giving America indigestion.
00:58Colbert went on to describe Trump's comments as insulting.
01:01It is insulting to these women to even have to defend them from these ridiculous racist
01:07accusations.
01:08Is there anybody Trump does think was born in America?
01:12The Late Show host went on to say that Trump is attempting to drive a wedge into the Democratic
01:16Party, which he said is a mistake because according to Colbert, the Democrats, the only
01:21one issue they agree on is him, adding that this moment has done nothing but unite the
01:25Democratic Party.
01:27It's like in the sci-fi movie, where everyone is fighting on Earth, but the only thing that
01:30can unite humanity is an alien invasion, except this time, 42 percent of the country are like,
01:36uh, those aliens are making sense.
01:38As for Trump's defensive stance, that his comments were not racist, Colbert strongly fired
01:43back.
01:44Everything in your life has been handed to you on a silver platter, and yet you, every
01:48other word of your mouth is a tantrum that would get a toddler dragged out of a ball pit.
01:53You complain about everything.
01:55You don't like Bette Midler?
01:56Who doesn't like Bette Midler?
01:58If someone is leaving this country, it should be you.
02:01And if you're looking for a new home, might I suggest that you go to hell?
02:05Hmm, strong words, perhaps, but he wasn't the only one.
02:09On late night, Seth Meyers took a closer look at Trump's appallingly racist comment, which
02:13he noted is typical of the POTUS.
02:16Every day he serves up a steaming hot entree of racism and then washes it down with a side
02:21of McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King's with some pizza.
02:25Meyers went on to say that it's ludicrous to attack the Congresswoman when they're actual
02:29citizens of this country.
02:31If you're asking them to fix the totally broken, crime-infested governments of their home countries,
02:36they're trying.
02:38He continued,
02:39This is their country, and they are treating it with a lot more respect and devotion than
02:43the racist gargoyle who sits around tweeting from the back nine of his chintzy golf course.
02:48Ooh, rough.
02:49But it sounds like a sick idea for a Halloween costume.
02:53Over at The Daily Show, Trevor Noah decided to become a racism detective to assess whether
02:57Trump is, in fact, a racist.
02:59Noah didn't know what was worse, the fact that the president thought it's acceptable to
03:02say, go back to where you came from.
03:05Or the fact that he said it to people who are already where they came from.
03:09Noah was baffled, saying it's almost like when Trump said you can't be a person of color
03:14and an American.
03:15When asked about his controversial comments, Trump said the criticism didn't faze him because
03:19many people agree with what he said.
03:21And hey, that's not cool, as Noah said.
03:24Just because many people agree with you doesn't mean you aren't being racist, okay?
03:28Imagine if Hitler was like, I know everybody says I'm bad, but have you seen how many people
03:32are waving at me in the streets?
03:34If I was racist, they would say something, yah?
03:37Jimmy Fallon addressed the tweet during Monday's episode of The Tonight Show.
03:40The host also targeted the first lady and joked that she asked, hey, how come they get to
03:46leave in response to Trump's tweets?
03:48I don't know what's more shocking, that the president sent a racist tweet or that we
03:52won't be talking about this in two days.
03:54Ooh, I don't know about that one.
03:56That…
03:57Too real.
03:58Okay, uh, that's right.
04:00Exactly.
04:01Now, on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host said that Trump was out of his mind again before he
04:05shared the president's tweets and a clip of Trump during a press conference in which
04:09he said that the Congresswoman should leave the United States if they don't like living
04:13in the country.
04:14As soon as he said that, Melania started running to the airport.
04:18Kimmel then targeted Senator Lindsey Graham, who said Trump was a race-baiting, xenophobic,
04:23religious bigot four years ago.
04:25The host then shared a more recent clip of Graham in which he praised Trump for being the best
04:29golfer.
04:30Lindsey Graham is probably the closest Donald Trump will ever come to owning a dog.
04:35Don't make us get the leash, Lindsey.
