Billy Bob Thornton reveals why he and Angelina Jolie divorced (and explains those infamous blood vial necklaces!), Donald Trump snaps at reporters as Congress votes to release the Epstein files, Rebecca Gayheart opens up about life with ex Eric Dane amid his ALS diagnosis, Jonathan Bailey finds calm with Elmo, and the BBC issues a rare apology to Princess Kate
00:00Hey, it's People in 10. There's officially more to come in the Epstein files as pressure mounts
00:08towards the president. His tune on releasing them changed this week, despite being repeatedly named
00:13in the emails already released. But that didn't stop him from berating a female reporter who asked
00:18about them. And just days later, he lashed out again. And the emails they're referring to,
00:29Epstein appeared to call Trump that dog that hasn't barked. The convicted sex offender also
00:34claimed, of course, Trump knew about the girls. And another, Epstein referenced Trump a blowing
00:39Bubba. So now everyone's asking, who's Bubba? It's apparently not Bill Clinton, but instead a private
00:44individual who is not a public figure. I'm just thinking of all the victims in all this. Hopefully
00:49their voices are heard and the files aren't being tampered with like some have alleged.
00:54Yes. We're learning a little more about Eric Dane's life these days as he and his ex,
00:59Rebecca Gayhart, navigate his ALS diagnosis. She says she's trying her best to be there for him
01:04and their two daughters. It's super complicated for me. I try to stay optimistic though about it all.
01:13I'm just showing up. I'm showing up and I'm trying to be there for them. And I guess time will tell.
01:19Rebecca and Eric have been separated for eight years. They share 15-year-old Billy and 13-year-old
01:24Georgia who live with Rebecca full time. She calls the whole experience very humbling.
01:30I'm trying to learn from it and role model for them
01:37how to go through something like this, which is really hard. I just want to make sure I provide
01:44them with the opportunity to spend time with him.
01:50It's officially a wrap on the Wicked Press Tour, but remember how things got scary in Singapore
01:54when a man lunged at Ariana Grande and grabbed her legs? She was shocked and Cynthia Erivo instantly
02:01jumped in to protect her. But now we know what happened to the guy who did it. Johnson Wen,
02:06who's Australian, pleaded guilty to being a public nuisance. And he has a history of doing this,
02:10y'all. Like at Katy Perry and The Weeknd's concerts this summer. He was sentenced this week to nine
02:16days in jail. Nine days? Does the punishment fit the crime? Honestly, though, enough of that guy
02:23because nobody's mourning the Wicked, honey. Let's talk all the for good fashion because every single
02:29premiere fit was on point. I love Michelle Yeoh with all those hair changes. I mean, hello, New York,
02:36that pixie and Givenchy ball gown. And of course, I had eyes on our sexiest man alive, Jonathan Bailey,
02:42who looked like a snack in custom Laura Piano. And while Ariana Grande couldn't make it to Sao
02:47Paolo, she was in Paris, London, yes, Singapore, and New York City with a custom Schiaparelli number
02:54and her Elphaba by her side. And despite Cynthia not feeling too hot, she rocked that Balenciaga.
03:00The sequel hits theaters tomorrow, which can't come soon enough.
03:03Now back to Jonathan because our sexiest man alive also visited the one and only Sesame Street
03:11where he did a little Dancing Through Life with Burt and Ernie and showed off his wicked moves.
03:16I didn't come up with that one. Burt did. He also enjoyed the autumn air with Elmo.
03:20What you doing?
03:22I'm just, I'm taking a moment for myself.
03:25Then Jonathan explained to his new friend what that means to him.
03:28Sometimes I do nothing. And sometimes I just sit and listen to the leaves.
03:37This is the wholesome content we need in our lives. And you definitely agree.
03:43Do you ever wonder why some outlets, including people, call Princess Kate, Kate Middleton sometimes?
03:48Even though that hasn't been her name since 2011 when she married Prince William?
03:53Well, it has to do with Kate Middleton being the most popular keyword to search her online.
03:57SEO, baby. That's why you see it in headlines, but not usually on a live broadcast.
04:03And that is why the BBC had some groveling to do this week over their Remembrance Day coverage.
04:08It's the UK's version of Veterans Day where the Royals typically always make an appearance.
04:13But the BBC called her Kate Middleton multiple times that day instead of the Princess of Wales,
04:18prompting fans and even members of Parliament to call them out.
04:21So they issued a rare apology over the backlash.
04:24But couldn't help pointing out that they also used her correct title more broadly during the broadcast.
04:31We all remember when Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton were married.
04:35Like we could ever forget this relationship.
04:37And Billy Bob can't either. He's even dishing about that time in his life and what a time it was.
04:42Let's find out what he's saying.
04:45Hey, Mako. What's up?
04:46Hey, Alexandra.
04:47Okay, so Billy Bob gave us some insight this week about his relationship with Angelina.
04:51Specifically those necklaces.
04:53What did he say?
04:54Yeah, you know, it's actually really sweet what he said.
04:57So you probably remember all the talk about those vile necklaces they had supposedly filled with each other's blood.
05:03Well, he told Rolling Stone it was just a romantic little idea they had.
05:07And they were actually only just these little lockets with just one drop of blood in them.
05:11But as things do, that snowballed very quickly in the press.
05:14He remembers people believing that they were vampires living in a dungeon and even drinking each other's blood.
05:20Wait a minute.
05:20I got caught up too because I believe the same thing.
05:22So these weren't even full vials?
05:24No, I know.
05:25It's such a letdown.
05:27But Billy Bob actually clarified years ago that they were just these little lockets.
05:31You know, the ones that you can put a little photo in.
05:33And they used a kit that Angelina brought home one day to get a drop of each of their blood for the necklaces.
05:38Those were wild times.
05:41Now, I know he's remarried now.
05:43But I gotta say, this kind of has me missing these two.
05:45I know.
05:46And you know, Billy Bob looks back fondly on it as well.
05:49He says they had a great time together.
05:51And it was actually one of the greatest times in his life.
05:53They're still very close friends to this day, which is also really nice to hear.
05:57It was a pretty civilized breakup.
05:58They just ended up going their separate ways because their lifestyles were so different.
06:02Maybe not so different.
06:04They were both into those blood necklaces.
06:06Well, thank you for the tea.
06:08I'll talk to you later, Alexandra.
06:09No problem.
06:10Talk soon.
06:11Bye.
06:13Fashion's biggest night is gearing up for more.
06:15The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced the theme for its spring exhibit, Costume Art,
06:20which will celebrate the connection between bodies and the clothes we wear.
06:23It all kicks off, of course, with the Met Gala on May 4th,
06:26which is the big annual party to raise funds for the exhibit.
06:29I can't wait to see how everyone pays homage to this year's theme.
06:33Now, we don't know the celeb co-chairs just yet,
06:35but the gala's primary sponsors will be Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez,
06:39who first attended the event together in 2024.
06:42And not everyone is pleased with that.
06:45But the show must go on.
06:47Big brother in the house.
06:50The Dancing with the Stars semifinal paid tribute to Prince,
06:53and we got a major surprise.
06:54After weeks of his fans hoping and praying,
06:57Zac Efron finally showed up to support his low bro Dylan in the competition.
07:01Zac was spotted in the audience holding their little sister on his lap,
07:04and the ballroom erupted in cheers.
07:07He also pulled double duty, urging viewers to vote for Dylan on his Instagram story.
07:11And I guess it worked,
07:12because the show received the most votes in its entire history,
07:16resulting in the shocking elimination of Secret Lives of Mormon Wife star Whitney Leavitt.
07:20So that leaves Elaine and Alan, Alex and Val, Robert and Whitney, Dylan and Daniella,
07:26and Jordan and Ezra to battle it out in the final for the Mirrorball.
07:29Now it's a sit down with Hailey Lou Richardson.
07:33Hi, Hailey.
07:34Your first book of poetry has arrived.
07:36I'm sad and horny.
07:38When did the idea for a book of poetry begin percolating?
07:41It was because someone told me you could turn these poems into a book.
07:45And I had like never had that thought.
07:48And I doubt I would ever have had that thought.
07:51And then he was like, what would you call it?
07:53And I was like, probably I'm sad and horny.
07:56So once I said that out loud, it like all clicked and started making sense.
07:59And then I just like committed to seeing it through.
08:03Why was poetry your choice of expression?
08:05What did you want to get across that only worked in this format?
08:08My poems in the book is pretty raw and pretty like unrefined, I would say.
08:13But it's like more intentional to be shared publicly than my journaling.
08:20Journaling, like sometimes I'll just like anger journal and I'll just like scribble over my own sentences over and over and over.
08:27I know when I go like I go through my journal at the end of every year to kind of like check in with myself.
08:32And sometimes I'm like, whoa, you were nuts back then.
08:35Or I was like, oh, wow, I'm so proud of you for getting through that, Hailey.
08:38But I can always tell like what I'm deeply feeling by how my handwriting looks.
08:44Sometimes it's really unhinged.
08:48But yeah, I mean, maybe there are some people out there who would be interested in seeing my journal.
08:52But I don't know if I'm that brave to share it.
08:56I love that this is a coming of age slash reckoning with turbulent 20s and going into 30s reflection.
09:03What are some things that you left behind in your 20s and some new ones that you want to bring into your decade of 30s?
09:09I love that question because I think that's the key to growth and being more at peace.
09:15So far, I've learned or realized is like it's not about what more can I do or how can I be more to be able to be better?
09:23It's like what can I let go of?
09:25What can I leave behind?
09:27What can I let not be meant for me?
09:29You know, so I think honestly, like the surrender and acceptance of doing that, of actually allowing myself to just like say goodbye to things and people that aren't meant for me.
09:41You're starring opposite Emilia Clarke in a new Peacock series, Ponies.
09:45Were you fangirling the entire time?
09:47Like, hello, Khaleesi.
09:49I mean, honestly, I didn't, I wasn't like a Game of Thrones person.
09:54I loved, I watched the first season.
09:56I loved her in that.
09:57She's such an iconic character.
10:00But I've seen some other of her movies and I love her.
10:02And I just love how like expressive and earnest she is as a human being and actor.
10:06And so like really, I was fangirling about her like as a human being.
10:10Like she is the most precious, smart, like generous, giving, like powerful, but also like soft human.
10:22I love her.
10:23So yeah.
10:25So yeah, it was fangirling, but more about her as a human being.
10:30Okay, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock.
10:33Tell everyone why they need to grab a copy of your book.
10:35I'm sad and horny.
10:37Ready, set, go.
10:38If you are sad and horny and you have feelings, you should buy my book.
10:44Like saying, hey.
