00:00Hey, it's people in 10. John Stamos is one loyal friend, so of course he and Lori Loughlin go way
00:10back, and now he's got her back after her 28-year marriage came to an end. I'm just heartbroken for
00:16her right now. She's just devastated. He calls Lori a good mother, a good wife, even a saint.
00:21But as for her ex, who it sounds like John blames for the whole college admissions scandal,
00:26well, he's not holding back. Whatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core. He's a terrible
00:32narcissist. I think this guy needs help. Tell us how you really feel. Don't expect a call from John
00:37anytime soon, buddy. I will never talk to him again. Yet another White House social media post
00:43got us talking. This time, it's Press Secretary Caroline Levitt and her bizarre reply to a
00:48correspondent at HuffPost. So he asked her who decided the location for Donald Trump and Vladimir
00:53Putin's planned meeting. Caroline's answer, your mom did. That's not AI. She really texted
00:59that. And then she posted the full exchange, hoping to sling more insults at the reporter.
01:04But it backfired. People are horrified by the immaturity. It's like high school all over again.
01:11Kristen Bell's anniversary post didn't go over too well either. So she marked 12 years of marriage
01:16by revealing that Dax Shepard once told her he'd never kill her. Gee, that's nice. Dax said even
01:21though a lot of men kill their wives and he's heavily incentivized to, he never would. So some
01:26people found her openness tone deaf. And I mean, that was kind of TMI. Even Dateline commented on
01:33the post. I can't. But at least she marked the occasion at all since she did initially forget
01:38about it. Dave Grohl's wife is putting the past behind her. They just made their first red carpet
01:44appearance since Dave revealed he welcomed a secret baby outside their relationship. They've been married
01:49for 22 years and shared three daughters. And at one point, a source told us divorce lawyers were
01:54getting involved. But now it looks like they patched things up and are taking on this next chapter
01:59together. JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are pretty open when it comes to their whirlwind relationship,
02:05but they kept fans waiting for their red carpet debut, which finally happened on Tuesday at the
02:10Dances Against Cancer Gala in Beverly Hills. And they couldn't keep their hands off each other.
02:15Hello. JoJo opted for a black floor length gown while Chris popped in brown polka dots.
02:20We've come a long way from Celebrity Big Brother, y'all.
02:24The way Callum Turner and Dua Lipa met was one for the books. This is what Callum told the Sunday
02:29Times. It was over drinks before a mutual friend's birthday party in LA. So they sit next to each other
02:35and realize they're reading the same book. It must have been a real page, Turner. See what I did there?
02:41And when he told her he just finished the first chapter, she replied, she did too. So then he
02:47says, so we're on the same page. I mean, it doesn't get any more perfect. Callum called it something out
02:52of a Hollywood blockbuster. Oh, maybe more like an award-winning novel with a very happy ending
02:58because now they're engaged. The Louvre has officially reopened as police investigate the jewelry
03:05heist heard around the world. And if you're like me, you've got questions. So let's ask them.
03:11Hey, Mika, how's it going? It's going good, Liam. But let's talk about this.
03:15How did the thieves pull this off in broad daylight? This is a totally crazy story. Police believe four
03:21people were involved. Two wearing these yellow vests, posing as workers, two others riding scooters.
03:27And they used these small chainsaws and angle girders to get into the room that they were targeting.
03:33What exactly was taken? Well, according to the French Ministry of Culture, there was a sapphire
03:38tiara, a sapphire necklace, and a single sapphire earring worn by both Queen Marie Amélie and Queen
03:45Hortense. Also a matching emerald necklace and earrings worn by Napoleon's second wife, Marie Louise.
03:51There was a tiara and a large brooch that belonged to the Empress Eugenie and a brooch called the
03:56Requillary Brooch. Now, if you add all this together, it's estimated about 88 million euros,
04:02which is the equivalent of about 102 million U.S. dollars. But even that figure is outweighed by
04:09the huge cultural significance of these pieces. What would someone do with all that, right? Because
04:14it's not like you can take it to your local pawn shop, right? No, you're absolutely right. And,
04:19you know, I asked an expert about this who said that they really couldn't sell these intact,
04:24right? They're too recognizable. So what's likely going to happen is they'll be broken down or melted
04:30down and recut so they can hide any evidence of the crime. And as he told me, you know,
04:37they might catch the criminals, but there's a good chance they won't recover the jewels.
04:42Well, friend, I guess diamonds aren't forever, huh? Well, I'll talk to you later, Liam.
04:46Of course. Talk to you later. Bye.
04:48So last week, we learned that Prince Andrew was voluntarily giving up his royal titles and honors,
04:55and the royal family wasted no time. His official page on their website is already changed. While it
05:01previously referred to him as the Duke of York, now it just says Prince Andrew. He's also still
05:06featured on the landing page with all the family members, just way down at the bottom. And Andrew's
05:11ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, followed suit by removing the Duchess of York from her social media.
05:16This all stems from accusations tying Andrew to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. He acknowledges
05:21distracting from the royal family's work, so he's putting family and country first. He still denies
05:27the allegations, but that may not even matter because Prince William reportedly plans to be
05:31much stricter on his uncle. This means no invites to public or private royal events,
05:37not even William's coronation when the time comes. And our thoughts are with Jimmy Fallon this week,
05:43who paid an emotional tribute to his first baby, his golden retriever, Gary. Gary was a part of the
05:49Fallon family for over 13 years, as big sister to Jimmy's daughters Franny and Winnie. He remembers
05:55Gary as a comedian and a party girl who was always smiling. And Jimmy's not the only one mourning a pet
06:00this week. Kylie Jenner's Italian greyhound, Norman, also passed away. She got him right after she
06:06turned 17, so he was with her for almost 12 years. She's devastated by the loss, but also happy
06:12knowing her kids got to meet him. Good girl, Gary. And good boy, Norman. Rest in peace.
06:18Now it's to sit down with Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Hi, Mary.
06:22Your new movie, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, premieres tomorrow on Hulu and Disney+.
06:27This is a reimagining of the original. How did it being a remake affect your mindset and your
06:32performance, if at all? I remember the original. It's iconic. I definitely like everything about it
06:38kind of like live somewhere in my brain, but I didn't actually see it because I was so young
06:42when it came out. I was just a little bit too young to see it, or if I had seen it,
06:46it might have been a little much. So I fell in love with the script. I fell in love with the characters.
06:51I was like totally, totally in. And then I looked up the original and I read the synopsis and I
06:56realized how kind of far apart they were in terms of the characters and the backstories. And
07:01so I kind of thought, I think I'm going to stay away from it because I don't think it's going to inform
07:05this character that I'm playing. Cause she, she kind of lives in a different world.
07:10Your character in this movie really goes through it. It's fierce. Are you a character actor?
07:15It was draining, especially, um, you know, as the film goes on and I've got more and more scenes
07:20that are like incredibly heightened emotions. So I think at the end of those days, I did feel
07:25kind of exhausted, but there's something cathartic about doing that. As long as you're doing it in
07:30like a really safe space with people that like love you and support you. And we're all here to kind of
07:35make something that we love. It just feels like a cathartic thing. I was like, get together and
07:39cry and scream and, you know, run around and then you just get to go home and be normal. Um, so it's
07:46a funny thing that we do, but, but I love it. We know you and hubby, you and McGregor are super busy.
07:52How do you make time for each other? We just, you know, it's just try to spend time together
07:56however we can. And it's like, yeah, if there's a date night, that's great. Or sometimes it's, um,
08:02you know, it might not just be the two of us, but it's us going out with friends or just even like,
08:06you know, cause our, our sons and kind of nursery now. And so during the day we have a little bit
08:10of time together. So sometimes we steal those moments. We'll go to lunch, you know, we get
08:15coffee. So we tend to have more kind of daytime dates, I guess. Um, but it's lovely.
08:21The last time we talked for a gentleman in Moscow, your son, Lori was having a big human body face
08:27and was super into intestines and stuff like that. Has he further developed his love of anatomy
08:32or are we moving on to other pursuits? He has other pursuits now. So it's not as intense as it was,
08:38but it still exists. We were actually at like a soft play place the other day and he was making
08:44me pretend the slide was an esophagus and we were going down the esophagus into the stomach,
08:50into the ball pit, which was the stomach. So he's still, it's still on the brain.
08:54And of course, Ewan's daughters, Esther and Clara followed in his footsteps. They're both so
09:00talented. What are the chances we could see all four of you collab one day?
09:04That would be amazing. You know, they're so lovely and talented and just kind of like
09:09soaring and flying in their own directions and doing such good work. And so I think,
09:14yeah, I think if there was any opportunity that was the right thing, um, we would love that. So who
09:19knows? You know, we have to ask about Esther and Ewan's shared co-star Nicole Kidman.
09:24We just saw her at Paris Fashion Week. She looks so gorged with her daughters.
09:29Have Esther or Ewan been in touch with her at all?
09:31Oh yeah. I mean, um, you know, I remember when the film came out, you know, there was definitely
09:36so much love between the three of them and, um, Nicole was so lovely to both of them and there's
09:41so much support there. So yeah, that was a really beautiful thing.
09:45Okay. We're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Tell everyone why they should check out
09:48the hand that rocks the cradle. Ready? Go.
09:51If you want to be horrified and excited and on a rollercoaster of emotion in a way that
09:58makes you root for them and care about them and be entertained.
10:04Mary, thank you so much for dropping by today.
10:06Thank you so much.
