00:00In Venezuela, President Nicolás Moro denounces a campaign promoted by the far-right which seeks
00:16to destroy the image of the country. In Honduras, plans to undermine democracy
00:25continue to rebuild as the country prepares for elections amidst a climate where signs
00:31of attempts to sabotage the elections continue to proliferate.
00:42Israeli occupation forces once again attack the residential areas of the Palestinian city
00:46of Gaza, leaving more than 20 people killed.
00:53Hello, welcome to From the South, I'm Sofia Fernandes from Norte de los Sur Studios in
00:59Havana, Cuba. We begin with the news, stay with us!
01:13In Venezuela, President Nicolás Moro denounces that the far-right is promoting an international
01:18campaign to render the Venezuelan people invisible. The President denounces the existence of a
01:24campaign promoted by sectors of the right that seeks to distort the reality of the country
01:29from abroad, especially in northern nations. The Herostate assured that despite the attempts
01:34to project an image of weakness, Venezuela continues to consolidate its own democratic
01:38and liberal path based on popular sovereignty. Maldo highlighted the strengthening of the union
01:48between the people, armed forces, expanded national militia and the police forces based on popular
01:54sovereignty to consolidate peace and democracies through the national territory.
02:06Furthermore, President Nicolás Moro called for an end to the genocide in the world and the world caused by the United States Empire.
02:12Building a democracy like this takes time, because you have to awaken the people, and it has taken time to awaken them decades, sometimes centuries.
02:24You have to educate the people, give them values, consciousness, and you have to do it by empowering them step by step, so that the people, awaken, educated, empowered, and conscious, can have their own destiny in their hands, and don't depend on anyone else. Let's not expect anything from anyone but ourselves.
02:48Furthermore, President Nicolás Moro also called for an end to the genocide and war in the war caused by the United States Empire.
03:01There were 40,000 indigenous people of the Caracas tribes in the Caracas Valley, in a small part that you got to know, because now it is greater Caracas, 40,000, and 80 years later than the United States.
03:17And 80 years later, after a census was conducted, there were 1,800 of them left. What can you call that? That's a genocide. That's extermination. That's the truth. Let's learn from history.
03:33The good things and the bad things, and let's tell the empires of the 21st century. No to war, no to genocide, no to killing. Peoples have the right to live, to exist, and to grow as they wish.
03:49The Venezuelan agricultural sector is advancing in diversification and innovation.
04:17A correspondent, Andrea Romero, shows us a successful sheep form initiative in the Aragua state that stands as a model of efficiency and profitability.
04:30Investment at this center targets the import of the best sheep bloodlines from Brazil, focusing on the Santa Ines breed.
04:39Production manager Victor Hernandez explains why this sheep is the best suited to the Venezuelan tropics.
04:45In our experience and studies, it's a very adaptable breed for the country, with extraordinary maternal ability, and excellent weight gains.
05:00It adapts anywhere in the tropics. These are very prolific sheep, excellent mothers. We've been bringing the best genetics from Brazil,
05:15gradually absorbing it here. At the center, we have 10 to 20 lines from top Brazilian breeders' embryos and artificial insemination.
05:30In terms of care, sheep offer high profitability due to easy handling in small spaces and their great reproductive capacity.
05:37Sheep here are so easy to manage. Look at this space, just 6 by 6 meters.
05:46We have 7 adult sheep, each with lambs. It's very hygienic, easy to manage.
05:55They can be fed in small spaces. The feeder is simple. Handling is really easy, anywhere.
06:08And they're very productive. One female can have 1.5 lambs per year, meaning 3 in 2 years.
06:18The center uses advanced biotechnology, including embryo transfer, as a key driver for producing purebred animals.
06:28Ricardo González explains why this is important and how Venezuelan producers are seeing better meat yield.
06:35It's a breed that improves the whole commercial flock, so they can get more weight at birth and less time to market.
06:47It, all goes to final consumption.
06:54For example, we were in Barinas talking with several producers, and one of them caught our attention,
07:00a black sheep producer who has been in commercial production since 2017.
07:05Two years ago, she introduced purebred breeders, and the improvement in her stock, in terms of the benefits she is already providing to the end consumer,
07:14has resulted in a completely different yield than what she had managed five years ago.
07:21Although profitable, business failures are mainly due to lack of education and management and animal health.
07:31During our tour, we confirmed that the myth of Santa Inés is a pure-blood-only breed is false.
07:36The breed allows for various registered combinations beyond just the black color.
07:42Genetic success is complemented by daily management. Staff routines and discipline ensure animal welfare.
07:54Finally, sector-wide organization is essential, which is why Venezuela has the country's union of sheep breeders.
08:05The association we currently belong to, the Union of Sheep Breeders of Venezuela, was created to organize the development and benefits of modern Venezuelan sheep farming.
08:20The work here translates not just into high-performing animals, but into an integrated model that combines top biotechnology with professional organization.
08:33And now, we have a short break coming up. But first, remember, you can join us on TikTok at Telesur English,
08:38where you will find news in different formats, news updates, and more. We'll be right back. Stay with us.
08:43Welcome back.

10:43This plan is based on economic justice, security and defense, mega-public investment, reform of the justice system, foreign policy,
11:00the environment and strategic sectors, social justice, and the right to the truth.
11:10The right to the truth of all peoples. That is where our plan is founded.
11:17With a solid constitutional base, powerful, which we will defend forever, as we have done over the last 16 years,
11:30under the foundation of the principle of popular sovereignty.
11:35Also, the candidate for the Libre Party, Rick Simóncara, assured that on November 30th,
11:43the Honduran people will democratically confirm their another victory for popular sovereignty.
11:50I have traveled throughout the entire country, all 18 departments, and we are now close to concluding this electoral process.
12:03Ten days from Sunday, November 30th,
12:10Comrades throughout the nation, victory is ours.
12:20Victory belongs to the people in resistance.
12:23Be assured that once again, the people in resistance, with truth and reason, has defeated the dictatorship.
12:30Let us go peacefully, let us go democratically to the ballot box on November 30th,
12:46to confirm one more triumph of the people, one more triumph of popular sovereignty.

13:02and limits the number of visitors she can receive.
13:05The court ruled that the former president, who is under house arrest, may not receive more than two visits per week,
13:12which may not last over two hours, and are limited to three people at a time.
13:17It also establishes the possibility of removing house arrest in any circumstances that jeopardizes compliance with the established rules,
13:24which may be revised immediately.
13:27It should be noted that the decision was made by the judge of federal oral court second, Jorge Jorini.

14:08and to base its policies on the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other nations.
14:13They also rejected the decree allowing Dominican troops to join a military attack on Venezuela, calling it unconstitutional.
14:21In this measure, they demanded the country reaffirm its constitutional course and call for peace,
14:26demanding the withdrawal of all U.S. military forces from the Caribbean.

14:55According to Trump, the bill was passed by both houses of Congress with broad support,
15:00after he himself urged political leaders to push it forward.
15:04The president emphasized that Epstein was indicted by the Justice Department during his previous administration in 2019
15:10and highlighted his political ties, including several Democratic figures.
15:15He also criticized the Biden administration, which he said has not released any documents related to the case.
