00:00You like the bed?
00:01These two abandoned puppies were about four weeks old
00:03when I found them at the nearby temple.
00:06I'm Vanessa and the daughter reached out to me
00:08to tell the story of Sandy and Indy.
00:11Without their mom nearby,
00:12I knew that their chances of survival were really low.
00:15So I decided to take care of them.
00:20Look how thirsty it is.
00:22I noticed that one of the puppies, Sandy,
00:25wasn't feeling really well.
00:27Not bad.
00:29That's when I decided to bring them home with me
00:32and care for them.
00:36I took them to the vet
00:37and we found out that Sandy
00:39had a pretty severe case of tick fever.
00:44Fortunately, after a couple of weeks' treatment,
00:46she started to feel better.
00:53They spent a lot of time outdoors
00:56and they bonded with my own dogs and my cats.
01:00The two puppies got lots of rest,
01:03a lot of playtime,
01:07and they even get to enjoy the beach.
01:13Once they were strong and healthy,
01:15I knew they were ready to find their forever home.
01:17The family that we spoke with only wanted one dog,
01:21but Indy and Sandy were so bonded,
01:23I knew we couldn't separate them.
01:25They needed to be adopted together.
01:29One day, my neighbors approached me about the pups
01:32and they ended up adopting both girls.
01:36It's so wonderful to be able to visit them every day.
01:42I have loved watching them growing up
01:45and I feel like now we are all a big family.
01:48This is something for me.
