00:00Heisman Futures, let's wet our beak on this a little bit.
00:05Do you have any favorites out there?
00:07Are there someone that maybe has some value that's underrated?
00:10I know we're getting late in the year, so it's hard to find it.
00:12Let me just make sure I double-check the price on my man, Haynes King,
00:16because despite the loss against NC State,
00:18he had more than 500 yards of total offense
00:21and at least four total touchdowns.
00:23And if Georgia Tech is going to win the ACC,
00:26which they still have a great chance of doing,
00:27and play in the college football playoff,
00:29that is going to bolster the resume.
00:31But it's 100-1.
00:32I said last week, Bobby, and I stick with it.
00:34I think it's a two-quarterback race.
00:36I think it's Julian saying, and I think it's Fernando Mendoza.
00:39Mendoza had another Heisman moment.
00:41This is still a narrative war,
00:43despite what the stats and the odds might say.
00:46Mendoza had that Heisman moment
00:47in the incredible touchdown grab by Omar Cooper Jr.
00:50last week in State College.
00:52Now, a lot of Ohio State fans let me know
00:54that because he has thrown a fourth-quarter interception
00:56in those road games
00:58and had to come back with his team tied or trailing
01:00should not be a boost to his Heisman profile.
01:04I get that.
01:05I understand.
01:06I just found this stat right before I came on the show,
01:08and I wanted to share it.
01:09Julian Sayan has five games this year
01:12as Ohio State's quarterback
01:13with at least 300 passing yards,
01:15three passing touchdowns,
01:17and a completion percentage at 78% or better.
01:20There have been eight total
01:21such FBS games in 2025,
01:24and the Ohio State quarterback
01:25has five of those eight.
01:27Already, since offensive stats were fully tracked in 1995,
01:31Sayan's five games with at least 300 yards,
01:34three touchdowns,
01:34and a 78% completion percentage or better
01:36are the most in a single season in FBS history.
01:41Already, Julian Sayan deserves all the credit
01:43and recognition that I think he is starting
01:45to get nationally,
01:47and I really think it's neck and neck
01:48between him and Mendoza for the Heisman trophy.
