00:00Two zeros, Joe.
00:01Somebody's going to have a one at the end of this game,
00:02but both will be moving on.
00:04But understand this as well.
00:05Julian saying Fernando Mendoza.
00:08Props in this game, 229.5 for Sam.
00:10206 for Fernando Mendoza.
00:13If we look at their touchdown, props here to throw.
00:15Over 1.5, minus 148 for Sam.
00:17For Mendoza, over 1.5 at a plus 130 price, Joe.
00:20I'm going to ask you about those in a moment.
00:22But this feels like it could be an unbelievable eliminator
00:25for who's going to win the Heisman Trophy.
00:28And if you look at the odds to win it,
00:30Mendoza plus 155, saying plus 200.
00:33Squeezed in there, Diego Pavia.
00:35Tell me about this game, Joe,
00:37and what it means to these quarterbacks
00:38and the expectations for you
00:39on how they can deliver in this game.
00:41Yeah, so you see the total 46.5, right?
00:44So we're expecting, I mean,
00:45the book's expecting a lower type of game.
00:48So again, if Mendoza throws for 200 yards,
00:51one touchdown, no interceptions, and they win,
00:53is that good enough to get them to Heisman?
00:55I don't know.
00:56He's got 32 touchdowns, five interceptions on the year,
00:59completing well over 70% of his passes.
01:01On the flip side, you have Sayan, 30 and five.
01:04Again, not as much of a household name as Mendoza.
01:08But again, he lights up Indiana,
01:10and all of a sudden, he throws for 330 yards
01:13and four touchdowns.
01:14He's going to explode onto the scene.
01:16So, you know, it's an interesting matchup.
01:19I'll just say this.
01:20When you look at this game,
01:22it's going to be, can Mendoza attack that secondary over the top?
01:25Because when you look at what Ohio State has done,
01:28they're only giving up 128 passing yards per game, Donnie.
01:31They are very good in the back end,
01:33holding opposing quarterbacks to a completion percentage under 60%.
01:37Yeah.
01:37They've only allowed five passing touchdowns all year.
01:40Amazing.
01:41So, again, I think Cooper,
01:42I think those wide receivers are going to have to be active.
01:45I don't think they take the approach of run the football first.
01:48I think they have to take the approach,
01:50play action on first and second down,
01:52open up the defense a little bit,
01:54then you could run a little bit later in this matchup.
01:57We know that Ohio State has a great front seven,
01:59holding opposing offenses to 75 rushing yards per game,
02:02two and a half yards per rush, going to be very difficult.
02:05But I will say, when you look at the body of work for Ohio State,
02:08this is the most explosive offense.
02:11They have played 56% conversion rate on third downs for Indiana.
02:16They're averaging basically 480 total yards per game,
02:20229 on the ground, 254 through the air.
02:23And when they run it, they are effective.
02:25The problem is going to be they are going to stock the box.
02:29And Ohio State's going to say, we're going to play big boy football.
02:31You have a Heisman Trophy winner or a potential guy,
02:35try and beat us over the top against our secondary.
02:38Easier said than done.
02:39But I still think Indiana could do it.
02:41I think Cignetti learned from last year.
02:44He has better weapons and a better quarterback than last year with Rourke.
02:48I think they win this ball game.
02:50Yeah, Rourke was out there at the end of the year like on a torn ACL,
02:52still trying to play some football here.
02:54Let's play scenario style in this game, Joe.
02:56I'm going to give you the final score at 23 to 20.
02:59Doesn't matter who wins the game,
03:00because I'm going to explain it this way.
03:01I feel for Nino Mendoza right now as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.
03:0623-20 score.
03:07It doesn't even, again, unless he threw three interceptions.
03:10They win, talking about Indiana, Joe.
03:12He's the Heisman.
03:13Reverse it.
03:1423-20 Ohio State.
03:16I don't think Cain's the Heisman.
03:18It's the Pavia.
03:18It'll go to Pavia.
03:19There you go.
03:20I agree, because he's right now plus 170, right?
03:23Entering the weekend, he was entering plus 170.
03:26He's not going to play.
03:27But, again, he has the hype.
03:29You think about Diego Pavia, right?
03:31You know, the hype for Vanderbilt in Nashville.
03:35He's got the stars hanging out with him.
03:38He's a household name.
03:40You know Diego Pavia.
03:42So, again, it's going to come down to if this game blows into the 50s
03:46and both of these quarterbacks light it up, then, yes, they could steal the show
03:50because they're going to have basically maybe close to 40 touchdown passes
03:54in college football, which is phenomenal with an undefeated record.
03:57We'll see exactly how this plays out.
03:59I will just say this.
04:00If Indiana, Donnie, can run the football, again,
04:04I don't think that's the approach tonight.
04:05I think they take the play-action pass first and throw it to run it later.
04:10But if they can run the football, they have six games this year
04:13where they rushed for over 300, undefeated, the margin of victory,
04:18and one of them is included with an FCS opponent, 47.3 points per game.
04:25I mean, that's almost 50.
04:27That's unheard of.
04:29You're covering numbers whether you be a dog or a favorite in that type of situation.
04:34And I talk about the front seven for Ohio State.
04:37You know, they are one of the best in the nation, 81 yards per game allowed,
04:412.7 yards per rush.
04:43This is going to be the matchup.
04:45I hope that Cignetti is more aggressive with the passing attack
04:49because if they just play it straight up, that's a game that Ohio State wins.
04:53Answer me this too, Joe, because all year long we've been impressed with Ohio State,
04:56particularly defense.
04:57But sometimes you look at their roster of games and say it's a little bit underwhelming.
05:01Loved what they did against Michigan last week,
05:02but that's a Michigan offense that tends to struggle.
05:05Indiana doesn't struggle.
05:06Ohio State is built for it.
05:08You give me 22 degrees and windy conditions, we'll shut you out.
05:10This is in a dome against an offense that they haven't seen all year.
05:14Is this going to change your mindset?
05:16Because, again, both of these teams, you know, win or lose,
05:17they're going to the college football playoff.
05:19If Indiana wins this, are they your favorite to win the national championship at that point?
05:22Yeah, because, again, you pick apart.
05:26It's how they win.
05:26They pick apart this defense tonight through the air, which, again, I'm not suggesting that.
05:32I think they win the game, but it's on Mendoza.
05:35He's got to live up to the hype.
05:37If he picks apart through the air something that Arch Manning couldn't do, they win.
05:42Woo.
