00:01It's about moving forward from today.
00:04Whatever it takes to fix it is what has to happen.
00:08That's better. That is faster.
00:12Nobody needs to know.
00:14I'm racing this car at Silverstone.
00:16It's two-driver. Do you want to have a laugh?
00:19I bloody loved it.
00:23After four rollercoaster years
00:25in the classic car restoration business, that worked.
00:28I'm going to claim my thought of everything.
00:30It seems I've finally cracked it.
00:33Happy customer. That's a good feeling.
00:35We've dragged our PR department.
00:37You're going to get your asses over here damn quick.
00:39Into the 21st century.
00:41Our reach on that day was 317,000 people.
00:46And as brand ambassador,
00:48if you happen to have a car in the UK ever,
00:51I'm leading the charge.
00:53This is brilliant.
00:55At least that's what I thought.
00:57If you've over-promised,
01:00you can't under-deliver.
01:02Until my mum arrived.
01:04They won't listen to me.
01:05They'll listen to me.
01:06And it turns out that once again,
01:08I'm in deep trouble.
01:10I'm going to have to do something.
01:12I'm going to have to do something big.
01:13Oh, my God.
01:14I'm going to have to do something big.
01:15Oh, my God.
01:16I'm going to have to do nothing big.
01:17So, I go to your학 Gordon.
01:18I go desertivel.
01:19See you later.
01:23And now that its visto.
01:24Cocesso.
01:25To clean someone fast manage it
01:34You wake upพurcyard.
01:35I am pretty excited about this opportunity to go racing with Patrick Blakeney Edwards my mate
01:42and there's a slight issue in that to race with him at his level I've got to upgrade my racing
01:49license but I've done a bit of reading and researching and to do that I just need to do a
01:54little bit of marshalling at another race so thinking about it that's like a win-win so I've
02:00got to do a bit more racing to do some more racing which is why I've dragged the MGB out of storage
02:05and I'm taking into the workshop to give it a once-over and this is good morning H how are you
02:25I'm good good good good but um why is that here it's a race car isn't it well I can see it's a
02:31race car but why is it here well because I've been given the chance to do like a next level race with
02:36Patrick and to do it I've got to get my license upgraded and I do that by doing some more races
02:42in that to get the signatures so I've brought this in to give to the lads just give it one
02:46server and make sure it's not gonna explode and it works so you're thinking of banging that in the
02:52workshop and using more workshop time and then they can come and just you know they do what they
02:58love doing be my workshop team they enjoy it on the day for that being the team surprise that they
03:02enjoy it but it's not making money no but if they're being a race team it's motivational and
03:08yeah I'm gonna be fair yeah I think under my watch that's not happening do you know what the
03:16Pomeroy trophy cost no that cost you 10 grand can't take the lads no it can't happen like that rich
03:23okay I'll think of another way okay probably already happening okay good man see you in a bit
03:27reluctantly you have to admit Adrian's probably right um I can't be spending workshop resources
03:42on that and it's not like we're awash with cash at the best of times but there's an issue um I have
03:50kind of already committed to a race at Silverstone coming up very soon
03:56it's awkward while I let that little problem percolate I'm hoping a trip up north to see an old
04:06mate called Ellis will help show Hadrian I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to business
04:11so I used to sell antique pine furniture and then deliver it in my little van
04:18and I worked alongside Ellis okay such a small world hey
04:23Ellis and I shared a love of bikes and now nearly four decades on he's launching a new boutique British
04:31motorcycle brand and wants our help this is awesome this is gonna be the smallest cogs first
04:37collaboration with a manufacturer and a brand yeah it would be I can do with some social content oh
04:41yeah they're going to their big factory there now no no no it's not Honda
04:45oh there's motorcycles you see straight away I'm happy the prototype bikes have been designed and
04:55built in a home garage with the help of business partner Ian hello hello it nice to see you mate this is Lewis
05:03hi yeah nice to meet you all right right so we have the initial chair I haven't seen one yet can we have a look at the bike before we do anything
05:11of course so is this number one it is genuinely yeah yeah yeah so these guys because they're mad at a time when the motorcycle market is struggling yeah and the record of small independent
05:31manufacturers succeeding is disastrous um you're launching will you stop it now
05:37brilliant I would never have forecast this when we knew each other 30 40 it's not 40 years 50
05:47set up some some years ago that you've been doing this so what is it what what's the what's the story
05:53where's the engine come from the engines from Italy what capacity is it 600 parallel to it single single yeah and
05:59we just wanted to make something like the bikes we used to ride when we were kids we just tried to
06:05be as lean as possible how many are you hoping to make if we got to the point where we're making a
06:09couple of hundred a year it'd be great right can I have a set on your motorcycle you can you can
06:15valet yeah you can be nice to me now because I was always scared of you when we worked
06:21yeah I like the layout of it it's quite off-roady feeling so what's this one in it so this is same
06:37engine but different bodywork it's got slightly more ducktail on it it has yeah so it's more of a
06:41flat tracker type style I call right so what when and how can the smallest cog help we are looking
06:48for someone to paint the tanks yeah but we also need some suggestions for colors what have you got
06:53so far so we've got the blue the black and the red and how did you arrive at those he looked at the
06:59internet for 10 years okay so blue black and red these incredible new colors you discovered we'll come
07:05up with some suggestions I'd love us to have a think about some sort of special finishes as well
07:10when are you hoping to be in production this year right I can see it being quite a good launch with
07:16the smallest cog as well yeah some sort of launch and get the press to see it um Alice I think you
07:23might be able to shed some light on a particular I was doing a little bit of a reading when did you
07:30last read well it had pictures in it hold on oh ready for that's not what I think it is just firstly
07:38oh firstly let's look at the first this is a long time ago now there's a particular page you might be
07:45able to tell me about this man well firstly that is an intact works van right and on Richard's commute
07:52one particular bend there was a very old oak tree I went off the bend and hit the tree the van was
07:58totaled the following week a new van was delivered and history repeated no way yep the following week
08:05brand new van same same tree same band I wasn't expecting that two van consecutive weeks my god so
08:12that's crashing from day dot then yeah yeah so what's great is actually to see a one piece
08:17reno van I'm taking that off you I don't know where you got it I'm gonna go out and get one of those
08:22books this is kind of the ultimate men in sheds and I'm not being rude to them when I say that
08:30because they want to be in full production and I think we're about ready to give this a go
08:34a sense of fun so the guys at Mac go to anybody shop and they've decided to come to us so I really
08:54want to show off what we can do and hopefully we get the contracts
09:04I'm not taking any pleasure in watching this video because I know there's a race car crash coming
09:19and I know it's my mate in the car but I'm going to watch it anyway and here he comes he's lost it
09:23oh that went over that's up that's in the wall yeah well actually he's more than a mate he's a colleague
09:32Mark Sandman I've worked with him for to measuring decades on Grand Tour and Top Gear he's a mad keen
09:40racer in his classic mini and well as I just saw he bent it at an event but the good news is he's
09:48brought it to me to get it mended right I'm gonna go and see the wreckage nice to see Mark as well
09:53here he comes all sound men have a van and there's his van there will be a soldering iron in there
10:07lots of different types of tape but more importantly behind it there's his little race car look at it
10:13hi mate hello Richard isn't it lovely oh it was a bit lovelier this is the problematic corner
10:21oh it's bruised hmm yeah what that is is the wrong shape now yes has it bent the shell it has bent the
10:28shell if you open the door of truth here it bolts in at the back fine but here it doesn't want to line
10:34up is definitely a bit wonky oh mate well we've got to get it right it's a shame but it's all right
10:39I mean it's been a rally car since the early 1990s it's got these lovely Monte Carlo stickers because
10:45for this car won the historic Monte Carlo in 2003 all we need to do is get Matt to go over it because
10:50he likes nothing more than getting things in the right shape that is the job for him
10:54to think about it it is interesting time marks mini coming in cars well it's kind of proof that
11:06there is work to be had from the racing world so I am going to take on board Hadrian's suggestion
11:13but he he didn't say don't do any more racing specifically said don't do any more racing using
11:20cog resources and money and people yeah I think of a way around that my amazing contacts if this
11:29business becomes like a huge success it's down to me hello Les how are you all right how's the mirror
11:39is it raining if it's not check you're in the right place mate um I've got a quick question um yes how do
11:49you fancy a trip to Silverstone that sounds brilliant you won't be standing around like
11:53spectating you'll be closer to the action oh hang on what do you mean close to the action ah you see
11:59I've piqued your interest haven't I you'll have to bring the smaller of your farmers hammers yes and
12:04perhaps a screwdriver yeah yeah yeah I'll let you know I'll let you know bye bye bye bud right let's see
12:12who else I can rope in Zog how you doing I've put two coats of color on I'm really happy with the
12:27outcome anyone can do this it's just a standard straight color and we've got 10 tanks for me to
12:32have a play with and I can literally do whatever I want so that's where it you've got to show your skill
12:37oh Jamie early for lunch isn't it you wouldn't want to eat this that's not paint is it no this is
12:52urea urea yeah from what animal normally a pig so that's a pot of pig pee basically yeah but it comes
12:59in the crystallized form so what we do we dissolve that in water reacts with the paint and cracks the
13:05paint doesn't come out the pig like that no I hope it's doing yeah have you done this before no you
13:11taking the piss you are you literally dip that in get that nice and wet oh it's warm it's warm
13:21people you don't mix this with the paint then no no this is going to recrystallize on the tank is
13:27that the idea once it crystallizes you put a coat of black on it and we won't know what pattern we've
13:33got until we've wiped off the crystals yeah you can see slightly but you won't get the proper effect
13:39until we put the black on plenty of pig pee right am I doing this yes please it's a brilliant theory it
13:52works on the internet now let's have a go in a professional workshop situation nurse I've just
14:01been told Hammond is putting his hands on a paint gun so content for the Mac motorcycles content for
14:07the workshop because Richard's on a gun let's go just clean it off now and I'm aiming to take just
14:22the crystals yeah leaving the silver to shine through from below right and then just gently very
14:29gently yeah it sort of reveals itself that is the random effect you get from the crystals these look
14:39like ferns here look at that it is a natural effect crystals form naturally it sort of nature did that
14:45and then the last phase is we then paint special type of paint over the top of the whole thing yeah and
14:50where the silver is it'll shine through that paint that's exactly right and this is the smallest cog in
14:57action hey teamwork making the dreams work yeah it's quite artistic this process this is what I want us
15:12to do do do that bit more add value do something clever and a bit special I've no idea what they'll
15:17make of it I really haven't and they're coming tomorrow I'll have to explain how we did it I'll be
15:23just gotta be careful when we unveil it just put it there as a watch everybody getting ready for the
15:46guys to arrive from Mack motorcycle I'm just beginning to wonder have I overdone it because
15:53Ian and Ellis are they're actually quite conservative in that in their outlook they're not going crazy they
15:58want to just set up a good functioning little motorcycle company then I've presented them with
16:03a variety of options including a petrol tank painted using pig pee gentlemen hello how are you we're in
16:21good shape how about you we've painted some tanks we've got some different stuff to show you should
16:24just go and have a look it's gonna here we are are we going down if you get to me oh yeah that's
16:36why we've tried all sorts of stuff just to see how they come out twin color looks good yeah so we've
16:43got another experimental one that we've dressed the bike up with just to more yeah I mean you may not
16:48like it you may like I don't know but it's just worth trying a different outfit and it's a different
16:54bike isn't it you know I would never have thought that color it's really produced that effect but
16:59there's one last thing come and have a look at this you'll have to come around because we went a
17:04bit berserk Wow it's amazing isn't it I was this funny I'm just wondering can we try it on the bike
17:12we might look up on the bike yeah no should we try it on definitely oh my goodness look at that god
17:22that looks cool that's completely changed it again cool that does look reassuringly expensive that is
17:30good we can do more this is the first time we've tried something that's really different but it
17:36definitely works so what we'd really like to do is take it somewhere where we can show it off and
17:41where do you want to do it and when it'd be really cool if we could do something like the TT there's a
17:45lot of bikers there it is the biggest motorcycle event in the world isn't it it's not a lads trip
17:51well we could buy a bit of a lads trip I'm totally up for that
17:54no I can't do that Lewis um I refuse to knock on your door because it wouldn't be right okay so
18:10quite exciting mac boys they're thrilled happy day and a really good idea is come out of it okay we
18:15want to launch them at the Isle of Man TT Wow I mean what better place and that's where
18:20God help us you come in because it's an event it's gotta have people there I won't press there
18:27social media how long we got ah well soon but internet that is your thing
18:34okay I've got this little mini in rear corner damage subframe isn't lining up anymore just in
18:50this corner we can clearly see that we're probably at least 10 nil out the best way to straighten it is
18:56obviously to strip it to a bare shell put this car on a jig and they can reverse the impact however it's
19:04not concourse car it's been raced through most of its life and there's no point in spending thousands
19:10of pounds so we're going to try and do an alternative way of kind of fixing it
19:15Matt's hoping his improvised contraption will do the same job as a frame jig which stops a car twisting
19:26during heavy repair work I'll feed this bar up to you Isaac this looks like a seven arm operation the
19:34bolted on aluminium frame should prevent excessive movement when the 10 ton hydraulic ram pushes the
19:41body shell square again well that's the theory if it doesn't work it was your idea was it oh yeah
19:50right so after looking at earlier so it's got to be eight mil further it might look a bit odd measuring
20:01marks mini but actually it's really important because of the way a mini is built up until the
20:07mini arrived most cars have been built with like a separate chassis and then the body bolted onto that
20:12whatever body you want so the two were separate the mini was groundbreaking because it's a very early
20:18monocoque car that means there is no separate chassis the body kind of is the chassis it relies
20:23on its shape for its strength are you ready yeah let's go I don't normally get nervous but I'm quite
20:35nervous we move in yeah it's moving I much you've gone three mil so far it looks like it's pushing the
20:45back quite squarely I can see it move in the arch and it's straight and this kink out from the
20:50outside that kinks virtually gone now you're point eight now so you've gone six six mil that's getting
20:59pretty tight now that's that's pretty good yeah oh yeah yeah we've got seven mil haven't we yeah
21:08what do you reckon I'm quite happy that's about right that's bang on yeah I think we're quite good
21:14there that's straightened up really happy with that like super happy it's actually paid off I'm quite
21:21relieved now I need to relieve myself so we're pulling this dent out plan is to put your claw on there use the
21:36right as a tensioner to pull kind of the method of straightening it out when you don't have a jig
21:43all right so I get Richard to just to hold the car just in case it slides on the side that wouldn't
21:49be a bad show Richard Hammond off the TV what can we use your assistance please I wonder when you'd
21:59ask right this is primitive isn't it yeah this is Mark Sandman he loves this mini and you've got
22:04it on the rack you ready yep oh oh it's moving it is moving slowly slowly that is amazing actually
22:21you might have to give this a bit of a tap from the inside as well the original logo for this
22:29company featured the legend classic car craft well that is not bad is it yeah that's come out really
22:38nicely to be fair well I enjoyed that chaps thank you very much I'm gonna try to forget I ever saw it
22:43good luck thank you thank you bye so glass yeah your pants see Richard sent me a message earlier about
22:59racing yeah about that he wants to go racing but he doesn't want to cost the cog any money time so he's
23:07brought along lesson Zog to run this car which probably not the people I'd pick but you know
23:14the basics last yeah yeah okay I've got an idea so what type of pressures are you gonna be running
23:19about 30 and basically when he goes out you set him about 27 when he comes back in they should be
23:25running about 30 hot yeah and then if it's wet have we got slicks no this is all we've got we've got
23:32no spare anything else I mean Richard did mention it overheats quite a bit we got to a
23:37point where it wasn't too bad if it does overheat that's a Richard issue he's got gauges in there
23:42at time if it's overheating so we can back off and treat it right it flashes in there yeah but at the
23:48biggest thing you've got to remember yeah this is for Richard's safety more than anything right
23:52okay see the fire extinguisher yeah yeah that pin has to be out every time he goes out right okay
23:58because if he has an accident and he catches fire this time he's got an extinguisher I'm not sure what
24:03they know about racing so I'm a bit worried because at the end of the day that's my Doris and
24:09I don't want it getting hurt main thing is have fun enjoy it will do and bring my Doris back in
24:15one piece why are you calling it Doris his name was actually Doris Day because it only lasts a day
24:20that's a belting answer but now have great fun all right good to see your time I don't think I
24:28would have been Richard's first choice for race mechanic to be fair so he's obviously running out of friends
24:33Lewis Zog Ziegler how are you like a biscuit you don't keep this triangle at also by eating biscuits in the middle of the day I mean okay so you're off to Silverson
24:55yes and I'm gonna do your job do you use social media um I do have Instagram because I never make
25:03it work I put Instagram on and then I get a film that I'm okay so you have you have social media
25:08if we've gone in a search the smallest cock click on that boom and that takes us to your page
25:12nightmare mate Donald Trump won't just pop up like he often does well he will do yes because that's who
25:17you follow does he follow me I don't think he's colouring you but you do follow him all right so
25:22all I need to do is explain what's happening with the day you have to turn it round don't you there's
25:27something you can do to get me on do you know how to use a camera on your phone I used to have a
25:32brownie box this is gonna be a nightmare it is I warned you I will probably ask some people to help
25:40I'll find someone much much younger because the danger then is they think that you know this what's
25:44this old man talking to me for smells of piss and cabbage that's what all people smell like
25:50apart yeah I have zero hope it's race day and all I'm gonna do is finish today's race and I'll be
26:08just one step closer to competing in the motorsport big dog league to get me over the line I'll be
26:14relying heavily on my stand-in support team Les and Zog tell you what half past seven in the morning
26:22for God's sake it's not normal as well as boosting team morale Zog's on social media duty and I'm Zog
26:30I'm director of public rule okay my hair's a mess I'm director of public relations normally but um I've
26:38been called in to do the social media things you're also helping me with mechanics oh good luck with that
26:43mate and that ends the first part of social media look at you don't you look good man
26:49we slightly windswept windswept and interesting you were born to it you're absolutely born to it
26:58song now we just need to upload don't we right that's brilliant that's our first bit of social
27:03media cheers let's couldn't do with that it right chaps now the mission let us not lose sight of it yes
27:10the whole point of this exercise gets signatures on my license so I can race at the next level
27:14okay let's get it warmed up
27:15I have to say this coming racing with a sort of stripped out crew with no real engineers just
27:25those two idiots I'm loving it suppose you're just having a day out with your mates I couldn't find
27:30any I bought those two I've never been a mechanic I've been to lots of motor races but you can fiddle
27:35you can oh yeah yeah I can fiddle I don't know what the devil I'm doing today but I'm happy so it
27:39doesn't matter this is our racer hello ready to go in his wrong pursuit and dinky little booties
27:47right little mgb let's both get through today victory will be getting the signatures on my license
28:01that I need to move up a little that's all I gotta do
28:04so it's going to be one more lap to the start line we form up in grid order
28:19got our numbers ready so we know our stuff mate
28:28red lights are on handbrake is off
28:32what the f*** I think my clutch is on the way out
28:41I had a bad start just get it round remember it's all you're after doing
28:47here he is he's in the game
28:51be nice to get past this other MGB
28:57I did
28:59second from last
29:03ah mini I reckon I could probably get that
29:06yep I'm through
29:08he's made another place marvellous
29:12this could be risky if he runs wide I'm going to go inside him
29:16one of us is going to have to concede
29:22and it's him
29:26yeah
29:27wait a minute Richard do not overdrive yourself and break the car I'm just trying to complete the race
29:35oh shit I'm getting hot
29:42oh god
29:44it's flashing red now
29:49it's gone over a hundred
29:50I think I am just going to back right off
29:53it doesn't look very fast
29:56oh it's starting to smell hot now
29:59I'm going to kill the car
30:01you're working yourself into a lava les
30:05this is stressful
30:06I know I can see
30:07six minutes
30:09so that's like four laps
30:11please
30:13please make it
30:15oh this is agony
30:17one more lap
30:19one more lap after this
30:21and I'll have done it
30:22that's what we like
30:30I've done it I've done it
30:35I've done it
30:36I've done it
30:37thank god
30:38yay
30:40never has last place been celebrated so fine
30:43next stop gin
30:45wow
30:46gentlemen thank you
30:53haha
30:54my race team
30:56well done
30:57what a race team
30:58it was really hard
30:59not to get carried away and blow the car up
31:01but
31:02if I hadn't finished then I wouldn't get the signature I needed
31:04so okay
31:05I nursed it
31:06and I had a great time
31:07which is what I do
31:08all right
31:09all right
31:11Zog
31:12yes
31:13one of the pit boards that you and Les put out said

31:17yes yes
31:18can we do that bit
31:19yes please
31:20right we'll pick this up later
31:21another mechanical sympathy sodding
31:22thought you'd never ask
31:34customer coming in
31:35Mark
31:36my sound man I've worked with for about 25 years
31:39to get his racing mini
31:40and he's already in
31:41hello mate
31:43hello hello
31:44hello
31:45I like to see customer working on their own car
31:47that's good
31:48it's good doesn't it
31:49it looks fantastic
31:50are you happy
31:51yes I'm very happy
31:52good
31:53the thing I'm particularly excited about
31:54is that I tried to bolt the suspension up
31:56after I crashed it
31:57and it didn't fit
31:58and now
31:59it fits
32:00it's a great sign
32:01I'm very pleased because I was involved in straightening it
32:02I played it as I recall
32:04pretty pivotal role
32:05pivotal I heard it was pivotal
32:06it was it was largely down to me
32:09I'll probably check that it um
32:10works
32:11yeah check that it works
32:12um the other thing about this car of course
32:14because it's a race car
32:15how would it be up against my little mgb
32:17this would be a hell of a lot faster wouldn't it
32:19mmm I don't know
32:20come testing
32:21can we just be quite clear until I get a lot better
32:23there is no way am I going up against you on a track
32:25well
32:26because you've done this a lot and it would be annoying
32:28I've done it a bit
32:29I'll be very rude if you overtake me
32:31I can accidentally
32:33oh no
32:34I know where to get it fixed
32:35you could take out an entire field of race cars
32:38and bring it back
32:39and have six months worth of work
32:42they've done a really nice job of it
32:44and they've treated it with love and care
32:46which is the important thing
32:47you know it's a really special car to me
32:48I've known it a very long time
32:50so I'm really pleased what they've done
32:52today we are packing ready to go to the TT
33:08and in 39 years of motorcycle riding
33:12that's something I've never done
33:13I've never made it to possibly the most famous motorcycle race
33:17and one of the longest running in the world
33:19but we're not all going as tourists
33:21this is work
33:22we've arranged a little bit of a launch event
33:24for Mack motorcycles
33:26but obviously I'm packing my bike kit
33:29because you can't ride the TT and not ride the bike
33:35the plan is to cross to the Isle of Man by sea
33:38after meeting Ian and Ellis at the port
33:49Jamie a lot of bikes

34:05I am very excited about this whole mission
34:08I didn't think I'd be this many people to be honest
34:15obviously it's big but it's absolutely crazy
34:17let's check in and let the fun and serious work
34:21launching your new brand begin
34:27to the right
34:28this is pretty cool
34:37that's a lot of bikes

35:13please come down to Paradise Cafe
35:15I won't say that
35:16because it's the wrong place

35:18it's Paramount
35:19come to Paradise
35:20come to Paradise
35:21that's all you need to say
35:23I really hope Lewis's social media expertise
35:26outweighs his attention to detail
35:28a lot is riding on this
35:30see what I did
35:31go on then
35:32right
35:33I'm on my way to the legendary TT motorcycle race
35:36but it's not just the racing to be excited about
35:39there is a launch
35:40what's amazing is there's thousands of bikes below deck
35:46but everyone's looking at my work saying how good the paint work is
35:50it just makes you proud to put my name to them bikes
35:54what makes the Isle of Man TT so famous isn't just the fact that it's the oldest motorcycle race event in the world
36:09it's also the most dangerous
36:11with riders getting up to speeds of over 200 miles an hour on a track consisting entirely of public roads
36:18this is motorcycling's hallowed ground
36:22nearly 40,000 bikers make the annual pilgrimage
36:26can't believe we made it
36:38looks a bit like Blackpool doesn't it
36:43we're officially launching the bikes tonight
36:46getting the attention of these die-hard biking aficionados won't be easy
36:51but Lewis assures me it's in hand
36:53I've had a look on the phone and we've hit just nearly 175,000 views on the little video that Hammond did on the ferry
37:03spreading the word about our event this evening
37:05I was doing some schmoozing last night
37:11right
37:12and Mr TT have said that we can lead the legacy lap
37:17so these four are going to lead the 1,000 motorbikes around the full 37.5 mile track
37:24really?
37:25yeah
37:26never
37:27that's quite a cool launch
37:28just say that again
37:29we're going to be at the front
37:30we're going to be at the front showing off the bikes
37:32cool
37:33I don't know the way
37:35I'm lucky I have done a lot of stuff
37:44I've never done this
37:45I mean you can actually feel the ground shaking
37:48that's bent on her
37:51I'm going to stall and then the whole thing
37:54everyone on their sides
37:56soz
37:57oh movement is happening
37:59literally we're off
38:01oh that is incredible
38:10yes man
38:11sometimes the queue behind is eight miles
38:14I know it's nuts
38:15it's just forever
38:16absolutely yeah
38:17it's incredible
38:18miles and miles of bikes
38:20every possible height you can imagine
38:22is this the circuit
38:26this is the course
38:27this is the track
38:28oh yeah
38:29but it's stone walls
38:31and they pull like a hundred and whatever along here
38:33an average of over a hundred and thirty mile an hour
38:36it's insanity
38:37this manhole covers
38:39oh my god
38:40that's tight
38:41imagine that
38:42oh I've got it wrong
38:43oh I've got it wrong
38:44I've hit a church
38:45they're actually waiting to cross the road
38:52did I see the sign for 19 miles back there
38:57oh I don't know
38:58means we're only halfway
39:00I need a wee already
39:01me too
39:02so now we're going to go out up into the mountain
39:07looks a bit misty up there
39:09it must feel suddenly very lonely when you're racing
39:12it's all busy and then suddenly big speeds coming up
39:22the legacy lap pays homage to the incredible bravery of the riders who put their lives on the line to race at the TT
39:32I could get a little bit emotional about this
39:41I'm a biker
39:42I have been all my life
39:43and look at this
39:45we're coming down now to Balacrane which is a really famous turn
39:49wow
39:51right now it's quite graceful and flowing
39:53what it must be like at race pace I cannot imagine
39:56I think we need to do more bikes at the smallest cog
40:02it's a fact
40:09so the lads are on their way down from the circuit
40:11we're here at the Paramount City Cafe
40:13and here they come
40:14I can see Jamie's flashing beacons leading the pack
40:17it's like the red arrows
40:19how does it feel having your bike running up and down at the TT then
40:29this is the most extraordinary sensation
40:31it really is
40:32it's cool isn't it
40:3336 or whatever years ago working in your dad's antique pine place
40:37to here
40:38I'm speechless
40:39absolutely speechless
40:40respect duly paid time for business
40:51we all look lovely we're fresh and ready but what's the plan of action
40:56you've got a plan for if we get five or 50 people
41:00yes we do
41:01yeah yeah
41:02power of social media something tells me it's going to be quite busy
41:04feeling good all my paint works on display which is really nice for the guys to see
41:13bikes looking amazing
41:15there's a lot of people coming in now
41:17they're actually stopping people at the door so it's getting really busy so that's quite good
41:21Lewis try not to run over any of the attendees with the bike they've come to see launched
41:27it's an amazing turnout I can't believe there are people queuing outside
41:30standing room only
41:31why don't we hide
41:32why don't we hide
41:34ladies and gentlemen welcome to the paramount city coffee house for the official launch
41:39of Mack Motorcycles
41:40that's your comment
41:41thank you
41:44this is their launch and I want it to work for them because he's an old mate also for the smallish cog
41:49let's be honest
41:50we're all here because I'm guessing we all love bikes
41:54but few of us love bikes enough to set up our own mark
41:58but there are two guys here who did
42:01this is great
42:03I mean this is great for our socials
42:04I mean the videos I'm getting now are just going to pop off online
42:07setting up any kind of mark sounds like utter insanity
42:11such a reaction a couple of hundred people here probably more
42:14everyone giving us great compliments about the bike
42:16thank you so much for coming along to see us enjoy the rest of the races and that's your comment
42:20thank you
42:23how did that go
42:24just a massively positive reaction to the bike
42:26yeah to the paint work the style people loved it
42:30pretty spectacular what you've done
42:31yeah yeah we can literally paint any color we wanted to whatever designs we wanted
42:36out of this I think we're going to get a lot more work
42:40so tell us about this bike then
42:41so this one is set up as a cafe racer
42:44I think seeing people love the bike say how different it is we never thought that it would be this good
42:51people are looking at the bikes and really it's down to those two now it's their business it's their creation
42:58and also you know how fabulous the paint work is obviously because if you're a specialist in painting vehicles
43:03and you get to design the look of a brand new vehicle
43:06that's kind of cool
43:07yeah and the better they do the better this more as cog does it's kind of a win-win-win
43:11right time to inspect the newbies
43:15chaps you're starting on the condor yeah
43:18I assume there's a comprehensive workshop manual
43:20no there is nothing
43:21this is the vet come to tell me if my old pet's addict
43:24we're down to three mil on the bottom
43:26where's it gone?
43:27just wore away
43:28I have to do a day's marshalling
43:30I'm on the flag so you go outside
43:32I want to do the flag
43:34I have control of the situation
43:35and I can keep it up as long as I need to
43:37really?
43:41i can keep it up as easily
43:43I want to make it up as far as i think
43:44but i love that
43:45if i have strayed
43:46I won't explain that
43:50you can keep it from thearf
44:03t've never seen the ps when it comes I liked it
44:04the bright spring
44:05I'm on the floor
