00:01Ghouls and ghosts are loose again, but Mondo answers the call.
00:04Here's your spooky spot on the Mondo the Real Ghostbusters, Peter Venkman, and Sam Hange, Collector's Pack, Timed Edition.
00:30They're back to save the world in 1-12 scale.
00:41Complete with swappable hands and portraits, Mondo's Dr. Peter Venkman 1-12 scale figure is equipped with his trusty proton pack, Particle Thrower, and Ghost Trap.
00:48And each of our Real Ghostbusters comes paired with a goblin from the show.
00:51In this case, the friendly spectral accomplice, Slimer.
00:54Available for a limited time, the special collector's pack also includes the evil ghost of Halloween, Sam Hange, with swappable hands and portraits.
01:02The 1-12 scale Sam Hange is exclusively available as part of their collector's pack.
01:06Seems like we're still sticking with the theme of Halloween.
01:08And before we get a closer look, at the Real Ghostbusters, Peter Venkman, and Sam Hange, I'd like to thank the folks first at Mondo that did provide the sample.
01:16Mondo's The Real Ghostbusters are currently listed over on their site.
01:19The timed edition, though, that does come in clue as Sam Hange, unfortunately was selling out.
01:22It's sold for $202.
01:25However, though, if you're still interested to get yourself Dr. Peter Venkman and Slimer, the regular version is still going to be listed on their site for $101.
01:33So it sort of works its way out that Sam Hange cost about $100, well, it literally cost $100 more.
01:39We're going to, again, take the tape measure.
01:40We're going to see how tall these figures stand.
01:41I'm going to bring in also a few examples, too, for comparisons.
01:44First things first, though, to the dear doctor.
01:46Peter Venkman is going to stand at six and three-quarters of an inch in height, working out to be a figure that's about 16 and a half centimeters tall.
01:53Then, though, to the mascot of Halloween, no, not Sam, Sam Hange, you're looking, though, at the figure standing up to the stem of his pumpkin.
02:00Nine inches.
02:01Nine inches exactly.
02:03That's going to translate, though, to a figure that's 22 and a half centimeters tall.
02:07Mondo now marks the third company that's handled the Real Ghostbusters property.
02:10Anybody growing up, though, in the 80s would already know the Kenner line of Ghostbusters, and here's what Peter Venkman looks like, along with a slightly smaller Venkman.
02:17There was also a Diamond Select.
02:19Diamond Select did dabble in the dark arts.
02:21They only really released the core four.
02:22They released also a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer.
02:25Hoping, though, to find any one of those Ghostbusters, at the very least, though, Venkman.
02:28I couldn't find them in my collection.
02:30So we're going to at least, though, use the example of Kenner.
02:32Somebody also did make the recommendation that they actually pair really well with Jada Toys' recent releases of Scooby-Doo figures.
02:38And though I don't think they've ever really collaborated in the comics, certainly not in cartoons,
02:42the very idea, though, that Mystery Incorporated would also be working, then, with the Ghostbusters to bust the Spooks inspectors seems like a really fun idea.
02:49I hope that would be something that they'd ever do down the road.
02:51I tried my best, again, to separate the screen by all the exclusive items that come included the timed edition right over here,
02:56and then all the regular things that come included Peter Venkman right over here.
03:00Things that you may notice, though, right away is some cardboard cutouts of ghouls.
03:04What was cool, though, inside the box, though, was there was a big cardboard sheet.
03:08You get to pop these out and put them together.
03:10All it really is involved when it comes to putting these together is you get yourself a triangular standee that then slots onto the bottom of the ghosts,
03:17and you got yourself a couple of display stand pieces that you can have displayed along with the real Ghostbusters.
03:22They are, unfortunately, only going to be printed on the one side, but I don't really think it necessarily needs to be a double-sided image.
03:28You have Fearsome Flush, one of my favorites of the original Ghostbusters from Kenner.
03:32You also got the Big Eyeball Ghost, although in the Big Eyeball Ghost's case in the 80s, this would all have been, I think, done in purple, but the eyeball stays about the same.
03:41Again, these just attach in place.
03:42A fairly thick card, too.
03:43Love the fact that they include things like this.
03:45Just fun little things that you can display along with the figure.
03:47You also get yourself a flying bat eyeball.
03:49I don't think that's really what a bat flying eyeball would look like, or sound like, at least.
03:54And then finally, though, you get yourself kind of a scuba diving ghost.
03:58Again, it's only printed on the one side.
03:59Nice, thick card for these.
04:01Really do like the look of these.
04:02I think they've done a nice job on them, so you can put those right over there.
04:06Okay, so for the things that we get ourselves with Peter Venkman that are the timed edition, we basically inhabit the world of Samhain.
04:12I know it's not Samhain, it's Sauron, but in the cartoon and in the early days, even like Loomis would have misquoted the name of Samhain.
04:20And we'll kind of just stick with that.
04:22Samhain, though, does come include, again, some swappable parts.
04:25Mainly, though, the figure does only really have some swappable hands.
04:28So on the ends of his hands, he already has sort of grabbing, grabbing hands.
04:32But he does have, though, a relaxed hand.
04:34And he does also have a gripping hand.
04:36Although the gripping hand doesn't really, I don't think it really serves much purpose.
04:39I guess, if anything, you probably could latch it onto the arm of Slimer.
04:42So he could be, like, carrying around Slimer by his arm.
04:44I don't know, maybe.
04:46But again, you've got a couple of swappable hands.
04:48Not a bad thing at all.
04:50Each of, really, the individual piggies, whether they go to the market or not, are all well painted.
04:54You can see the nails on the ends of those.
04:56Cool-looking hands.
04:58Then the figure does also come include with some swappable heads.
05:00Now, getting this guy out of the packaging, I think this was the defaulted head that he had.
05:05Let's go ahead and pick up Samhain right now.
05:07All in all, just like one of my favorite ghosts from the Ghostbusters.
05:10I think right below, though, the Boogeyman.
05:12Now, the Boogeyman is also going to get paired with Spangler.
05:14So if you get the chance, get the timed edition, though, of Egon Spangler, it's going to come include with the Boogeyman.
05:19Oh, man, oh, man.
05:20That's a cool-looking ghost.
05:21But this one, though, does have more darker eyes.
05:24Now, don't worry, though.
05:24The eyes do change with the alternate options available.
05:29Overall, though, I really like the look of the pumpkin head, though.
05:31Not really, though, my favorite of the three.
05:33But it's definitely, though, a really well-painted head sculpt.
05:36If, though, you wanted to change out the heads, other options are available.
05:40You've got kind of more of the angrier Samhain, which is really kind of cool, too.
05:43And you've got really gnarly-looking teeth on the top and the bottom.
05:46Glowing, you know, glowing yellow eyes.
05:48Really nice-looking, well-painted pumpkin.
05:50The top, you can see, very noticeably are done with more of an airbrushing of a reddish-orange.
05:55Where, like, as we get to the main flesh of the pumpkin, it gets a little bit more lighter.
05:59Kind of right around here.
06:00So I do like there's some nice contrasting colors.
06:03Swapping out the heads, actually, surprisingly, is very easy.
06:05Just going to hold on to the torso here for Sam.
06:07Don't let him loose.
06:08Just pop that off from a very large ball joint.
06:11Now, you may think to yourself, large ball joint?
06:13That's going to cause conflict, isn't it?
06:14No, not at all.
06:15Just pop the head onto the ball joint, and you're good to go.
06:18It still retains some levels of posability.
06:20Though I have noticed with Samhain, when you do tend to move his head around,
06:23sometimes, though, it does pop it off the ball joint.
06:25But that's something that can easily be fixed.
06:28You get this head sculpt.
06:29Then you get what I think is my favorite of the three.
06:32This one has beady little eyes.
06:33Check out, though, the eyes of Samhain.
06:35Big smile on his face as well.
06:37If you have a ghost that's looking at you, and he's got a big smile on his face,
06:40he knows something you maybe don't.
06:42And I think it would be a good idea to kind of stay real clear of that.
06:45Again, you've got some really nice dark coloring of that warm orange there on the top.
06:48Nice auburn orange.
06:50And again, you've got the lighter yellow, the yellowish orange, though,
06:52making up the majority of the pumpkin face.
06:54To, again, swap out the faces.
06:57Actually, this one's really cool, too.
06:58But we're going to pop the head off again from the ball joint.
07:00We're going to replace it, then, with the one that has the little eyes.
07:03There we go.
07:04And Samhain, now it's good to go.
07:07Now, again, if you did want to also swap out the hands, just as easy to do as the head.
07:11You're going to hold onto the hands, wiggle it off from the post,
07:14take the hand that you want to use.
07:15Thumbs still go in, whether you're from the spectral world or not.
07:18And then, again, just swapping the hands is super easy to do.
07:21Samhain, though, just looks as good as he does in the cartoon.
07:24Really eerie, ominous-looking character.
07:26He doesn't have any legs or anything like that,
07:28but he just has this trailing kind of cloak that he wears.
07:31Love that they've got the bat kind of sleeves on the ends of those.
07:34Really well-painted, too.
07:36He looks just as good, again, like he does from the cartoon.
07:38Color matching, I think, is pretty good there also, as well.
07:40Samhain's articulation.
07:43Again, the head does move forward and back.
07:44It is sitting on a ball joint.
07:46Again, mileage may vary, depending on how far down you have that on the ball joint.
07:49Again, moving the head up and down doesn't seem to be so much the issue.
07:52Moving it back and forth also doesn't seem to be the issue.
07:54Sometimes, though, when you are rotating the head around,
07:57this one actually fares a little bit better than the first one we looked at.
08:00But yeah, the head ball joint works really well on the figure.
08:02Top torso is going to be on a ball joint.
08:05It doesn't move really up and down as much, though,
08:07as it does rotate forward and back or back and forth this way.
08:10Again, you can also rock it a little bit back and forth that way, too.
08:13The arm does rotate.
08:15It does rotate all the way around.
08:16It does feel like it gets a little tight the moment you kind of put his arms up
08:19like you're holding him up.
08:20I don't think you're really going to be able to hold up a ghost.
08:23Again, you can also move him all the way around.
08:25The arms do hinge, but they hinge only what seems to be about 45 degrees.
08:29I don't think it necessarily needs more than that.
08:32Does he really need to have a full 90 degree angle bend?
08:35I don't feel like he does.
08:36He does have, though, a bend in the elbow.
08:37No issues there.
08:38You can rotate the forearm there, too.
08:40Rotate the hands and hinge the wrist back and forth.
08:44Nothing really from the waist down or nothing really from, like, the cloak down.
08:47But I really love the coloring of this.
08:49I love how, like, the bottom of his cloak sort of spirals like this.
08:52Really fun figure with Sam Hain.
08:55Again, I know that's not really how we pronounce his name now.
08:58Okay, so let's have a look at Peter Venkman.
08:59Now, Peter Venkman does have quite a lot of accessories with even just to say, though,
09:03that if you have only just the chance to get yourself the regular edition, the regular edition
09:07for everything now we're about to see will set you back about $101.
09:10And then, of course, you know, shipping and tax that goes with that as well.
09:13But I think for that, you're getting a pretty good figure with a lot of cool accessories.
09:16First things first, Peter Venkman does come and clue with not as cool of an accessory,
09:19but he comes with a clear acrylic display stand.
09:22Some pegs, though, tell you right away where that's going to go onto his boots.
09:25If you look actually on the bottom of his boots, he does actually have pegs.
09:28What's interesting, though, is that you'll see one peg is a little bit larger than the other.
09:32So it tells you right away which one it has to go with where.
09:35I'm never really sure why companies choose to have selective peg shapes or peg sizes,
09:40like they have to go a dedicated way.
09:42I mean, really, if you were just to flip this around one way,
09:44I mean, wouldn't it work the exact same way plugging into those pegs?
09:48But again, like Peter Venkman's got himself a display stand.
09:50The figure, truth be told, though, doesn't really necessarily need a display stand.
09:53I've noticed, though, with the sides of his boots, nice flat boots, by the way,
09:56the figure has no issues standing whatsoever.
09:59For the figure's also accessories, he does have some swappable gloves.
10:03Now, these don't have full gloves.
10:04I mean, obviously, he has little cuff pieces that are going to slide,
10:07shimmy their way up the forearms.
10:09And then he also has the glove hands.
10:11If you did want to swap those out, just as easy as Sam Hain,
10:14you're just going to hold on to the forearm, wiggle that off.
10:17What I'll maybe, though, do is I'll leave his regular skin hand or his flesh hand on the one side,
10:21and then I'll do it with the glove so you can see the differences there.
10:24The glove portion of that just, again, slides over his forearm.
10:28Then take, of course, your hand, and that plugs just in place like that.
10:31Super easy.
10:32I've noticed one thing, though, and I was worried with the figure of this
10:35being a little bit smaller than your traditional 12-inch tall figures that Mondo usually handles.
10:39Yet, though, if you look at, actually, the peg, the peg's a good size,
10:42not the kind of peg that's very narrow, very small.
10:45This definitely does feel like it's got a good secure grip.
10:48But, again, it's super also easy to change.
10:50So, again, you get the gloved hand, or, again, you have your regular hand.
10:52I probably would just end up really displaying the figure I feel with just his regular hand.
10:57But, again, you just pop that back off, slide this off his arm,
11:01and then pop the hand back to where we left it.
11:03Again, very large pegs.
11:05Slide that into place.
11:07Peter Venkman.
11:08Oh, I guess, well, we're also out of holding Peter Venkman.
11:10We'll also show you guys that he does also come include with an alternate head portrait.
11:14Part of me, though, would have really liked if they could have included a third head.
11:17Maybe that would have been covered in slime.
11:19After all, he's coming with his buddy Slimer, after all.
11:21It would have been funny, though, if they actually came include with, like,
11:23an angrier Venkman head, all covered with slime on top of his head.
11:27But then we have a more kind of concerned or serious Peter Venkman.
11:31And then we also have, just again, like, the more laughable Dave Coulier,
11:35Peter Venkman, which I really don't prefer Dave Coulier doing the voice of Peter Venkman.
11:39But, again, like, good-looking head sculpts in either case.
11:41Swapping out the head, though, again, just popping it off the ball joint.
11:45Popping then the new head in place.
11:47The hair doesn't seem to change all that much, really, when you're looking at the two.
11:50It does seem, though, like they're the exact same sculpting.
11:54Again, it's mostly just the face that's been changed.
11:56I do really think that this is the better of the two head sculpts.
11:59And for display purposes, I would likely beeline it back to this head sculpt,
12:03rather than the more sterner look.
12:05So, again, we're just going to pop that back off.
12:09Get that just back there. There we go.
12:11For other accessories that come include with the figure,
12:13he does come include with his Proton Pack.
12:16Now, the Proton Pack is colored the way it is in the cartoon,
12:19so it's less black. It's kind of more of a blue.
12:21It's got some really more brighter colors of red,
12:23some oranges in there, and yellows as well.
12:26The Neutrono wand is attached onto the side.
12:28The one real issue I have kind of with the Neutrono wand
12:31is the way that it clips in place.
12:33Looking, though, online, just to make sure I had it in the right place,
12:36there is a little clip right here,
12:38a C-clip.
12:39When you attach, though, it onto the Proton Pack wand,
12:43you have to...
12:44Let me just get that off there here for a second.
12:46There we go.
12:47It's just a very thin bit of plastic.
12:50Now, it hasn't yet broken.
12:51I certainly hope that it doesn't.
12:53I do wish, though, that they could have maybe made this a little bit wider,
12:56or maybe not even complete this so it's a full C,
12:58had it maybe just been more of a hook.
13:01My only real issue, though, again,
13:02like lining everything up,
13:04snapping this into place,
13:05it is secure.
13:06It's not going to go anywhere.
13:07But just with the pressure
13:09and the concern that goes behind
13:11putting this against a clip that's only,
13:12you know, again,
13:13just the right size.
13:14No bigger, no smaller.
13:16It just is literally the exact same.
13:18Almost just, again,
13:19it's literally the size, though,
13:20with a Neutrono wand handle.
13:22I do wish, though,
13:22that it could have attached a little bit more easier,
13:25where I don't feel like I'm as worried
13:27about snapping that in place.
13:29But again, it holds really well.
13:30I mean, again, like you have it displayed that way.
13:32One thing I do think that they've done a nice job of doing
13:35is they've actually included a more rubbery hose.
13:37If this had been more plastic,
13:39my worry, though,
13:40would be that this would develop stress marks.
13:42But being that this is more of a rubbery,
13:44it does have a lot more give to it.
13:46He does also have a ghost trap.
13:48Now, the thing that's kind of cool about the ghost trap
13:50is not only, again,
13:50is it colored in the blue.
13:52You can see that it's detailed the way it is in the cartoon.
13:54Really looking good there.
13:56It does actually have two features to it.
13:58So you get the regular ghost trap
14:00with the door closed shut.
14:02But what you can do, though,
14:04is you can slide this off.
14:05Similar, though,
14:05if you were put it into a containment unit,
14:08slide it off.
14:09And if you look at the side of this,
14:10careful, careful not to drop it,
14:11there's a little groove right here.
14:14And the groove sits against this slot.
14:16So there's a little lip of plastic right there.
14:18So when you put the ghost trap in,
14:20you just literally slide it in like that.
14:21And the ghost trap looks the way it does in the cartoon.
14:24What it does, though, also,
14:25is that you can slide this off.
14:27And even if, though,
14:28you only get the regular version of this,
14:30there we go, slide it off,
14:32it does also come in clue
14:33with Samhain being sucked down the trap.
14:35This is still available with the regular version.
14:37It doesn't have to be the timed edition solely.
14:39So again, that just slides in place,
14:42just like that.
14:43And then it looks like Samhain, again,
14:45is now being trapped.
14:46Very, very cool.
14:47I love that.
14:48Some electricity, of course,
14:49as, of course,
14:49the spirit is being drawn back into the trap.
14:53I like that they've actually colored the bottom,
14:55though, of the flaps.
14:55So it's cloaked, too.
14:56So it looks like there's some light
14:57shining up from it.
14:59There's no opposability or anything like that.
15:00I don't really feel like, though,
15:02Samhain of this size
15:03necessarily needs to have
15:04any bit of articulation.
15:06But it's just a real fun way
15:07of having this displayed.
15:08So again, if you don't get yourself
15:10the chance to get the exclusive timed edition,
15:12even really just the regular version
15:13is still going to have that, too.
15:16Let's slide that off.
15:17One thing I did want to show you, though,
15:18is the way that the trap
15:19attaches onto the pack.
15:20So we're going to go back
15:21to the original doors being shut like that.
15:23If you look at the ghost trap
15:26and then you look at the proton pack,
15:27there's a clip right here.
15:29If I get my blasted finger out of the way,
15:30there's also like a little
15:31alleged clip right there.
15:33In theory, though,
15:34the ghost trap does fit onto the side.
15:36And it fits well.
15:37Like, I don't have any issues, really,
15:38with the ghost trap staying in place.
15:40Though, listen to the way
15:42they have it online.
15:43They sort of have the foot pedal
15:45of the ghost trap
15:46wrapped around,
15:47wrapped around this clip right here.
15:50Now, my one worry, though,
15:51with this being,
15:52it does feel like it's a wire,
15:54but still, though,
15:54I don't know if I really
15:55would want to warp it in a way
15:56that I wouldn't be able
15:57to get it back the way it was.
15:58Boy, that's a lot of Ws.
16:00So, yes, while it could,
16:01in theory, wrap around this
16:03because it is a wire,
16:04I'm more just inclined
16:05to just loop this around this way.
16:07Add a little bit of extra baggage
16:09onto the side,
16:10a little excess of wire,
16:11but then I don't have to worry
16:12about, you know, unraveling it.
16:14If you unravel it up the first time,
16:16you know, again,
16:16it's just going to look really warped
16:18when you unravel it again.
16:19So, I'm choosing, though,
16:20instead to kind of have
16:21a little bit more excess.
16:23To get the proton pack, though,
16:24on his back,
16:26on the sides, though,
16:27the belt is just attached
16:28here and here.
16:29So, you just attach
16:30the two pieces.
16:31Take yourself Peter Venkman
16:32and then you don't really
16:34necessarily need
16:35to have the head off.
16:36I mean, if you find it's easier,
16:37you can certainly do that,
16:38but I just find, though,
16:40that you can easily
16:40take the straps off,
16:42slide it down his back,
16:44move his arm,
16:44obviously, out of the way,
16:45get his arm out of the way,
16:46and then that just attaches
16:48back into those slots.
16:50Now, any time, though,
16:51you have a backpack
16:52that relies on straps
16:53and relies on having
16:54the tab back in place,
16:56usually one is always easy
16:57to snap back in
16:58and then there's one
16:59that always seems
17:00not to stay in place.
17:01I've noticed, though,
17:02in mine,
17:02it seems this one right here.
17:04I mean, it's fine.
17:04I mean, it stays well in place.
17:06At least they're not really
17:07relying on a peg system
17:08where you have to plug that
17:09onto the back of a hole
17:10in his torso,
17:11but the pack stays fine.
17:13I mean, again,
17:14like it's no real issues there.
17:16Take yourself your Neutrono wand,
17:17and again,
17:18we're just going to detach
17:19it from the top.
17:20Again, it's the only one thing
17:21I really am a little worried about.
17:23There we go.
17:24Again, see the thin nature
17:26of that plastic.
17:27Not to say, though,
17:27it would break,
17:28but with the friction
17:29of forcing that against it,
17:31that's my only real worry.
17:33You take yourself
17:33the Neutrono wand.
17:34The plastic is pretty good
17:35for these hands, too.
17:37And we'll just put the hand
17:39or put the handle
17:40in the hand.
17:41Then we can also bend
17:42the arm around,
17:43take the other handle here,
17:45or the nozzle,
17:46I should really say,
17:47and that just fits
17:48around his hand.
17:50Just like that.
17:51There we go.
17:52The last thing,
17:53then, we'll have a look at
17:54before, of course,
17:54we look then at Slimer.
17:56He also comes with
17:56his Neutrono stream.
17:58Now, the Proton stream
17:59is translucent
18:00in blue plastic.
18:01It does have, though,
18:02a very large
18:02ball-bearing size end to it.
18:04And this is part
18:05that's going to plug
18:05onto, obviously,
18:06the handle.
18:07Careful not to cross
18:08the streams,
18:08but careful also
18:09not to get your hand
18:10too close to the stream.
18:11It's just going to be
18:12incinerated off.
18:13But we'll just kind of
18:14plug the hand in place.
18:15I think I actually let go
18:16of the other handle there.
18:18And then you can take
18:19yourself the Neutrono stream
18:21and just plug that
18:22onto the end of it.
18:24So, again,
18:24like you got Peter Venkman
18:25looking like he's zap.
18:26He's probably going to need
18:27the rest, though,
18:28of the Ghostbusters
18:29in order to battle
18:30the likes of Sam Hain.
18:31But you can have
18:31the figure displayed
18:32that way as well.
18:34So, that's Peter Venkman.
18:35I guess maybe what we'll do
18:36is we'll just take
18:37all this off
18:38for right now.
18:39Then we'll kind of
18:40look at the figures.
18:41Well, I guess, you know what?
18:42We'll look at Slimer.
18:42Then we'll go back
18:43to Peter Venkman.
18:44We'll kind of cover off
18:45the figure's features
18:46and also his possibility.
18:48The one other thing
18:49that also comes in
18:50with the regular version
18:51is Slimer.
18:52Love the look of Slimer here.
18:54Slimer does already
18:54have his dedicated base,
18:55so you don't have to worry
18:56about having a way
18:57to try to display
18:58this figure alongside Peter.
18:59But it does have
19:00some posability.
19:01So you can also
19:01move it up and down.
19:02You can also move it
19:03back and forth.
19:03You really could,
19:04in theory,
19:05rotate it all the way around.
19:06But you can also
19:06take Slimer off the stand.
19:09It plugs in.
19:10Very similar.
19:10Very easy.
19:11Just as easy, really,
19:12as changing out
19:12the heads here.
19:13Slimer, as it is
19:15for coloring,
19:15looks certainly
19:16like he does
19:16from the cartoon.
19:17Very nice bright green
19:18coloring.
19:19He's got some nice
19:19dark accent colors
19:20added in there as well.
19:22He does also have
19:22some posability,
19:23so he can move
19:24his arms back and forth.
19:25I wouldn't necessarily
19:26say it can move out.
19:27That definitely seems
19:28like it's only very limited
19:29to just swiveling
19:30back and forth.
19:31And that's really fine.
19:32I don't think it necessarily
19:32needs that, again,
19:33have posability
19:34where the arms can come out.
19:36He still can be surprised.
19:37You know, again,
19:38he can still sneak up
19:39on Peter, slime him.
19:40And of course,
19:40Peter's just going to,
19:41oh man,
19:42Peter's going to go after him
19:43and he's going to have
19:43to have the other trio
19:44of Ghostbusters stop him.
19:46But again,
19:46that just snaps
19:46onto the bottom of that.
19:48And you got yourself
19:48good old Slimer.
19:50Slimer right over there.
19:51Back though to Peter.
19:52And again,
19:53we've already had a look
19:53at the head.
19:54We'll spend one last time
19:55to look at that
19:55before we kind of move on
19:56to the rest of the figure's body.
19:58Very unfaithful.
19:59One thing I will say though
20:00about Mondo,
20:01I'm glad that they made
20:02the sizes small like this.
20:04I love collecting
20:05the 112 scale Mondo figures.
20:06But the thing about that though
20:08is it takes up a lot
20:09more real estate space.
20:10Having though Ghostbusters
20:11this size
20:12rather than 12 inch tall,
20:13because again,
20:14like you're going to have
20:14to also factor in
20:15the size of the ghost.
20:16For a Ghostbuster
20:17of Peter Venkman
20:17to be 12 inches in height,
20:19you'd have to also then
20:20increase the height
20:21of Sam Hayne.
20:22You'd have a giant sized figure.
20:23Keeping the cost
20:24and keeping the size
20:25small like this
20:26means that it's more easier
20:28for collectors
20:28to get their hands
20:29on the Ghostbusters
20:30where they're, again,
20:31not going to be taking up
20:32as much space.
20:33For overall features,
20:34again, each of the
20:34respected Ghostbusters
20:35do have their different
20:36colored uniforms.
20:37Peter Venkman's
20:38is all brown here.
20:39He's got the Ghostbusters
20:40symbol there still on the side.
20:41Doesn't have his name tag
20:42or anything like that.
20:43Nice teal color
20:44that he has in the cartoon
20:45for his collar.
20:46He's got the elbow pads
20:47there on the side.
20:48Just again,
20:48really nice looking figure.
20:49I think they've handled
20:50this really well.
20:51Can't wait really
20:52to see the other
20:52three Ghostbusters.
20:54He also does have
20:55some nice details
20:55also done to his belt.
20:57I don't know if that's
20:58a ghost tracking device.
20:59Maybe that's a communicator.
21:01He's also got a little clip
21:01there on his belt.
21:03The clip, though,
21:04just kind of be careful
21:05of this when it comes
21:05to the figure's possibility.
21:06Moving the legs
21:07kind of forward and back,
21:08you want to just kind of
21:09make sure that
21:09that doesn't get bent.
21:10But all in all,
21:11very nice looking figure
21:12for Peter Venkman.
21:14For Peter's articulation,
21:15it has a little bit more
21:16though than Sam Hayne.
21:17Head first of all
21:18is going to be
21:18on a ball joint.
21:20It's not really
21:21showing you guys
21:22the full benefits
21:23of a ball joint,
21:24but it head rotates
21:25all the way around.
21:25It does move up and down.
21:26You can also move it
21:27back and forth as well.
21:28Now, it did seem like
21:29the figure does have
21:30a ball joint.
21:31I don't think it is
21:31the case, though,
21:32that he has a ball joint
21:33at the base of his neck.
21:33It might only really be
21:35just at the top of the neck.
21:36Arms rotate all the way around.
21:38You can also hinge
21:38those arms out
21:39a lot more, though,
21:40than what you could
21:41with Sam.
21:4290 degrees.
21:4390 degrees.
21:44So you can easily
21:45do that there.
21:46The figure does also
21:46have a swivel in his,
21:48not so much in his bicep,
21:49but more swivel
21:50in his elbow,
21:51which also serves as well
21:52as a single hinge.
21:53Hands rotate all the way around.
21:54You can hinge those
21:55back and forth.
21:56Hinges back and forth.
21:57The figure does have,
21:59it seems like a ball joint.
22:00I mean,
22:00it really only does rotate
22:02back and forth
22:03with only just a little bit
22:04of movement up and down,
22:05but that's, again,
22:05enough to sign off
22:06on this being a ball.
22:08The legs do split.
22:10Not really far, though,
22:11mind you.
22:12You can take those legs
22:12and move them forward.
22:13I did notice, though,
22:14moving them forward,
22:15they're really tight.
22:17I guess that's not a bad thing
22:18if you're not necessarily
22:18going to have your figure
22:19in a walking pose,
22:20then I don't think
22:21you're going to be disappointed
22:22that they're a little
22:22on the more tighter side.
22:24I don't know what likelihood
22:25there's going to be
22:25that we're going to have
22:26an Ecto-1 getting released
22:27by Mondo,
22:28but, you know,
22:28again,
22:28fitting the size profile
22:30of all the Ghostbusters,
22:31but that would be
22:31really cool as well.
22:33It does have a single hinge
22:34in the knee.
22:34The lower leg does rotate
22:36forward and back,
22:37and then Peter Venkman's boots
22:38have an ankle pivot up and down,
22:40an ankle rocker as well.
22:41Did I forget to also mention?
22:42No, I didn't.
22:43We also looked at
22:44and discussed that earlier.
22:45The figure does have,
22:46yes, peg holes
22:47on the bottom of his feet,
22:48Mondo on the one,
22:49and then Trademark on the other.
22:51Super, super stoked
22:52for what they're going to be doing
22:53with the Ghostbusters line.
22:54Now, again,
22:54they've announced,
22:56they have listed
22:56or and or announced
22:58all the four Ghostbusters quartet
23:00on social media.
23:01So, again,
23:02we're going to be getting ourselves
23:03an Egon Spangler
23:04that's going to come
23:04with the Boogeyman.
23:05All, really,
23:06of the Ghostbusters,
23:06if you get your hands
23:08on the timed editions,
23:08they're all going to be coming
23:09with giant spooks and specters.
23:12In this case, though,
23:12I mean,
23:13certainly fitting for Halloween,
23:14Peter Venkman came
23:15and clued with Samhain.
23:16Now, again,
23:17Sauron,
23:17I know it's not really
23:18the way that they pronounce it,
23:19but fine, though,
23:20just to keep calling him Samhain.
23:21I mean,
23:22that was the way
23:22he was also called
23:23in the cartoon.
23:23Things, though,
23:24I really liked
23:24about the timed edition
23:25is the fact that
23:26you do get yourself
23:27a full-sized Samhain
23:28that you also get,
23:29even if you just don't get
23:31Samhain
23:31or you can't get your hands
23:32on the timed edition,
23:33you just get the regular version.
23:35The fact that you get yourself
23:35some cardboard cutouts,
23:37I mean,
23:37Fearsome Flush.
23:38The fact that Fearsome Flush
23:39is making an appearance again,
23:40though only done
23:41really in cardboard,
23:42it keeps at least
23:43the floor dry.
23:44You don't have to worry
23:44about him drooling
23:45all over the place.
23:46Even to get then
23:47the regular edition,
23:47you still get yourself
23:48a sucked-down Samhain
23:50inside the ghost trap.
23:51That's really, really cool.
23:52And, of course,
23:53you also get yourself
23:53the Proton Pack.
23:54Now, again,
23:55the Proton Pack,
23:56again,
23:57does have,
23:58one, again,
23:59real only issue
24:00I could really see facing.
24:01It isn't so much
24:02really the foot pedal
24:03on the trap.
24:04I don't have real
24:05any plans to rotate
24:06or, like,
24:06kind of bend the wire
24:07around the lower clip.
24:09I just feel like
24:09I'd rather keep this loose
24:11just so it stays
24:12the way it looks right now.
24:14I'm sure, though,
24:15with this being also a wire,
24:16yeah, you could
24:17wrap the foot pedal
24:18along the bottom.
24:19I think it still looks
24:20clean the way it is.
24:20I don't think
24:21it necessarily needs it.
24:21The only one other issue
24:22I really had,
24:23as I did say in this review,
24:24more so stems
24:25from the clip right here.
24:27The clip is, again,
24:28just,
24:29if it had only
24:30just been rubber,
24:31you know,
24:31again,
24:32like,
24:32I feel like
24:32that would be
24:33a little bit more
24:33of a secure
24:34because it's literally,
24:36I don't want to
24:36even say literally,
24:37it's just a little bit
24:38bigger than the handle
24:39itself.
24:40So clipping that
24:41in place,
24:43I mean,
24:43it's doable,
24:44but, again,
24:45my only real worry,
24:46though,
24:46yeah,
24:47you want to make sure
24:47it,
24:47first of all,
24:48it's kind of as low
24:48down as you can
24:49really get it.
24:50Right here,
24:51at the base of the handle,
24:53seems a little more
24:54narrow than right above it.
24:56So you really want
24:56to kind of make sure
24:57it's as close down
24:58to this area
24:59of the Proton wand
25:00as you can.
25:01If not,
25:02though,
25:02I really feel like
25:03that clip,
25:03you just want to add
25:04unnecessary stress to that.
25:06But the Proton pack
25:06looks fantastic,
25:07though.
25:07I love that he comes
25:08included with the
25:09Ghost Trap.
25:10Obviously,
25:10the Proton Stream
25:11is also a nice
25:12included accessory
25:12as well.
25:13Boy,
25:14well,
25:14like,
25:14Mondo has,
25:15again,
25:15set the bar really high
25:16for what they could
25:17potentially do
25:17with the Ghostbusters.
25:18Whether,
25:19though,
25:19we will be getting
25:19any more of the
25:20Ghostbusters
25:21outside of the four,
25:22at least,
25:23though,
25:23if they only end up
25:24releasing just those four,
25:26getting,
25:26though,
25:26the timed additions
25:27means at least
25:27you're going to get
25:28the four Ghostbusters.
25:29You're also going to get
25:29a standalone ghost,
25:30but then you're also
25:31going to get this
25:31spirited entity
25:33that gets packed
25:33along with them as well.
25:35Well,
25:35I guess this is
25:36the end of Halloween,
25:37and no more
25:37disappointed by that news,
25:38I'm sure,
25:38is the mascot of Halloween,
25:39Sam Hain himself.
25:41You know,
25:41speaking of Sam Hain,
25:42one issue,
25:43though,
25:43I do actually have
25:44with the additional
25:45accessory that goes
25:45on top of the Ghost Trap,
25:46so it looks like
25:47Sam Hain,
25:48yes,
25:48is being sucked down
25:49into it,
25:50is it does add
25:50some additional
25:51back heaviness to it.
25:52I've got it right now
25:53just on the clear
25:54acrylic displays,
25:55then it comes in
25:55with Venkman.
25:56I wish,
25:57though,
25:57that Mondo
25:57had also included
25:58a similar stand
25:59that could have
25:59attached on
26:00using that same
26:01half-circle shape
26:02that allows then
26:03the Ghost Trap
26:03to attach onto
26:04the Proton Pack,
26:05just give a little
26:06additional display stand
26:07then for the Ghost Trap
26:07to stand on its own.
26:09It does,
26:09though,
26:09especially rotating
26:10on a rotisserie like this,
26:12cause then the stand
26:13or cause then
26:14the Ghost Trap
26:14to fall backwards
26:15and give it
26:16a little bit of time,
26:17it's probably going to
26:17end up happening
26:18in this review.
26:19One cool thing,
26:20though,
26:20is that Suck Down Sam Hain
26:21is going to at least
26:22be part of the regular version
26:23that if you can't
26:24get your hands
26:24or just don't have
26:26the budget necessarily,
26:26get yourself the timed edition
26:28which sells then
26:28for $100 more.
26:30The regular version
26:30for $101
26:31is still going to come
26:32and include that accessory
26:33as well as Slimer.
26:34I love that they also
26:35included the Slimer.
26:36I mean,
26:36Peter Venkman does have,
26:37again,
26:38two swappable heads.
26:39Maybe it would have been fun
26:40if they could have also
26:41included a third head
26:42that had a slimed face.
26:43Other than that,
26:44though,
26:44I don't think there's
26:44anything at all
26:45I really would have added
26:46additionally to Peter Venkman.
26:48He has everything,
26:48really,
26:49that he needs.
26:49He has the Proton Pack
26:50on his back
26:51and he splits.
26:52He does also come
26:52including the Neutrona wand.
26:54Smart choice too
26:54that Mondo decided
26:55to have the Neutrona wand
26:56attached by a rubber hose
26:57and not a plastic hose.
26:59Usually it is the case
27:00whenever other companies
27:01have handled
27:01the Ghostbusters property.
27:03Either,
27:03well,
27:03can or did,
27:04I think,
27:04use a rope.
27:05But then usually
27:06when you use plastic
27:07like this,
27:07plastic does eventually
27:08develop fracture marks,
27:10obviously.
27:11Using a rubber hose
27:12was certainly
27:12the smarter route
27:13to have gone with.
27:14The only one little bit
27:15that I wish had
27:16a little bit more give to it
27:17was the clip
27:18that actually holds
27:18the Neutrona wand
27:19onto the Proton Pack.
27:21With it being
27:21a thin plastic like this,
27:23you do feel like
27:23you almost have to add
27:24a lot more pressure
27:25to it than what
27:25is really necessary
27:26just to attach it
27:27onto the back of his body.
27:29Aside from that though,
27:30couldn't be any bit
27:31more happier
27:31with the real Ghostbusters
27:32Peter Venkman.
27:33Out the gate though,
27:34I think Mondo
27:35has knocked this
27:35out of the park.
27:36Now,
27:37if you do get your hands
27:37on the timed editions,
27:38again,
27:38they're going to work out
27:39to be about $100 more
27:40than the regular versions.
27:42What it does benefit though
27:43by is that the timed editions
27:44are also going to come
27:45include with the ghosts,
27:46the larger ghosts.
27:47Peter Venkman is going
27:48to come include,
27:48for example,
27:49with Sam Hain.
27:49Obviously,
27:50we looked at it
27:50in this review.
27:51Egon Spangler is going
27:52to come include
27:53with the Boogeyman.
27:54Winston Sedmore
27:55is going to come include
27:55with the Sandman.
27:56And then they've just
27:57recently announced as well
27:58that Ray Stance
27:59is going to come include
28:00with Mr. Gash.
28:01All top choice,
28:02all top build ghouls.
28:04I'm glad that they chose those,
28:06even if they don't go
28:07any further
28:07with the license than that.
28:09I think they've also shown
28:10at recent Comic Cons
28:11that they're also going
28:12to be doing a Janine.
28:13A Janine with the desktop.
28:14And super again,
28:15excited for that.
28:16Whether they're going
28:16to be branching out
28:17and going any further
28:18with the licensing
28:19than just those
28:19five core characters.
28:21Still though,
28:21for what they've done
28:22so far,
28:23between the timed editions
28:24or the regular editions,
28:26Mondo's doing a great job
28:26with the Ghostbusters license.
28:28A big again,
28:28and thank you to the folks
28:29over at Mondo
28:30that did provide
28:30the sample
28:31of the new Ghostbusters.
28:32This was the timed edition
28:33limited release
28:34of Egon Spangler,
28:36Peter Venkman
28:37with Sam Hain.
28:39Again,
28:39the timed edition
28:40is sold currently out
28:41on their site.
28:42It was selling for $202,
28:43though the 112 scale
28:45of Real Ghostbusters
28:46for Peter Venkman
28:46is still available
28:47for $101.
28:49There is also still
28:50the regular versions,
28:52the pre-orders up right now
28:53for Winston Zedmore.
28:55There is also
28:55the timed edition
28:56currently still up
28:56for the Egon Spangler
28:58and Boogeyman.
28:58So again,
28:59if you want to get
28:59your hands on those,
29:00head on over
29:01to Mondo's site.
29:02What do you guys think of these?
29:03Let me know down below
29:03in the comments section.
29:04Have you guys started
29:05to collect the new
29:06Mondo Real Ghostbusters?
29:07And what do you guys
29:08think of these?
29:09If you guys in the meantime
29:09did enjoy this video,
29:10you can do it a solid
29:11and throw it a like.
29:12You guys want to stick around
29:12for more so?
29:13I hope so.
29:14I hope so.
29:15I know, again,
29:16we're kind of getting,
29:17I mean,
29:17we're really past now Halloween.
29:19Halloween stopped
29:19at the 31st.
29:20We seem to have
29:21still continued our journeys
29:22down to the spooky realm
29:24of spooky videos.
29:26And maybe we're probably
29:26going to be wrapping up
29:27things shortly.
29:28But I hope, though,
29:28that you guys have enjoyed
29:29all the spooky-rific
29:30Spottober
29:31that we've had to look at
29:33where all haunted-related videos,
29:35all the spooky videos,
29:36have all sort of inhabited
29:37that time period of the year.
29:39But there's certainly going to...
29:40Ah, there goes Sam Hayne.
29:41There's going to be more videos,
29:42though, coming your way, guys.
29:42So, as always,
29:43thanks for watching.
29:45See you guys next time.
