00:00Day 25. Warning to rich oppressors. James paints a sobering picture of wealth used wrongly,
00:15hoarded possessions, unpaid workers, and indulgence at the expense of others.
00:21His warning reminds us that wealth, when misused, corrodes both the heart and the soul.
00:28God takes note of injustice, and he hears the cries of the oppressed. But Scripture also reminds us that
00:35wealth and resources can be powerful tools for good when used to serve others. Jesus teaches us
00:41that when we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, or visit the sick, we are serving him directly.
00:48The question is not whether we have much or little, but whether we are faithful with what we've been
00:53given. Our calling is not to store up treasures for ourselves, but to live with open hands,
01:00ready to bless and uplift those in need. Reflection. How do I view wealth and possessions?
01:06Am I hoarding for myself, or am I using what I have to serve others in love?
01:13Application. Look at your resources today, time, money, or talents, and identify one way you can
01:20use them to meet a need or bless someone else. Prayer. Heavenly Father, guard my heart from greed,
01:26pride, and self-indulgence. Help me to see my resources as gifts to steward for your kingdom.
01:34Show me how to serve you by serving others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
