00:00Day 18 Wisdom from Above vs. Earthly Wisdom
00:11James reminds us that wisdom is not proven by how much we know but by how we live.
00:17True wisdom is displayed through humility, gentleness, and peace.
00:22On the other hand, when envy and selfish ambition are at the root of our decisions,
00:27the result is often conflict, disorder, and emptiness.
00:31Godly wisdom invites us to trust His plan, even when it doesn't align with our own ambitions.
00:38Jeremiah 29 verse 11 reassures us that God's wisdom always leads to a hopeful future,
00:45not destruction. Earthly wisdom may tempt us with shortcuts, recognition, or self-promotion,
00:51but these paths often lead us away from God's best.
00:55Choosing heavenly wisdom means laying down our pride and seeking God's direction,
01:00trusting that His ways are higher than ours. Reflection
01:04Do my choices reflect humility and trust in God, or do they reveal selfish ambition?
01:11Application
01:12Think about a recent decision or desire. Ask yourself,
01:16Was I motivated by envy, recognition, or self-ambition? Or was I seeking God's glory and trusting His plan?
01:25Take a moment today to realign your heart with God's wisdom.
01:30Prayer
01:30Heavenly Father, grant me wisdom from Above, pure, peace-loving, considerate, and full of mercy.
01:37Guard my heart against selfish ambition and envy.
01:41Teach me to walk humbly and trust in the future you have planned for me.
01:46In Jesus' name, Amen.
