00:00Get ready for an exciting new chapter in baseball. On Wednesday, Major League Baseball unveiled its

00:07complete schedule for spring training in 2026, which includes some exciting new elements.

00:12The spring training season will commence on February 20th, featuring several games.

00:16This initial day will showcase four matchups in the Cactus League, including the Diamondbacks

00:20against the Rockies, the Padres facing the Mariners, the Royals taking on the Rangers,

00:25and the White Sox competing with the Cubs. Additionally, there will be one game in the

00:30Grapefruit League, where the Yankees will play the Orioles, along with two exhibition games.

00:35The Red Sox will face Northeastern University, and the Twins will go up against the University

00:39of Minnesota. The following day, February 21st, all 30 major league teams will participate in

00:45their first full day of games across both the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues. Shortly after,

00:50within a span of less than two weeks, fans in Arizona and Florida will have the opportunity

00:55to witness some distinctive matchups. These games will feature MLB teams competing against

01:00international teams as they prepare for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. In total, there

01:06will be 28 exhibition games scheduled, with 14 games taking place on March 3rd, and another

01:1214 on March 4, where major league teams will face off against teams participating in the World

01:18Baseball Classic. Team USA, which previously finished as the runner-up, will be among those competing.

01:25Team Japan, preparing for the 2023 World Baseball Classic, is set to play two exhibition games

01:32in Scottsdale, Arizona. The first game is scheduled against the Giants on March 3rd at Scottsdale

01:37Stadium, followed by a match against the Rockies on March 4th at Salt River Fields at Talking

01:42Stick. These exhibition games will take place just before the commencement of the 20,000

01:46World Baseball Classic, which will begin on March 6th in North America, featuring games

01:55in Miami, Houston, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. In addition to the World Baseball Classic exhibitions,

02:02the spring training schedule will include several unique crossover games between the Cactus and

02:07Grapefruit Leagues. For instance, the Yankees, who are based in Tampa, Florida, will travel to Mesa,

02:12Arizona, to compete against the Cubs on March 23rd and 24th at Sloan Field. Simultaneously,

02:19the Tigers will make the journey from their training facility in Lakeland, Florida,

02:23to Scottsdale to face the Rockies. Moreover, the Athletics will also have the opportunity to play

02:28two games in Las Vegas. The Angels are scheduled to play at Las Vegas Ballpark on March 7-8.

02:34This event is part of the lead-up to the 2026 opening night game, which will take place on March 25th,

02:41featuring the Giants hosting the Yankees at Oracle Park. Following this, there will be a series of
