00:22to meet those expectations, despite a slow start and a significant absence in September due to a

00:27left oblique strain. In the 56 games he played before the injury, Anthony achieved an impressive

00:33batting line of 3-1-9, 4-5, 5-0-5, and hit 7 home runs. Nick Kurtz, first baseman, athletics.

00:42While fans may particularly remember Nick Kurtz's remarkable game on July 25th, where he recorded

00:486 hits and 4 home runs, this was just one highlight in a series of impressive performances throughout

00:54the 2025 season. Having been drafted fourth overall in the 2024 MLB draft, Kurtz made his debut less than

01:03a year later, and quickly adapted to the challenges of major league pitching. Over the course of 117

01:09games, he hit 36 home runs, and concluded the season with a remarkable OPS plus of 173, which ties him

01:18with Jose Abreu, 2012, for the highest OPS plus recorded by a rookie with at least 400 plate

02:12place finish in the previous year's Cy Young Award voting, Sanchez had a breakout season in 2025,

02:18posting a record of 13 wins and 5 losses, along with a 2.50 ERA and 212 strikeouts across 202

02:27innings pitched. His performance placed him third in the National League for ERA, fifth in strikeouts,

02:33and second in innings pitched. Paul Skeens, RHP, Pirates. Skeens appears to be on track to build on

02:40his Rookie of the Year Award from 2024, potentially contending for a Cy Young Award. In 2025, the

02:47Pirates' standout pitcher achieved remarkable success by winning the MLB ERA title, with an impressive

02:521.97 earned run average, and this accomplishment made him the first qualified pitcher to maintain an

02:58ERA below 2, since Justin Verlander did so in 2022. Additionally, he recorded a total of 216 strikeouts,

03:07which placed him tied for the second highest in the National League, all while pitching 187 and

03:12two-thirds innings. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, a right-handed pitcher for the Dodgers, also had an outstanding

03:18regular season. Prior to his exceptional performance in the World Series where he was named MVP, Yamamoto

03:24finished the season with a record of 12 wins and 8 losses, a 2.49 ERA, and two 101 strikeouts over

03:31173 and two-thirds innings across 30 starts. And the ace of the Dodgers is now in pursuit of his

03:36first Cy Young Award in Major League Baseball, complementing the three Sawamura Awards he earned

03:42in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, which is equivalent to the Cy Young Award. In the American

03:47League, Hunter Brown, a right-handed pitcher for the Astros, continued to build on his strong

03:53performance from the previous season, and he established himself as a leading starter for

03:58the team, ranking among the top five pitchers in the league with a 2.43 ERA, second overall,

04:05206 strikeouts, third, and a whip of 1.03, tied for fourth, opponent's batting average, which stands

04:13at 201, placing him fifth in the league. Garrett Crochet, LHP, Red Sox. In their quest to find a true ace,

05:23significant improvement with an ERA of 2.2-1, a WIP of 0.89, a FIP of 2.45, and a KBB ratio of 7.30.

05:34Additionally, he pitched more innings totaling 195-1-3, and achieved a higher strikeout count

05:40of 241, and should Skubal secure another win, he would become the first pitcher in the American

05:45League to do so consecutively. The National League has not seen a back-to-back winner of the Jackie

05:50Robinson Rookie of the Year Award since Pedro Martinez achieved this feat in 1999-2000,

05:56although there have been several repeat winners during this time frame. In the 2023 NL Jackie

06:01Robinson Rookie of the Year Award, two standout players emerged. Drake Baldwin, a catcher for

06:06the Braves, stepped into the spotlight when Sean Murphy suffered a rib injury during spring training,

06:12and as the Braves' top prospect, Baldwin was called up to make his Major League Baseball debut as

06:17Atlanta's opening day catcher. The 24-year-old quickly demonstrated his readiness for the major

06:22leagues, finishing his rookie season with a batting average of .274, 19 home runs, 80 RBIs, and .810

06:30OPS, and notably, Baldwin's 80 RBIs led all National League rookies. Caleb Durbin, a third baseman for the

06:39Brewers, made his big league debut in late April, and by the season's conclusion, he had established

06:45himself as the team's everyday third baseman, contributing to the Brewers' status as the team

06:50with the best record in baseball. The 25-year-old recorded a batting average of .256, along with 11

06:56home runs, 18 stolen bases, and 53 RBIs, and Durbin played a crucial role in a Brewers lineup that

07:04excelled in making contact, as evidenced by his impressive statistics, a swing-and-miss rate of 13 percent,

07:10and a strikeout rate of 9.9 percent, both of which ranked among the lowest 5 percent in the

07:16League of MLB hitters. Cade Horton, right-handed pitcher, Cubs. Cade Horton was unable to participate

07:25in the Cubs' playoff journey due to a rib fracture he sustained towards the end of the season,

07:30but when he was active on the field, he showcased impressive performance. The 24-year-old right-handed

07:37pitcher recorded an 11-4 win-loss record, achieved a 2.67 earned run average, ERA, and struck out 97

07:45batters over 118 innings pitched across 23 games, with 22 of those being starts, and his ERA stood

07:53out as the best among rookie starting pitchers, and he led all rookie pitchers with his 11 victories.

08:10as he entered the 2025 season, marking his third full year and fourth overall in the Toronto Blue

08:28Stephen Vogt has returned as a finalist this year, after leading the Cleveland Guardians,

08:32to an extraordinary comeback in 2025, and at one point in July, the Guardians found themselves

08:3915 and a half games behind the division leader, and 11 games back as the season progressed.

08:44On September 5th, the team managed to surpass the Tigers, ultimately claiming the AL Central title.

08:50Dan Wilson, who took over as the manager of the Seattle Mariners from Scott's surveys in late 2024,

08:56quickly made his influence felt within the organization, and in his first complete season as manager,

09:02the former catcher led the Mariners to their first division championship since 2001.

09:08AL Most Valuable Player Award Aaron Judge, right fielder, Yankees. Following his AL MVP awards in 2022

09:16and 2024, Judge had another remarkable season in 2025, and the Yankees' power hitter hit over 50 home runs

09:23for the fourth time in his career, finishing with 53. He also led the American League in runs scored,

09:29137 and walks, 124, while being the top player in Major League Baseball for all three key batting statistics,

09:37with a slash line of 3-3-1, 4-5-7, 688, and additionally, he topped both the baseball reference,

10:28and demonstrated excellent defensive skills behind the plate.

10:32This player, who set new records for home runs by both a catcher and a switch hitter,

10:36played a crucial role in helping Seattle secure its first division title since 2001.

10:41Jose Ramirez, the third baseman for the Guardians, is known for his consistent performance in baseball,

10:47and in 2025, he achieved his second consecutive 30-40 season, finishing with 30 home runs and 44 stolen bases,

10:55along with a slash line of 283, 360, 5-4-3, 137 OPS+, over 158 games, and his efforts contributed to the

11:05Guardians' remarkable comeback from a 15-1-2 game, deficit, to clinch, the AL Central title.

11:14Although Ramirez has never won the MVP award, he is consistently ranked among the top six in voting,

11:21achieving four, top three finishes throughout his career.
