00:04Olivia and Alex Parenthood brought to you by Glade fragrances. Do you know what cervix is? Yes, somewhere down there
00:14I have to eat six dates a day. Is this an old wives tale?
00:18Well, it could be but apparently there is actually like proven trials of it softening your cervix that makes it easier for you to dilate
00:24It looks like that and then that dilates so it like does this. Oh

00:54Ball time
00:56Mommy has to do her funny exercises
01:02Look at these hips
01:04Stop stop stop

01:38I actually did a sprint across the street the other day to see if that would help
01:42Do you want to help me squeeze the boob milk out
01:44No I do not want to help you squeeze boob milk

01:56Is
01:58Harvest colostrum
02:00Yeah I know what you've been doing
02:02What are you doing Abel?
02:04Do you want to see it?
02:06There's like 4,000 tubes in there
02:08So what's it do?
02:10Before you have the baby it's called colostrum
02:12And it's really high in like
02:14Abel careful
02:16Fat and vitamins
02:18And it's really good for the baby
02:20Do you want to taste it? It's frozen
02:22You have to have fresh you want some fresh
02:24No

03:19How many calories are in your boob milk?
03:21I'm going to see if it's on my meal plan

03:30What?
03:31He'd be like right
03:33I'm going to laugh then
03:36Easy mate
03:41I was just wondering like I know it's a bit of a mad thing to ask
03:46I know I'm on like a certain amount of calories
03:49How many calories?
03:50How many calories?
03:51I mean boobie milk
03:53See I know it's probably not on plan I just feel like it'd be a good thing to do you know?
03:58Oh my god he's going to hate you he's going to block you
04:05What is it?
04:06It's called boobie milk
04:07This is insane
04:09Like you know it's just a fluid from my body it's not like it's
04:13Just try it
04:14Are you going to give me a buzz on it or something?
04:16Maybe
04:17What does it taste like?
04:23Just milk
04:24Just tastes like milk?
04:25Yeah well not like semi skimmed
04:30I'm quite impressed that
04:47It's coming from really far
05:03Okay
05:04The last part of our stick fill in three minutes
05:13This does not do well
05:14It's like makes me emotional
05:16I'll get it it's fine
05:17I'm not in a bad way
05:19I'm not in a bad way
05:20I'm just like
05:21I know
05:22It's amazing
05:23We've got this
05:25We're proud of you
05:26Will do
05:27Alright let's soak this out so we're more set
05:33That's it just
05:35Try and relax
05:36As best as you can
05:37Breathe in
05:38Oh my god they are coming so fast
05:41Good
05:42That's what we want
05:43That's good
05:44They really do this yeah
05:45They're coming
05:46They're on the way
05:57I just feel like I'm going to cry constantly
05:58You got the poopy scooper?
06:00Poopy scooper for your poop?
06:02I actually haven't had poo
06:04Maybe you got poo?
06:05Oh I can't get it out now
06:06You can't poo now
06:07It's up to you I don't mind
06:09I'll scoop the poop
06:11No
06:12Not that you scoop
06:13Well I'll scoop up your poop
06:14That's love you know
06:15If you can scoop
06:17Little wife's poop
06:18It's all good
06:19Right
06:20We're left now
06:21It's coming up
06:22Do you want anything from Ben's bed
06:23Erm
06:25I don't know
06:26I'm confused now
06:27It's like happening really fast
06:28Sit down on the bed and we're like
06:29I can't
06:30No
06:31No
06:36Um
06:37Heya I'm just calling
06:38To let you know about my wife Olivia Bowen
06:40She's actually like
06:41Going through a lot of contractions at the moment
06:43She has been since last night so
06:54Okay
06:56Yeah
07:01Okay
07:02Yeah that kind of makes sense
07:03Alright thank you very much
07:04Bye
07:05Bye
07:06Bye
07:07I wasn't worried about Alex he was being amazing like he got all the pull out and he was making
07:26sure I was okay he was texting the doulas so like he was absolutely fine but because I know him so well I knew he was a bit nervous about the home birth still so I'm not sure he's completely relaxed
07:36Oh my god this is really strong
07:49Oh my god this is really strong
07:50When the doulas got here it was starting to get very very painful and to me it felt like I needed to push
08:05To push
08:06Oh
08:07As the contractions get worse, there's literally nothing that men can do.
08:32You've literally just got to be there, just be positive, and that's pretty much all you
08:37can do.
08:38I'm an emotional person, like, to see Liv in pain, it's just not very nice, but you've
08:45just got to kind of, like, switch it on and be like, it's not about you, it's about Liv,
08:49like, just be there for her.
08:54You're gonna see?
08:56Yeah.
08:57You're gonna see?
08:59Yeah.
09:01You're gonna see?
09:02Yeah.
09:05Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
09:35Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
09:39She was in so much pain and she said it feels different to what it did before.
09:44Obviously, she wanted the home birth and the doulas wanted that to happen as well.
09:49But that just isn't the way that it went.
10:05Sparking memories and creating magic.
10:09Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
10:15Sparking memories and creating magic.
10:19Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
10:30Love Island star Olivia Bowen is fighting for her life tonight.
10:35After being rushed to hospital...
10:36...close to the family say Olivia suffered severe complications and lost several pints of blood.
10:41According to close friends, doctors made the urgent decision to perform an emergency situation...
10:45...at the scariest moment of our lives.
10:49Glade Fragrances
10:53I mean...
10:54...in a world of our parents to still have a lot of things...
10:56...we can take the shoes off...
10:58...we can go there...
10:59...we can take the shoes off...
11:01...and it's not trying to do this.
11:02...
11:02...so, I don't know what your time is.
11:05Super.
11:05This is Sienna.
11:33This is Sienna.
11:35It feels very surreal that she's actually in my arms here.
11:40It's a very strange feeling.
11:42Yeah, it's crazy.
11:43Like, you just instantly...
11:44I am just instantly in love with her.
11:46Like, I just think she's a little doll.
11:47She's just so sweet.
11:50We had a plan, didn't we?
11:52But it didn't quite come off the home birth
11:55that I sort of planned for unwanted.
11:58So, labour started, so the doulas came over
12:03and the midwife came and it was obviously really ramping up.
12:07I felt something that didn't feel right
12:10and they checked and they were like,
12:12you are quite swollen but it's just your cervix.
12:14I was only five centimetres dilated after about...
12:18I don't know, like, ten hours of, like, strong contractions.
12:22But I was really determined,
12:23so I was like, right, I'm just going to push through
12:25and we'll just see what happens.
12:26So I think we gave it another couple of hours.
12:28But then again, I felt this thing even worse
12:31and it was like a lump.
12:32This is going to get quite graphic.
12:34It's like a lump in my vagina, basically.
12:36So I ended up making the decision to go to hospital.
12:40I'd been at it, like, 24 hours.
12:42And it turns out that I had a really bad bladder prolapse.
12:47So my bladder had fallen down into the, like, cervix
12:52and was basically obstructing the exit for the baby.
12:56So there was no possible way
12:58that I could give birth to her vaginally.
13:01So then I made the decision to have a C-section
13:04and I was really scared about the C-section.
13:06I've...
13:07It's just a surgery that I've never had before
13:09and I've not really had surgery in my life,
13:11so it's quite a big thing.
13:12And knowing that you're being, like, cut open,
13:14it's not the easy way out.
13:16She come out crying.
13:17It was...
13:18Like, I've got the most amazing picture of her coming out.
13:21And you can see her immediately crying.
13:23It was just, like, incredible.
13:25Like, such a beautiful experience.
13:27They gave me CNR and I had her on my face,
13:31but I started to feel very dizzy and, like, out of control.
13:35And then all I remember is hearing the nurse, like,
13:38calling out how much blood I was losing
13:40and she was, like, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7.
13:43It was going up and up so quickly.
13:45And then, like, the fear really started to set in.
13:48It was very scary.
13:49Cos then they started, like, tannoying.
13:52Like, major haemorrhage, major haemorrhage
13:55all around the surgery room.
13:56That's all I really remember.
13:58And there was loads of doctors in and out
14:01and no-one would really tell me what was going on.
14:04It got to the point where I started to feel really sick and dizzy
14:07and Alex was, like, the blood just drained from your face.
14:10Like, you went so pale.
14:12I had to give her to Alex.
14:14I couldn't hold on to her anymore.
14:15Like, my arms just went.
14:17I remember thinking, like, just don't close your eyes.
14:20Cos I felt like I was gonna pass out or, like, worse.
14:23Like, we were both just very scared.
14:25Like, it was very close.
14:27I ended up losing about 2.8 litres of blood
14:31and you only have 4.5 litres.
14:33So it was over half blood loss.
14:36To feel like you're that close to, like, losing your life.
14:41Like, it was very, very scary.
14:43But the doctors were absolutely incredible.
14:46Like, the NHS was absolutely amazing.
14:49Like, I literally feel like they saved my life.
14:52I just remember laying there, like, obviously full of medication.
14:56I felt completely...
14:59I don't even know where I was.
15:01And it's hard because I wanted this natural, unmedicated birth
15:04where I was aware and I ended up having the complete opposite.
15:08But just going through that and feeling like I was about to literally lose my life,
15:13it's just made me not give a shit about what happened
15:17because, at the end of the day, I'm here and she's here.
15:20I just feel so lucky to have at least one year.
15:23Yeah, it's a lot harder than I thought it would be, the recovery.
15:33Obviously, your whole abdominal muscles have been completely cut through,
15:37so you have no strength.
15:39You can't drive for six weeks.
15:41You obviously can't work out or anything for six weeks.
15:44Recovery for me is even harder
15:46because I don't have the capacity in my body to actually recover
15:51because of the amount of blood that I've lost.
15:53So the doctor was kind of saying, like,
15:55it's going to be at least three months until you feel back to yourself
15:58or have the blood levels that you should.
16:00I need to just try and relax.
16:04And, yeah, Alex is going to have to be up and down those stairs.
16:09Every beck and call.
16:11If I could, would I go back where we started?
16:15I know you're still waiting, wondering where my heart is.
16:20Praying things won't change, but the hardest part is
16:25You're realising, maybe I, maybe I am
16:29Just trying to just, like, do as much as I can, really.
16:41Even if it's, like, small things, like, just make her a cup of tea,
16:44she needs food, like...
16:46Obviously, I'm going to probably have to take the reins of Abel a lot more now.
16:50But, yeah, it's just something, like, new to navigate, I think.
16:53But the main thing is we've got Sienna really,
16:56which is, like, the best thing ever.
16:57Like, she's just so beautiful, like, I absolutely love her.
17:04Are you OK?
17:06Yeah.
17:07There's a tea there.
17:08Do you want some toast?
17:10Oh, actually, peanut butter and toast, but, like, loads of butter.
17:14How much butter are we talking?
17:16Like, a whole block of butter.
17:18OK.
17:19I'll be totally honest, I don't know what I'm feeling.
17:22Like, seeing Liv the way that she was on that table, like, proper, like, scared the life out of me.
17:29And I don't know, it kind of...
17:33Like, people, women have amazing births.
17:35Like, people say it's the most beautiful thing ever.
17:38Like, for me and Liv, like, there were certain moments in it at the start when I think Liv, like, obviously it is, it's amazing.
17:46But then when things happen like that, like, I don't care how the baby gets here, I just want the baby here and safe, so...and leave, so...
17:57Thanks.
17:58Top fine cuisine.
18:01Thank God you can make toast.
18:03Hey, I've made two decent fry-ups.
18:07Ever since we went to the wilderness thing, you've been, like, fry-up kids.
18:11Yeah, I can't eat them and I just love the fact that I can do one and it actually looks good.
18:16Thanks.
18:17Do you want to hold her up, just let her?
18:19You're bringing, like, life into the world and you've done that together.
18:23Like, the woman does most of the work, let's just be honest about that.
18:26But, like, you've both brought this little thing into the world together, do you know what I mean?
18:31It's a beautiful thing, but on the other hand of that, like, you can also have a traumatic way to get there,
18:37which, like, makes you realise how much you do love your partner, do you know what I mean?
18:41And I love Liv more than anything in this world, so...
18:44I feel like I'm not as affected by it this time around.
18:46Like, I feel like I've processed it and I'm happy...
18:48I hated it.
18:49I'm happy with what happened.
18:50We got through, like, nearly 20 hours of labour at home.
18:53Like, that's a huge achievement to do.
18:55Yeah.
18:56I think you were more traumatised seeing me, like...
18:59Yeah, I'd never want to see it again.
19:00It was the worst thing I've ever seen.
19:02Do you know what?
19:03I just look back and I'm like, yeah, it was quite bad, but...
19:05Yeah, it was.
19:06It was bad.
19:07But, like, something happens to a woman's brain and they're like,
19:09yeah, it was bad, but...
19:11No, no, there's no a but.
19:12It was bad.
19:13For you, it doesn't work like that.
19:14It was horrible.
19:15Like...
19:16I guess I just try and see, like, the best of it now
19:19because it's happened and she's...
19:21She's using the best of it, is she?
19:22Do you know what I mean?
19:24I definitely feel the most womanly I've ever felt
19:27and after Abel's birth I felt like I'd failed,
19:30whereas this time I'm like, look what we went through
19:32and look how we're recovering and look what we're doing.
19:34Like, it's just a completely different mindset
19:37and I have to put that down to the prep from the home birth
19:40and this is why I would have loved to give birth at home,
19:44but everything I did to prepare for that
19:47prepared me for everything else that happened.
19:49So, it literally changed the game for me.
19:52Oh, can you fill my water up as well?
19:54Where's my bottle?
19:58So it begins.
19:59You know what's funny, yeah?
20:01Are you going to keep this going?
20:03So, you'll probably go to the doctors and be like,
20:05yeah, you're fine now, come back and you'll be like,
20:07I've still got to be done like this for six weeks.
20:09You know I'm not like that.
20:10I'm joking.
20:11Where is your bottle?
20:12I don't know.
20:13I haven't had any water this morning though.
20:15That's not good.
20:16No.
20:17That's her husband's job to moan about his wife not having water.
20:20Yeah.
20:21You need to ask me how much I'm drinking like 20 times a day.
20:28Feeling awful.
20:29Because I'm hungry.
20:31Bad.
20:32I just feel so fatigued.
20:36My calories have dropped for this show, but I'm trying not to show it to live.
20:39So, when I'm in the same room as though, I just kind of switch it on.
20:43Like, I've gone to the gym like three in the morning, not being able to train properly,
20:47because I was that fatigued.
20:48And then come back, got seeing her at like five, because she was awake.
20:52Had her on my chest for an hour.
20:53I ever woke up at six.
20:55And you've just got to go and just tick the boxes and get it done.
20:58Like, at the end of the day, like family's more important than me competing on stage,
21:03even though it's like three weeks away.
21:05Just got to be there for Liv now, there for Sienna, there for Abel as well.
21:09Probably more than anything.
21:11It's nice to just like, sit with her.
21:25No, no.
21:26Are you pooing?
21:28How do you actually feel, like, towards her and being a dad of two?
21:33Like, how, like, do you actually feel?
21:37I'd be lying if I said a part of me mentally wasn't struggling.
21:41Do you think that's because of...?
21:44I think it's a mixture of everything.
21:46When you've got her all the time, then when I try and go for her,
21:50I have her for a little bit, and Abel just pulls me away
21:52and I've got to go somewhere else.
21:53So it's harder for me to be with her.
21:55Mm.
21:56And I am struggling with it a little bit.
21:58Like, it's hard.
21:59I know it'll get better and it'll change.
22:01It's just difficult.
22:02Yeah.
22:03I think, like, on days like today where Abel's at nursery,
22:06like, when we have a minute, you just have to take it in as much as you can.
22:09Yeah, that's what I want to do.
22:11Hello.
22:12It's hard because, like, I feel like your mind is occupied.
22:17My mind is occupied.
22:19By the whole bodybuilding thing.
22:21And I feel like you can't fully invest into it.
22:23I'm in the last stretch now.
22:26Yeah.
22:30Can I smell it?
22:31I can smell it.
22:32I smell too.
22:33No!
22:34Yeah, I'm just trying not to be moody and irritable.
22:39I mean, it has been hard, to be honest.
22:44Yeah, I know.
22:45I just don't need to whine a bed.
22:47I just need to get on with it.
22:48Even though I've only got two meals left for the whole day now.
22:51I had my other meal, I couldn't.
22:53What?
22:54I couldn't not have it.
22:55Wait, but it's 11 o'clock.
22:56I know, I couldn't not have it.
22:57Because I was going to pass it out.
22:59I was walking around, um, shopping.
23:01You can't feel like that, though.
23:02I couldn't lift my legs.
23:03Yeah, but that means you're losing fat, which is good.
23:06I just can't comprehend it.
23:08I just think it's wild.
23:09It is wild.
23:16Sparking memories and creating magic.

23:27Sparking memories and creating magic.
23:30Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
23:36The sleep situation.
23:52I am tired.
23:54We've got Sienna next to me.
23:56And she's waking up, like, every couple of hours for a feed.
23:58And Alex does the odd nappy change.
24:00We're just, you know, we're surviving at this point.
24:03You'm in the middle of this.
24:04And the rest of you, colocond, is there.
24:05You're watching the music.
24:06I was not sure.
24:07I'm sorry.
24:08I'm sorry.
24:09You're coming up about it.
24:10But we're feeling great, too.
24:12We're shooting the music.
24:13I'm sorry.
24:14You're feeling a little different.
24:15But we're feeling good.
24:16We're feeling good.
24:17I'm sorry.
24:18You're feeling good.
24:19We're feeling good.
24:20But we're feeling good.
24:21These are some of the people.
24:23We're feeling good at you.
24:24I need you to go now, right?
24:38Shhh.
24:49Like, sleep deprivation is literally...
24:51It is the worst.
24:53You can't heal properly, you can't think properly,
24:56you've got, you know, no patience.
25:02Daddy!
25:16Mummy, chicken's coming now.
25:20Mummy, chicken's coming now.
25:23I'm going to go upstairs.
25:25I'm going to go upstairs.
25:30She's loud all the time.
25:40Let's go, look up there.
25:41Let's go.
25:43Let's go.
25:45I'm so tired today.
25:56I think it's starting to creep up on us, these split nights and hourly waits.
26:02It works quite well, because Alex gets up and he has to be the active one with all the energy.
26:07Obviously, where he's training for the show, that energy is nowhere to be seen.
26:10He's going to go upstairs.
26:12He's going to go upstairs.
26:13He's going to go upstairs.
26:14He's going to go upstairs.
26:15And then he's going to go upstairs.
26:16All right.
26:17You guys got to put washing away.
26:19I'm food.
26:20Come in, sir, and hang on.
26:32I'm trying not to be, like, rude and that, but I'm just, like...
26:36I'm struggling a little bit to...
26:38I'm just tired.
26:40What, baby?
26:41Can you help my talk?
26:42Yeah, I'm coming now.
26:43Let me just put this food away and I'll help you.
26:47I don't know, I'm just... I'm just tired.
26:50Edward, just go in the lounger set, please, and I'll come in.
26:52Just wait.
26:56I'm just tired.
26:57Like, I'm hungry.
26:58Like, I'm struggling to just, like, have any energy to hold my arms up.
27:01I'm just struggling.
27:03Like, I'm just trying to get through the day.
27:17Aw, that's a nice cuddle.
27:21We've got to make sure we get there on time, otherwise we can't go to Spain.
27:24We've got to get the birth certificate so that Mummy can book a passport appointment,
27:28so that we can go to Spain, because she's not got a passport.
27:31Are we going now?
27:32Going where?
27:33To Spain.
27:34To Spain?
27:35No.
27:36We're not going to Spain now.
27:37We're going to town.
27:43That's the middle.
27:44I need a YouTube tutorial.
27:46This is the first time I've walked up to town.
27:50It's like a ten-minute walk, so it's going to be quite strenuous on me.
27:53I'm already tired.
27:54We're just kind of mumbling through.
27:56Are you taking her in now?
27:58I'm going to see if it works, because she was asleep.
28:01She's not now.
28:05You want to sit in the pram, or are you going to walk?
28:08I'm sitting in the pram.
28:09Yeah.
28:10Or the pram then?
28:11I win.
28:12I win.
28:13Let's do this.
28:14Have you got the red book, passport?
28:15Yeah.
28:16OK.
28:23I want to get out.
28:24No.
28:25I want to.
28:26Oh, we could have brought a single pram if that was the cage table.
28:29Get out!
28:30Well, I'm not picking you up or carrying you.
28:32You've got to walk if you get out.
28:33That's a fact.
28:34Want to hold my hand?
28:40Can you hold her foot?
28:42I want to go to the park.
28:47We're going to go when we've done the birth certificate,
28:50then we're going to have some lunch, maybe get a milkshake.
28:53Do you want to paint some pottery again?
28:56Yeah.
28:57In the cafe?
28:58Yeah.
28:59So done.
29:00I actually feel like my legs are going to get away.
29:03It's not good.
29:04You're a nightmare.
29:05You're a nightmare.
29:06Two weeks left, baby.
29:09Come on.
29:10Stay right.
29:12I remember with Abel, like, the birth certificate was really significant for us
29:15because it just felt like, oh, they're a person.
29:17They're real.
29:18They're actually, like, they've got their name.
29:20So, Siena's birth certificate, like, it was, yeah, really exciting to get that planned and in.
29:26It's official.
29:27She's official.
29:28We have a Siena.
29:30A Siena Bowen.
29:34Come on.
29:35Shall we go celebrate with some lunch?
29:37Coffee time.
29:38Coffee.
29:39It's actually so surreal.
29:40I know why.
29:42Oh, my goodness.
29:44We're planning to go to Spain, so we need a birth certificate to get a passport to go to Spain.
29:47So, I wanted it to be a momentous occasion.
29:50She wrapped up like a burrito.
29:59Do you want to paint some pottery?
30:01Yeah.
30:02Yeah?
30:03Can you hold her for a bit?
30:05Oh.
30:06She knaps well good in that.
30:15Here.
30:16It says reserved.
30:18Can you make this for drinks?
30:20Er, yes, please.
30:21I've got chocolate.
30:23Please.
30:24Prima marshmallows.
30:25What do you say?
30:26Please.
30:27Good boy.
30:28Yeah, good boy.
30:29Oh, just a black americana, please.
30:31You're not eating, are you?
30:33Can I get a cheese and tomato toasty for him?
30:36Yes.
30:37And then could I get the smoked salmon and cream cheese and cucumber, please?
30:42Amazing.
30:43Thank you so much.
30:44Do you want to go chew something?
30:45Yeah.
30:46Yeah, come then.
30:47Alex is exhausted.
30:48He's still in his calorie deficit, which is really bad at the moment.
30:51He's barely eating.
30:52Oh, look, they've literally got Fairy in here.
30:55That's so cute.
30:57I'm trying to be the happy one.
30:59I'm trying to make him feel happier.
31:01He does it for me sometimes.
31:02Like, you take turns, but it's not working.
31:05It's clearly not working.
31:07Ooh!
31:09Abel.
31:10Large.
31:11Ooh!
31:12I'd love to know why.
31:17Yeah.
31:18I'll go there.
31:19She's past it, mate.
31:22I wish I was past out.
31:23I'm so tired.
31:24Same.
31:28Same.
31:29Do you have a competition of who's more tired?
31:33I don't really care.
31:34I'm just tired.
31:36It's not a competition.
31:37It is.
31:38It's not.
31:39It is.
31:40I'm done.
31:41That's the rule of some.
31:42We just compete on who's more tired than the other one.
31:44You're a bundle of joy.
31:45You're chatty.
31:46It's brilliant being out with you.
31:47I feel like, as a parent, it's always a fight for who's the most tired.
31:50You're always like, I'm tired.
31:51You're like, no, I'm more tired.
31:52But, like, I've just had serious surgery.
31:53Like, I was close to losing my life.
31:54We know that.
31:55Yet, Alex is the one struggling.
31:56And I'm like, this was my time.
31:57There we go.
31:58Right.
31:59Yay!
32:00We got some!
32:01Oh, you fish your eye was beautiful.
32:02Oh, thank you.
32:04That's a big coffee.
32:05I might bring your personality back.
32:06I don't think it will help.
32:07I'm feeling stronger.
32:08I feel like I'm dying.
32:09Like, my stomach feels like it's eating itself.
32:26Backs of my legs, I'm aching.
32:27I can't lift my arms.
32:28It's the same as that one, but I'm just I was fine.
32:34It's the same as that one, baby.
32:35I'm just running on empty life.
32:37Oh, look at that! Thank you.
32:39I've just got nothing to give.
32:41Safe to say you would never do it again.
32:43Yeah, I'm never doing it again.
32:44He's putting my food up, end of the week.
32:47But until then, I've just got to try and, like, just soldier on.
32:51But I've had no lunch yet. Yeah.
32:53And I'm out here, walking about, so...
32:56Apologies.
32:57Eh? Apologies. Yeah, you should be sorry.
33:00I'm joking. You are watching my house. I'm joking!
33:04I would never let you quit, because I know, like...
33:09You'd feel even worse if you didn't finish it, do you know what I mean?
33:12Oh, thank you. Oh, look, Abel.
33:15Hey!
33:16Look at that!
33:18Do you want to finish that and then... Chris.
33:28Abel, wait.
33:29What are you doing, then? What?
33:32You going to the park?
33:34Yeah, I'm going after her.
33:35Well, I wasn't planning to come to the park.
33:37You ain't going to come.
33:38You can just carry straight on and I'll walk back with him in a bit.
33:41I want to go now, Abel.
33:46All right.
33:50You want to lift her out? Yeah.
33:51I want to lift her out.
33:52Yeah.
33:56Come on.
33:59Just got to make sure we're in there nice and tight.
34:02Bye, then.
34:03See you in a bit.
34:04I want to see you all.
34:05All right?
34:06All right. See you later.
34:07Sorry, boy.
34:09Meet you back at home.
34:10I feel like I'm meant to be the one that's being difficult
34:15and I can't be.
34:16I'm the one that's holding it together.
34:18For him, I've just...
34:19I've literally just given birth and almost died.
34:25Got a complete scar across my stomach.
34:28Looking after a newborn baby that's feeding off me,
34:31waking up all night,
34:32yet I'm the one holding stuff together
34:34and having to be the happy one.
34:40All right, you ready?
34:41I just don't want to have, like, bad energy around Abel.
34:45Like, he's had his world turned upside down
34:49and I would never want him to give up,
34:52but it's really affecting me now.
34:55Don't get me wrong, like, he's helping as much as he possibly can,
34:59but it's just, like, situations like that
35:01where the mood is just not good.
35:02Alex just seems unhappy
35:09and I know that Abel will be able to read that.
35:12Like, all he can think about, really,
35:15is what he's got to eat, when he's got to eat it,
35:18when's his next meal, when do I train,
35:20when do I get my cardio in?
35:23Where does Abel and Sienna fit into that
35:24and are you losing out this early family time
35:27and not having, like, the time to really just relax
35:31and enjoy that little, like, bubble that we're meant to be in
35:34that everyone talks about?
35:36But maybe that's just not our lives.
35:37Like, maybe we just don't get the bubble.
35:39Can we go on now, please? Daddy needs to eat some food.
35:42No.
35:47Oh, my God, the hill.
35:48Like, two friggin' buildings.
35:56Winnie!
36:02If I don't laugh, I'll cry.
36:03Don't need it right now, Winnie.
36:06I have to wipe Abel's bum, clear up Winnie's poo,
36:11wipe this little girl's bum.
36:13Do you know how many times I've pooed with a baby on my lap
36:16more than I'd like to admit?
36:19Abel!
36:20Sparking memories and creating magic.
36:28Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
36:33Sparking memories and creating magic.
36:38Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
36:43I was in hospital for three days, two nights.
36:58I should probably have stayed,
36:59but I needed a cuddle from Abel, like, bad.
37:02Everyone, Mummy, you've got to be careful about that, Lee.
37:04I was just sat there with the baby girl in her little cot thing,
37:11and he'd brought cupcakes that he'd made for me
37:13and her, it was just the cutest thing ever.
37:15Why?
37:16You're sleepy, well, luckily you've been laying here with me.
37:20We did do things to kind of make sure that it went smoother
37:23than it could have done, so we had her in the cot.
37:25I wasn't holding her, I was separate.
37:27I went for a cuddle with him first.
37:29Like, we didn't ask him to hold her, we just let him go to her.
37:32Like, there was no, like, forcefulness.
37:34I know, I wish that she could come home with us now,
37:37but she's got to stay in a little longer with me,
37:39cos we got to be looked after by the doctors.
37:42He sat on the bed and he was, like, looking at her,
37:44like, just...
37:45I don't think he could connect the dots.
37:47Like, he's only three.
37:50He sat there and then he put her on his lap
37:52and, like, looked at her and you could see, like,
37:54his little face light up, it was so, so cute.
37:57To finally see that moment come to life was just, yeah, amazing.
38:01Such a good job.
38:04He was proud as punch.
38:05Like, he definitely felt like that proud big brother,
38:08even at his little age.
38:12At the start, Abel was amazing.
38:15He was so gentle, he was quite quiet and he was in love with her,
38:19proper cuddly and helpful and all of the things that you'd love
38:23for your three-year-old to be like.
38:24As the days went by, I think he started to realise she wasn't leaving.
38:31Hang on, Princess.
38:32And I guess he realised that our attention was elsewhere.
38:36Hey, Abel, do you remember when you was little you had a fart or shoot?
38:38We're going to text Sienna for a while.
38:39Pew, pew, pew. Pew, pew, pew.
38:41He is acting out a little bit, he's being a little bit louder,
38:43a little bit more brash, a little bit more difficult.
38:45He's just feeling a lot.
38:46Hey, Abel, look at me.
38:47What have I said about being a good boy?
38:48Fire.
38:49Mate.
38:51He doesn't really know how to kind of navigate it.
38:52Are you stressing me out?
38:53And, like, kind of lashing out and playing up a little bit
38:55and being naughty is his way of doing it and getting attention,
38:59I guess.
39:00I can't do it.
39:02I can't do it.
39:03You can't do it.
39:04I can do it.
39:05I can do it.
39:06I can do it.
39:07That's a bit of fun.
39:08On the other side, I can do it.
39:09I can do it.
39:10I can do it.
39:11I can do it.
39:12It's just a bit of fun.
39:13I can do it.
39:14I can do it.
39:15And I can do it.
39:16I can do it.
39:17I can do it.
39:18I guess you don't want to go mad at him because that's kind of what he wants but
39:30you don't want to let him keep getting away with the actual keep doing it so
39:33it's like what what's the balance where do you kind of deal with it
39:37right look look come here calm down okay
39:42I'm sure I wasn't meant to carry anything
39:56sorry baby that's very sunny isn't it window shades that's what we need
40:07I'm gonna have to
40:26wait he acts able to fall asleep which is probably good though
40:30because I mean Liv can get Sienna's done then once he wakes up leave him in five
40:35minutes and I'll bring him in and I can do that double shots and she's sleeping
40:39now but I don't know I'm gonna fall asleep it's so different with two yeah I'm a
40:51little bit worried he's gone to sleep he gets a bit moody when he wakes up he
40:54should be all right how long have you been to sleep for ten minutes and did he will he have long
40:59do you know I think I might give him like 20 more minutes even when he wakes up if
41:03I'm doing her he can always have a little play around and yeah and then when he's
41:06ready yeah we're gonna read yeah cuz I think that if we try and make him do
41:10something no he's really not you know he's like right you just do your thing it
41:14then yeah white noise as well yeah the shusha
41:20so
41:33ORCHESTRAL MUSIC CONTINUES
41:52Look, you sit on the sofa with Daddy in here.
41:56How often has she been going to do something? Quite often, yeah.
41:59But she usually falls asleep.
42:02Oh, my God, let me get in.
42:05No, it's fine.
42:06She's in a pub.
42:07She's in a pub!
42:08Oh, dear!
42:14You just have a picture with Sienna, and then we go...
42:17And then Daddy's going to take you for a little walk.
42:19Yeah.
42:23If you have a picture, yeah, then we can go to the pub
42:26and get your ice cream.
42:27How about that?
42:32Can you just do it for, like, ten minutes? Five minutes?
42:35Yeah.
42:37Can I have a walk with Daddy?
42:39Let's go for a little walk.
42:41Me and you.
42:42See, then I can get some pickies, and then we'll have one picture
42:45when we get back, yeah?
42:47No.
42:48You're going to have no strawberry ice cream, then?
42:50That's the way it works.
42:51You do constantly question yourself whether you are doing it right or wrong,
42:55but there's so many different opinions.
42:58Like, everyone could be right, everyone could be wrong.
43:01It just depends on how you want to parent and how you want to deal with it yourself.
43:05Look, just look at Daddy. I just want to talk to you.
43:08We all have to do something that we don't want to do, and it'll take two seconds,
43:13and it'll make Mummy really, really happy, OK?
43:16It could be a lot worse than it is, and I just feel like we've just got to show Abel
43:20a little bit more attention than what he's getting, but that's what I mean.
43:23Sometimes it is difficult, but you've just got to do the best you can.
43:26I just felt like, oh, God, like, he was doing really, really well,
43:54and now he's seeming unhappy, and I just don't want him to be unhappy,
43:57but I always tell myself it's not a bad thing to learn,
44:02it's just a hard thing to learn.
44:04I literally repeat that in my head all the time.
44:06It's not a bad thing to learn, it's just a hard thing to learn,
44:08and he's going to, you know, he's going to be a better person for this.
44:14Where do you want me?
44:15Oh, so we'll have Abel standing on that little stool.
44:19Do you want to sit on that?
44:21He wants to sit on my lap.
44:22All right, come here.
44:23You can sit on Daddy's lap.
