00:00Sparking memories and creating magic.
00:04Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
00:10Where's that sun?
00:15Why don't you put them on?
00:30Why don't you even sit like that?
00:36Energy levels and blah, today.
00:50Abel, do you know it's your birthday party today?
00:52All your friends are coming, man.
00:54How old are you going to be?
00:55Three.
00:56Three!
00:58I felt like I needed to go all out for Abel's third birthday.
01:03One, because I've just got major mum guilt, I'm having another baby.
01:06And two, I just love planning an event.
01:09If you could have any superhero be at your birthday party,
01:11who would you have?
01:12Um, Hulk smash.
01:14Hulk smash?
01:16Shall we ask him if he's free?
01:18Yeah.
01:19Shall I ring him?
01:19Yeah.
01:21Who else would you have there?
01:22Spider-Man!
01:24Spider-Man?
01:25Yeah.
01:26Would you want him to be there?
01:27Yeah.
01:28Do you think he'll come?
01:29Yeah.
01:30I don't think they're all going to be available, because some of them have to fight crime,
01:33you know?
01:35Mummy's just got to do some bits this morning and then we can get ready.
01:39Let's go, man.
01:40It's fun.
01:41Exciting.
01:42We have got so many jobs to get through this morning before the party starts.
01:47Thankfully, Abel is with the grandparents.
01:49We've got to pick up the straw bales, we've got the cake to collect, there's a bar to set
01:54up.
01:55Yeah, there's a lot going on.
01:56Hi!
01:57Hi!
01:58I love how they're carrying like huge straw bales and we're like, here we go, here's one
02:03box.
02:04I got an event planner called Kelly and she basically helped us plan the day.
02:11So, guests are coming from here.
02:13Kelly usually does weddings.
02:14It's obviously like a third birthday, maybe a bit below her.
02:18Bouncy Castle here, photo booth, glitter station, face painting, kids table.
02:24Abel-verse, level three.
02:27It's just everything that Abel loves.
02:29In Abel's brain, that's literally what his universe would be like.
02:32Ice cream, candy floss here, monster truck.
02:36This is just so extra for a kid's party, you know?
02:39When I was a kid, my mum used to like make a cake or maybe just buy one because she can't
02:43make cakes.
02:44Then we just used to have a few friends over and now Liv goes all out and gets a merry
02:49go round.
02:50She'll probably send him to space for one birthday.
02:52It's just a slight, not a slight issue but a little issue.
02:58It's another issue.
02:59A slight leak on the bar.
03:02Oh.
03:03I swear you can't be around black mold, is that not?
03:06So they said it's going to dry out before the event.
03:09How is that going to dry out?
03:11It's completely soaked.
03:13So it's not just the bar, it's the whole ceiling.
03:17But it looks awful.
03:19Yeah.
03:20I think this is like a big important thing as well, because like adults need to get
03:23through a kid's party.
03:24So alcohol is pretty important.
03:26And I think...
03:27So we're going to have to shut off the whole hall.
03:29Yeah.
03:30Why don't you keep it all outside?
03:31Yeah.
03:32Fine.
03:33Don't stress your little mind, my wife.
03:35That's literally impossible.
03:37Okay.
03:38Peace.
03:39Peace.
03:40Let's go get the cake, otherwise we're going to run out of time.
03:44It's already half ten.
03:45It's half ten!
03:46Panic station!
03:47Just relax.
03:48Relax.
03:49I need a snack.
03:53Oh, my God!
03:54That is absolutely unreal.
03:55He's going to love it.
03:56That is just insane.
03:57You're so clever.
03:58Yeah.
03:59Oh, my God!
04:00Quick time, man.
04:01It's not like you're pregnant.
04:02You've got to go really slow.
04:03I know.
04:04I'm also hungry and I want to eat it.
04:06It looks so cute.
04:07I'm so stuck.
04:08Why are you helping me?
04:22I'm out.
04:27Wow.
04:29That's pretty sexy.
04:30It's about 70 people come in.
04:3470 people coming. It's not a small, you know.
04:37I got a bit carried away.
04:40Hi, Ibs.
04:41Oh, baby!
04:44Very handsome. Oh, my God, look at you, baby.
04:49So, from my side, Mum, Mitch, Nan, Grandad.
04:53Whose birthday is it? Me!
04:55Yay!
04:58We've got, like, the aunties, obviously, Mum, Dad, you know, the lot.
05:02I love you, baby.
05:04Are you excited?
05:05Right, shall we go, yeah? Let's go, let's go, let's go.
05:11Ready? Ready to see your party?
05:13Mummy planned this for you.
05:17I think she's done really, really well.
05:19Oh, thanks.
05:21I will look!
05:25Oh, my goodness! Candy floss!
05:27Look at this!
05:29Look all that.
05:31Get ready to drive!
05:35This is not good!
05:38Yay!
05:40I'm a big kid myself, do you know what I mean?
05:43So, like, this is just, like, fun for me with him.
05:45And, like, just seeing his face light up,
05:47it just makes it all worth it, doesn't it?
05:48Yeah!
05:49Guys!
05:52Oh!
05:53Oh!
05:54Cheese, big cheese.
05:55Cheese!
05:57I just love having everyone together, like, getting all your family and friends together and seeing them enjoy it and seeing their kids enjoy it.
06:09It's not about any of, like, the fanciness of it.
06:11I just love seeing people having a good time.
06:13Hello!
06:14Oh, my God, the weather is all right!
06:16I know, I know.
06:17Thank God!
06:18Yeah, I don't know what is happening!
06:19I'm going to start!
06:20It's on your nose!
06:21It's on your nose!
06:22Say that!
06:23Abel, who's coming to your party today?
06:26When we all dream for the lovely Spider-Man and...
06:32Hulk's Man!
06:33Oh!
06:34I didn't see him!
06:35Oh, my goodness!
06:36Look!
06:37Do you want to come to Spider-Man?
06:39Do you want to come to Spider-Man?
06:40Oh, my God!
06:42Aw!
06:43Do you do a fist pump with Spider-Man?
06:45Do you do a fist pump with Spider-Man?
06:47Yay!
06:49Yay!
06:50Thank you!
06:54Abel, enjoyed it.
06:55Have you seen him being stopped?
06:56I came in, I've been about an hour.
06:57I think I spoke to him once.
06:58I couldn't get near him.
07:01He's got big teeth.
07:02He's got big teeth?
07:03Can you believe how big he is?
07:04Look how big his feet come.
07:05Do they look like Daddy's feet?
07:07Yeah, just more green.
07:10With the baby coming, it's going to be fantastic.
07:12There's plenty of us about to help.
07:14We all take part.
07:15We're a good family.
07:16So, yeah, it should be fun.
07:17There you go.
07:19Abel!
07:20Happy birthday, dear Abel!
07:23Happy birthday to you!
07:27Ready?
07:28Blow out, blow out, ready?
07:31I am scared that I'm going to miss us three.
07:34I say it to Alex all the time.
07:35I'm like, it's the end of an era.
07:37Like, it feels weird to me that it's not just going to be us three anymore.
07:42And it does make me think, oh, we need to really make the most of us three.
07:47And making memories just us.
07:48And soaking up every part of Abel.
07:51Because I feel like when baby girl gets here, he's going to grow very, very fast.
07:55And I'm going to feel like I'm missing things.
07:57It's going to be different for him.
07:59It's going to be a big change.
08:00And I don't know how he's going to navigate it.
08:01So, I just wanted this to be, like, all for him.
08:02Yeah.
08:03Big upset.
08:04Yeah.
08:05He's still my baby, though.
08:06I know.
08:07He'll always be your baby, even when he's, like, 40.
08:08Even when he's, you know, literally.
08:09His wife's going to hate me.
08:10Oh, my God.
08:11It'll be fine.
08:12Why are you so obsessive with your son?
08:13I don't know.
08:14Have you seen him?
08:15The last doula appointment we had was a nightmare.
08:34I obviously forgot childcare.
08:37Stop doing that, brother.
08:39So, this time, Abel's looked after and there's so much to get through.
08:43It was quite a serious one today.
08:45They're going to talk about birth plan and they're going to do some hypnobirthing.
08:50So, there'll be lots of breathing.
08:51What is hypnobirthing?
08:52Breathing techniques and stuff.
08:56Is that them?
08:58Is that them?
09:00Why are you not...?
09:01What?
09:02Oh, my God.
09:03So, I'm just going to take my tablet.
09:04I've got a toothache.
09:06I just need Alex to be present and just support and calm.
09:12And I know that's quite hard because, obviously, he went through the trauma with Abel's birth,
09:16you know, nearly as much as I did.
09:18So, yeah, I just need him to take it seriously.
09:21Oh.
09:23I did, right?
09:25I'd give you a hug, but I'm sweating.
09:27Oh, yeah, he's so sweaty.
09:28I was like, you need to change your top because...
09:30It's disgusting.
09:31I'm not stinky now.
09:33Oh, good.
09:34Right, let's do this.
09:35Let's make this baby happen.
09:37You know?
09:38So, we talk about a positive birth experience being about how you guys look back on it and
09:45how he feels.
09:46We want you to be making all the decisions and giving consent at every point, feeling empowered
09:51and respected and feeling in control.
09:53See, this is the thing, like, I'd had none of that last time.
09:56Like, I didn't give consent to things.
09:59I didn't make the decisions.
10:00They were taken from me.
10:01I felt, like, really vulnerable and disrespected at times.
10:07I was in labour for a long time with Abel.
10:10And then my waters were burst and he was in a really bad position and it meant that he
10:15dropped into my pelvis in a really awkward way so that I was in, like, excruciating pain.
10:20I've never seen her like that and you feel helpless.
10:23You can't do anything to, like, help her.
10:25And you've just got to keep asking, are you okay?
10:27It was just an absolute nightmare, to be honest.
10:30Baby's heart rate dropped a few times.
10:32I ended up nearly having a C-section but last-minute dilating.
10:37This was after about 28 hours.
10:39Then went into the theatre operating room and they were able to get him out with forceps.
10:44It was all very traumatic.
10:45He had cuts all over his face.
10:47It was just not what I expected.
10:53We're going to make sure that people are listening to you and are asking for your consent
10:57and are letting you make the decisions.
10:59Yeah.
11:00I do feel relaxed because I know one of you are going to be there and I know everything
11:03you think is what I think.
11:05Mm.
11:06So, how does birth actually work?
11:08Let's get you guys to stand up.
11:11First we know that your labour has started, you're having some lovely rhythmical surges
11:15and you've done all your hypnobirthing and you feel really relaxed and...
11:18Just feel relaxed.
11:19No!
11:20I'm well relaxed.
11:21Baby's head's being pushed down and your muscles are just going to open with ease
11:25and let the baby through and then...
11:27Baby!
11:28Hello!
11:29Aw!
11:30She's so cute!
11:31OK, let's do it again.
11:32OK.
11:33This time, we're not calm and relaxed.
11:35We haven't done our hypnobirthing.
11:37We're full of fear.
11:38So, baby's trying to get out.
11:40It's not allowed out.
11:42Can you imagine how that feels?
11:45Yeah.
11:46That makes sense.
11:47If I had done this with Abel, I would have had a different birth, 100%.
11:50That's what I truly believe.
11:51Like, some people might be like, oh, you know, it's all airy-fairy, breathing, blah, blah, blah.
11:56But I truly believe in it, so...
11:58And I've seen the research and read the books and I back it.
12:02In order for oxytocin to flow, we need you to feel comfortable and safe.
12:07OK, we want to think low lighting, hushed tones, just calm atmosphere.
12:15I was daydreaming for quite a lot of it, to be honest.
12:17Sometimes it is hard, like, to kind of keep that concentration for that long.
12:22I just want to listen to what I've got to do, so then I don't mess up my job.
12:25That's pretty much...
12:26That's pretty much all I need to listen to, really.
12:30Anyone mess much?
12:31I did try that last time.
12:33Did you?
12:34It made me...
12:35It just annoyed me.
12:36OK.
12:37Did you do it yourself?
12:38It's usually easier if someone else does it.
12:41Oh, of course he's going to want to do that.
12:43Yeah, ma'am.
12:44Do you know what it is?
12:45No.
12:46This is Olivia's vagina.
12:52OK, yeah.
12:53Brilliant.
12:54She's lying on her back.
12:55It's sparkling.
12:56Perineal massage is working on the deep muscles around this area.
13:02OK.
13:03So it's the muscles between the vagina and the rectum.
13:08And we want to either use a thumb or two fingers, going in quite far,
13:14up to sort of find something.
13:16There's no way you're going to be able to do this without...
13:19Without what?
13:22Come on.
13:23What?
13:24He would not be able to concentrate.
13:26There's no way in hell that that would not end differently.
13:33He's just thinking of releasing oxytocin.
13:35That's right, you know.
13:36It's not about me, you know.
13:37It's about your oxytocin level.
13:38That's it.
13:39That's it.
13:40Like, I'm tired, man.
13:41You can massage my vagina wall, but you aren't getting anything back.
13:44Like, there's no way.
13:50Yeah, the next thing I need to do is write the birth plan, which...
13:53That's the thing that I want to know about the most.
13:55Yeah.
13:56Because, like, I just need a list of what I've got to do.
13:59Obviously, you know what?
14:00I've done all you want from me now.
14:02This is the thing.
14:03Just tell me what I've got to do.
14:04It's always just tell me what I've got to do.
14:06I think the thing is, you've just been given a load of information.
14:11Yeah, I know.
14:12And you need to do the homework.
14:14You know me.
14:15Like, I'm good if I have something, boom, boom, boom, in place.
14:18I know, but it's always just up to me.
14:21It's not.
14:22That's what it sounds like.
14:24I'm not saying you give me a list.
14:26I've not said that.
14:27But that is what you've said.
14:29And just because the baby's in me, it doesn't mean it's just up to me.
14:34Tell me what app I'm downloading.
14:35You need to tell me this.
14:36Like, you are also in the group chat.
14:39You have got a really big part to play in this.
14:42I'd rather sit down together and be like,
14:44right, this is the stuff I've got to learn that's the most important.
14:46Do that in a minute.
14:47Eat your food and we'll do that.
14:48Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
14:49This is the stuff that's important that I need to learn, and I'll do it.
14:52Like, all the birth pool and all that stuff I know.
14:55I want to make sure that's all sorted and set up
14:57and we know how to do it and it's all fresh.
14:58Yeah, I guess it's just because I've been doing this for the past few months
15:01and now you're like, give me a list.
15:02That stresses me out.
15:03There's only asking a question.
15:06When they've told you, they gave you that.
15:08He's so hungry.
15:09You see how angry he is?
15:10I can't even talk to you when you're like this.
15:11It's so annoying.
15:12And I don't know if it's just because you're hungry or like...
15:14Well, probably.
15:15Well, then maybe we shouldn't have this conversation whilst you're hungry.
15:22You make me stressed.
15:28Just don't get hungry next time.
15:30Just don't get hungry next time.
15:32Let's go.
15:33Let's go.
15:38Sparking memories and creating magic.
15:41Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
15:48Sparking memories and creating magic.
15:51Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
15:56Obviously, me and Alex are like the closest of close.
16:09But we do butt heads on things.
16:11It's just what happens.
16:13Basically, it's always like, tell me what to do and I'll do it.
16:17Or write me a list and I'll do it.
16:19Yeah, because I don't know what your mind thinks.
16:21You think like 25,000 things at a time.
16:23I know.
16:24It's just a lot.
16:25I'm not saying like...
16:26You like doing things, being in control of things.
16:28So, who am I to take that away from you?
16:30It's just, erm...
16:33It's just like, everything has to be sought by me.
16:36That's how it feels sometimes.
16:38In this situation, like, if you wanted a home birth and you winged it,
16:43you'd end up in hospital.
16:44Right, then, list time.
16:46Let's not argue about it.
16:47Yeah, let's just drop some beats, you know?
16:50No.
16:51Stop it.
16:52To be fair, I'm quite happy to do the list for the birth plan for Alex
16:56because I know that I'll cover everything,
16:58whereas if I let Alex kind of wing it,
17:00who knows what would be on there?
17:02First on my list is get snacks.
17:05Are you writing it like that?
17:08Do you see what I mean?
17:10What, cos I haven't put number one in a dot?
17:12Yeah.
17:13There's no heading, there's no subheading.
17:16Oh, for God's sake, I'm not writing a book.
17:19We've got to set the pool up,
17:21get the playlist set up so she can listen to the playlist,
17:24have all her snacks ready,
17:26just be there on hand and foot,
17:27like, sit next to her in the pool
17:29and just literally just, like...
17:31I don't know, just be there for her.
17:33Like, there's not, like, a blueprint to it.
17:35So, I actually already started you with this.
17:38Do you see what I'm saying?
17:40I can't win.
17:42That's what I'm saying.
17:43I knew she'd written a list
17:44and then she makes me feel like I'm the one that's being bad.
17:47No, but it did check me out.
17:48I knew you'd write the list.
17:49I want you to want to write your own list.
17:51Oh, my God.
17:53Oh, my God.
17:55Let's go through the list.
17:57So, it says contact my mum by phone when labour begins.
18:01That's fine.
18:02She'll collect Abel, his bag will be packed
18:04and it'll be in the utility.
18:05Done.
18:06Only text your mum and my dad
18:09to say that I'm in labour.
18:10No-one else needs to know.
18:12Just because I think it'll add to our stress.
18:14But I just know that it'll probably stress them out
18:16thinking about it when you don't need to.
18:18So, do you want me to change that?
18:19Yeah, just change that.
18:20So, just don't text anyone?
18:21Shut curtains and blinds in the lounge, kitchen, utilities...
18:24I always keep them shut anyway.
18:26Dining room and our bedroom with low, calming lighting.
18:29Put on lavender diffuser
18:31and birthing playlist on speaker.
18:34Yeah, I've got that.
18:35Time contractions.
18:38Yeah, use an app.
18:39Our dog Winnie will be present.
18:42That's so funny.
18:46I think that's fine.
18:47I don't want her to be shut out.
18:48Yeah, it's fine.
18:49She can walk around.
18:50No vaginal examinations, please, unless for emergency reasons.
18:55I do not consent to an episiotomy.
18:57Please ask my husband in the situation.
19:02I would like an active and instinctive natural birth unassisted.
19:06Do you want to catch the baby if you had a chance?
19:09Catch?
19:11Like if it...
19:12Sometimes when you're in the water...
19:13You mean just scoop up?
19:15Yeah.
19:16Yeah, not catch.
19:17I know.
19:18Sometimes in the water they kind of, like, swoop under the water.
19:22Like a wall?
19:23Do you feel better now about the list?
19:26Yeah.
19:27The list that you've already written.
19:28Do you want me to laminate it?
19:30Oh, my God.
19:32This is an arts and crafts.
19:33I will laminate it, though.
19:35Just laminate it.
19:36Just in case.
19:37Do you want it to get wet?
19:38So I'm meeting up with Liv's dad, Gary, today for a little bit of golf.
19:55When I first came out of the show, he obviously gave me the talk, saying,
19:58what do you think with my daughter then?
20:00He gave me that.
20:01But then it was like, after five minutes of that, we just really got on well.
20:04And we've all been, like, really good mates and that as well ever since.
20:08You got let out, then?
20:11She let you out?
20:12I'll get to go out whenever I want to go out, mate.
20:14All right?
20:17I got on with Alex really, really well.
20:20I would be proud if he was my son.
20:21He's my son-in-law, but I treat him like a son.
20:24He hates the mickey taken out of him, and I love taking the mickey out of him.
20:28I thrive on it.
20:29And I do have to remember occasionally that he's about another 18 inches bigger than me.
20:35It makes me laugh, yeah, when you say...
20:37You playing golf?
20:39No, when you say to me, like, oh, she's let you out then, you're scared of her as well.
20:43No, I'm not.
20:44No, I find Olivia quite scary at times, we've got to be honest.
20:47And I don't get into arguments with her.
20:49There's no point.
20:50I can't win anymore.
20:52When do you have a good leave ever?
20:53Never.
20:54Exactly.
20:55Cos you know your place.
20:56Oh, yeah.
20:58And I know my place, and I like it.
21:01Right, then.
21:02This should be funny.
21:08Nice shot, Al.
21:09Yeah.
21:10OK.
21:11No laughing, right?
21:14Right, ready?
21:15No.
21:16Oh, you...
21:24So, you're nervous then, Al?
21:25I ain't nervous at all this time, to be honest.
21:27You're not?
21:28I'm just excited.
21:29I think, I don't know if it's cos I'm having a little girl this time.
21:32Yeah.
21:33Like, I just want her to be here now.
21:35Yeah, I'm excited about that.
21:36Well, I just find girls and their dads, with both my girls...
21:39It's different.
21:40I've just had a total different relationship with him.
21:42Much closer relationship with the girls.
21:44Yeah.
21:45It's weird, eh?
21:46Maybe because they're both very similar to me.
21:50Got bad attitude.
21:53Answer for everything.
21:55Yeah, absolutely.
21:56But no, I suppose as a dad you just feel more protective over a girl.
21:59Yeah.
22:00Sometimes I think, I feel like that, but then I'm very protective over Abel,
22:03so how much more protective can I be with a little girl?
22:05I just think you might feel a difference when you have a little girl.
22:09But then, it was hard to be protective for Liv cos she's so independent.
22:13I know.
22:14She just had a certain way of doing things.
22:18Her own way.
22:20Yeah.
22:21But then, to be fair, most of the judgements she's made have been 100%.
22:26I know.
22:27I mean, she could have ended up with some idiot, like, and now she's with me.
22:31Yeah.
22:32I suppose sometimes it's best for me not to make a comment.
22:39Livy came to me and stayed with me the night before.
22:43She went on the show.
22:44She said, what do you think?
22:45And I said, you've just got to go for it.
22:47My daughter can go on the chase or something.
22:50She ain't giving on no love island.
22:52See now, how can you say that?
22:54What?
22:55How can you win on it?
22:56Yeah, but I've got tattoos.
22:57My son ain't having tattoos cos I regret all of them.
23:00I regret all of them.
23:01Well, it doesn't mean he's going to regret them.
23:03Yeah, but I don't care.
23:04He ain't doing nothing until he's 18 and he can do what he wants.
23:07Yeah, we'll see.
23:17Watch it, look.
23:18Move your fingers out.
23:19Right, that's it.
23:20Hold it on tight and dent it a little bit and then do it.
23:23Boom.
23:24There you go.
23:25No, no more.
23:26Oh, my God.
23:27You do it.
23:28This could be the...
23:29Me too.
23:30This could be the longest dinner making ever.
23:41Alex, we'll be doing bedtime tonight.
23:43Do you want a hot sauce on yours?
23:47Yeah.
23:48No.
23:49You can't have hot sauce.
23:50Abel's eating Alex's bodybuilding diet right now.
23:54Minced meat, potatoes and broccoli, but he absolutely loves it.
23:58I feel really guilty going out at all.
24:00But I haven't seen Tina in so long.
24:03Tina is a friend from Love Island and in the villa she was literally one of my best friends and she's, yeah, Alex is as well.
24:10Tina went back on Love Island All Stars this year and I actually cannot wait to hear the goss.
24:17Oh my goodness.
24:18What do you think we like that for?
24:20Nothing else fits me.
24:21Oh really?
24:22Huh?
24:23Does nothing else fit you?
24:24Oh, do you want me to wear leggings?
24:25Oh, beautiful.
24:26Right, what time can I expect you back?
24:27Is it party night or what?
24:28Yeah, I reckon like 9am probably rocking.
24:29I have loads of reading.
24:30Say bye bye to baby sister.
24:42Bye bye baby sister.
24:43Say bye mommy.
24:45Bye mommy.
24:49Bye mommy.
24:50Kiss.
24:51Kiss.
24:55Love you.
24:56A lot of the stuff that I usually do, I can't do because I'm pregnant.
25:11I feel guilty leaving Abel, so I haven't been able to go out as much.
25:15Being pregnant is quite isolating.
25:17You feel like a very, very different person to who you were.
25:21I feel like I haven't seen you in so long.
25:23I know how our lives are so different.
25:25I literally said this to Alex, I was like, I'm going to see Tina and I'm going to live vicariously through all her stories because I don't get to go anywhere.
25:32You know, we've been friends ten years.
25:33I know.
25:34Well, because when I went on Love Island, I was like, as if it's been nine years, like, later.
25:39When you look back, though, we look like babies.
25:41Like, we look so...
25:41Oh, yeah, I know.
25:42Who was that person?
25:43And you were our little third wheel.
25:45It was adorable.
25:45Oh, yeah, I know.
25:46Just go away all the time, though.
25:47You're never in England.
25:48It drives me insane.
25:49I can't sit still.
25:50You know me.
25:50I'm like, I'm severely in each day.
25:52I can't sit still.
25:53And I get bored.
25:54And I'm like, well, where next?
25:56Honestly, it drives me crazy.
25:58I'm like, sat in my house, like, pregnant with a three-year-old, and you're, like, off gallivanting.
26:02Yeah, but if I had something to keep, like, I mean, I have a dog to keep me company, but, like, I don't have anyone or anything to keep me company.
26:07If I was you, I would be doing the exact same thing.
26:10Yeah, I mean, I am on the husband hunt, and I don't think that the husband's in the UK, so that's maybe why I travel so much.
26:16Do you end up speaking to Scott much?
26:20I suppose to him, like, when I got out of bed, but, no.
26:22And then I found out he was dating someone else.
26:25Well, no, dating, I think it was someone else.
26:26Our lifestyles are quite different anyway.
26:28Yeah.
26:29When I was watching you on it, me and Alex were like, Scott and Tina just don't have the same lifestyle.
26:35Like, he's sober.
26:36But I thought about it in the beginning.
26:37Yeah, no, and I do love the glass of wine.
26:39But, you know, I thought about it in the beginning, but then I was like, you know, maybe that's quite good for me.
26:42It's quite hard for me to know, like, what I want in someone.
26:46I mean, it's fun, obviously.
26:47Yeah, of course.
26:48And I've got you.
26:49And you've got me.
26:49And I've got you.
26:50I promise once this baby comes out, I'm coming out.
26:54I don't know if I've told you, but Alex is doing a bodybuilding competition.
26:58Have you seen?
26:59I mean, I've seen him always in the gym.
27:01He's always in the gym.
27:01He's doing, like, some, like, gym stuff.
27:05So he's in the gym five times a week.
27:08He's eating, like, clean, like, and then I'm here.
27:12Good saying.
27:12Just, yeah, but you're pregnant.
27:15I know, but this just makes it hard because I'm trying to just stay above water.
27:19Yeah.
27:19And, like, get along in life and actually wake up in the morning and, like, be able to walk down the stairs and look after a toddler and not feel guilty.
27:28And, like, prepare everything for the baby.
27:30And I just feel like his main concern is the gym.
27:35So we are very open about it, but we did have a little bit of a...
27:37But the doulas came over and they, like, told us loads of stuff.
27:41And then after he was like, can you just write me a list of what you need me to do?
27:44And I was like, were you not just in the same conversation?
27:48Why do I have to write you a list?
27:51Why not my job? I'm the pregnant one.
27:54I don't know if I could actually be pregnant myself.
27:56Like, I don't know how I would manage it.
27:58It's, like, the most amazing thing at times, but at other times it's so hard.
28:01Like, even coming out tonight, I'm just so, like, tired and...
28:05Uncomfortable.
28:06Like, like, my vagina hurts.
28:09Underneath, like, literally under my vagina hurts.
28:11I just... I don't...
28:12When does that even happen?
28:13Why does the underneath of my vagina hurt?
28:15I don't know.
28:15I didn't know that was a thing.
28:16Nor did I.
28:22Oh, my God, they're massive.
28:25You know, people are like, you should eat spicy food if you want to go into labour.
28:29Yeah.
28:29But when you go into labour, you're likely to poo.
28:32So I don't want to have a spicy poo.
28:35Why don't you just anal douche?
28:37Because I can't reach my anus.
28:40Alex can.
28:42If he could, we wouldn't be in this mess, Tina.
28:45Sparking memories and creating magic.
28:58Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
29:04Sparking memories and creating magic.
29:08Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
29:12Okay, so this is the design for your room.
29:24How cute is it?
29:26We have a guest room that we think we need to do over,
29:29especially for Alex's mum.
29:32So we're going to paint?
29:32We're going to paint.
29:34I've actually brought you down here to work.
29:36Is that okay?
29:37Well, I was just going to say, so I've got to, like, work for my room.
29:40Yeah, basically.
29:41Okay.
29:41She's going to be a lot of help having two kids.
29:45I want her to be heavily involved.
29:46I want her to feel like she can come stay.
29:48So we're going to do this big makeover for the guest room
29:50to make sure she feels at home.
29:52Wow.
29:53So, you know how in the bathroom we've got, like,
29:55the sort of pearly Mother of Pearl titles?
29:58Yeah.
29:59I just thought it would be so nice to have, like,
30:01a coastal kind of theme.
30:03The grandparents are here very often.
30:05They do loads for us.
30:06They do, they do.
30:07My mum's incredible.
30:09She comes and looks after Abel.
30:11Louise comes down from Wolverhampton.
30:13My dad's there.
30:14It's a huge difference when you've got people like that around you.
30:17We're doing it all.
30:18We're doing it all today.
30:19Yeah, that's fighting.
30:21I feel like things are really starting to come together.
30:24The blinds, curtains and holdbacks have now all been fitted.
30:27Window dressing always makes such a big difference.
30:29I absolutely love interior design
30:31and it's something that I got into during COVID, actually.
30:34And I studied it and I just found this new passion.
30:37And it was at the same time that we bought our house
30:40that we had to renovate the whole place.
30:41I was like, God, I actually need some knowledge here.
30:43I can't just do this without knowing anything.
30:45On social media, I have an interiors home account,
30:51which is where I basically post all my home stuff.
30:53So renovations, inspo, tips and tricks.
30:56I'm going to do a quick little downstairs house tour.
30:58I'm going to show you the dining room.
31:01It started to feel like social media wasn't me.
31:05Like I wasn't putting the right person out
31:07that was actually who I was.
31:09I was enjoying things like hoovering
31:11and designing rooms and paint colours.
31:14And it's turned into a career for me.
31:16This is just a gorgeous dark navy
31:18that just works really well in any entertaining space.
31:22I am getting more into property
31:24and we have a few properties that we've kind of done up.
31:27I want to be able to plaster.
31:29I want to try and, you know, fit floorboards.
31:31I want to be really involved.
31:33Finally, we have the wardrobes
31:34and I've been so excited about these
31:35because these are a big part of the room.
31:37Because it's something that I love
31:38and I get so much kick out of finishing it.
31:41I can't explain to someone
31:43that doesn't love interior design as much as me
31:45how it feels.
31:47Hello.
31:49Here he is.
31:51Good session?
31:52Yeah.
31:53I was a little bit busy.
31:55Oh, he needs food.
31:56He needs food.
31:57I love how he immediately said that.
31:59Yeah, since one month, you know.
32:01He needs food.
32:02I just showed you mine on the keyboard.
32:03I've just had my jobs.
32:05Yeah.
32:06I ain't got no jobs today.
32:07Yes, you have.
32:08I'm not helping painting.
32:09You are painting.
32:10You're painting.
32:11Yeah, I've got my own personal job to do.
32:12Like what?
32:13I've got to go with whole stuffies.
32:15Oh.
32:16Hard life.
32:18I've got to clean my wardrobe and my clothes
32:20that I've got to get rid of.
32:21But you do know that your mum has come, like, to visit.
32:25You have got to help us paint, though,
32:26because we're never going to get it done today.
32:28You just do the lower bits over the top bits.
32:30Yeah, take that one out.
32:32Gently, gently.
32:34That's it.
32:35Me and Louise are going to upcycle some bedside tables.
32:39I don't like buying everything new.
32:40I like to try and put my hand to something.
32:43Right, we've got to get the drawers off first.
32:46Cool.
32:47The only person that really knows me better than Alex is Louise,
32:50and I think sometimes it's nice to go to her
32:52to get a view on if we've had an argument
32:54or if something's, you know, gone wrong
32:57or even if something's gone right.
32:58Like, it's just nice to understand Alex
33:00from Louise's point of view.
33:02Did you get on when you, you know, when you had your...
33:05You saw the do list the other day?
33:09Yeah, it was good.
33:10Like, it was just a lot of information
33:12and I just feel like it probably overwhelmed both of us.
33:15Like, I know that, like, with Alex,
33:17he just wants to make this, like, the best possible situation for me
33:21and I think he's worried about being able to do that.
33:24Yeah.
33:24So he's probably stressed about, you know...
33:27He is a worrier anyway, isn't he?
33:30Me and Alex had a bit of a spat in the kitchen
33:32because he asked me to write him a list
33:34after we'd just spoke to the dealers
33:36and I was like, you've just heard the same thing as me
33:38and you're asking me to write...
33:40He thinks if you write the list for him
33:43and there's something missing off that list...
33:45It's my fault.
33:46...you're not going to say anything.
33:48He's like a gentle giant, aren't he?
33:50Yeah, he's a sensitive soul.
33:51He is very, very sensitive.
33:52I always say this.
33:54Who's a sensitive soul?
33:55Yeah.
33:55You are.
33:55You're very sensitive.
33:57I always say this.
33:58I'm like, people don't understand what he's actually really like.
34:00No.
34:00Like, people see, like, a six-foot-two, like, muscly bloke
34:03and it's like, no, he's actually a little ice cream, like...
34:06A little ice cream?
34:06Yeah, you're like a little soft scoop.
34:09How am I an ice cream?
34:10Don't ever call me soft.
34:11You're a soft scoop.
34:12Where are you going with that, right, bro?
34:14No, I'm not.
34:15You are.
34:16No, I'm not.
34:20I absolutely adore Louise
34:22and I think we've got such a great relationship.
34:24Like, it's just so nice and I'm so glad that I've grown up enough
34:27to see how important a mum is in a son's life.
34:32Blue!
34:35You're right, when Alex comes to help, he'll be like,
34:38Oh, what have I got to do here?
34:39Yeah, he hates it.
34:41What do I do?
34:42He was so spoilt, that child.
34:45I just did, like, everything for him, didn't I?
34:48He was your baby, though, do you know what I mean?
34:50Like, if it's just you two, it's different,
34:52especially, like, where...
34:53He didn't have his dad with him, like...
34:55You get that bond, don't you?
34:57Like, I never really fully understood it until I had Abel.
35:01Honestly, when I think about raising Abel
35:04and having Alex there so much, like, we're pretty much...
35:08I wouldn't say we're 50-50 parents, but we're as much as possible
35:11and Louise had to do that all on her own.
35:13And I'm just...
35:14Sometimes I'm in awe of the fact that she raised a child on her own.
35:17Like, single mums are a force to be reckoned with.
35:20Do you know what he said to me when one of my friends,
35:23mum and dad, split up?
35:24He was like,
35:25I feel worse for you because I never knew what it was like,
35:29but you did and you lost it.
35:31Well, I never lost it.
35:32And I was like, that is so, like, profound.
35:34See, but do you know what, though?
35:36That makes me happy.
35:37Yeah.
35:37Because that was...
35:38So he doesn't feel like he missed out.
35:40No, that was the whole point of me doing what I did...
35:44You were super-hum.
35:45..when he was so tiny.
35:47Yeah.
35:48Because I didn't want him to have to grow up seeing things.
35:54My real dad, he was an alcoholic and so was his mother.
35:56And, yeah, like, I remember my mum telling me, like,
36:01she...
36:02His mum came round and she was, like, drunk
36:04and she dropped me when I was, like, full and I'm sold
36:06and that was, like, that was it.
36:08And then he used to come back drunk all the time.
36:10And then, like, to be honest,
36:12I'm glad that my mum was strong enough to kind of leave him
36:14and then give me the best life that she possibly could, so...
36:17You did the right thing.
36:18So him saying that has probably...
36:20Yeah.
36:21He, like...
36:21..made it a bit better for me that I did the right thing.
36:25Can I be totally honest?
36:26I don't care.
36:27Like, I don't think I've ever had a thought where I would be,
36:29like, oh, I want a dad.
36:30Never thought that in my life.
36:32I turned out all right.
36:33Some might say delightful.
36:35Are you finished yet?
36:36Shut up.
36:41I'm so hot and it's not even in a sexy way.
36:44It's in, like, a sumo wrestler in Mexico kind of way.
36:50Why don't you want to help make a beautiful room for your mummy?
36:54Alex likes to do what Alex likes to do.
36:57So, when it's what Livia likes to do, Alex does not like to do it.
37:05See?
37:06Can't go and cut the grass instead.
37:08No.
37:09Cutting the grass...
37:11Yeah, out in the sun.
37:12It's, like, the male equivalent of a woman having Laperol spritz.
37:15Like, I'm not letting you go and cut the grass.
37:19Liv, I'm absolutely puppet.
37:22Honestly.
37:23And I don't know why.
37:25Why is it all over the floor?
37:26It's dripping all over the floor.
37:27Oh, my God.
37:28What is wrong with you?
37:30It's not dripping.
37:30Oh, no.
37:31It's that.
37:32Oh, it is me.
37:33Alex!
37:34No, that's your roller.
37:35Honestly, that's your roller, you plank.
37:37Put the rollers where I can see them.
37:41Put your hand on your heads and walk out of the room backwards.
37:45And don't go back.
37:50No.
37:51Come here.
37:52Leave me alone.
37:53Come here.
37:53I actually understand why I usually decorate alone.
38:01Sparking memories and creating magic.
38:12Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
38:18Sparking memories and creating magic.
38:22Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you by Glade Fragrances.
38:26Look at your little woo-hoo.
38:40Why is that so satisfying?
38:42Oh, my God.
38:44It's so nice.
38:45Are you happy with your room, Mother?
38:56Yes, it's gorgeous.
38:58Well done, everyone.
38:59That was pure teamwork, though.
39:01I'm so happy with it.
39:03There's a few little bits to add, but it's so ready for Louise to come and stay.
39:07And I might find myself in it, actually.
39:15Are you going to teach Daddy how to ride a horse today?
39:22I was thinking maybe we could push this back a week.
39:25No, today is the day.
39:27I have been meaning to get Alex on a horse for ages, haven't I?
39:31Yeah.
39:32Because, like, obviously, it's been my hobby for, like, years and years and years.
39:35And it's my favourite thing.
39:36They're just so big and I've never been around horses.
39:38So it's just, I don't know, I'm scared.
39:41What's the worst thing?
39:43You could fall off and die.
39:45I don't want to wear a riding hat.
39:46He wants to wear a cowboy hat.
39:47Yeah, I don't want, can I, I don't want to wear a hat.
39:50You're not wearing a cowboy, you should have, like, dangerous it, actually.
39:52Like, in all seriousness, it is, like, you can't...
39:54It looks like a bowling ball on your head.
39:56To be fair, this, this might get me going.
39:59Right, let's go.
40:00Let's go.
40:01Right, change time.
40:02Abel, quick, man, we've got jobs to do.
40:04Let's go.
40:05Let's go.
40:05Quick, quick, quick, quick.
40:07Like, I really want him to like it because it will be such a nice thing for us to do
40:16together, especially, like, as a family, like, with the baby girl coming, I obviously
40:20want to get her into horse riding.
40:21I loved horses from about the age of nine and I got really into it and just, it become
40:27an absolute obsession for me as a kid.
40:31I think it was just one of the best hobbies to ever have.
40:35I struggle with anxiety and have with depression, like, in my life and I feel like the only thing
40:40I ever do that completely takes my mind away from something is horse riding.
40:45When I was pregnant with Abel, it helped me so much.
40:50My horse has always been there for me and they don't judge you because they can't talk
40:54back.
40:54I'm sure she would judge me if she could.
40:58I'm going to put you down this sink.
41:00I am.
41:02I am.
41:04I am going to put you down this sink.
41:06I've just always been brought up to be like, it's okay to be scared, it's okay to show your
41:09emotion and, like, I'm quite an emotional person anyway, so I'm not scared to shoulder and
41:15I want to, like, transfer that onto my kids' life, do you know what I mean?
41:18I want to show him that his dad's brave, you know, to a certain extent.
41:21Yeah, I'm going to take my horse to the old town road, I'm going to ride till I can't
41:28no more.
41:31Oh, no.
41:32It's time.
41:33Look, that's what daddy's going to get on.
41:36Daddy's scared.
41:38I'm not scared.
41:40Yeah, I'm not scared.
41:41Well done.
41:41Come here.
41:42Love you.
41:45Stay relaxed.
41:52Drop your shoulders.
41:54He's a big old boy, man.
41:55Hold on to the saddle.
41:56No, don't pull his mouth.
41:57He'll be fine.
41:57Don't pull his mouth.
41:59He'll be fine.
42:00Oh.
42:01Oh, well.
42:02Maybe not.
42:03I got the horses in the back.
42:07Horse tack is attached.
42:09Head is matted black.
42:10Got the booshes black to match.
42:12Sausage is our little pony that I got Abel about a year ago.
42:17Watch your fingers with her because she thinks they're carrots.
42:20She's tiny, but she's an absolute drama queen.
42:24She thinks you've got a treat.
42:27Dolly is my horse who I haven't been able to ride for.
42:31God, I don't even want to think about how long.
42:32I can't wait to get back on her.
42:34And then Alvano is the one that Alex will be riding.
42:37He is 17'2 and a show jumper.
42:39So he's pretty big.
42:41Look at his veins.
42:43Looks like he's just done a, like, set at the gym.
42:46Oh, my God.
42:47This is a lot because also it's not just a rideable horse.
42:51This is a show jumper.
42:52So he's not the calmest of horses either.
42:55It's quite a big thing for him to be getting on.
42:58Yeah, I can't let my son see me not get on, can I?
43:00No, I'll be fine, man.
43:02You'll be fine, man.
43:03I'll take to it as well.
43:04I feel like I'll take to it.
43:05You'll be outside of five.
43:06I've tried to convince myself now.
43:14It's going to sound really weird, but he's going to sense your energy.
43:17Okay, just chill.
43:18So just chill.
43:20Nice and gentle.
43:22There.
43:22Well done.
43:25Nothing's going to happen.
43:26I've got hold of it.
43:27Okay.
43:30Are we ready?
43:32Oh, my God.
43:36Oh, look, Abel's doing jockey pose.
43:41Abel, stop showing off to me.
43:43You're showing me up, man.
43:45Faster!
43:47Faster?
43:48This is fast enough, son.
43:50Do you feel high up?
43:52Oh, yeah.
43:56No, not yet.
43:57Not yet.
43:58Not yet.
43:59Sausage.
44:00Hello.
44:01Sausage!
44:06Hold on, because she's bitter.
44:07I'm just going to check her for a fly, because...
44:09Sorry, I'd use your camera to get a horsefly.
44:13I'm sorry.
44:15Because she wouldn't...
44:16If it's bitter, she'd be really unhappy.
44:19Yeah.
44:19There was a lot of horseflies around,
44:22and one landed underneath Sausage's belly,
44:26and I think it did sting her,
44:28but she did do a little buck,
44:29tiny little buck,
44:30which, for a kid, is scary.
44:32You're fine.
44:33Look, you're fine.
44:34Yeah, you're fine.
44:35It's fine, darling.
44:36You're fine.
44:37I'm going to get off.
44:39You're fine.
44:41She just found a little fly.
44:42I think she's got a horsefly, to be honest.
44:44She was trying to kick it off.
44:46Why?
44:46Because she didn't like it,
44:48because it stung her.
44:51Abel is getting really heavy now,
44:53so if I pick him up,
44:54it's literally like I'm carrying the whole family.
44:57I'm struggling, because I can't carry him.
44:59I'm going to carry him, Daddy.
45:01Right, are you ready?
45:02Yeah.
45:03Say, trot on.
45:04Trot on.
45:06I love everything today stands for,
45:08because, one, it's Alex showing interest
45:10in something that I love,
45:12and I think he's just doing it for me.
45:14He's literally just doing this for me,
45:15which is amazing.
45:17And, two, it's showing Abel that he can conquer a fear,
45:20and even if you're scared, you can still do something.
45:22So, I'm so proud.
45:26Well done, Al.
45:28That was sick.
45:29That was so good.
45:30Yeah, he's got major dad points.
45:32Major husband points, major dad points for today.
45:35That was so good.
45:36Was it good?
45:38I love it.
45:38Did you enjoy it?
45:39Yeah, it was unreal.
45:39Like, genuinely.
45:40No, I'm not even joking there.
45:41That was unreal.
45:42That's so good.
45:43And you didn't look, like, fearful, or...?
45:45No, I mean, it's fine.
45:46Like I said, it's just, like,
45:48obviously everyone predicts what they are,
45:49when I'm not, like, around them or used to them.
45:51Yeah.
45:52But that's when I'm on the floor,
45:52when I'm up there, it's just, like...
45:54Yeah, you'll get used to it.
45:57Make sure you get those, like, bits.
45:58Oh, he's willier than that.
46:00Yeah.
46:00Easy.
46:01Seeing Alex dressed up like that,
46:03on a horse,
46:04knowing he's doing it for me,
46:05it was a turn-on.
46:06Like, it was a full-on turn-on.
46:20Don't be nagging me on the day.
46:22Let's get one thing straight.
46:23On the day I give birth to our child,
46:26whilst it's ripping me a new one,
46:28I can say whatever the hell I want.
46:30Yeah, you can.
46:31I'm just trying to put in place
46:33some kind of maternity leave.
46:35Sorry, I don't know why I'm crying now.
46:36I believe you've got to go to work
46:38on your birthday
46:39and leave me an able.
46:41Stop it!
46:42And this is why I'm not going to leave you on your own.
46:45Come on, Liv, you can do it!
46:50I'm not allowed to tell anyone
46:52and it's happening.
46:52Not even me.
46:54Oh, God, I shouldn't have said that.
46:55I don't know why I'm crying now.
46:58I don't know why I'm crying.
47:00I don't know why I'm crying.
47:00Sparking memories and creating magic.
47:06Olivia and Alex, Parenthood, brought to you
