00:20Audi fundamentally revised the A5 Series in 2024 and introduced plug-in hybrid models for the first time.
00:27The i-hybrid versions are available in two output levels, with the variant shown here marking the upper end with a system output of 367hp.
00:39This power combination is made possible by a 2-liter TFSI petrol engine with 252hp and an electric motor with up to 143hp integrated between the combustion engine and the transmission.
00:52This so-called double-heart technology enables sporty driving performance.
00:57The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 5.1 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km per hour.
01:07The Audi A5i Hybrid Sedan can travel up to 110 km on electric power alone, thanks to a 25.9kWh high-capacity battery.
01:20This is installed flat in the rear and uses the cell-to-pack principle for the first time, in which the battery cells are integrated directly into the housing.
01:27This achieves a higher energy density while taking up less space.
01:33Of this capacity, 20.7kWh can be used.
01:39Charging is standard with up to 11kW of alternating current.
01:43A complete charging process takes around 2.5 hours.
01:46Thanks to improved cell chemistry, sufficient electrical power is available even at low-charge levels and in cold temperatures.
01:54This is supported by increased recuperation power of up to 88kW.

02:03The predictive hybrid management system uses navigation data to switch between electric and combustion engines as efficiently as possible.
02:13This means that everyday life can be largely emission-free if there is a regular charging option.
02:19At the same time, the A5i Hybrid remains suitable for long distances, in keeping with the style of a classic Audi sedan.
02:25The trunk offers a volume of 331L, which is a good 80L less than a comparable combustion engine.
02:35With the rear seats folded down, which can be split in a ratio of 40 hours 20 minutes and 40 seconds as standard, the load capacity increases to almost 1200L.
02:46The permissible brake trailer load is up to 1.9 tons with a maximum drawbar load of 80kg.
02:52Standard equipment includes progressive steering, an MMI panoramic display, navigation, an inductive charging cradle for smartphones and 3-zone automatic climate control with electric auxiliary air conditioning.
03:08This also works in purely electric mode before starting the journey and ensures a pleasant interior climate at all times.
03:15Standard 18-inch wheels round off the upscale equipment package.
03:19The entry-level price for the Audi A5i Hybrid Sedan with 367hp is around €71,000.
