00:05Today, everything revolves around the new Audi Q5 Hybrid Quattro for the 2025 model year,
00:11which is available as a plug-in hybrid in both the SUV and Sportback versions and boasts numerous technical innovations.
00:18The Q5 impressively demonstrates how consistently Audi is continuing on the path of electrification
00:24without completely abandoning the tried and tested diesel engine.
00:27The focus of the new plug-in hybrid versions is the completely revised drive system,
00:32which is available in two output levels with around 300 horsepower and around 367 horsepower system output.
00:41Both versions combine a 2-liter TSI gasoline engine with an electric motor
00:45and achieve a purely electric range of up to 100 kilometers.
00:50The more powerful drive system accelerates the vehicle from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.1 seconds.
00:57The weaker version takes 6.2 seconds.
01:02The top speed in both cases is 250 kilometers per hour.
01:09Power is transmitted via an electrified dual-clutch transmission in conjunction with the Quadro Ultra all-wheel drive,
01:15promising both dynamic and comfortable driving characteristics.
01:18A major innovation is the high-voltage battery with a capacity of around 26 kilowatt-hours,
01:26whose cell structure now has a two-layer design.
01:30The capacity has been increased by around 45% compared to its predecessor.
01:35The maximum charging capacity is 11 kilowatts via alternating current,
01:40which ensures a full charge in around 2.5 hours.
01:44However, the Q5 does not have a fast charging function via direct current,
01:48such as that available in the A3 plug-in hybrid, for example.
01:52In terms of driving technology, the Q5 offers two main modes.
01:56In EV Muse, the vehicle drives entirely electrically,
02:00while the hybrid mode relies on a balanced use of both drive sources.
02:05With the help of a digital controller,
02:07the desired charge level can now be determined manually for the first time.
02:12Another highlight is the optimized coasting recuperation,
02:15which can be set in three stages using the steering wheel paddles
02:17and is automatically activated based on the navigation data if required,
02:21even without an active destination.
02:23The upgraded standard equipment is particularly noteworthy.
02:28The version with around 300 horsepower includes, among other things,
02:32an S-Sport suspension, a three-zone deluxe automatic climate control system
02:36and the digital infotainment system MMI Experience Plus
02:39with smartphone connectivity and Audi application store.
02:43The sporty interior is complemented by black sport seats in a leather,
02:47synthetic leather combination,
02:4919-inch lightweight wheels in aero design and red painted brake calipers.
02:53In addition, the rear bench seat plus offers flexible seating arrangement
02:58with long sliding and tilting seats.
03:01Those opting for the more powerful version with around 367 horsepower
03:05also receive LED headlights plus and striking LED taillights pro.
03:09Prices for the new Audi Q5i Hybrid Quadro start at around 53,000 euros for the SUV with 220 kilowatts,
03:19while the Q5 Sportback in this performance class starts at around 60,000 euros.
03:24The more powerful version with 270 kilowatts costs around 66,000 euros for the SUV
03:30and around 80,000 euros for the Sportback.
03:32The vehicles will be produced in San Jose, Chiapas, Mexico.
03:39They will be available from mid-June 2025.
03:43The market launch will take place in the third quarter.
