00:00Welcome to the video from the CarMagazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about the new plug-in hybrid models of the Audi A6,
00:07which will be available from summer 2025.
00:10Audi is expanding its range with the A6 Avant E Hybrid Quadro
00:14and the A6 Sedan E Hybrid Quadro.
00:18Both are available in two power levels, with 220 and 270 kW system output.
00:24Both models combine a 2-liter TFSI engine with 25 hp and an electric motor that delivers up to 143 hp.
00:34The more powerful version produces a total of 367 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
00:40This means it can go from 0 to 100 km per hour in 5.3 seconds.
00:45The less powerful version with 299 hp and 450 Nm takes 6 seconds.
00:51The top speed of both versions is 250 km per hour.
00:58Particularly noteworthy is the new high-capacity battery with a capacity of 25.9 kWh,
01:04which corresponds to an increase of around 45% compared to the previous model.
01:10This enables both the Avant and the Sedan to cover over 100 km on electric power alone.
01:16The maximum AC charging power is 11 kW,
01:21meaning a full charge from empty takes around 2.5 hours.
01:26Regenerative braking performance has also been improved.
01:29In the EV Muse, the driver can choose between three levels of coasting recuperation using pedals on the steering wheel.
01:35The A6i Hybrid generally attempts to drive on electric power for as long as possible,
01:41using existing route information from the navigation system to achieve targeted recuperation,
01:46even without an active navigation destination.
01:49According to Audi, the hybrid management is designed for efficiency and comfort
01:53and automatically decides on the best operating strategy.
01:56Two modes are available.
02:00EV for purely electric driving and hybrid,
02:02in which the charge level is kept constant so that electrical energy can be used specifically at a later time.
02:09In addition, a desired charge level can be individually set using a digital slider.
02:16The electrified dual-clutch transmission, standard all-wheel drive,
02:20and standard all-wheel steering contribute to driving comfort.
02:23This increases maneuverability at low speeds and improves stability at high-need hybrid Quadro
02:31with 220 kW engine power starts at just under €66,000 in Germany.
02:37The more powerful variants with 270 kW start at around setport suspension,
02:44larger wheels, and red brake calipers.
02:47The new models can be ordered from May 8, 2025,
02:51and the market launch will follow in the summer.
